NWA New York TV 27/06/2014
Welcome to NWA New York TV. Our commentary team this evening is Dave Prazak and the returning Booker T, who appears to be over his latest trauma.
Our show begins with none other than The Rock and Michael Elgin heading for the ring to a massive ovation. The Rock soaks in the cheers and Elgin nods with approval as he takes the mic.
Rock: The Rock would say his usual opening line here about coming back to New York City, but the truth is The Rock hasn't left yet so that would be kinda stupid. Instead The Rock wants to talk to you about a man called Brodus Clay. You see The Rock was giving his speech to his millions (and millions) of fans last week, only to be interrupted by "Big Bad" Brodus. Big Bad? What sort of a nickname is that. Is Brodus Clay the big bad wolf in a fatass costume? Well wolf boy, you'd better be ready because The Rock is going to lay the smackdown on your candy fatass!
The crowd explode and chant "Rocky".
Rock: But The Rock isn't the only one who wants revenge. No, Michael Elgin also wants to get his hands on Brodus, he lost his title and got tossed off a stage, but he's still here, and The Rock loves his "Unbreakable" spirit. That is why The Rock and Michael Elgin want you Brodus, and a partner of your choosing in a tag team match at The Great American Bash!
The fans want that match based on their reaction, and I would love to see it. Brodus Clay then heads down to the ring and snatches the mic out of The Rock's hands.
Clay: Who says it has to be a tag match? I can take on both of you by myself. When I pin you once again Michael Elgin and pin you Rocky in the same night in front of millions of your fans around the globe, nobody will be able to deny that I am the uncrowned NWA World Champion! And why wait until The Great American Bash? I'll fight you both right here, right now!
Brodus throws the mic down and asks them to bring it, AND THE BRAWL IS ON! Rock and Elgin bash away on Clay with punches, then throw him into the ropes, AND BRODUS TAKES BOTH DOWN WITH A DOUBLE LARIAT! Clay grabs Elgin and hits an Exploder, tossing him straight into The Rock. He grabs Elgin and Rock by their throats and lifts them off the canvas, DOUBLE G-GRIP! Clay goes outside the ring, grabs the chair, piles Rock and Elgin on top of each other and places the chair on top of them. BRODUS BOMB! Brodus towers over them both with his NWA New York Heavyweight Title and leaves as the fans boo, and officials attend to his downed rivals.
Prazak: What a statement by Brodus, he took both of them down by himself like they were nothing, maybe he could take them on like this at The Great American Bash. And if he does win, who's left to stop him?
Booker: I dunno dawg, but I do think my man M-Elgin and my buddy da Rock will regroup, they were kinda taken by surprise. Not many would take on two men by themselves sucka.
Prazak: Absolutely Booker, and I think under different circumstances we could have seen what we saw happen to Brodus last week. Will he go it alone or will it be a tag match? And who will come out on top? I can't wait to find out, but on to our opening matchup.
"Mr Average" Joe Hennig w/"Above Average" Mike Sanders vs Santino
Not a particularly thrilling opener to be honest, Hennig still looks pretty average in there as Sanders hasn't had long to work his magic yet, while Santino is hardly revered for his wrestling skill, but it was entertaining enough for what it was and gave the fans a chance to calm down after the chaos of our opening segment. Hennig was getting advice from Sanders constantly, which began to annoy the fans and Santino himself, who put the cobra on and started chasing Sanders around. Sanders ran into the ring and Santino ran straight into Hennig, who grabbed him and hat a sloppy Average Plex for the 3 count.
Winner- Joe Hennig
The Texus of Paul London, Michael Shane and Spanky head for the ring to boos from the fans, ready to explain their actions.
London: What you see before you is the latest iteration of The Texus, Texus 2.0 if you will. We are three of the finest talents on the entire planet, capable of defeating any "lightweight" and any heavyweight that we choose to wrestle. We know that three men oppose us. James Gibson, last week I proved that as a "super heavyweight" I really am superior to you in every way. Jimmy Yang, maybe once you wrestled for the World Heavyweight Title on iPPV, and maybe you won a match last week, but your nothing more than a lightweight now and you never will be anything more than that. And as for you Justin Gabriel, you were the biggest disappointment of them all. I thought you had a lot of potential, that you could be a heavyweight star like me, but then last week you proved that your nothing just like the rest of these juniors. None of you will ever be heavyweight stars like us!
