NWA UK Riot 4/2/14 Show!

"Hail to the King" by Avenged Sevenfold blares over the in house speakers as the NEW NWA UK champion, Johnny Moss makes his way to the ring. Moss is sporting the crown, but it's obviously a darker version, literally as well as sporting thorns as well. Johnny get's on the mic as he paces the ring a bit.

Johnny Moss: All hail the new king of the NWA! I beat Lionheart like a proper bitch at Starrcade, and just like I expected he didn't stand a chance when the match was even...

Darren Burridge would flip out on commentary pointing out the hellish beating Lionheart suffered at the hands of "The Hitman" Magnus before the match began! The crowd would also voice their opinion as a chorus of boo's towards the champion.

Moss: I've obviously beaten the best that british wrestling has to offer, and yet recently the entrants from NWA UK for the NWA wide Tournament for the Title were released and my name wasn't on the list. It's a bloody outrage and I demand an explanation!

"F*cking in the Bushes" by Oasis hits as the PM of NWA UK, Nigel McGuinness makes his way out with a microphone in hand, getting in the ring with Moss.

Nigel: Do you really believe your own bull****? The reason why Magnus is an entrant and not you is because he very damn well won the championship for you!

The new NWA UK champion burns bright red in anger, but before Moss can counter Lionheart comes onto the scene clutching his heavily taped ribs.

Lionheart: Nigel, forget that wanker in the ring. We both know he's s***, how about me? Why was I left out?

Nigel: Adrian, I've got a lot of respect for you. You've really lived up to the moniker of Lionheart, but unfortunately you're way to hurt and for your own good I've had to make the tough call to leave you out of the tournament. You won't be healthy in time, BUT you will be healthy in time for Uncivil War. Adrian I know you want Moss in the ring, so I've decided that you both will be captains in the War Games match!

Moss: But I...

Nigel: Nobody gives a damn!

Moss fumes in the ring as Nigel exits the ring, Burridge and Bradshaw put over the news about the War Games match and start questioning who will join McCallum as he takes on what will surely be the United Kingdom!

SINGLES BOUT
Noam Dar vs. Rampage Brown w/ Kenneth Cameron

Rampage had a different demeanor about him as he was seconded by the Sinister Kenneth Cameron. Dar tried to use his speed but was caught and planted with an Arn Anderson style spinebuster for a surprisingly short bout. After the match Cameron would pick up and drop Dar with Embrace the Darkness! Brown and Cameron would stand over the knocked out Dar showing the solidarity of the newly forged tag team!

SINGLES BOUT
Tommy End vs. Owen Pheonix

This was the NWA UK debut of Tommy End as he faced off against a future star in Owen Pheonix. End would evade a tie up by Owen before lighting him up with kicks to the chest, starting to redden his chest almost immediately before hitting a roundhouse kick dropping the young Pheonix. Owen obviously hadn't done his homework on End but would psych himself up before blasting Tommy with a series of kicks of his own! Pheonix would hit a leaping back heel kick dropping End, changing the momentum of the match. Owen would pick up a near fall with a magistral style roll up, which led into a chain wrestling spot between both men. Tommy would catch Owen with an Ace cutter which he'd transition into a modified dragon sleeper he's dubbed the Dragon Slayer forcing Owen to submit after a solid contest and debut for Tommy End.

TAG TEAM BOUT
The Welsh Warriors(Rob Terry & Mason Ryan) vs. TMDK(Mikey Nicholls & Shane Haste) w/ Bobby Jo Marshall

The Warriors blame TMDK for their loss at Starrcade, due to tieing them up long enough for The New School to come away the victors. An angry pair of Warriors are a terrifying thing but TMDK would try to cut Rob Terry apart with their strong style offense! The Warriors are just too powerful and Mikey got drilled into the mat with the double team spinebusters as the Warriors continue to dominate in the NWA.

SINGLES BOUT
Prince Devitt vs. "The Star Attraction" Mark Haskins

Devitt still looked extremely sour after losing his NWA UK X title at Starrcade to Daniel Bryan. Devitt would try to take his frustrations out on Haskins battering the Star Attraction during the majority of this match. Mark would have some flashes of brilliance but Devitt is just so dangerous, and his rage only fueled his ruthless nature. Devitt would signal for the end only for the big screen to flicker to life. NWA South Beach's PAC would appear as he pointed out that Devitt came up short at Starrcade! This distracted Devitt long enough for Haskins to regain his composure and Devitt would turn around into a superkick from Haskins costing him the match!


Haskins would slide out of the ring in a hurry as Devitt would come around glaring at the laughing image of PAC, who would suddenly get very serious.

