The First Ever South Beach DVD

We start off this DVD with various shots of Kalamazoo, Michigan as the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Christopher Daniels narrates some of the highlights and low lights of his career before we head to his first match in South Beach from South Beach's First Show.

Match Number Three: Christopher Daniels vs. Michael Elgin (Quarterfinal match in the South Beach Title Tournament)
This is the second match in the NWA SB title tournament. Nicely paced match with Elgin coming close on several occasions. Christopher Daniels gets the victory after Roderick Strong fails in an attempt to interfere and runs off with Elgin in hot pursuit, getting himself counted out in the process.
Winner: Christopher Daniels

We go to an interview with South Beach General Manager John Bradshaw Layfield, who calls Daniels one of the best pure in ring talents that he has ever seen. We go to our second match from Thanksgiving Thrashings.

Main Event: Four man elimination match: Bully Ray vs. Low Ki vs. Kevin Steen vs. Christopher Daniels
As formal ring introductions are made, the announcers run down the card for Fall Brawl in two weeks from Philadelphia. The bell rings and Steen, Ki, and Daniels all jump Bully Ray early. Ki seems to take great pleasure in lighting the Bully up with a various assortment of kicks from his educated feet. Steen takes a turn and starts mauling Ray as Daniels and Low Ki stand back chatting, possibly discussing strategy for the match and Fall Brawl. Steen continues his onslaught on Bully so Daniels and Low Ki decided to turn their attentions toward each other, shake hands and start trading holds trying to gain the upper hand. The former triple x stablemates know each other so well that after a few minutes of reversals that it ends in a stalemate as the crowd shows their appreciation. Both men nod their approval to each other only to get taken out by a double clothesline from Kevin Steen. Steen goes to work on Daniels while Low Ki turns his attention back to Bully laying into him with more precision strikes, at one point screaming something about which borough in NY is the weakest now. The referee, distracted by Daniels and Steen, doesn't see Bully low blow Low Ki. Bubba rolls Ki up, the ref makes the count as Bully puts one foot on the ropes, but Ki kicks out at two. Back to the other side of the ring and Daniels has been laid out by Steen who heads to the top rope looking to possibly end the fallen angel's night right here. Steen stumbles on the top rope which gives Low Ki just enough time to stop him. Ki hooks steen up for a top rope super-plex, but Steen hangs on. Bully then comes up to the second rope and grabs Ki from behind in a german suplex position. The announcers are praying nobody gets seriously injured as they make a quick plug for anyone watching this to NOT try this at home. Steen is still hanging on for dear life, which gives Daniels enough time to get underneath Bully Ray and power bomb him, which causes Bully to german suplex Ki, the strain of which causes Steen's grip to break and get super-plexed from the top to the mat! The crowd chants for godlike fecal matter as none of the participants in the ring are moving. Bully Ray is the first to stir, covers Low Ki, and earns a three count.
First Elimination: Low Ki

The crowd is on their feet and there are still two more falls in the match. Bully tries crawling over to Steen to make it two for two. Steen still hasn't moved as Bully throws an arm over him. The crowd is chanting along with the count. ONE......TWO....STEEN KICKS OUT! Steen starts stirring and starts working Bully over. He sets Bully up for the Steenalizer, but bully turns it into a facebuster. One....TWO.....Kickout at 2 and 4/5. Just then the camera notices someone moving through the crowd....ITS KOFI KINGSTON FROM CPW! The announcers are wondering how security could be THIS bad tonight at the arena. Bully is sitting in disbelief and gets CLOCKED by a kick to the back of the head from Daniels. Daniels goes over and picks up Steen for Last Rites. Steen counters into a stunner and follows up with F-Cinq! Steen locks in the crossface in the middle of the ring. The fans are chanting for Daniels as he struggles to make it to the ropes. Daniels can't make it! He taps to the crossface! Daniels is eliminated!
Second Elimination: Christopher Daniels

The crowd starts to chant "This is awesome" as both men move to a neutral corner. The ref checks to make sure both men are in any condition to continue the match. It all comes down to Wrestling's Worst Nightmare vs The Business's Biggest Bully. Both men circle each other, building the anticipation, until finally Bully spits in Steen's face. Steen snaps and both men start brawling. The referee breaks the two combatants up as a masked man comes running down the ramp! Bully has the ref distracted and the masked man nails Steen with a pipe to the back of the head and drops down under the ring! Bully hits a Bully Bomb as the announcers are hoping that the match doesn't end this way. Bully covers, ONE...TWO....KICKOUT! Bully screams in frustration and starts raining fists down on the Anti-Christ of Professional Wrestling. Bully gets pulled away by the ref, and Bully looks like he wants to destroy the ref. Bully goes back to Steen who is staggering. Steen and Ray trade bombs in the middle of the ring. Bully sends Steen into the ropes, telegraphs a back body drop and Steen hits a knee lift. Steen signals for the Sharpshooter and locks it in with Ray facing away from the ropes. The ref is too busy checking to see whether Bully wants to give to see the masked man reappear and crack Steen over the head with a chair before disappearing under the ring again. God that was a sick thud. The ref doesn't know what happened, Bully rolls Steen over and covers him. ONE...TWO....THREE. This match is over.
Winner: Bully Ray.

