The show opens as always with Shaman standing behind the ceremonial flames, as he prepares to recieve a vision of the nights action. Shaman clenches his eyes shut... No... NO! Shaman drops to his knees NOOOOoooOOOOO! The ceremonial fires flare up...
The giant dragon mouth opens as smoke bellows from it's nostrils, allowing passage for the stars of the Independent Union.
Chris Ashton has been staying at the IU dojo and now he's showing off what he's picked up as he faces off against a very dangerous opponent. Abispa would go to work on the legs of the high flying Ashton with dragon screw leg whips violently jerking Chris to the mat repeatedly, trying to set him up for a double leg crab, but Ashton would fight every attempt knowing how well versed Abispa is in the submission style. Ashton was able to fight out after a leaping enziguri stunning Abispa, Ashton would hobble a bit but still execute a series of quick attacks coming off the ropes from multiple angles nearly getting a three count after driving Abispa to the mat with a sling blade. Ashton tried to follow up with a standing sliced bread but Abispa would crotch him on the top rope, quickly bringing him off the top with a side slam transitioning into the Anaconda vice in the middle of the ring forcing Ashton to tap out.
Uraki has been wrestling for well over a decade, but has only recently made it into the big leagues. The Unknown looked to try to spark some sort of momentum taking on this newcomer. The Unknown showed off his arsenal of pinning combinations but nothing would stick. Uraki who was getting frustrated would nearly KO Unknown with a jumping knee, Uraki just couldn't get the pin as Unknown got his shoulder up at 2.99999! Uraki smelled blood however and would continue to control the pace of the match grabbing the wrist of Unknown holding him in range for a flurry of chops, capping off the barrage with one violent chop that sent Unknown out of the ring and onto the apron! Uraki tried to drive his shoulder into the midsection of Unknown, but Unknown was able to avoid the attack, pulling Uraki onto the apron where the masked man would suplex his opponent to the hardwood floor below in sickening fashion! Unknown would run up the nearby turnbuckle using a flipping senton to come crashing down on Uraki who had just made it to his feet moments prior! Unknown looked like he was finally on his way to a victory but back in the ring Uraki would counter an irish whip turning Unknown inside out with a lariat before pulling him up to finish him off with a Wrist Clutch Exploder.
This was the video debuts of both Kodama and Shinigami, Kappa got a nice reaction from the crowd, who love his high risk and comedic style. Mizuchi and Kappa would battle with Mizuchi using his capoeira background to puzzle and punish Kappa with vicious handstand kicks. Shinigami tried to match power with Kodama but was very out matched as Kodama planted him with a one armed slam! This left Mizuchi to face off against Kodama, Mizuchi tried using his educated feet but was nearly killed with a wheel barrow suplex! Kodama looked like a monster until Shinigami came off the top rope with a dropkick, immediatly following up with forearms to the head of the staggered Kodama. Kappa would come from off screen hitting a swinging leaping hurrincanrana on Shinigami. Kappa would running stomp Kodama who's seated in the corner, landing on his feet after a backflip! Mizuchi would try for a handstand double kick but Kappa and Shinigami would catch his legs, only to have Mizuchi roll through sending his opponents laying against the ropes ala 619 set up. Mizuchi looked to get ready to attack, but Kodama would level him with a discus forearm, following up with a pair of frying pan like chops to the backs of both Shinigami and Kappa! Kodama would practically kill Mizuchi with a backdrop driver! Shinigami would use a rush of palm strikes and chops to stagger Kodama but eventually fell victim to a lariat that got Kodama a two count. Kappa would come sailing out of nowhere again with a diving knee strike sending Kodama flipping out of the ring near where Mizuchi is standing. This led to Kappa diving over the ropes with a no touch flip senton taking out both Mizuchi and Kodama! Shinigami wasn't to be outdone, coming off the top rope with a plancha onto everyone! All four men would battle on the outside, with Kodama powerbombing Shinigami into the turnbuckle post, before pulling him into the ring for a long two count! Kodama would murder Shinigami with a backdrop driver putting away another opponent. Kappa would springboard into the ring trying for a clothesline but Kodama would catch him for a black hole slam! It wasn't enough to get the job done as Kappa kicked out! Kodama tried for a clothesline but Kappa would duck the swing coming off the ropes with a slingshot tornado DDT , setting up for a moonsault double stomp off the top. Kappa would attempt the stomp but Kodama wasn't there to get stomped on, instead he was waiting for Kappa so he could blast him in the back of the head with a lariat to give him the victory in this wild four way!
