NWA New York TV 13/06/2014
Dave Prazak is at ringside with Booker T to begin our show.
Prazak: Hello wrestling fans and welcome to NWA New York. I'm Dave Prazak, and I am joined at ringside by Booker T. Booker, we have had a lot of letters and emails asking about your health and your state of mind, so are you feeling better after your week of trauma?
Booker: Yes indeed Dave Prazak, I am feeling a whole lot better now that my mind is free of that magic Undertaker guy and his evil voodoo spells. He's definitely not here tonight right sucka?
Prazak: He isn't here tonight Booker.
Booker: Thank god, I couldn't deal with that again dawg. I'm ready for some action then Prazak.
Prazak: Of course we are also missing Brodus Clay and Michael Elgin this evening. Elgin has barely recovered from the beating Clay gave him last week but he has proven he really is unbreakable by heading to CPW for the road to the King of the Ring throne! Could it be his Booker?
Booker: I dunno about that dawg, that sucka has had the hell beaten out of him and it might be one step too far, but he's still fightin and never stays down, so maybe it'll be his.
Prazak: So basically you don't know. *sighs* Good to have you back Booker, let's get to the first match.
Kazarian vs "The FN Machine" Brian Cage
Kazarian is in contendership for the Junior Heavyweight Title, while Cage is looking to get back into the Heavyweight Title race. It was a good matchup, very solid though not spectacular outside of a few high spots near the end. Cage would come out on top, hitting the Weapon X to get 3.
Winner- Brian Cage
Prazak: Good stuff there Booker and a nice win for Cage.
Booker: Absolutely Dave Prazak, both these guys are in my fave five for sure dawg and my man B-Cage comes out with a win.
Dr Thug alongside his Thug Coalition of Fandango in electronically controlled boots and his wrestling terminator Shockwave The Robot make their way to the ring. They are joined by Jobber, who has been operated on by Dr Thug and turned evil once again as he was in NWA Midwest/UK, he has a steel chair with him which he isn't afraid to use. Santino then heads out onto the ramp.
Santino: Ah the John Cena, I am not sure why you are in this get up and with a group of a robot man, do the Fandango and El Generico, but I happy to wrestle you.
Thug: Who is this John Cena you speak of? I am Dr Thug, the most evil of all mad scientists, and this is my Thug Coalition. We are the future rulers of the entire universe, HAHAHAHA!
Santino: Whatever the John Cena, I will defeat you tonight with my tag partner, The R-Truth!
R-Truth comes out onto the ramp, and for some bizarre reason is dressed up as a Sherlock Holmes style detective.
Truth: That's Inspector Truth-so Santino, but you can call me Inspector Truth for short. And I am here to investigate all the strange and illegal goings on in NWA New York, starting with you Dr Thug. Plotting world domination is a serious criminal offense, as is performing illegal operations on innocent civilians, building robots as weapons and enslaving human beings with remote controlled boots. When we defeat you tonight Thug then I'm taking you and your entourage into solitary for a long time. Remember kids, the truth shall set you free, so don't do drugs and stay in school!
Booker: Oh he did not just say that, he likes a smoke more than anyone sucka and did time for...
Prazak: NO BOOKER *coughs" I mean, of course Inspector Truth wouldn't do anything like that fans, stay in school and enjoy this matchup.
Booker; Whatever dawg.
The Thug Coalition (Shockwave The Robot and Fandango) w/Dr Thug + "Crazy" Jobber w/chair vs Santino and Inspector Truth
The Thug Coalition has to be the most bizarre collection of individuals I've seen in recent memory: considering that Fandango is the most sane one of the four and even he seems to be slowly turning mad as well says a lot about them. Combine this with Santino and his wacky comedy and Inspector R-Truth and this match was never going to be a serious one. Fandango's boots were playing up and caused him to wrestle in slow motion, with Santino mockingly joining in for a slow mo sequence ala Ebessan and Kuishinbo Kamen. Jobber smashed Fandango a few times with his chair to try and get them working but this just made things worse, as it looked like The Thug Coalition would lose this. Then Fandango managed to tag Shockwave and the wrestling terminator showed no mercy, destroying both Santino and Truth with his wrestling skills, before nailing the Toxic Shock Syndrome to end it.
Winner- The Thug Coalition
Prazak: A sneaky win for the Thug Coalition Booker, what do you think of these guys?
Booker: I don't know what da hale is going on with these guys dawg, there's a robot man and a dancing man, plus that Jobber kid seems to love that chair. Why's R-Truth a detective, he don't have a law degree sucka? I'm so confused man, I don't even.....
Suddenly the lights go out and a spotlight appears over Booker T.
Booker: OH MY GOODNESS, NOT AGAIN!
There is a puff of smoke, and when the lights come back on BOOKER IS GONE! Inspector Truth runs over and starts examining the scene of the crime with his magnifying glass, only to get a massive shock when he checks.