We go to a shot of Daniels inside his childhood home and he mentions that he was falling into a dark place right after he got signed to South Beach and would literally do ANYTHING to get some glory back....as we found out in our next match from Christmas Chaos 2012.

Main Event: "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels vs Bully Ray vs Low Ki (Guest Referee: Devon Dudley, Guest Enforcer: JBL) NWA South Beach Heavyweight Title Triple Threat Match
Low Ki and Daniels quickly double team Bully Ray and send him to the outside. The former triple x members square off with each other and trade headlocks and armdrags, finishing with simultaneous dropkicks that ends in a stalemate. Daniels sends Low Ki off the ropes, telegraphs a back body drop which Low Ki counters by leapfrogging and following with a roll-up for a quick near fall. Bully Ray rushes the ring and hits a double clothesline, followed by scoop slams to both men. Ray hits the ropes and hits a big leg drop on Low Ki for a two count. Daniels backs Bully into a corner and starts lighting his chest up with chops. Low Ki joins in until Ray pushes both men back and takes Low Ki down with a right but turns into a right from Daniels. Daniels and Bully trade shots as the crowd does the clicheingly obligatory "Boo-Yay" with each shot. Daniels hits the ropes but gets laid out with a spine buster, covers and Low Ki breaks up the pin at 1. Ki starts with kicks to the body and legs. Ki clotheslines Bully over the ropes, then follows up by going to the top for a HIGH cross body to the outside as the crowd goes crazy. Ki gets back in the ring and gets met by a stiff shot to the head from Daniels, who covers with Ki kicking out at one and a half. Daniels and Ki trade shots until Daniels goes for a neckbreaker. Low Ki blocks and hooks the arms, both men now trying for a backslide. Bully rushes the ring and clotheslines Low Ki who floats over Daniels and hits a DDT! Low Ki shoots the half and manages to get a two count before Bully breaks it up as the crowd chants HOLY SHIT. Ki gets back up and starts firing rapid fire kicks at Bully. Bully is dazed now, and Ki hits a brainbuster! Ki goes up to the top....WARRIORS WAY! 1.....2...and DANIELS BREAKS IT UP! The crowd starts chanting "THIS IS AWESOME!" Bully Ray gets up and picks up a groggy Low Ki: BULLY BOMB! 1....2....AND A KICK OUT! Bully goes over to Devon and starts screaming at him telling him that he's ruining his shot at immortality. Devon just smirks and Bully says something that the network censors DEFINITELY would not approve of.

Bully Ray goes to the outside and JBL gets out of his chair. Bully picks up the chair and JBL does nothing to stop him! Bully gets in the ring with chair and hand and Devon stops him as Daniels watches with Low Ki behind him. Devon grabs the chair and hands it to Daniels while Bully Ray stands there smirking? What the hell is going on? Daniels takes a long look at Bully Ray who simply says "Phase 3". Daniels nods, turns around, AND CRACKS THE CHAIR OVER LOW-KI'S SKULL! The announcers wonder what has gotten into Daniels as the camera pans to JBL smiling and laughing! Daniels picks up a lifeless Low-Ki and hits the Last Rites followed by the Angel's Wings as Bully and Devon stand laughing and the crowd is booing. Daniels casually puts a boot on Low-Ki as Devon counts 3.
Winner and FIRST EVER NWA South Beach Heavyweight Champion: "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels.

Ray and Devon hold the ropes open for JBL who enters the ring and presents Daniels with the title while Bully Ray gets a mic.

Bully Ray: ARE YOU PEOPLE SO DENSE THAT YOU COULDN'T SEE THIS COMING? Chris has been telling you Floridian F***tards that he is the FALLEN ANGEL ever since the first show, and with our illustrious General Manager being a WRESTLING GOD; that made it almost too easy to plan! *Devon pulls out a mask and puts it on* It seems that the only thing we had to do was make sure that NONE of us were in a ring at the same time unless we could control the outcome. Chris, would you like to say a few words to the sheep?