This was the return of the Canadian Thunder Horse, taking on the hard hitting former MMA star, Puchteca! Puchteca would come at Thunder Horse from the onset swinging with windmill punches and knees trying to end this match quickly but TH would shove him away throwing a roundhouse kick that Puchteca would narrowly avoid. Thunder Horse would press the advantage taking swings at Puchteca who would back pedal to avoid each blow, blocking one punch from TH countering with a high kick, before trying to roll him into a crossarm breaker but Thunder Horse would lock his hands keeping from being locked in the painful hold, countering with a deadlift powerbomb! Thunder Horse would immediatly drop knee after knee to the side of Puchteca's head but Puchteca was able to put his foot on the bottom rope forcing the ref to back up Thunder Horse who would try to push past the ref to get back at Puchteca, who has slid out of the ring to catch his breath. TH wouldn't let him get away so easy diving through the ropes with a suicide dive! Thunder Horse tried to tombstone piledrive Puchteca on the hardwoods, but Puchteca would fight out of the hold hitting a sole butt to the midsection of Thunder Horse before whipping him into the safety railing, crashing into him with a running knee! Puchteca tried to roll Thunder Horse into the ring for a pinfall, but only got a two as this match continued. Puchteca would grab the head of Thunder Horse nailing him across the face with shin kicks but Thunder Horse was able to somehow absorb the kicks pushing Puchteca away, and hitting a double chop to create some distance. Thunder Horse would use a gutwrench suplex to take down Puchteca, transitioning into a border city stretch that almost got Puchteca to submit but the martial artist would grab the bottom rope! Both men looked exhausted at this point as they exchanged punches, forearms, and kicks in the middle of the ring! Thunder Horse was able to catch a high kick from Puchteca, hoisting him up and using a running buckle bomb to stun Puchteca long enough for Thunder Horse to finish him off with a tombstone piledriver!
Something felt wrong from the beginning of this match as Overdose came to the ring holding the Necronomicon. The heroes in this match all have history with Overdose and his summons, Mongrel is the heavenly hound that is bound by honor to defeat evil such as Overdose. Paladin was recently possessed due to a spell from Overdoses arsenal, and Black Ninja... well you can write a book on the rivalry there. Overdose was smiling throughout the match even as his summons were picked apart by the heroes. Overdose would get his necronomicon reciting a passage as Paladin got to close to his corner, unleashing Havok once again upon the Union! Apparently Black Ninja just made the evil side of Paladin dorment, and now it was unleashed as Havok turned on Mongrel! Overdose would hand a wooden stick to Havok who would snap it in half jamming the sharp point into the head of Mongrel tearing his mask open a bit. Black Ninja tried to get involved but Hannibal and Annie Maye would rush down in the knick of time dragging Ninja out of the ring! Black Ninja tried to fight his way to the ring, but even he knew the numbers were too great now. Havok would get Mongrels blood on his hand rubbing it across his own face like sadistic war paint! Overdose would reopen the book of the dead, as Havok drags Mongrel out of the ring and to the back.
Heretic and MINORI would start this match off showing off there skills at counter wrestling, with MINORI trying to apply a Spider Twist submission but Heretic would scoot away as MINORI would motion with his fingers how close Heretic was to being submitted. Heretic would tag out to Scourge and the dynamic would drastically change as Scourge would come in windmill punching MINORI and you could hear the smacks of fists against flesh as MINORI had to cover up. Scourge would knee MINORI over and over in the corner before coming off the ropes to drill him with a very stiff running knee to the side of the head! Scourge tried for the pinfall but only got a two. DoA is a very cohesive team as Scourge held the foot of MINORI tagging out to Heretic who took revenge for earlier stomping on the head of MINORI before twisting his boot on the side of MINORI's head! DoA looked to have control keeping up the quick tags and keeping MINORI in the wrong corner as Ryozo started to get frustrated trying to get in the ring to help his partner, but it would just cause the ref to be distracted. Heretic would drop MINORI across his knee holding him in a backbreaker as Scourge would come off the ropes hitting a sick kick to the skull of MINORI, but it only got DoA another two count as MINORI continued showing his fighter instincts. MINORI would come back to life when Scourge tried to whip him into a corner but MINORI would run up the ropes backflipping behind Scourge hitting him the back with a leaping double knee strike taking both men to the mat as the ref started his count. It was a long count but both men would make tags to their partners with Ryozo coming in on fire hitting spinning heel kicks on both members of the DoA! Ryozo used a snap suplex on Heretic for a one count, and Ryozo would immediatly bash him with a hard elbow strike to the head! Ryozo would back up to the ropes waiting for Heretic to get up but Black Widow would get on the apron behind him kicking him in the back with a jumping enziguri kick that allowed Heretic to hit the Telerana!
The jezebel known as Black Widow has helped her clients become the tag team champions of the Independent Union. The scene in the ring was stomach churning as Black Widow holds up the hands of the DoA as they clutch the tag titles to their respective chests.
If there was any question of Black Heart's ability it was put to rest on the last show when he systematically destroyed Powder Keg. This week however Black Heart wouldn't be attacked off the bat, instead he was able to prepare for the match taking off this tie and sunglasses before heading to the middle of the ring to exchange bows with Shaolin. Black Heart would cheap shot a bowing Shaolin with a kick to the face! Black Heart would apply an arm wrench, stepping on the back of Shaolin's knee forcing him to a kneeling position. Black Heart is eerily calm as he grips the fingers of Shaolin bending them back painfully controlling his challenger. Black Heart would keep the arm wrench locked in tight kicking Shaolin in the side of the head with humiliating face scrapes before sizing him up for a straight kick to the head! While Shaolin tried to get up Black Heart would undo the buttons on his sleeves, kicking Shaolin in the side of the head again. The champion would continue to dominate the match curb stomping Shaolin, just toying with him at this point. Shaolin would use the ropes to pull himself to his feet trying so hard to stay in this title match, throwing a clothesline but Black Heart would effortlessly duck the swing and when Shaolin would turn around to face off with Black Heart again he would get hit with the spinning back chop to the throat dropping him in a sickening heap. Black Heart would pin the lifeless Shaolin for a three count to retain the Independent Crown.