Truth: Oh no, SPIDERS, I HATE SPIDERS!
Truth and Dave Prazak run off as The Undertaker appears to have worked his magic again. Prazak isn't coming back apparently, so this means the rest of our show is commentary free it seems.
We get a hype video for "Mr Average" Joe Hennig in the style of his father's old videos. We see him playing a round of golf, where he makes par after 18 holes. We then see him playing some basketball, where he makes 50% of the shots he takes and misses the other 50%. A message tells us that "Mr Average" will make his debut next week on NWA New York TV.
Colt Cabana and "Cowboy" James Storm are first out for our tag team grudge match. "Wildcat" Chris Harris then comes out onto the ramp with a mic.
Harris: You may ask who exactly my tag team partner is. Well, he is a man that much like me has been mocked for his weight in the past. He has also just like me become a running joke all over the internet. And much like me he has gotten himself back into shape and wants to prove his detractors wrong, which he is doing with ease. Ladies and gentlemen, my tag team partner, MATT HARDY!
Matt Hardy alongside his "Number One MF'er" Shannon Moore join Harris, and Hardy has something to add to this.
Hardy: Chris Harris, I do feel your pain. I to was mocked for years, people enjoyed calling me Fatt Hardy. But then I was reborn and given the power of Mattitude, the power to touch my many followers all around the world, it motivated me to get into the great condition I am today and once again spread the word alongside my "Number 1 MF'er". Together with me Chris we will make the non-believers in the ring pay for their crimes, and prove that we will both never die!
Grudge Tag Team Match
Colt Cabana and "Cowboy" James Storm vs "Wildcat" Chris Harris and Matt Hardy "Version 1.0" w/"Number 1 MF'er" Shannon Moore
Matt fact of the day: After a weight loss program developed by himself, Matt now weight a lean 220 pounds! Cabana clearly saw an opportunity to play some mind games in this one, pretending that Harris and Hardy were too heavy for him to lift, which was actually quite a clever strategy which irritated his opponents considerably. Storm however seemed a little conflicted by this, he played this one straight and almost didn't seem like he was going all out when he was in there with Harris. Storm and Hardy would end up brawling to the outside, as Harris and Cabana fought back and forth. Cabana would go for the Colt 45, but Harris escaped and rolled up Cabana with a schoolboy, pulling the trunks for a cheap 3 count.
Winners- Chris Harris and Matt Hardy
It is announced post match that we will see Chris Harris and James Storm go one on one, in addition to Colt Cabana and a partner of his choosing vs Mattitude for the Tag Team Titles. Storm again looks conflicted while Harris, still filled with rage is ready to take some revenge on his former tag team partner.
We get a quick video update on Gregory Helms, who was viciously assaulted by Brodus Clay last week. He is still in a hospital bed but is recovering nicely and should be back next week to resume his interviewing duties. The Hurricane isn't here tonight either, as he has been at Gregory's bedside most of the week protecting him from any further attacks.
We are backstage with Paul London and Justin Gabriel
London: So its really come to this, James Gibson the lightweight gets in the ring with me. Its not even going to be a real challenge for either of us. I mean I was the main who was too good to be a simple Junior Heavyweight, so good that I even got to face Christopher Daniels in his retirement match for the NWA World Heavyweight Title, while your a washed up shell of what you used to be Gibson, not that you ever were anything to begin with. If anybody deserves to hold the belt your wearing around your waist right now its this man, Justin Gabriel. This man has all the talent in the world, he could be World Junior Heavyweight Champion and could even be a heavyweight like me someday. Gibson, Yang you don't stand a chance!
Main Event Grudge Tag Match
James Gibson and Jimmy Yang vs Paul London and Justin Gabriel
This is the first time that James Gibson and Jimmy Yang have teamed up in over 10 years, they were of course two thirds of The Jung Dragons back in the day with Kay Hayashi. London wanted nothing to do with Gibson despite his pre-match cockiness, something that I don't think will surprise anyone based on his sneak attacks in recent weeks, with Gibson and Gabriel mixing it up for much of this. Yang got isolated from his corner, as London taunted Gibson, making him try to get in constantly and thus making Yang susceptible to 2 on 1 attacks from Gabriel and London. Yang finally hat a desperation Enziguri and managed to make the tag to Gibson, who came in a house of fire, taking out Gabriel and begging for London to be a man and get in the ring with him. London obliges and the two go back and forth, with Gibson taking control and going for the Gibson Driver. Gabriel attacks from behind and goes for a Tornado DDT, but Gibson tosses him to the outside AND YANG TAKES HIM OUT WITH A SUICIDE DIVE! Gibson turns around straight into a Hurricanrana from London, who goes up top. LONDONS CALLING! 1-2-3, London wins it, but not without some help from his tag partner!
Winners- Paul London and Justin Gabriel
We end the show with the announcement that Paul London and James Gibson will finally go one on one next week in a non-title match, that should be fantastic. We will see you next week wrestling fans.
