David Bradshaw and Darren Burridge were excited about tonights match, leading up to Starrcade. This has been a real revival in British wrestling with the UK Crown being defended on the biggest show the NWA has to offer with Johnny Moss taking on the current champion Adrian McCallum! Burridge would get a bit serious a moment and talk about how tonight in the main event he'd step back into the ring to face the United Kingdom, "The Pukka" felt great that he'd be teaming with not only Lionheart but the NWA UK TV champion Doug Williams! The Rockstars will be facing off against Jeri-Hill at Starrcade to defend the titles, and the announce team were excited that Burchill could finally be coming to NWA UK if he wins the tag titles from the dirty yanks! There is also a triple threat match at Starrcade that will make the winner a triple crown champion, and it features our own Prince Devitt! Daniel Bryan and AJ Styles will both put their respective titles on the line as will Devitt with the winner leaving the event with all three titles! Up next however Devitt will defend not only his X championship but also his spot in the Starrcade match as he faces off against El Ligero! Let's head to the ring for that one...
NWA UK X TITLE BOUT
El Ligero vs. Prince Devitt(c) w/ The Embassy
El Ligero vs. Prince Devitt(c) w/ The Embassy
The crowd gave a huge pop for Ligero as he tried to wrestle the X title from Devitt, and had the potential to be a shocker replacement in the huge Starrcade triple threat match. Devitt was a bit irritated by the loudness of the fans in attendance, using a brutal offense keeping the popular high flyer grounded with a sharp knee to the gut before snapping off a stinging suplex. Devitt made quick work quieting the crowd as he battered Ligero in this opening contest. Ligero tried to make a desperation hope spot but Devitt was able to create enough separation to blast Ligero with a backflip kick to the head! Prince Nana was so excited as he cheered on Devitt, who looked to hit the Princes Throne but Ligero would fight free hitting a leaping enziguri that would drop the X champion to his knees! Ligero would rally the crowd as he came off the ropes with a dropkick putting the champ on the mat! El Ligero had the pace changed up and in his favor as he came off the ropes with a flip senton before rushing to the ropes to hit a springboard moonsault but Mastiff would yank the boot of Ligero as he went for the hop and Ligero took a pretty brutal looking fall. Devitt would pick up his challenger spiking him with the bloody sunday to put away another challenger on his road to becoming a potential triple crown champion!
SINGLES BOUT
"The Sinister Superstar" Kenneth Cameron vs. Mark Haskins
"The Sinister Superstar" Kenneth Cameron vs. Mark Haskins
Cameron made his debut in this match coming off a bit odd as he slid into the ring opposite NWA UK staple, Mark Haskins. The match was pretty evenly matched with Cameron matching the quickness of Haskins but using a very unorthodox style, battering Haskins with windmill style punches bringing Mark to his knees before nailing him with a huge knee to the temple! Cameron almost got DQ'd by choking Haskins right in front of the ref! Cameron would stalk around the ring annoyed by the ref and ended up getting caught with a desperate ace cutter from Haskins, before he drug himself up the ropes looking for a shooting star press, but Cameron would rush up the ropes using a superplex to leave both men worn out in the middle of the ring! Cameron would be up first using his new finishing move "Embrace the Darkness" (A full nelson lift into a knee to the back of the head) to put Haskins out for the three count.
FOUR WAY BOUT
Robbie X vs. CJ Banks w/ Dave Mastiff vs. Jack Gallagher vs. Kenny Omega
Robbie X vs. CJ Banks w/ Dave Mastiff vs. Jack Gallagher vs. Kenny Omega
Just like in the last match we had a debut as Robbie X stepped into the ring with three talented stars here in NWA UK! The first man out was Jack Gallagher at the hands of a Croyts Wrath from Omega after Banks blasted him with a running double knee! Robbie X looked a bit intimidated as the match came down to three. Mastiff was a constant threat, since he helped Devitt in the opening contest and with more people it's more chances for Mastiff to get away with interfering. Omega would try for a hadouken but came up inches short as Banks put on the breaks but Robbie X would hit a dropkick to the back of Banks allowing for Omega to snap off an exploder suplex sending Banks scurrying out of the ring to Mastiff. Omega tried to rush Robbie and ended up side stepping sending Kenny diving out of the ring knocking down Mastiff and Banks! Robbie X got a chance to shine being the only man in the ring, as he waited for everyone to reset as he came off the ropes with a tope con hilo! Robbie X got to celebrate for a moment at his big moment until Mastiff got up intimidating X, allowing for Banks to blindside him with a european uppercut before throwing him back into the ring looking to score with another running double knee. Omega tried to sneak in the ring going for a release german suplex but Banks would land on his feet coming back with a running double knee to pin Omega! Robbie X was standing across the ring from Banks and they'd size each other up before locking up and exchanging holds but Banks would come out on top locking the new comer in a cloverleaf and after Robbie tried to fight he eventually had to give in and tap out! Banks would throw down the legs of Robbie as he signalled for the Embassy!