PAC: If you think your living a nightmare now mate, soon things will get very REAL!

NWA UK TV TITLE #1 CONTENDERS BOUT
CJ Banks w/ Dave Mastiff vs. El Ligero vs. Drew McIntyre

This was an action packed match with three very popular and talented men involved. McIntyre and Banks would work holds in the middle of the ring going counter for counter as Ligero worked the crowd with a bit of comedy. This was until Banks and McIntyre realized Ligero was making a mockery of the match and decided to try to double team the luchadore, only to be ducked as Ligero scored with a double dropkick sending both men out of the ring! Ligero would take to the skies with a tope con hilo flooring everyone before embracing the fans nearby. Mastiff tried to get involved but the ref was there to keep Ligero safe, even as Ligero tried to bait in Mastiff with some shadow boxing. The match eventually got back into the ring, but the ref would get sandwiched in the corner as McIntyre cinched up Ligero for the Futureshock DDT. Mastiff would blindside McIntyre with a violent lariat as Banks blasted Ligero with the running double knee, when the dust settled the ref made the weak three count giving Banks the opportunity to face off against Doug Williams for the TV title!


Danny Burch really wanted to get his hands on Magnus, there are a lot of people in NWA UK that can make that claim. Burch was so willing that he agreed to a tag team match against Magnus and a mystery partner. Doug Williams was more than happy to volunteer to hand an ass beating to the hitman of NWA UK. Dean Ayass who's the primary client of Magnus would come out and announce The Hitman's tag team partner. Ayass would brag that his accountant is as dangerous as he is cunning, he's the best Switzerland has to offer... he is Antonio Cesaro! Antonio would come out with a steel briefcase in hand while Magnus would come out with his cricket bat, this was going to be a fight!

TAG TEAM BOUT
"The Football Hooligan" Danny Burch & "The Anarchist" Doug Williams vs. Magnus & Antonio Cesaro w/ Dean Ayass

The announce team were stunned at the Swiss powerhouse who got to show off as he went toe to toe with the NWA UK television champion. The addition of Cesaro to the United Kingdom is a powerful one as he man handled "The Football Hooligan" sending him sailing with the UFO before tagging in the most hated man in NWA UK. Magnus has become a master at inflicting pain putting a chinlock on Burch but driving his elbow into his face for added punishment. Doug would beg for a tag but Magnus and Cesaro would cut off the ring keeping Burch in danger with quick tags working in sync with Dean Ayass directing his team. Burch would start to fight back but with the refs attention diverted Ayass would grab his ankle allowing for Magnus to regain his dominance. Ayass would try to slide the bat to Magnus which drew out Lionheart who headed to the ring as the ref tried to wrestle the bat from Magnus, only to be kicked away by the Hitman! Before Magnus had a chance to use the weapon he was nearly ripped in half by a spear from the former NWA UK champion! The crowd was electric as Lionheart, Burch and Williams would fight against Magnus and Cesaro. The rest of the United Kingdom would come down to the ring creating a 5 on 3 advantage as Ayass would laugh wickedly. The show ended with the United Kingdom standing tall in the ring!

Sorry for the lateness of my comment. Anyways another solid show here, Brown looked dominant in the opening match, as his team with Cameron is going to be interesting (I just wish it wasn't at Noam Dar's expense, guy is a top notch talent). End looked great in his debut, he's another quality wrestler and could do well in NWA Uk. The Warriors do indeed continue to dominate, they are future Tag champs here in the NWA imo, and could be a serious threat to The Rockstars. Devitt/Haskins was a great match, and PAC's involvement intrigues me. Banks winning the title shot surprises me in a way, but I think its an interesting move, even if I'd have liked to see McIntyre get a shot . The tag main event was good, and The United Kingdom continue to look a dominant force.

Surprising and, I think, very cool that Rampage beat the up and comer Dar right out of the gate. Tommy End looked really fantastic, and he's one I'll be keeping an eye on. Loved the PAC video package interference spot there, as that was a great way to build to a match I'm not looking forward to between he and Devitt while putting over the deserving Haskins. CJ Banks has to be the most satisfying of the pushes going on here for me, as I just really like this guy and the way you've turned him into a real bad ass in your promotion. The United Kingdom put a damper on a really good tag match there, but that was to be expected.

Good show I do not know a lot British wrestling,but I enjoyed the matches. I love that Doug Williams still has a big place in the Nwa.

Likewise not familiar with some talent here, but in addition to the more mainstream names in U.S. wrestling, I'm familiar with TMDK enough that the match with The Welsh Warrios caught my attention. The Warriors have been mowing through the competition and are among the best booked teams here right now. Strong main event and Cesaro fits in well with the talent you have here.
