So I've not really been feeling this TV Title Tournament, the last show felt a bit rubbish so I'm just gooing to do quick results for the rest of the tournament to get it out of the way. Back to proper Hybrid Pro action next week.
NWA Hybrid Pro TV 21/03/2014
Johnny Gargano and Uhaa Nation are out to start the show. Gargano challenges Adam Cole and Chuck Taylor to a tag match, saying that if Cole and Taylor win he will admit that they were the better half of The Revolution, but if he and Nation win, he gets another shot at Cole in singles competition. Cole accepts, but in a swerve says the match won't happen until next week, one upping Gargano once again.
EC3 def Sean Waltman when he pulled the trunks on a rollup to steal a 3 count. EC3 went into this way too cocky, and Waltman almost beat him on several occasions, leading to EC£ cheating to win to advance.
Low-Ki def Kazarian in a fantastic back and forth X style match, when Ki nailed Kazarian with a Top Rope Ki Krusher after blocking the Flux Capacitor.
Paul London and Daniel Bryan appear via a pre-taped video. They say that after some soul searching, next week they will be back in Hybrid Pro, and this time they will prove why they are the best wrestlers on the planet.
Chris Dickinson def Jaka w/Samoa Joe in what had been a very hard hitting back and forth match, when he snuck in a Low Blow behind the ref's back and hit a Brain Drill for the 3 count. Joe didn't look happy post match, but didn't blame Jaka for having a victory stolen from him, instead going after Dickinson and hitting a Muscle Buster. Joe vs Dickinson will take place next week on Hybrid Pro TV!
In a major upset, ACH def Austin Aries to be the final man to advance to the semi finals in a jaw dropping matchup, one with far too many near falls to count and some utterly breathtaking high flying from ACH. Aries hat a Brainbuster and went up top for a 450 Splash, but ACH kicked up and took Aries off the top with a top rope Fatality. ACH then hat his Best 450 Ever and got the upset!
EC3 got another big upset by defeating Low-Ki, albeit under controversial circumstances. EC3 removed the turnbuckle pad early on in the match, a match where he broke the rules constantly but avoided being DQ'ed. Low-Ki made a fightback, and leapt into the corner looking for a backwards kick, but EC3 rushed towards him, blocked the move and tossed his head into the exposed turnbuckle. EC3 hat the One Percenter and got the win.
In a battle of four of the losers from the 1st round of the TV Title Tournament, Shane Hollister def Caleb Konley, Drew Gulak and Biff Busick to earn the first shot at the winner of the tournament and getting his first win in Hybrid Pro in the process, locking the Iowa Leglock to make Gulak tap.
Post match Matt Taven comes out with a massive gold belt around his waist, alongside the rest of The Pistols. Taven introduces himself as "The Real World Champion", saying that unlike that other belt his is the real deal and what everybody should strive to win (despite the fact it looks like it was bought second hand off Ebay for $20). He offers Hollister a spot in The Pistols, but Hollister turns him down and heads to leave, only for The Pistols to beat him down 4 on 1. The Pistols then carry off Taven who celebrates like he just achieved something amazing. Taven and The Pistols appear to have gone completely insane.
ACH def Chris Dickinson to take the final spot in the TV Title Tournament final, in what was another great matchup. Dickinson beat the hell out of ACH for much of this and at times dominated, but ACH showed all his resilience and fought back time and time again. He managed to nail the Big Bang Attack, which he followed with a Dragon Fly which gave him the massive win and that final spot.
The Hybrid Athletes (Kyle Matthews and Alberto Del Rio) w/Brock Lesnar def QuackSaw (Jigsaw and Mike Quackenbush) in what was largely a one sided matchup, with Lesnar also getting involved once or twice at ringside. Matthews locked Jigsaw in the Hidaka Lock to make him tap. Post match The Hybrid Athletes said they were on a collision course with one team in Hybrid Pro, The Unbreakable FN Machines, and called them out.
The Unbreakable FN Machines came out, and the two teams had a staredown, as Cage said that Matthews and Del Rio were nothing more than two washed up former champions who will never taste NWA success again, while he and Elgin were the very future of the business. The two teams ended up not coming to blows, with The Machines perhaps realising that a 3 on 2 situation vs 3 former World champs would not be in their favour.
We get a medical update on Sami Zayn, who will be back in a few weeks after his injuries suffered last week.
EC3 def ACH to win the TV Title Tournament and as a result the belt. ACH looked a little blown up in this one, having given his utter all in the past 2 matches, while EC3 had a lot more left in the tank, having used so many shortcuts in his matches that he was able to avoid taking a significant amount of damage. ACH did manage to get a few close calls however, but EC£ had a bit more and was able to hit the One Percenter on his exhausted opponent for 3.