SINGLES BOUT
"The Football Hooligan" Danny Burch vs. Magnus
"The Football Hooligan" Danny Burch vs. Magnus
Magnus would come to the ring in a suit, taking off his tie and dress shirt in his corner as Burch would come through the rowdy crowd looking to capitalize on Magnus being distracted but Magnus would sidestep slamming Burch into the corner hitting the Hooligan with boots in the corner. Burch is a fighter and would throw kicks and chops to get himself out of the corner but Magnus would cut him off with a knee to the gut before knocking him on his back with a vicious european uppercut that Magnus had to shake the sting out of his arm after! Magnus would start stomping away at the head of the Hooligan before picking him up and curb stomping him in the middle of the ring! Magnus would calmly pick up his tie using it to choke away at Burch as the ref tried to get Magnus to stop eventually throwing the match out as security had to be summoned to pull Magnus off! EMT's attended to Burch as Magnus would calmly put his dress shirt and tie back on before exiting the ring.
The next match was originally supposed to be TMDK taking on the Forever Hooligans but instead the Rockstars would make their way out to the ramp. Morrison and Rave haven't forgotten the Hooligans trying to make a name for themselves by attacking the tag champs. TMDK won't be making it to the match, the champions point to the big screen where TMDK are in a heap in their locker room with things broken around them. The Hooligans would smirk and admire the Rockstars work but demanded that if the champs wanted a match they'd have to put the belts on the line. The Rockstars are cocky and it could be their undoing as they agreed heading to the ring to get revenge on the Hooligans...
NWA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE BOUT
The Forever Hooligans(Rocky Romero & Alex Koslov) vs. The Rockstars of Wrestling(c)(John Morrison & Jimmy Rave) w/ Lena Yada & Rockstar Spud
The Forever Hooligans(Rocky Romero & Alex Koslov) vs. The Rockstars of Wrestling(c)(John Morrison & Jimmy Rave) w/ Lena Yada & Rockstar Spud
This was a match that both men wanted, after the Hooligans blindsided the champs a few weeks back in their debut! The Rockstars have wanted to get revenge since that day but really didn't want to put the titles on the line so close to Starrcade. The match was very back and forth with both teams getting in their favorite spots with the Hooligans getting upset with each other before hugging it out in the middle of the ring! The crowd had a bit of a laugh but the Rockstars tried to capitalize but the Hooligans would slam the tag champs into each other with Alex Koslov putting on his hat, giving koscheck kicks to the skulls of both champs! Rockstar Spud was freaking out flipping through his ipad shouting out moves that could chance the tempo of the match as Lena Yada would shove Spud away getting on the apron to show off her "assets" distracting Romero. Rave would snap off a superkick to the back of Romero's head dropping him like a sack! Morrison would get the best of Koslov and grab the Russian Hooligan for a C4? Morrison would flip off the camera before nailing the C4 before Rave would slide in locking on the walls of Jericho wrenching back forcing Koslov to submit. This was an obvious message to their opponents at Starrcade!
SIX MAN TAG TEAM BOUT
The United Kingdom (Johnny Moss, Iestyn Reese & Joel Redman) w/ Dean Ayass and Hade Vansen vs. Adrian "Lionheart" McCallum, Doug Williams & Darren Burridge
The United Kingdom (Johnny Moss, Iestyn Reese & Joel Redman) w/ Dean Ayass and Hade Vansen vs. Adrian "Lionheart" McCallum, Doug Williams & Darren Burridge
Burridge got a great pop from the crowd as he left the commentary table to join the UK champion as well as the NWA UK TV champion in a fight against the United Kingdom! This coming sunday at Starrcade Lionheart will defend his championship against Johnny Moss! McCallum was the last out and he got the biggest pop of the night as he held up his crown for the people! This match had to have two refs as it went to hell pretty fast with both teams flooding the ring. Lionheart would rock bottom Redman in the middle of the ring and Burridge would come off the ropes throwing a pinky in the air before dropping to his knees over Redman's face giving him a tea bag! It didn't hurt but it sure pissed off Redman who wiped his face as he slid out of the ring! Rees would catch a spear on Lionheart but was immediatly double teamed with european uppercuts from Burridge and Williams before being tossed out of the ring onto Redman! Moss was about to sneak up on Williams but put on the breaks once they threw out both of Moss's partners. Moss was the victim of a double team from Williams and Burridge before being tossed out onto Rees and Redman as the crowd cheered wildly! The heroes looked pretty happy with Lionheart climbing to the top hitting the United Kingdom with a frog splash on the outside toppling the entire Kingdom as Williams and Burridge climb out of the ring continuing the fight on the outside. The match eventually gets back into the ring as the Kingdom start to rally back but it wasn't enough for Dean Ayass who waves towards the back calling someone out. Magnus would come back out in his suit weilding a cricket bat as he gets into the ring assaulting Williams with the bat! The ref tries to throw the match out but Rees would drop him with a huge powerbomb! The other ref was intimidated into letting the match continue as the Kingdom picked apart Burridge with Lionheart fighting wildly to change the tide but the numbers came into play and Burridge got leveled with a spear from Rees! Lionheart would fight hard throwing Rees out of the ring but Redman and Moss were all over him! Moss would pick up and spike the king with a tombstone as Vansen forced the scared ref to count the three. Moss may have cheated to win but Lionheart took a horrible beating during the match.
The show would end with Ayass handing over a wad of over 600 Pounds to Magnus who would stuff it into his inner jacket pocket before shaking hands with the Twisted Genius!
