Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to your MAIN EVENT
The show begins with Denver Colorado (The man not the place) with his broadcast partner the legendary Ricky Morton, welcoming the fans watching to another edition of NWA Main Event! The camera cuts to the ring where Corey Graves is waiting for his scheduled opponent Shark Boy... "Blueprint" by Jay Z hits instead as "The Last of a Dieing Breed" Eddie Kingston comes to the ring with a mic in hand, ignoring Graves who looks annoyed.
Eddie Kingston: I'm the last of a dieing breed, last week I put that punk Joey Ryan on his ass and this week I don't even get a match on the show? What the f**k! You got this piece of s**t over here who's going to wrestle some pip squeak in a shark mask? Bulls**t! This is supposed to be wrestling, but all I see is a bunch of jokes! I want...
Graves heard enough as he blindsided Kingston, and this became an impromptu match!
SINGLES MATCH
Eddie Kingston vs. Corey Graves
Eddie Kingston vs. Corey Graves
Kingston was staggered by a surprise opening assault from Graves, knocking the "King of Diamonds" around the ring. Kingston had a really hard time getting his footing in this one as Graves was as aggressive as he's ever been. TOXIC may have thrown him out but it looks like now it was actually holding him back, as he looked to close in on making Kingston eat his words. Kingston wouldn't be shown up and came roaring back out of seemingly nowhere, smacking Graves with a brutal backfist crumpling Corey, giving Kingston another victory.
Kingston: Keep lining up bitches and I'll keep givin' um stitches!
FOUR WAY X TITLE MATCH
Caleb Konley vs. AR Fox vs. Chance Prophet vs. Ricky Reyes
Caleb Konley vs. AR Fox vs. Chance Prophet vs. Ricky Reyes
This could have been a convoluted tournament, instead show runner Dustin Smith decided to take four of his brightest X division stars and put them in an elimination match, the winner coming away as champion. Chance was the first eliminated as AR Fox watched on with guilt as Reyes and Konley applied a crab/armbar combo folding up Prophet like a violent pretzel. Fox would immediatly jump into the fray showing off why the crowd is so firmly behind him. Reyes was the next to get eliminated as Fox hit the Lo Mein Pain to get a pinfall, leaving it to Fox and Konley as the two remaining. Fox and Konley had heart stopping exchanges that teased a finish bringing the fans to their feet with "This is Awesome" chants, but in the end it was AR Fox hitting a springboard 450 to come away as the first X division champion!
TAG TEAM MATCH
The Gladiators(Mason Ryan & Rob Terry) vs. Primal Rage(Monty Brown & Mark Henry)
The Gladiators(Mason Ryan & Rob Terry) vs. Primal Rage(Monty Brown & Mark Henry)
These two teams eliminated themselves from last weeks gauntlet, so this week they'd have a winner, which would go on to challenge the Rockstars at a later date. These four behemoths weighed in at a combined weight of 1,270lbs. with Monty Brown being the lightest at 265! This match had all the pleasantness of a herd of cattle in a china shop. There was a lot of tests of strength and feats of superhuman strength. The ring shook and creaked violently with each slam as both teams beat the holy hell out of each other. The match came to a finish when Brown uncorking a wicked pounce that put Terry down just long enough for a three count.
NWA MAIN EVENT TV TITLE MATCH
Prince Devitt w/ Steve Corino vs. "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce
Prince Devitt w/ Steve Corino vs. "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce
This was another hand picked match by the show runner who see's a lot of potential in these two. Pearce tried to grind down Devitt and pace the match his way, not letting Devitt build deadly momentum. Corino was an absolute terror for the ref at ringside trying to help Devitt out of some bad situations. Corino ended up costing his client the match by sliding a chair to close to Pearce, trying to get the refs attention to stop Pearce only distracted the ref more as Pearce blasted Devitt with the chair. Adam used a piledriver for good measure before getting the refs attention to finally make the count to become the Tv champion!
The show cuts to the back where Kurt Angle is recovering from some sort of backstage attack as a medic tends to a cut on his forehead bandaging him up. Kurt looks focused as he stares focused at the camera seething with rage.
SINGLES MATCH
"The Stone Jaw Outlaw" Garrett Dylan vs. "The Viper" Randy Orton
"The Stone Jaw Outlaw" Garrett Dylan vs. "The Viper" Randy Orton
Orton's smug grin wiped away quickly as Dylan made his way to the ring, a throw back to the southern brawlers of the old days. Orton used his speed and slithering nature to keep from taking to severe of a beating from Garrett. Orton would pick his spots eventually bringing the match into his favor. Orton used his suspension DDT to really stun the outlaw who tried one last ditched attempt to decapitate Randy with a lariat but it only left Dylan open to eat an RKO.
NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH
"Wrestling's ONLY Olympic Gold Medalist" Kurt Angle vs. Christopher Daniels(c)
"Wrestling's ONLY Olympic Gold Medalist" Kurt Angle vs. Christopher Daniels(c)
A focused but very battle weary Angle brought everything he had to this match, but a lot of damage had been done prior to the bout. Midway through the match Jarrett walked out to the ring holding the handle of a smashed guitar as he smirks, although it quickly faded when Angle made eye contact and things clicked. Angle was taken out of the match and Daniels who even as a redeemed man isn't one to overlook an opportunity. Jarrett was loving the match as Angle continued to suffer a beating as Daniels reopened the wound on Angle's head making him a bloody mess. Daniels was a bit concerned over the raging Olympian who kicked out of an angels wings, as well as the BME but he was finally able to score the win with another angels wings.
Daniels would get his title and start to exit the ring only to notice Jarrett slip into the ring trying to pick apart what's left of the beaten Angle. But the reformed champion would come to the aide of his opponent protecting him from further harm. Jarrett would slap the champion across the face challenging him to a match. Daniels wouldn't back down accepting the challenge, only to have Jarrett continue to egg the world champion on eventually getting him to agree to put the title on the line as the show fades out.
