So things went a bit insane on this show, there's a lot of reveals, debut and even a return or two, but hey, its christmas and the last Hybrid Pro show of the year so why not.
NWA Hybrid Pro TV 20/12/2013[/u]
Once again the show begins with NWA Hybrid Pro owner Magnus D in his office, facing the camera with all three of his security force surrounding him.
Magnus: "OK Paul London, I'll give you some credit, I didn't expect you to pull off what you did last week and one up my security force, who week by week are proving themselves to be more liabilities than the insurance policy they were meant to be. But tonight they have the chance to redeem themselves. Security guards #1 and #2 will be in a tag team match with you Paul London along with your partner Daniel Bryan. Meanwhile the main event title match between Christopher Daniels and Brian Kendrick will have a very special referee: Security Guard #3! And to up the stakes in both matches, if London, Bryan or Kendrick win their respective matches, the losing guards will have to unmask!
I also want to announce that whil there will be no show next week, there will be an iPPV 2 weeks from now with some major matchups, some of which will be announced on this very show. The full lineup will be revealed in the next few days"
Wow, thats big news right there, we could find out who all three men are tonight and the matchups on our upcoming iPPV. Thats all Magnus has to say it seems as we head to the ring for our first match
Hybrid Pro Tag Team Title Match
The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) vs Hunico and Camacho
An opportunity for 2 more competitors to get a shot at The Young Bucks, who continue to defend the belts against any and all comers from around the world. Hunico was able to match the Bucks in terms of high flying, while Camacho had a bit of power on his side that helped him dominate in there. The Bucks had to rely on their crisp double team moves and speed to stay in this one, something that stood them in good stead and brought them closer and closer to victory. And when they nailed More Bang For Your Buck on Hunico, that was it for their opponents and they retained the titles.
Winners- The Young Bucks
The Bucks posed with the belts as Matt took the mic.
Matt: It looks like nobody can beat us, we are an unstoppable force in tag team wrestling. All the other teams have folded, and nobody answered our open challenge in the NWA.
Nick: You may as well just hand over the World Tag Team Titles as well, we are the best team in the NWA!
They are then interrupted by none other than The Usos, Jimmy and Jey. They motion that they want those belts, and it looks like The Young Bucks have some fresh competition! I expect we will see this matchup on iPPV!
Samoa Joe heads for the ring, as he has a match coming up against a local competitor. That is until MARK HENRY ATTACKS HIM FROM BEHIND! He lifts Joe up, WORLDS STRONGEST SLAM ON THE RAMP! Henry grabs a mic.
Henry: You think you can just forget me huh? I heard what you said Joe, calling me the weak link in the Faces of Fear, saying you were above our team and that you should be NWA World Champion. Well here's the deal Joe, I'm gonna be the next NWA Champion, and I'm gonna kick your ass to prove it!
Henry leaves as we pan out to Magnus watching on the monitor. He's hears saying "interesting, very interesting" to one o his guards. What does this mean I wonder? Could we see these two face off on iPPV?
Before the next matchup it is announced that Vordell Walker and Kyle Matthews will settle their rivalry on iPPV 2 weeks from now in a submission match!
Grudge Match
Vordell Walker vs Jack Swagger
Swagger has a chance to soften up Walker for Kyle Matthews, with Walker facing Matthews 2 weeks from now in a submission match: the only way to win will be for someone to tap out. Matthews was notably absent from ringside, with Swagger opting to go it alone, taking the match to Walker with his power. Walker's best chance was to throw some of those brutal punches, as on the mat Swagger was a match for him and he couldn't match him the power department, and that strategy seemed to work well, Swagger was dazed by those punches of Walker. Walker also displayed something that we rarely see from him these days: high flying, he took some risks to try and get the reward of a win to aid his momentum. And when Swagger went for a Doctor Bomb, Walker responded with a Hurricanrana, which he followed with a 450 Splash and a Juji-Gatame. Swagger held on and tried to use his power to escape, but he couldn't, he was forced to tap as Walker gets another big win.
Winner- Vordell Walker
Post match as Walker celebrated, KYLE MATTHEWS ATTACKS FROM BEHIND! he brutalises Walker with his signature steel chair as Swagger joins in the beating. Matthews locks in the Juji-Gatame as Swagger holds a microphone up to Matthews.
Matthews: This is a message to you Alberto Del Rio. You want to fight me, fight me at Starrcade. This is your future, your career over at the hands of the most Hybrid Athlete in NWA history!
Matthews releases the hold and poses with one foot on Walker as the fans book, The Hybrid Athletes continue to cause mayhem in their battle against Vordell Walker and Alberto Del Rio!
NWA Hybrid Pro Heavyweight Title Match
Sami Zayn vs Homicide
Homicide was given a big opportunity to get back into Hybrid Pro in this matchup for the title, as Zayn looks to defend against all comers. Homicide was a tough and experienced challenger, who can wrestle almost all styles, and Zayn had to use his aerial manoeuvres rather than get into a fight or wrestling match with him. The crowd were solidly behind Homicide as well which didn't help Zayn's cause, but he rallied and ensured that Homicide wouldn't get a win in a place where he is really beloved. One Springboard Tornado DDT later and Zayn picked up the win to retain his title.