James Gibson, Jimmy Yang and Justin Gabriel then head for the ring. Gibson takes the mic.
Gibson: You still don't get it boy. You see this NWA New York Junior Heavyweight Title? This means just as much as the NWA New York Heavyweight Title. And Daniel Bryan's NWA World Junior Heavyweight means just as much as Samoa Joe's NWA World Heavyweight Title. Holding any title in this business is a privilege Paul, something you'll never understand considering all you've ever held is a Tag Team Title!
London looks a tad offended by that, though tries to laugh it off.
Gibson: So here's an idea boy. How about us three versus you three next week on NWA New York TV. If we win then we all get a piece of you in fair one on one singles matches, but if you win then we will admit that you boys are superior.
London: The Texus accepts, and believe me Jamie, its going to be great to hear you say what we already know: that we are better than you!
The Texus leave to boos as Gibson, Yang and Gabriel pose for the fans.
Prazak: I'm looking forward to this one Booker, what a match that's going to be.
Booker: Hell yes dawg, I can't wait to see these six going at it for sure sucka and that London guy can get what he deserves.
Solomon Crowe vs Inspector Truth
A bit of a non-entity this match, all thanks to Crowe's hacker antics. Crowe came down to the ring with an iPad, which he used to hack various things. He began the match by hacking the lights, making them flicker and terrifying Booker T, who though The Undertaker was coming for him again and ran off. Truth tried to put Crowe under arrest for illegal hacking and harassment of Booker T, but Crowe hacked the titantron to show a picture of the one thing that Inspector Truth fears most, spiders! The image causes Truth to panic and run out of the arena shouting "SPIDERS, I HATE SPIDERS", giving Crowe a countout win.
Winner- Solomon Crowe
We get an update on Gregory Helms. Helms is still in a coma following the assault by Brodus Clay several weeks ago, while The Hurricane being a superhero managed to recover from his attack by Brodus Clay very quickly.
The former Dr Thug, John Cena is seen sitting backstage, a look of dejection on his face. He looks to the camera, barely raising a smile, before he goes back to that same almost depressed look and the camera fades out to the ring for our main event.
Street Fight
"Wildcat" Chris Harris vs "Cowboy" James Storm
A wild matchup, and I got the impression from the get go that these two wanted to once and for all end things and decide who the better half of America's Most Wanted was. They utterly beat the hell out of each other from bell to bell, and while they put weapons to use, it was fists that were being used more than anything to bloody one another. The two brawled all around the ringside are and into the crowd at one point, throwing each other into walls and making use of fan's chairs along the way, before bringing it back into the ring. The two had a duel with singapore canes which Harris won, but he couldn't capitalise on this and Storm soon came back, nailing Harris with a sick chair shot to the head! Matt Hardy then charged the ring, attacking Storm from behind and hitting him with a Side Effect onto a trash can. Harris went for the cover, 1-2-NO! Harris and Hardy went for a double assault on Storm, but Colt Cabana ran down for the save and took both down with a Clothesline, before taking Hardy out of the match with a Colt 45! Cabana and Storm then teamed up on Harris, with Storm holding Harris for a chairshot from Cabana. But Harris moved at the last minute AND CABANA HAT STORM! Harris then takes down Cabana with his own chairshot, before grabbing Storm. CATATONIC! 1-2-3,. HARRIS BEATS STORM!
Winner- Chris Harris
Harris celebrates and looks vindicated, though he still has business with Cabana. Storm makes it back to his feet as Harris rests in the corner, and Storm and Cabana begin to argue. Storm shoves Cabana, and Cabana shoves him back. Storm throws a right hand and the two are brawling, THEN CHRIS HARRIS ATTACKS CABANA! Storm and Harris start beating the hell out of Cabana with stomps BEFORE HIGH FIVING! Harris climbs up top as Storm puts Cabana into position, DEATH SENTANCE! Cabana is out AND STORM AND HARRIS EMBRACE! Could this be the return of America's Most Wanted, the former 2 time NWA World Tag Team Champions? It looks like that, and this could be huge, what will they do next week? We will see you then wrestling fans!
