The camera pans the capacity crowd in Amarillo as Joe Dombrowski welcomes everyone to NWA Championship Wrestling. The camera cuts to the announcers position above the majority of the crowd in one corner of the arena as Dombrowski introduces his broadcast partners, “the Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels & “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Michaels immediately starts putting over the new NWA Lonestar and the talent involved in the promotion. Austin chooses to put over the fans who he claims have come out in mass to support the newest form of National Wrestling Alliance in Texas.

Ricochet | La Sombra |
Ricochet and La Sombra start the night off with a fast-paced match filled with offense from bell to bell. The crowd was solidly behind Sombra and he seemed to feed off of the energy as the match wore on. Sombra would score near falls after a Northern Lights suplex hold and a split-legged corkscrew senton and would bring the crowd out of their seats with both a corkscrew plancha and an imploding senton plancha to Ricochet as ringside. Ricochet wouldn’t be outdone though, catching Sombra with the Rickrack and the Backslide Driver to gain two counts. Both men were physically drained as the match wore on and Ricochet had to literally drag himself to the top turnbuckle for the 630 Senton. Sombra would roll out of the way though and several moments later would connect with the Shadow Driver to score the opening victory.
Michaels put over the talent of both men as Austin commented on the support that La Sombra received in Amarillo. Dombrowski sent the show to its first commercial as he hyped a forthcoming match between the Bravado Brothers and the Modern Day Warriors.

The show resumed with Dombrowski putting over Bobby Fish and Matt Cross and explaining their recent decision to start tagging together. Michaels points out that they will be at a distinct disadvantage when it comes to experience as the Harlem & Lancelot have been working together since 2008.

Bobby Fish | Matt Cross | Harlem Bravado | Lancelot Bravado |
The Bravado Brothers proved that experience does matter as they controlled the beginning of the match with quick tags and frequent assists. The resiliency of Fish and Cross carried them through though and eventually led to a lethal combination of Fish hitting the Sleeps with the Fishes and then Cross connecting with Death From Above.
Austin puts over the devastating finish and claims that the Modern Day Warriors seem to have a cult following here in Texas. Dombrowski moves forward by hyping the debut of Sami Callihan, pointing out his recent reign as Hybrid Pro Television Champion. Michaels comments that AR Fox is in need of a win here as well, noting that the competition has become much stiffer since Fox was originally signed in December.

Sami Callihan | AR Fox |
Callihan came off as simply ruthless in his debut as he mercilessly attacked Fox from the opening bell. Fox was on the defensive for the majority of the match allowing him to come up with several innovative counters to keep Callihan at bay. Fox would eventually connect with the Lo Mein Rain and then score a near fall with the Dutchman’s Boot, but this only seemed to enrage Callihan. Callihan would unload with a series of lariats and then drop Fox with a Headlock Driver. Callihan refused to cover though, instead pulling down the straps of his singlet and connecting with another Headlock Driver to score the victory.
Callihan would stand menacingly over Fox as Dombrowski put over the malicious beating that Callihan just delivered before sending the show to the second commercial break.

The show would resume with Dombrowski hyping the debut of Kalisto and the subsequent main event that pits him against Davey Richards. Austin would put over the talent of both men and mentioned that either could set themselves up for a shot at the NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Championship with a victory here.
Kalisto | Davey Richards |
This was easily the match of the night as both men took the other’s best shots and never relented. The first several minutes were filled with stiff strikes and unique counters that allowed neither man to gain any real advantage. Both men increased the intensity and the match quickly spilled over to the ringside area. Kalisto would connect with several planchas and a springboard hurricanrana from the apron. Richards would counter with a devastating running kick from the apron and then a suicide dive. The near falls would become almost cumbersome for the referee as both men unloaded with heavy offense as the match drew to a close. Kalisto would connect with the Hara-Kiri, a 450 splash and the Rising Sun but couldn’t muster more than a two count. Richards would unload with the Hammer of the Gods and an Invader but couldn’t hold Kalisto down for the three count. Kalisto would have an enziguri countered into an inverted cloverleaf but the bell would ring to signify the end of the fifteen minute time limit.
Dombrowski put over the main event once more and asked everyone to tune in next week when NWA Lonestar visists San Antonio.
