Alex Koslov vs. Matt Jackson
This match proved to be a great starting point after intermission with solid back and forth action and plenty of story added with the ringside antics of Rocky Romero and Nick Jackson. Koslov imposed his will eventually and controlled much of the final minutes of the match. Koslov would nearly force a submission with a crossface and then thought he had won the fight following the Soviet Strike. Jackson draped his foot over the bottom rope at the last possible moment and Koslov berated the referee as he felt it was an obvious three count. Koslov would protest and occupy the referee long enough for Romero to hit the Foreign Devil on Matt. Koslov would immediately go for the pin and secure the victory but it would be as a disqualification due to Nick Jackson pulling Koslov from the ring. A ringside brawl would commence and eventually move back up the entranceway and behind the curtain.
Kalisto and Ricochet would dazzle the fans with their quickness and aerial prowess, packing a tremendous amount of action into a short match. This match was full of counters and neither man seemed to gain control before Ricochet is able to slip out of the Hara-Kiri and counter with Chocolate Rain. However Kalisto is able to catch Ricochet and plant him with the Del Sol Driver for the surprising three count.
It became apparent as this match continued that the previous match was kept short in order to allow Omega and Richards more time to kick the hell out of one another. This match was full of vicious strikes and more head drops than can be remembered by those watching, let alone those taking the bumps. There were several dives to the outside by both men and several minutes of the match took place at ringside, with the referee proving very liberal with his count. As the match wore on it seemed as though the crowd willed each man to strike and then cringed with each impact. The near falls eventually became impossible to count as Richards would connect with a diving double foot stomp and Omega would unload with the Tony Jaa. Omega would follow with the Dragon Rebirth but Richards connected with the Hammer of the Gods. Omega looked unconscious on his feet after Richards drug him up to connect with the DR Driver II. Omega would kick out at the last second and Richards would quickly look for a folding powerbomb but Omega would use a hurricanrana to counter. Omega would then look for his own powerbomb and though Richards would drop to his knee twice to block the attempt, eventually Omega powered through and dropped Richards with his own folding powerbomb. The referee was only able to slap the mat once though as Omega dead-lifted Richards back onto his shoulders. Omega then let out a roar as he spun Richards on his shoulders, steadying him in for an electric chair drop before dropping Richards with Croyt’s Wrath for the impressive victory.
