SHOW NOTES
[Round 1] #1 Contenders Tournament : Ken Anderson & Rhino -vs- The Untouchables
This match was as brutal as thier last meeting, and with a title shot on the line, it was an all out war between two of the biggest and baddest teams in CPW. It was back and forth, back and forth. In the end, it was wthe shear power of The Untouchables that was able to secure the win.
[Round 1] #1 Contenders Tournament :Antonio Banks & Kofi Kingston -vs- The Impact Players
Kofi and Banks didn't last long either in the tournament nor as a team as Kofi seams to have snapped. He went all 'psycho' near the end of the match, and laid out everyone in the match with the ring bell. He took the mic and told the fans and his 'partner' that he was done.. done being "Mr. Nice Guy"! Don being the one that has the potential and never living up to it. He said he was nw looking out for number one, and looking to show that HE is the true King of the Ring! King of CPW!! KING OF THE FREAKIN' NWA!!!
[Round 1] #1 Contenders Tournament :Team Awesome! -vs- Rey Escorpion & Dragon Rojo Jr.
A good back and forth match. Miz and Knox still have had their 'issues' stemming from the CPW T.V Title, but all in all they worked good together, until the end, when Miz was berating his partner. Knox had enough and decked Miz, allowing the former tag champs the opportunity to get the win when Mike took a seat at ringside to let Miz "Do it all himself"!
[Round 1] #1 Contenders Tournament :The Show Stoppers -vs- Team 3G
The Show Stoppers were looking to get back into the swing of things, and tonight they wanted to prove they were worthy of the title shot. Team 3G wanted to prove they could be a contender. The match saw the meshing of four styles into one good match. In the end, 3G was able to pull off the win.
[Semi-Finals]: #1 Contenders Tournament : The Impact Players -vs- The Untouchables
With the odds stacked against The Impact Players, it was their ability to adapt to their opponents and their mentor, Sting, that provided the confidence to overcome the behemoths that are Ryback and Sheamus. The Untouchables were brutal, when they could get their hands on their smaller opponents. This was a back and forth match, not is speed or power, but in terms of who was controlling the tempo of the match. In the end, Sting offered up the distraction that allowed his team to get the win.
[Semi-Finals]: #1 Contenders Tournament : Team 3G -vs- Rey Escorpion & Dragon Rojo Jr.
The former Tag Champs looked at this as their last shot at the tag titles. They wrestled as if it was for the World Titles. Team 3G looked to prove to the fans that they were not a 'stand up' act, nor some two bit team, but the real deal. They handed the team from Mexico a great fight and in the end, were able to get a submission win and advance!
CPW Television Championship Match : Eric Young -vs- Rob Van Dam (c)
YOung looked to take the match and the title in this fast paced, hard hitting match. RVD and Young worked really well together. In the end, RVD was able to retain his title over the determined EY.
[Finals]: #1 Contenders Tournament : The Impact Players -vs- Team 3G
A battle of two of CPW's young teams, looking to make a name! The Impact Players have been making an impact over the past few weeks, while Team 3G has been getting better. Making it this far was a testament to each team. The match went back and forth, with each team coming close to getting the all important 3 count. Sting sat at ringside with the CPW Tag Champs and gave his impression of both teams, and why he decided to team up with the Impact Players. In the end, it was the Players who would take the win after a huge Rough Ryder on Hennig! Sting congratulated all four men on a hard earned fight, while Jericho and Burchill stood at ringside and smirked at their new contenders.
CPW Heavyweight Championship Match : Christian -vs- Cody Rhodes (c)
The Masked Man once again interfeared in the match, but this time Cody was able to get the mask off, only to reveal another mask underneath! THe mask underneath looked as if it had two eagle heads! This momentary distraction was nearly enough for Christian to gain the upperhand, but as the match wore on, Cody was able to regain control and get the three count, but it was only after he was able to avoid a high impact move from Christian and hit the Cross Rhodes to retain. After the match, Cody challenged this man to a fight! No Hold Barred! The man said he wasn't done with Cody, not by a long shot! If he wanted a match, he had better make it worth his while! Cody then said he would put the CPW Title on the line! The man said he would think about it.. and just then the lights went out. When they came back up moments later, there was a masked man behind Cody in the ring and one at ringside! The man at ringside told Cody to turn around. When he did, Cody turned into a Superkick from the second masked man! The show went off the air with moth men standing over Cody, each holding up the CPW Title!