*Daniels takes the mic*

Daniels: I have said it before, and I will say it again: I am the FALLEN ANGEL sent from the heavens to become more GODLIKE in word and in deed. *Turns to JBL on one knee* My savior, I hope that my work has pleased you. All my actions have been done according to your doctrine and I am ready to reascend back into the heavens with my brothers *Bully and Devon flank Daniels and take a knee* by my side.

JBL: *laughing* Thank you my children. Everything has been done according to my commandments. *Turns to face the crowd* You see everyone; I knew when I was brought into this territory that I would never be able to grace you people with something that you do not deserve: my outstanding in ring talent. So I set forth to find people to carry out my doctrine. The three people you see in the ring before me are my UNHOLY TRINITY and will set forth to destroying anything and everything that is PURE in this territory. Now Bully, Devon, and my champion Daniels; rise as one and prepare to rule!

Devon: OH MY BROTHAS! TESTIFY!

We go to an interview with the current South Beach Champion Low Ki, who said that losing Daniels as a friend was like having a family member die...and that it took him a LONG time to get over it.

Main Event: "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels (c) vs. Kevin Steen (Fight without Honor for the NWA South Beach Championship) (Main event of the Second Day of Rising from the Ashes, April 2013)
The champion comes down first with Bully Ray and Devon at his side. Out next is Kevin Steen on crutches with Super Dragon at his side. "Mr. Wrestling" has a mic in hand.

Steen: Now as most of you all know, I have some damage to my right knee after the assault last month by the Unholy assholes and their lackluster lug, Luke Gallows. Before coming here tonight I went to the doctor to find out if I could compete and unfortunately I can't. *crowd boos while Daniels goes to leave the ring* Now wait just a minute Daniels, you aren't getting out of here that easily. You see, I have a replacement for you tonight that somehow hates you more than either Dragon or I do.

Daniels: NO! No no no no no no no no. Now wait! The agreement that you made before OUR match was that I would face YOU. YOU NEVER said that you would have to be in perfect condition in order to face me. If you're a man of HONOR then either grow some balls and face me like a man or I'm leaving this arena right now and all you idiots can go home crying. I'm NOT fighting ANY "replacement" that you've picked out because I would kick their ass anyway, and there isn't a single person IN THIS BUILDING that can make me!

WAIT JUST A DAMN MINUTE!

Howard: You see Chris, that's where you're wrong. Now JBL might be the General Manager of this territory and sign the checks, but I am the one who tells him who the checks get written to! Now if you do not defend your title tonight against Mr. Steen's handpicked replacement then you will be stripped of your championship and neither you nor ANYBODY associated with your Unholy Trinity will be able to challenge for it until a new champion is crowned!

Steen: Now Chris, if you're finished trying to bullying the boss, I believe these people are tired of talking and you STILL have to meet your opponent. So without further ado, your opponent tonight will hopefully save us all from your reign of terror: "The Dark Savior" SUICIDE! Suicide grabs the mic:

Suicide: Daniels, I have waited for this moment for a long time. I battled demons while escaping the pits of hell and stood in the ashes of a billion souls. I asked them if honor truly exists. In this fight without honor you will come to see the answer I received. Prepare to be saved and delivered into the hands of the righteous.

*Daniels looks half scared half demented as Suicide approaches the ring flanked by Steen and Dragon*

Formal introductions are made and Daniels is already looking for a way out. Collar and elbow tie up and Daniels quickly backs away as Suicide mimes the gun to his head as the crowd laughs. Daniels tries to calm himself and locks up with Suicide again, managing to lock in a hammer lock which Suicide reverses and immediately follows with a dropkick to the back of the head. Bully tries to get on the apron but The Dark Savior almost scuttles over to him and tilts his head. Bully looks a little shocked and cautiously backs away. The distraction allows Daniels to quickly swoop in and start pounding upon any part of Suicide he can reach, eventually choking him up in the ropes. The champ asks Devon for a chair, gets it, and wedges it between two turnbuckles. Daniels now with a snapmare hold on Suicide, yells to the crowd "THIS IS YOUR SAVIOR!", and runs into the turnbuckles, driving Suicide skull first into the chair! Daniels sits Suicide up, and asks if the crowd wants to see the face of their hero....but gets stopped by a flying crossbody from Richie Steamboat! Steamboat goes to Suicide and starts checking on him, only to turn around to a HUGE boot from Luke Gallows! The Retoxified Reverend has made his prescense felt! Gallows tells Devon to grab a table and set it up inside the ring. Gallows puts a chair almost directly underneath the table, picks Richie up and drives him through the table with a Twelfth Step! Steamboat's head bounces violently off the chair as Daniels and Suicide pause from trading blows to survey what's going on. Daniels takes advantage of the distraction to steer Suicide into a corner, climb to the middle turnbuckle and start whaling away with fists to the face. Daniels throws Suicide to the mat and goes for the BME! He hits it! Cover....one....two...and a kick out. The crowd starts chanting for Suicide, who manages to start fighting back and hits a bridging a german suplex for a near fall. This only seems to piss off Daniels who goes right back to work, grabs that mangled chair and places it directly over the throat of Suicide and starts choking him with it! Suicide looks like he's passed out, and the ref goes to check only to be sent scurrying away by a chair-weilding Daniels. Daniels places the chair down and hits Last Rites on the chair! Suicide might be damn close to concussed. Daniels looks to go for the cover, waits for two then picks Suicide's head up breaking the count. Daniels stands Suicide up and hits Last Rites again on the chair! The crowd starts booing mercilessly. Daniels sits Suicide up and shouts "It's time to see your hero!"

