Athena Pro - Dec. 6
Queen Elizabeth Stadium, Hong Kong
Queen Elizabeth Stadium, Hong Kong
As the show starts, all the roster and staff are on the ramp, wearing white armbands in mourning of Nelson Mandela. Everyone is silent as a tribute song plays.
Syuri is walking down the ramp without music or lighting effects. She is handed a mic and climbs into the ring. She bows deeply to the fans on every side of the ring.
Syuri - I am here tonight to apologize to all of you, to all the girls who compete in this ring, and to all the staff of JPP. What I have done and tried to do in the past year were completely uncalled for. After the Fall Brawl pay-per-view, I was sent to work with a friend of Chen san. That was a humbling experience but I was still angry.
A month ago, everything I was holding in and blaming on others failed to have any meaning at all. The island in The Philippines were I have many family members was devastated by Typhoon Haiyan. When I went to help out however I could, everything in my life except that had no meaning anymore.
Last week, when I was fortunate to win the battle royal, I won the opportunity to challenge for any title I want. I do not deserve a title match after all I have done. Instead of a title match, what I do want is your forgiveness. I don’t expect you to forget what I have done, but I beg you to please forgive me.
As Syuri is bowing to the fans again, Commissioner Asami Konno comes out to the ring.
Commissioner Konno - Syuri. I have seen how much you have changed since your visit to The Philippines. By winning the battle royal you did win a title match of your choice, but you have chosen not to use that choice. I will be giving you an opportunity though. Starting tonight, there will be an eight woman tournament to determine the #1 contender to the JPP Openweight Title. You will be in the tournament and your first round match is our first match tonight…. Good luck!
Syuri is doing a few warmups while waiting for her first round opponent to come out. Chii Tomiya comes out, carrying her dubious title belt on her shoulder. Chii shows off her title as she poses on each turnbuckle. Even Syuri is chuckling a bit. Chii hangs the belt on the turnbuckle in her corner and hangs her coat on the ringpost. The ref calls for the bell.
Syuri holds out her hand. Chii smiles and kicks it away. Syuri wipes the smile off Chii’s face with a roundhouse kick to the head. Chii quickly rolls out to the floor. Syuri holds the ropes open. Chii cautiously climbs onto the apron. Instead of stepping through the ropes, Chii kicks Syuri then dives through the ropes onto her. Syuri kicks her off quickly. After a few more minutes of action, Chii tries for an enzuigiri but Syuri ducks and catches her with a bridging German suplex and gets the three count.

Both Lin and LuFisto get great pops as they come out for their match. They shake hands and Lin even shakes hands with Pegaboo. Pegaboo takes a seat in the corner and the ref calls for the bell.
Right from the bell, they hit each other with their best moves. Neither is able to string together more than three or four moves before the momentum is reversed. After getting the better of Lin for a couple minutes, LuFisto goes to the top turnbuckle. Before LuFisto can do anything, Lin recovers and heads up top also. They exchange some heavy-duty chops that can be heard everywhere. Out of nowhere, Lin sends LuFisto to the floor with a hurricanrana while holding onto the top rope. Lin slips back into the ring and the ref starts the count. LuFisto starts to get up at 7 and pulls herself onto the apron just too late as the ref reaches 10.
Lin Bairon beat LuFisto by countout
Ring Announcer Alyson Hau - Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the ring, once again, your NWA World Women’s Champion, KANA!!!!
Kana comes, without face paint, proudly wearing the title belt. She walks around the ring, high fiving fans and even accepting a few hugs. She climbs into the ring and holds up the belt for everyone to see.
Alyson Hau - Congratulations on regaining the World Women’s Title last week. Many fans, media and critics are calling your win controversial. Do you have any idea why Manami Toyota did what she did?
Kana - All the emails, tweets, high fives and hugs are why I wanted to get this title back… and it feels great! All I know about what went down last week is that a woman I used to respect tried to extort JPP Owner Chen san for money to appear on last week’s show when everyone else was appearing for free. That is the last I will discuss that situation.
Alyson Hau - What is next… actually, who is next for Kana? Who will you be the first challenger for your title?
Kana - There are a lot of great veterans and some very talented young stars out there who would be amazing challengers for this belt. But I’m sure most people know who is probably the #1 contender right now and she’ll probably want to gloat about it, so come on out Ramu.
Ramu comes down the ramp, feigning humility. She climbs into the ring, walks over to Kana and holds out her hand. Kana looks at the fans, many of who are saying no, before cautiously shaking Ramu’s hand.
Ramu - I didn’t come out her to gloat about my great victory last week that extended my great title reign. I came out here to congratulate a very good wrestler on regaining her title in a very gruelling contest last week. It must have taken every ounce of your intestinal fortitude to withstand that withering assault last week and eek out a narrow victory.
It was very kind of you to name me as the #1 contender for your title. But you will have to wait before facing your greatest challenger. Whoever survives the tournament that has started tonight will be my next challenger. Once I defeat whoever it is to extend my great title reign, I will be in a position to be the greatest challenger for the NWA World Women’s Title. If my great memory is correct, that will give you enough time to polish up that belt so it can be won by a great new champion at Starrcade on January 14th.
That is a Great Truth
Marcela gets a good pop as she comes out to the ring. She does a few warmups and tests the ropes. Miyako comes out, dancing to ‘Dancing Queen.’ She does several pirouettes and plies to warm up. The ref calls for the bell.
Miyako tries to get Marcela to dance with her. Marcela just shakes her head and chuckles. Miyako finally decides to lock up with Marcela and shows some surprising skill and agility. Marcela is able to reverse Miyako’s early offence and take control of the match. Miyako manages to get in a few bursts of offence but Marcela controls most of the action. Marcela finishes off Miyako with a Michinoku Driver and gets the three count.

Dalis gets a very limited reaction from the fans who don’t know about her. Lisa gets the huge hometown pop as she comes to the ring. Dalis and Lisa shake hands. The ref calls for the bell.
Despite already holding the JPP Junior Title, Lisa is out to prove how much she has improved. Dalis tries to get a quick start, but Lisa’s martial arts skills are too much and Dalis never gets into the match. After a tornado DDT, Lisa goes to the top turnbuckle. She holds up two fingers then comes off with a double-rotation moonsault. The ref makes the three count.
