TV champion: Chris Silvio
Women's champion: Heidi Lovelace
Dean Hill, Gilbert Corsey, and Michael Titus welcome viewers to the show. Tonight is the night with the Saturday Night Special coming to Davis Arena, but before that, here today on TV is the return of Nightmare Rumble. 20 wrestlers entering the ring gauntlet style with elimination over the top rope and both feet touching the floor until only 1 man remains. And Dean is excited because we know from last week that Jamin Olivencia will be entering #2, but that's only exciting because Elijah Burke will be entering #1. They have an Ironman match at the SNS, and they will need to show those skills if they are to survive the Nightmare Rumble tonight. Titus calls it a conspiracy and says that Danny Davis has it out for The Pope, but he is going to outsmart them all because this is exactly what he wanted and he is going to embarrass and humiliate Jamin not once, but twice, first in the Nightmare Rumble on TV, and then again at the SNS in the Ironman match. Also today on TV, Timmy Danger has said he is going to call out Rudy Switchblade, plus the #1 contender to the Women's Title is in action when Taeler Hendrix is in action. First up though ...
Mohammad Ali Vaez to announce his partners for the Saturday Night Special!
The former co holder of the Southern Tag Team Title is out and hits the ring. Vaez tells the fans that the streak of The Marauders has reached an all time low as they continue to eradicate the ranks here, and he feels they need to be stopped now. He says that first it was his tag team partner Michael Hayes taken out by them and who knows if he will ever even wrestle again, and then last week it was The Mobile Homers taken out and forced to leave the area forever. He challenged all 3 of them to a 6 man tag team match last week saying that he would find 2 partners and they would be here today on TV, but as everybody can see, he is out here alone ...
Ever the capitalizers on a situation in their favor, out come Shiloh Jonze, The French Stallion & Fabiano Rolento with Bin Hamin leading the way for them. Hamin laughs and tells Vaez that he gave him the chance to make the right choice and join them. Instead now he is outnumbered 3 to 1 and the chance is gone. Rather than allow him to join them, he is going to make sure that Vaez joins his former tag team partner Hayes and ends up on the shelf forever because they are going to be at the SNS, and they will have no mercy in a 3 on 1 assault on him. Vaez tells Hamin that he must have misunderstood. He is alone right now, but he still found 2 tag team partners and they will be at the SNS. Hamin gets upset and wants to know who! Vaez says that not surprisingly, the list of wrestlers wanting a piece of these traitors was a mile long, but 2 at the very top stood out above all else. His partners will be, reuniting for the first time since 2003 ...
THE LORDS OF THE RING, NICK DINSMORE & ROB CONWAY! The Louisville fans in the Davis Arena are electric at that announcement. Vaez has found himself not just any tag team partners, but perhaps the 2 most legendary wrestlers in Ohio Valley history. Hamin and his men are beside themselves as they will have their work cut out for them in this match, clearly not at all what they were expecting.
-- First commercial break --
Match #1
Taeler Hendrix defeats Solo Darling @ 4:57 via pinfall after The Kiss Goodnight, a roundhouse kick to the head of Darling. The Boston Bombshell puts up a strong performance ahead of her challenge of Heidi Lovelace and the Women's Title at the Saturday Night Special. After the match the other 2 Mean Girls entered the ring, Nikki St. John & Scarlett Bordeaux as Taeler told them to hold Solo so that she could send a message to Heidi. Before anything could happen though, Lovelace was out and slid in the ring. Taeler left to the outside as Lovelace & Darling worked together to clear Nikki & Scarlett from the ring. Heidi wanted to go now and not wait until Saturday, but Taeler was reluctant telling her that they do things on her time.
-- Second commercial break --
Before The Nightmare Rumble, the commentators go over the rules. 20 wrestlers with a new combatant entering every 2 minutes to the action. Elimination takes place when a wrestler is thrown over the top rope and both feet touch the floor. The winner is the last man standing. The rest of the broadcast has been set aside for this match. No surprises to start the match given the close of last week's broadcast with the reveal of #1 and #2, but let's get to the ring and let's get things started.
Match #2
The 2014 Nightmare Rumble
The Pope Elijah Burke is out at #1
Jamin Olivencia is out at #2
A heated start to the match with these 2 leaving nothing out there. If they are to win, they will have to survive 18 other wrestlers here in this match, and that means surviving at least 36 more minutes in the ring. Gilbert notes that this could be seen as good preparation for the Ironman match at the Saturday Night Special, but considering the proximity with this being taped on a Wednesday night, it may be too close. Titus again comments that it is all a conspiracy theory working to hold down The Pope, while Dean answers back that both men are in the same situation so Titus' theory is complete bull in his opinion.