Striker: Come on Chris, enough is enough.

Schilling: Damn right, no human being deserves this. Pin him and get it over with!

The Fallen Angel pulls off the mask.....to reveal ANOTHER SUICIDE MASK! Daniels looks triumphantly at the mask and doesn't realize that Suicide is still masked! Daniels turns around to face Suicide who is standing up, and visibly shaking in anger....Daniels looks dumbfounded for a split second as he falls under a sudden onslaught of blows from The Dark Savior! Almost being unmasked has made Suicide come alive! Daniels tries to cover, but to no avail, as Suicide is acting every part of the demon from hell that he claims to be. Daniels quickly stuns Suicide and tries for Angel's Wings but Suicide counters, goes behind and hits the Suicide Solution! WE MIGHT HAVE A NEW CHAMPION! ONE....TWO....AND A KICK OUT! AND A KICKOUT! THIS IS A WAR! Daniels fires back, and momentarily stuns Suicide. Daniels tells Bully to grab another table and set it up in the ring. While Bully is occupied by this, Daniels hits a Spicy Drop! Daniels then picks up Suicide in an electric chair setup, crosses the arms straight-jacket style, and walks over to the table looking almost like a modified Fall From Grace. Suicide starts kicking any part of Daniels he can and manages to stun the champ long enough to break his arms free. Suicide shifts around looking like a possible hurricarana. Suicide mimes a gun to the head while Daniels turns blindly and swings his momentum forward....DOA THROUGH THE TABLE!!!! Suicide rolls him over.....ONE.....TWO....THREE! SUICIDE WINS!
Winner and NEW NWA South Beach Champion: Suicide

The crowd EXPLODES as Steen, Dragon, and Richie Steamboat (still holding his head due to the effect of that violent 12th Step earlier) get in the ring and a battered Suicide celebrates. The four men walk up the ramp as the Dudleys and Gallows help Daniels to his feet. Before going behind the curtain Suicide pauses and turns around. Suicide hands the title to Steamboat, looks at Daniels and does the gun taunt before taking his mask off......IT'S LOW KI! LOW KI HAS EXACTED REVENGE ON DANIELS! AFTER OVER THREE MONTHS AWAY LOW KI HAS FINALLY EXORCISED HIS DEMONS AND THIS PHOENIX HAS INDEED RISEN FROM THE ASHES! Daniels looks like he's seen a ghost as Steen and Dragon clap Ki on the shoulder and laugh. Rising From the Ashes Day 2 goes off the air with the crowd roaring their approval at the return of the One World Warrior.

We go back to Daniels and he says that Low Ki returning and winning the South Beach Title from him shocked him to his core and sent him spiraling down with delusions of grandeur.....it was time to set his sights on a new goal: the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.

