Tag Team Match
Beth Phoenix & Jackie Gayda -vs- Sexy Purple Thunder Sisters
This match went back and forth, but got out of control VERY fast! the CPW team basically came out looking to gloat about their series win from a few days earlier, but when they realized that they were getting out wrestled, they tried to cheat. Unfortunately, the Sexy Purple Thunder Sisters capitalized on the fact both Beth and Jackie wanted to be the 'Team Leader'. They were able to draw Beth from the ring and isolate Jackie. In the end, Jackie ended up eating another Thunder Fire Power Bomb.
Result: Sexy Purple Thunder Sisters defeated Beth Phoenix and Jackie Gayda when Mio Shirai pinned Gayda with the Thunder Fire Power Bomb in 08:43.
One on One Match
Danny Basham -vs- Dolph Ziggler
Both men were signed recently and while Dolph has 'been on TV' recently, this was his first match since leaving NWA Mid-Western Wrestling. Dolph came out to Ric Flair's music, and the same strut. He took the mic and said that he is the 'Modern Day Nature boy' of CPW and the NWA!
As the action got under way, it was clear that Danny was out matched. Danny tried, but was unable to out wrestle, over power and out cheat Ziggler. In the end, it was Dolph who stood tall and flashed the four finger salute!
Result: Dolph Ziggler pinned Danny Basham with the Zig Zag in 05:31.
CPW Women's Title Match
Yuzuki Aikawa -vs- Victoria(c)
Victoria came out and taunted the young Aikawa. While Aikawa got a few moves in it was really a one sided match. The fans wanted a fast paced match, but the champ kept it slow and brutalized Aikawa. She hit here Widows Peak outside the ring, and then as the ref counted, she slayed across the top rope counting along, mocking her opponent.
Result: Victoria defeated Yuzuki Aikawa by count out in 03:03 to retain the CPW Women's Title.
6 Man Tag Team Match
LAX & Kofi Kingston -vs- Abyss, Christopher Daniels & Evan Sydal
Before the match started, Evan came out with the mic in hand and said yes... it was true! There are 4 members and the fourth was here.... in the building.. Out walked Dolph Ziggler! The four men stood in the ring, an ominous collection of skill and brute force!
The match was very brutal and action packed. Every one had a chance at seeing ring time and in the end the action was WAY out of control! As the ref was trying to get control, Abyss blasted Kingston with a road sigh that he had stashed under the ring.
Result: Abyss, Christopher Daniels and Evan Sydal defeated LAX (Anarquia and Hernandez) and Kofi Kingston when Abyss pinned Kofi Kingston after hitting him with a road sign in 22:33.
One on One Match
Christian -vs- Alex Riley
Both men were looking to get on a wining track. This was a fast match, with both men working as it it was their last. In the end it looked like Christian was injured, and as Alex came to check on him, Christian leveled him with a low blow and then then Impaler DDT. Christian then just walked to the back, with a look of disgust plastered across his face as the ref counted him out, and awarded the match to the unconscious Alex Riley.
Result: Alex Riley defeated Christian by count out in 01:36.
CPW Heavyweight Title Match
Jim Powers -vs- Alberto Del Rio (c)
Prior to this match, ADR came out and said that he was a fighting champion. He was not afraid of Samoa Joe, and to show it, he was going to defend the title.... TONIGHT, against the 'hottest prospect on the independent circuit today'.... Jim Powers!
This of course was just a rouse, as Jim Power was a local guy recently hired by CPW as a 'Talent Enhancing Performer'. It was a one sided match... All Alberto. It was set up to show Joe, or scare him' that ADR was no push over int he ring.
Result: Alberto Del Rio pinned Jim Powers after a flying cross body press in 05:15 to retain the CPW Heavyweight Title.
After the match, ADR took the mic and told Joe that he had hurt Randy Orton two weeks in a row, then took the CPW title. At Wrestling Classic, he would dominate Joe!!