Winner- Sami Zayn
Zayn celebrated post match, BUT OSCAR RUBIO ATTACKS FROM BEHIND! The unmasked Rey Mysterio, who has been retired for several months has returned and seems to hold a grudge against Zayn. Rubio takes the mic.
Rubio: Hey, your not the only luchador who can unmask, I did it first and I'm better than you'll ever be. You want to prove that your the best, then put your belt up against me, a real champion and a real high flier.
Rubio has called Zayn out, will Zayn be able to defeat the veteran or will Rubio be adding the Hybrid Pro Heavyweight Title to his long list of accomplishments?
Paul London, Daniel Bryan and Brian Kendrick are backstage-
London: My road to Starrcade begins tonight, and I know its not going to be easy. Thats why I've got the help of my friends Daniel Bryan and Brian Kendrick. Together we are The Texus, and we are going to destroy your security force Magnus. And when I do, there will be nothing stopping me getting my hands on you. You won't ruin my one shot at glory, my one main event World Heavyweight Title, the one thing I've spent 13 years of my life fighting for. Christopher Daniels, I promise that we will have a title match worthy of Starrcade and worthy for a retirement match, when I overcome this last obstacle then we will have a match for the ages!
Tag Team Grudge Match
The Texus (Paul London and Daniel Bryan) vs The Elite Security Force (Security Guard #1 and #2)
London and Bryan have never teamed before, but despite that the two gelled well as a team here, with the many years that they have known each other helping them to communicate well and produce some quality double teams. The guards on the other hand had one approach and that was to try and hurt London and Bryan, using their power and strength, plus any rules that they could break along the way. London and Bryan looked like they were about ready to pick the win up here, when the security force grabbed some chairs and caved in the skulls of London and Bryan for the DQ.
Winners- Paul London and Daniel Bryan by DQ
The guards continue to beat the hell out of London and Bryan with the chairs, but surely this means they have to unmask so I don't understand this, unless they don't card and are merely following orders. The guards then unmask to reveal....CHRIS MASTERS AND LUKE GALLOWS! Thats quite a strong choice for guards it has to be said, both are strong wrestlers and will be a match for anybody that gets in their way. Bad news for anyone who opposes Magnus.
Twelve Man Tag Team Match
The Revolution (Johnny Gargano, Kyle O'Reilly, Chuck Taylor, Brian Cage, Drew Gulak and Jimmy Jacobs) vs The Pistols (Matt Taven, Sami Callihan, Mike Bennett, Tommaso Ciampa, Samuray Del Sol and Tony Nese)
Obviously this one was utterly manic and chaotic, if only because of the sheer number of people in this matchup. Yet for as long as the match lasted, we got a little bit of everything. You had Del Sol taking big risks, the likes of O'Reilly and Gargano mixing it up on the mat with Taven and Nese, great tag team wrestling involving Bennett and Ciampa and all out brawling between Callihan and Gulak. The match got out of control fast, and when Jacobs pulled out a spike and Callihan started rooting around for weapons, the referee had no choice but to call this one a no contest.
Winners- No Contest
Post match it was announced as the brawl struggled to be contained that 2 weeks from now on iPPV, there will be six singles matches between the various members of The Revolution and The Pistols. The matches were confirmed as follows-
Lots of potentially awesome matches there, and potentially a way to decide if The Revolution or The Pistols are better!
NWA World Heavyweight Title Match, Special Guest Referee Security Guard #3
Christopher Daniels vs Brian Kendrick
Kendrick has gone from midcard hell to a main event NWA World Heavyweight Title match in the space of 1 week, all thanks to Magnus's security botching up a 3 on 1 handicap match last week. Kendrick was up for this matchup, and Daniels did not have this easy at all, it was an even matchup throughout mixing crisp mat wrestling with some high risk top rope moves. The presence of Security Guard #3 was uncomfortable for both men as this guard definitely has a sinister presence to him that Masters and Gallows don't have, and he played a big part in the ending of this matchup. Kendrick went for Sliced Bread, but it was countered by Daniels who went for the Angels Wings, which was again countered. The guard stepped in, grabbed both men and dropped them with a Double Chokeslam, put Daniels on top of Kendrick and counted the 3 count. Daniels retains in strange circumstances.
Winner- Christopher Daniels
Magnus D is wheeled out applauding alongside Luke Gallows and Chris Masters, he is helped into the ring.
Magnus: Yes, that is how you do it ladies and gentlemen. Paul London I hope your watching this. Maybe Christopher Daniels was stupid enough to give you a title match, but you are sure as hell not making it to Starrcade, especially not against my ultimate threat who you will be wrestling one on one two weeks from now. Will you please take off your mask and reveal to the fans who you really are!
Security Guard #3 takes off his mask slowly, revealing.....CIBERNETICO! The fans don't like this at all as Magnus laughs and shakes hands with Cibernetico.
Of course it was Cibernetico. This is a man who I have always seen as a big star here in the NWA, yet nobody else has given him the light of day. He is a true force to be reckoned with, and London your days are numbered."
The show ends with Cibernetico basking in the green spotlight, as Magnus and the security force raise their arms and the fans boo. See you two weeks from now everybody, Happy Christmas!