Main Event: NWA World Heavyweight Champion Kyle Matthews, "The Angel of Death" Azrieal, "The Prophet" D'Angelo Dinero and "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson vs "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels, NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion "The Whole Shebang" Johnny Gargano, Paul London, and NWA South Beach Chanpion Low Ki (8-man tag match) (Main Event of Breakdown from May 2013)
Low Ki and Danielson start off trading holds so fast that the announce team can't keep up with it. Danielson eventually lands a dragon suplex but doesn't bridge instead. Danielson drags the South Beach Champ over to his corner and The Prophet Dinero tags in and starts working over Low Ki with an array of strikes. Low Ki still looks out of it from the 15 minute war that he had with Gargano earlier in the show. The crowd chants for the champ as Dinero quickly hits a 4-Up for a near fall. Low Ki tries to crawl over to his corner but gets caught by D'Angelo. The Paragon of Virtue tries to drag him back but Low Ki manages to hit an enzugiri which momentarily stuns his adversary enough that Ki launches himself toward his corner and tags in Paul London! London comes in off the top rope and hits a huge crossbody on Dinero before going over and knocking everyone on the opposite team off the apron. London with quick strikes and a scoop slam before going to the top again....London hits a 450 and covers! One.....two....and Bryan Danielson breaks the pin attempt up with a diving headbutt! Danielson with some quick strikes to London before leaving the ring. London goes over to tag in Gargano but gets stopped by Azrieal! Azrieal tagged in while London was trying to recover from the mini onslaught by Danielson. The Angel of Death picks up up Paul in an electric chair....and hits the Dusted Driver! Azrieal covers as Matthews looks on from ringside grinning. One.....Two....and Daniels breaks up the pin, trying to save the glimmering hope he has of challenging for the world title. London comes back with a quick northern lights suplex for a near fall. London tags in Johnny Gargano and the Junior Heavyweight Champion comes in sneering at Matthews. Gargano hooks Azrieal in a full nelson and looks to hit Hurts Donut but instead switches grips and locks in the Garga-No-Escape! Azrieal is struggling as the self professed antichrist of The Prophecy looks mortified. Matthews crosses himself before going to the top and hitting a missile dropkick on Azrieal which breaks the hold! Daniels looks shocked as Striker and Schilling mention that if Matthews would have let his Angel of Death submit that he could have stopped Daniels from challenging for the title at The Bash!

Gargano looks furious at what the champ did. He picks Azrieal up, points at Kyle, and shouts at the champ to tag in......if he has the balls to go up against greatness. Kyle's fuse, already so dangerously short, looks like its about ready to snap as he screams at Azrieal to tag him in; he does and Kyle comes in and immediately starts trading rights and lefts with Gargano. Gargano misses with a short armed clothesline and Kyle hits a neckbreaker. Kyle with the cover....one....two....NO! Gargano kicks out! Gargano gets up and goes for a suplex but Matthews blocks and hits one of his own. Matthews signals for the Hidaka Lock but takes a long look at Christopher Daniels and smiles! Matthews walks over and to The Fallen Angel and mouths "it's over". Daniels smiles? Why is he smiling? Daniels just shakes his head and Matthews' expression changes from one of supreme smugness to one of horror as Gargano locks in a full nelson....HURTS DONUT! Gargano hits Hurts Donut on the champ! Gargano covers! ONE.....TWO.....AND THE REF GETS PULLED OUT BY WYATT AND MAFF! The ref threatens to throw the match out when Christopher Daniels comes down and pleads with the ref to reconsider. The ref nods and Chris ushers him back in the ring. Daniels looks at Wyatt and Maff who are advancing on him and tells them to turn around. They do and they get SPEARED BY LESNAR! Brock Lesnar just speared Bray and Dan out of their boots! Lesnar gets up wincing and holding his right arm. He smiles at Daniels who gets back up on the apron to catch a tag from Gargano! Daniels hits a huge scoop slam on Matthews, goes to the top.....BME! Daniels hits the Best Moonsault Ever! He goes for the cover...but Matthews locks in the Hidaka Lock! Matthews looks demented as he wrenches on Christopher's arm. Daniels claws to the ropes...he's almost there......HE MAKES THE ROPES! DANIELS MADE IT TO THE ROPES! The ref has to yank Matthews off of Daniels to get him to break and the champ starts screaming at the ref. Daniels sneaks up behind the Kyle and rolls him up! ONE.....TWO....THREE! DANIELS JUST PINNED THE CHAMP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING!
Winners: Christopher Daniels, Johnny Gargano, Paul London and Low Ki

Rock Bottom

Main Event: "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels vs. Bully Ray and Devon (Handicap lumberjack match with The Prophecy at ringside, and NWA World Heavyweight Champion Kyle Matthews as special guest referee) (Main Event of the first episode of South Beach TV)
The match starts off with Devon and Daniels kind of feeling each other out. Devon tries for a Saving Grace DDT but Daniels blocks and turns it into a nice Northern Lights Suplex for a near fall. Daniels looks almost shocked that he got a fair count. Matthews mimics "right down the middle" with a smug grin on his face. Daniels turns around and gets a stiff kick to the gut from Devon who immediately throws him outside to the big man Bray Wyatt who pounces on him and throws a few cheap punches before rolling him back into the ring. Devon tags Bully in and Bully actually looks a little hesitant before looking at Kyle who warns him about "giving his all" before going to Daniels and starts laying in with various punches to the body. Bully tries for a Bully Cutter but Daniels counters into a sleeper slam for a nice near fall. Bully gets up and immediately goes back to work on Daniels. Daniels leans up against the ropes, charges but Daniels almost falls down and pulls the ropes down with him. Ray goes over the top and to the floor where Ray gets pounced on by The Prophet D'Angelo Dinero, who immediately hits a 4-UP as we go to commercial.

