vs.
Mistico vs. Tyson Kidd
The Dallas, Texas crowd was excited for the main event of the evening pitting two international veterans of the ring against one another. As the tale of the tape appears on the screen, Borash and Funk discuss who has the upper hand in the contest. Borash notes that nearly category favours Kidd with Funk countering that Mistico has had the most success individually, with most of Kidd's accomplishments taking place in the tag team division. Either way, the fans are in for an excellent match to cap off Lonestar's return!

The crowd was split down the middle with one half starting a "Let's go, Kidd!" chant as the bell rang; the other half followed with "Mi-sti-co!" The two attempted to lock up, but with neither man gaining the advantage, they broke it off. They locked up again, this time Kidd was able to take advantage and Kidd was able to grab Mistico in a headlock. Mistico pushed him into the ropes and dropped to the mat as Kidd hops over him to the other side of the ring, bouncing off the far ropes and running straight into a nice dropkick by the Mexico City product!
Kidd is quick to his feet but is met with a step up enziguri, knocking the former NWA World Tag Team Champion back down to the mat! Mistico goes for the high octane offence to start as he immediately attempts a handspring back elbow. Kidd catches him mid air and drops him to the mat with a nice German suplex, bridging for the pin, which Mistico kicked out just after the two count. Kidd is quick to his feet, dropping Mistico with a stiff kick to the head. As Mistico lay on the mat, Kidd drops two knees to the back of his shoulder and neck, and locks on a reverse chinlock.
Mistico, stomping his feet to get the crowd to rally behind him, shows exceptional power for a man his size, using his leg strength to power out of the chinlock. He hits three elbows to Kidd's gut and pushes him into the ropes. Kidd comes at Mistico and reverses a tilt a whirl backbreaker into a hurricanronna, sending "el Principe de Oro" back to the canvas! Kidd continues his quick pace, picking Mistico up to his feet. Kidd lifts him up, high in the air, surely going for a brainbuster. Mistico counters the move, dropping to his feet and quickly rolling Kidd up into a small package!
The referee makes the count, but Kidd kicks out before the hand can hit the mat for a third time. Both men race to get to their feet. Surprisingly, Kidd makes it first, and charges at Mistico. Mistico counters with a Japanese arm drag, sending Kidd to the mat, and Kidd rolls to the outside to collect his breath! He is barely on the floor for more than a few seconds before Mistico dives through the ropes, hitting his opponent with a suicide dive, causing Kidd to crash into the guardrail! The referee begins his twenty count as Mistico steps onto the apron. He waits for Kidd to get to his feet before running and jumping off the apron and he delivers a hurricanronna to Kidd, thrusing Kidd's back onto the floor!
Mistico slides back into the ring as the referee reaches the count of ten, with Kidd still clutching his back in pain. By the fifteen count, Kidd is on his feet and he rolls into the ring himself. Mistico goes for a quick cover, but Kidd kicks out. As Kidd makes it to his knees, he is met with two stiff kicks to his left arm and elbow, undoubtedly setting him up for La Mistica. With Kidd still on his knees, Mistico plants him with a DDT, and goes for another cover. Once again, Kidd is able to kick out at two.
Mistico picks Kidd up, but is caught with a knee to the gut and a snapmare suplex! Kidd cannot make the cover, but he does buy some time to rest. Kidd uses the corner turnbuckles to make it to his feet. Mistico gets up as well and he looks to take advantage of the still dazed Kidd. He runs to the turnbuckles; as he does, Kidd slips his legs through the top two ropes and hits a stiff kick to Mistico's face, knocking him to the mat! Kidd steps to the apron and hits a springboard knee drop to the head of his opponent! He quickly goes for the cover and gets a two count.
Wasting no time, Kidd puts on a headlock. Mistico once again shows is power by getting to his feet, but rather than countering the submission hold, Mistico is hit with a neckbreaker! Kidd quickly runs to the ropes and hits a nice leg drop, crushing Mistico's neck! The relentless Kidd is quick to his feet once again, this time running against the opposite ropes, coming in with a baseball slide to the head of Mistico! Kidd, sensing the momentum growing ever in his favour, goes for the kill! He leaps into the nearby middle rope, back flips and lands squarely on Mistico's abdomen, hitting the springboard moonsault in the process!
He goes for the pin once again, and once again Mistico kicks out, this time the referee's hand was just inches above the mat! Kidd picks Mistico up and brings him to the corner. Kidd steps on the middle ropes and grabs a hold of his opponent's head. He leaps off the ropes, attempting a tornado DDT, but Mistico counters, sending Kidd flying to the mat, face first! Kidd is quick to his feet and misses a clothesline over the ducking Mistico, who hits the wonky Kidd with a handspring back elbow to the delight of the crowd! Mistico then leaps to the nearby middle rope, hitting a springboard moonsault of his own!
Instead of going for the cover, Mistico grabs Kidd's arm and locks on a cross armbreaker, stretching his left arm. Kidd screams in anguish, pounding the mat in pain! Kidd is able to stretch a leg out to the bottom rope, forcing Mistico to break the hold! Kidd holds his arm as he gets to his feet, leaving his upper body open for a back heel kick. Kidd is dazed, and Mistico hits three kicks to his left arm, and another to his head, knocking him down to the mat!
Mistico signals that the match is over, and he climbs to the top rope! He dives off of the top rope, flipping over for the senton bomb! Mistico crashes into the mat as Kidd is able to roll out of the way. Both men are down and the referee is forced to begin a ten count! Kidd is the first to his feet. He lifts Mistico up and drops him to the mat with a brainbuster! Rather than going for the pin, Kidd steps out to the apron of the ring. As Mistico gets to his feet, Kidd hops to the top rope, attempting a Code Blue!
Mistico rolls out of the way and Kidd lands on his feet, doing a complete flip in the process. Both men charge at each other as Mistico ducks a weak clothesline attempt from Kidd. They bounce off the ropes opposite each other and Mistico is hit with a flying forearm, knocking him back into the ropes! Kidd grabs Mistico and Irish whips him across the ring! Mistico counters Kidd's tilt a whirl backbreaker into La Mistica, slamming Kidd's head into the mat and grabbing ahold of his left arm for a Fujiwara armbar!
Kidd is in the middle of the ring with no energy to move towards the ropes! He fights the hold momentarily but is unable to do anything, forcing him to tap! Mistico wins the match! The crowd roar in approval and they are all on their feet, clapping their hands in appreciation! Mistico celebrates and leaves the ring, shaking hands, hugging women, and posing for photos with the fans. As Kidd gets to his feet, the two shake hands as the fans break out a small "Thank you, Kidd" chant.
Kidd leaves the arena as Mistico ends the night celebrating with the fans.
