TAG TEAM MATCH
The Briscoes vs. SPEED KILLS(Amazing Red & TJ Perkins)
The Briscoes will be facing the world tag team champions at Raising the Bar, but they really needed to focus on the match at hand as they faced off against the high flying pair of Red and Perkins. Jay started things off and looked frustrated as Red and Perkins used their speed to keep out of his grasp until Jay finally scored with a mafia kick that flattened Red! The huge kick was the set up for the Briscoes to take over the match. Amazing Red was in the wrong side of town as the brothers cut him off from TJ Perkins who could only watch on as Red was dismantled by years of tag team experience. The younger Mark Briscoe unleashed his redneck kung-fu but took too much time playing to the crowd and it allowed Red to make the tag to Perkins, but it didn’t matter. Mark continued to goof off and was still able to put a hurting on SPEED KILLS, as Jay paced the corner a bit annoyed with Mark’s theatrics but it was getting the job done. The end came soon after as The Briscoes used the doomsday device on TJ to pick up the victory.
After the match Lena Yada and the world tag team champions came down the ramp. Lena would hold the belts for her clients as they circled the ring like a couple of sharks trying to find the opening as The Briscoe brothers went back to back ready to fight off the most dominate tag team in recent history. Before all hell could break loose the NWA President, Dustin Smith would come out onto the ramp.
Dustin: Enough! I know you can’t wait to tear each other apart, hell all over the world you’ve beaten the hell out of each other and you’ll get the chance to do it again come Raising the Bar. So Rockstars get to the back, I don’t want any of you to throw a hand at each other until the iPPV, and in return I’m going to make the match no DQ, and falls will count anywhere in the building!
The Briscoes grin toothless smiles as the Rockstars look a bit sick but after Lena Yada whispers something into their ears the mood changes as both teams look excited to go to war!
SINGLES MATCH
“The Rebel” Tim Donst vs. Magnus
This was the debut of Magnus who came into this one dressed for success, only taking off his tie and suit jacket. Donst came at Magnus with guns blazing but was quickly picked apart and planted with a reverse swinging neckbreaker.
SINGLES MATCH
Sami Zayn vs. Solomon Crowe
Ole! This match started off with a huge pop for Zayn as he faced off against the former Sami Callihan, Crowe would duck a lock up by Zayn, followed by another, and yet another before taking a powder to the outside. Crowe can be so dangerous but tonight it looked like he’s avoiding Zayn. Zayn would look to dive but Crowe would get out of the way thinking he let Zayn crash and burn, but Sami would hang onto the ropes and skin the cat back into the ring, making the actual dive when Crowe turned around! The Ole! Chants would start again as Zayn rained down punches on Solomon before hurling him back into the ring. If Crowe wouldn’t fight Zayn, Zayn would make him! Sami scored with a crossbody off the top rope for a two count but Solomon would kick out and eventually wrestle his way into a key lock on Zayn as Crowe looked to dictate the pace of the match. Zayn would try to get away but ended up getting dumped on his head with a half nelson suplex as Crowe sized him up and scored with a running bicycle kick for a near fall! Crowe tried to hold down Zayn for another pin but still couldn’t get the job done. Solomon tried to use a sit down powerbomb but Sami would counter with a nice roll up for a two count. The two men would speed things up going counter for counter until Zayn snap off an exploder suplex dumping Crowe in the corner! Crowe tried to regain his composure in the corner but Zayn would follow up with a mafia kick nearly taking Solomon’s head off! Sami finished off his opponent with a brainbuster picking up a great win after a great match!
SINGLES MATCH
Davey Richards vs. “The Sicilian Psychopath” Tommaso Ciampa
Adam Pearce would sit in on commentary as he sized up his opponent for Raising the Bar. The presence of Pearce would make Richards keep his head on a swivel, and taking his attention off of Ciampa would prove devastating! Ciampa would blindside Richards with a discus forearm knocking him down in the corner where Tommaso would batter Davey with knees to the temple before getting a head of steam blasting Richards with a knee that would knock a normal man out! But Richards isn’t a normal man and he was able to kick out after a long two count! Even Pearce seemed to be impressed by the resolve of the #1 contender to his championship. Ciampa would try for project Ciampa but Richards would fight free and had to duck as he came off the ropes as Ciampa tried to throw a big clothesline as Richards came back off the ropes hitting a leaping enziguri nearly knocking out Ciampa as Richards tried for the DR Driver but Ciampa would power out but Richards would hold on sunset flipping Tommaso getting a two count, only to have Richards transition into the ankle lock in the middle of the ring where Ciampa would have no chance but to submit!
Pearce would try to sneak attack Richards, but Davey would duck as Adam tried to level him with the Allegheny championship. Davey would roll up Pearce transitioning into another ankle lock making the champion cry out in pain as Richards looked to snap the ankle of his opponent at Raising the Bar, but Richards would eventually let go letting Pearce clutch his ankle in agony as Richards smirked at his handy work.
Ohio River Title Match
“The Whole Foxin’ Show” AR Fox vs. “The Premier Athlete” Tony Nese© w/ Bobby Fish
AR Fox was the winner of a show stealing match against Andrew Everett on the last show, and this allowed for him to get a shot at the Ohio River title against one half of the New York Connection. Fish was such an annoyance on the outside as he gave direction to his partner from ringside, and Nese would show off at the expense of Fox. AR would eventually hit a superkick on Nese that would swing the match in his favor as he rallied the crowd behind him, taking down the champion with a dropkick off the top rope that sent Nese flipping and eventually out of the ring as he tried to regroup with his tag partner. Fox wasn’t letting this title match go to waste as he dove out of the ring with a front flip over the top rope taking out the NYC and getting a great pop from the crowd! Fox would bring Nese back into the ring hitting a standing shooting star press for a near fall but premier athlete had too much in the tank. Fox would try going to the top rope looking for a finish but Nese would cut him off as both men fought in dangerous territory! Fox looked to hit lo mein pain off the top but Nese would shove him off and tried to end it with a 450 splash but AR Fox somehow got his knees up! Bobby Fish looked on in absolute horror as Fox sized up Nese for a jumping RKO but Nese would shove him off, following up with a leaping spin kick to the back of Fox’s head looking for another pinfall but Fox was able to kick out and Tony looked stunned. Nese would scoot back to his corner as Fish tried to coach him back into this match as Fox pulled himself to his feet begging for Tony to take another shot at him. Fox used a sole food variation to stop the champion again before taking him to the top setting up for Lo Mein Pain but Nese would fight him off again pushing him off the top rope where Nese would try for another 450 splash this one would not only connect but allow the champion to retain his title!