Back from break and Daniels is still putting up a good fight against his two friends. Suddenly Matthews calls for the mic.

Matthews: You know Chris you're really impressing me, but in order to save the NWA you must prove yourself even further....therefore, by the powers vested in me, I hereby make this match No Disqualification.

Things break down from there as The Prophecy take carte blanche to come in the ring and destroy everyone involved in this match. Maff grabs a chair and sets Daniels up in the corner as Dinero pulls down his knee pads.....DDE! The force sends Daniels' head into the chair and he's busted open. Maff hits and Inverted Death Valley Driver! The Prophecy covers Daniels with Bully Ray and this one is over as Matthews makes the count.
Winner: Bully Ray

After the match The Prophecy continues to beat down on the broken bodies of the Trinity. Matthews grabs a steel chair *CRACK* and lays Daniels out with the damn chair. The shot reopens the cut on Daniels' head as the announcers plead for the madness to stop. Matthews signals to his Prophecy to go under the ring. Bray grabs something wooden....oh my god it's a cross......he pulled out a cross. Azriel grabs a couple lengths of rope as Dinero, Maff and Wyatt put the cross in the ring. They tie Daniels up and they've crucified him. This is sick. They stand the cross up in the corner as Daniels continues to bleed like a seive. The first episode of South Beach TV ends with Matthews standing next to the cross screaming "This is your Fallen Angel! THIS IS YOUR SAVIOR!" as the rest of The Prophecy kneels before him.

We go back to Daniels who is in LA with his beautiful wife and children at his home and says that after twenty long years he really thought about giving it up, but his closest friends in the business got hold of him and started helping him work through his demons.

Low Ki and AJ Styles talk about how helping anyone is a challenge; but when it's someone that you've been up and down the road with, someone you've battled hundreds of times, and had a lifetime's worth of memories with, it's like their demons are being exorcised from your own body.

The Group, and the Rebirth.

Johnny Gargano is in a locker room talking about the Group vs. Prophecy feud, and says that he had to work really hard to convince Daniels to come back. We see highlights from the Kyle Matthews-Low Ki match from the August 25th episode of South Beach TV and pick it up after Matthews' victory.

Matthews: *points down to Low Ki who is lying in a heap outside the ring as The Group tries to get free from their handcuffs* DO YOU SEE THAT? THAT RIGHT THERE WAS THE NWA'S LAST GREAT HOPE! I HAVE FACED EVERY ONE OF THE NWA'S SO CALLED "BEST" AND DEFEATED THEM ALL. I BEAT CHRIS DICKINSON TWICE FOR THIS BELT, ALBERTO DEL GREEN CARD FOR IT AND NOW YOUR HERO LOW KI LAYS UNCONSCIOUS AT MY FEET. I HAVE BEEN THREATENING TO DO THIS FOR THE BETTER SHARE OF THIS YEAR, BUT NOW IS THE TIME. BY THE POWERS VESTED IN ME BY HOLDING THE NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP, I DECLARE THE NWA DEAD! NO ONE WILL SAVE THIS WRECKAGE OF AN ORGANIZATION NOW!

D'Angelo Dinero goes to grab a trash can from under the ring and he's holding lighter fluid and a box of matches. Matthews takes the NWA World Heavyweight Championship and throws it in the garbage can with a loud clang. Matthews pours the entire bottle of lighter fluid in the can and screams "SAY GOODBYE TO THE NWA" when a BRIGHT white light shines throughout the US Century Bank Arena!

Voice: You have spilled the blood of the purest one of all. The time is at hand. Anti Christ, it is time that you faced judgement for your sins as the righteous take their place at the throne.

The bright light starts slowly receding towards the center of the ring.....as something lowers from the rafters! The Prophecy turns to make a run for it but are stopped by The Group! THE GROUP GOT FREE? HOW?!? The platform lowers as the fans start cheering and whoever this is is dressed all in white with a hood on. The platform lowers to the center of the ring and Johnny Gargano steps to the figure who nods and flips off the hood.....IT'S CHRISTOPHER DANIELS! THE FALLEN ANGEL HAS RETURNED AND KYLE MATTHEWS LOOKS LIKE HE'S SEEN A GHOST! Daniels fixes Matthews with an icy glare and time seems to stop when Daniels attacks Matthews! The Group joins in and eventually Kyle Matthews and The Prophecy are cleared from the ring as the capacity crowd at the US Century Bank Arena is going absolutely ballistic! Daniels goes over to the trash can, removes the NWA World Heavyweight Title, and goes to the ropes glaring at Matthews who is backpedaling up the ramp. The latest episode of South Beach TV ends with Christopher Daniels holding the World Title in one hand, making the gospel gesture with the other, Low Ki looking up at Daniels in utter bewilderment and the crowd screaming their collective heads off.

We're back in Christopher's house and he's brought to tears talking about the fans welcoming him back with open arms. He says that he knew he was getting close to retirement but wanted one last chance to prove that he still had it.

The legendary Michael Buffer is in the ring to be our special guest ring announcer for the final match of the evening. "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels comes down first to a delirious crowd response. "The Anti-Christ" and NWA World Heavyweight Champion Kyle Matthews then comes down to a torrent of boos from the crowd.

Buffer: Ladies and Gentlemen it is time for our MAIN EVENT....OF THE EVENING. It is a Submission or Surrender match for the HEAVYWEIGHT..CHAMPIONSHIP....OF THE WORLD. Introducing first; the challenger, who must retire if he is unsuccessful this evening. He is a man that is seeking to complete a road to redemption that has lasted over half a year. He stands six feet one inches tall and weighs in tonight at two hundred twenty-five and one-quarter pound. From the City of Angels, Los Angeles, California he is "THE FALLEN ANGEL" CHRRRRRRRRRRRRRISTOPHERRRRRRRRRRRRRR DAAAAAAAAAAAAAANIELS!

The crowd explodes and chants "Fallen Angel" over and over again. The announcers wonder if the roof will crumble from the crowd's response.

Buffer: Now, his opponent. He is a man that has taken the NWA by storm and held onto his title jealously while defeating everyone in his path. He's here tonight to complete his mission of destroying the NWA and a man's career in the process. He stands five feet, nine inches tall and weighs in tonight at one hundred ninety-five and two-fifths pounds. Hailing from Marietta, Georgia he is the reigning.....and defending NWA HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD. HE is the anti-christ and leader of The Prophecy.....KYYYLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE MAAAAAAAAAAAAATHEWS!

Boos rain down hurricane force from the capacity crowd. This crowd has been electric all night and it looks like they've been saving their best for last.

Buffer: ARE YOU READY? WRESTLING FANS....ARE YOU RRRRRRRRRRRRRREADY? Then for the thousands in attendance, and the millions watching around the world. Ladies and Gentlemen...LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLETS GET RRRRREADY TO RUMBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE!

The capacity crowd of 12,417 loses its minds as senior official Nick Patrick holds the NWA World Heavyweight Championship aloft before presenting it to Daniels and then Matthews. Patrick hands the belt to the time keeper, calls for the bell and this one is underway!

Main Event: "The Anti-Christ" Kyle Matthews (c) vs. "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels (Submission or Surrender Match for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship from Fall Brawl 2013)
Daniels and Matthews circle each other for a bit before Daniels stops and holds out his hand looking for a code of honor of sorts. Matthews walks up to him and shakes his hand before saying "Prepare to die. Old Man." and slaps him across the face! Matthews then starts firing on Daniels like a man possessed with rights and lefts backing Daniels into a corner and unloading with a series of vicious knife-edge chops that echo throughout the arena. Matthews turns away after about five chops and shouts "THIS IS YOUR HERO!" before going back on the offensive with a forearm but Daniels blocks and puts Matthews into the corner and starts serving up plates of chops of his own to the delight of the crowd. Suddenly the crowd starts cheering and pointing to the entrance. The camera pans to the stage and Chris Dickinson from NWA Titans comes out! Action momentarily stops as Matthews stares at his long time adversary who doesn't go any farther than the bottom of the ramp, asks a production guy for a chair, and sits down to watch. Action resumes and the competitors fight back with a renewed vigor now that it seems they have an even bigger audience. Matthews starts to work on the arm with punches, kicks and variations on armbreakers. Daniels fires back with strikes of his own to the body trying to weaken the core of his opponent. As Daniels tries for the first submission hold of the match The Pistols from Hybrid Pro and led by Matt Taven come out. Daniels locks in a Camel Clutch but Matthews is laughing hysterically. He screams "is that all you got?" before standing up and falling back, breaking the hold. Matthews turns to the entrance way, and asks Matt Taven if he thinks he could do a better job before turning into a stiff right from Daniels. Daniels sends Matthews into the ropes and telegraphs a back body drop. Matthews stops and laughs before kicking Daniels in the face and hitting a suplex. Matthews goes out of the ring and holds looks under it, finding a table and a few chairs. As this is going on The Group and The Prophecy both come down, keeping a respectful distance from one another. Matthews throws the chairs in the ring, sets the table up on the outside and slides back into the ring where Daniels has gotten up and meets him with a scoop slam. Matthews gets back up and is sent back down with a series of clotheslines and finally a delayed vertical suplex and grabs the arm a bit. Daniels gets back up, brings Matthews over to the ropes and hooks him....what's he going to try? Daniels looks like he's going to try to front suplex the champ over the top rope through the table! Daniels tries to pick him up but the champ, sensing danger blocks. Daniels tries again but Matthews manages to block again so Daniels turns it into a ddt! The Fallen Angel goes to the top and points to the sky looking for a flying elbow and takes off but Matthews manages to grab one of the chairs he brought in earlier and hit Daniels! There's a sick crack at the impact of flesh, bone and steel as the NWA Mexico roster, led by it's champion , comes out to watch the match. Matthews thinks about signaling for the Hidaka Lock but chooses to pick a writhing Daniels up and put him in the corner. Matthews goes over and grabs a chair and puts it over his adversary's head and signals for the Slurpee Kick.....IT CONNECTS! HOLY SHIT!

Matthews takes Daniels, who is now bleeding from the impact of the chair, and says "Time to die old man"....before locking in the Hidaka Lock on that injured arm! Daniels is screaming in pain as the crowd is screaming itself hoarse for it's hero. Matthews is screaming "TAP OR I'LL BREAK IT OFF!" at Daniels repeatedly as Christopher desperately tries to make the ropes but the ref doesn't break the hold! THERE'S NO DQ! NO ROPE BREAKS! COULD THIS BE THE END? The entire South Beach locker room, led by Low Ki, now comes out as Daniels is maneuvering under the bottom rope. How is this going to help? Daniels slips out of the ring and manages to catch Matthews' throat on the bottom rope! Daniels is standing as he chokes the life out of Matthews who refuses to break the hold! Matthews is purple! Daniels is screaming in pain! The ref is checking Daniels for submission or surrender when the Hidaka Lock breaks! Matthews has been choked out by the bottom rope! The crowd is trying to channel it's collective energy into Daniels who is trying to shake some feeling into his arm. While both competitors are recovering Cody Rhodes leads the entire CPW roster out to the entrance way and Kana starts to lead JPP's roster out. Daniels pulls Matthews out and signals for Last Rites on the floor but Matthews counters into a swinging neckbreaker! The world champ groggily gets to his feet and drags his foe to his feet before rolling him in the ring. Matthews sets Daniels up on the top turnbuckle near the table and says he's going to super plex Daniels through the table! Daniels gets hooked but blocks and starts fighting for all he's worth. Daniels manages to stun Matthews and looks at the table before holding his hands in front of him in prayer....what in God's name is he thinking about doing? Daniels hooks both of the champs arms and jumps off the top rope......ANGEL'S WINGS THROUGH THE TABLE! ANGEL'S WINGS THROUGH THE TABLE! SON OF A BITCH! Daniels just sent the world champ straight to hell! The crowd is screaming "HOLY SHIT" at the top of their lungs as both men are motionless on the floor. The NWA Titans and Hybrid Pro rosters come out to the stage as the ref is checking to see whether either man is conscious. Kyle stirs and he's got a laceration across his forehead from the table. Daniels is moving around slowly and eventually both men roll in the ring, both faces wearing the crimson mask. Champion and Challenger struggle to their feet as the crowd starts chanting "THIS IS AWESOME!" repeatedly. They start trading bombs right in the middle of the ring with the crowd chanting "BOO" and "YAY" depending on who is throwing the punch. These men are clawing at one another to keep each other up and it's clear that they are leaving it all on the line. Matthews pushes off and lands a right with everything that he can muster. Daniels tries to answer back but Matthews looks like he ducks although he might have been trying to get his bearings. Either way Daniels misses and Matthews grabs Daniels around the waist and tries for a german suplex, but Daniels flips out! Christopher spins Kyle around...Reverse STO! That's nice but where does he go from here? Daniels smiles and locks in the Koji Clutch! DANIELS HAS THE CHAMP TRAPPED IN THE KOJI CLUTCH IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING! THE ANTI-CHRIST IS STRUGGLING! WILL HE TAP? WILL HE TAP? The crowd is delirious screaming for Kyle to tap. Both men look ready to pass out! Kyle is clawing.....AND HE TAPS! HE TAPS! KYLE MATTHEWS HAS TAPPED!

Really enjoyed this compliation, and to me shows just how consistently awesome South Beach has been from the very beginning, and indeed how consistently key a part Christopher Daniels has played in the South Beach story. So yeah, a very enjoyable read this on how Daniels rose to once again become NWA World champion.