Elvis Pridemoore is out at #3
Half of the Ghetto Boys is out as Elvis enters and he immediately joins up with Burke in double teaming Olivencia. Titus has a laugh here as Burke is going to make Jamin look like a fool now. They work over him and Burke tells Elvis to throw him over the top rope after about a minute of working him over. Elvis charges with Jamin to send him over, but Jamin side steps and gets behind Elvis, sending him out and over the top rope, using his own momentum against him. The fans cheer, but Elijah is on this, quickly jumping Olivencia from behind.
The Party Starter Bud Dwight is out at #4
The fans in Davis Arena get up as newcomer Bud Dwight is out, throwing his hands in the air and trying to get them pumped up. As he enters the ring, Burke gives him a look like he is crazy but then plays along. He asks Dwight to demonstrate his moves and the fans are up and raising there arms up, left, then right, then left, then right, and Burke goes along too! Until Dwight turns around and he grabs him and throws him out over the top rope. A short night for Dwight in his TV debut, and Burke is quickly back at Olivencia while Titus has a good laugh at Dwight's expense. Chalk that 1 up to rookie inexperience.
The Pastor of Disaster, Reverend Stuart Miles is out at #5
This gets the fans booing as Miles comes out with the utmost confidence. This could spell trouble for Olivencia as The Pope and The Reverend work together, but with that, it is time for the first commercial break and any eliminations will be shown when we return.
-- Third commercial break --
Back from break and Burke and Miles are still double teaming Burke, but not for much longer.
Robbie Walker is out at #6
Another youngster making his TV debut, Robbie Walker quickly shows where he stands as he tries helping Olivencia. Burke takes a right hand and Miles takes a right hand. Olivencia is eventually up and takes Burke while Walker has Miles on the ropes. Walker backs Miles up into the ropes and then charges him, but Miles ducks down and pulls on the bottom rope, in the process sending Walker flying over to the floor. Olivencia has Burke up against the ropes, but Miles gets up and makes the save, hitting him and going back to the double teaming.
The Marksman Nick Dumeyer is out at #7
Potentially more trouble for Olivencia as Dumeyer enters. Burke tries ordering him around as Miles holds Olivencia and Burke tells Dumeyer to hit him. The fans chant "No, No, No" at Dumeyer but he winds up. Instead though, he hits Burke and gets a surprise pop from the Davis Arena fans. Miles goes over, but Dumeyer drops him with a right. Burke takes a right and Dumeyer is surprisingly cleaning house right now. He then helps up Olivencia, but instead tries throwing him out over the top rope! The fans boo this change of heart, but Olivencia lands on the apron and walks back in. Dumeyer thinks he has pulled off a big elimination, but turns into the O Drop from Jamin as he locks in a bodyscissors and drops him with a DDT. Burke and Miles are getting up, but ...
Paredyse is out at #8
The Reverend's opponent at the Saturday Night Special is out next and quickly goes after Miles. Paredyse has some for Burke too and Olivencia has The Pope while Paredyse takes care of Miles. The wild card Dumeyer tries a fast 1 by jumping Paredyse from behind after recovering from the O Drop moments earlier. He Irish whips him into the corner, but Paredyse jumps up and catches Dumeyer in a headscissors, ramming him into his rear end several times to a big pop from the fans. Dumeyer is dazed as Paredyse grabs him and throws him out, leaving him with Miles and Olivencia to take care of Burke.
Rudo Raul Lamotta is out at #9
Returning to TV after a 2 month absence is Lamotta and he shows his colors, quickly jumping Paredyse. He then jumps Olivencia and the brief pairing of 1 on 1s quickly turns into a 3 on 2 with Lamotta proving to be the difference maker. This continues for the better part of 2 minutes as Dean thinks this will only fuel both Jamin and Paredyse for their 1 on 1s at the SNS, but then out comes ...
EFD, Eddie Diamond is out at #10
The fans cheer as Diamond heads in and tries to take care of all 3 wrestlers. Burke backs off and lets Miles and Lamotta take the brunt of the offense. With Miles down, EFD takes Lamotta and sends him out over the top rope and to the floor. A big pop as Diamond gets an elimination here, but Burke is quick to take advantage of the situation and hit Diamond from behind. Miles joins in and the 2 try throwing him out, but Olivencia makes the save by pulling Burke away and continuing their rivalry in this match. Paredyse is up and it quickly turns into him and Diamond working together to eliminate Miles, but then ...
Deonta Davis is out at #11
Another newcomer, Davis enters and makes the save for Miles. Meanwhile, Burke has had enough and exits the ring through the ropes to take a breather. Olivencia follows as Titus shouts on commentary that he is eliminated! Dean quickly clarifies on this that much like Burke seconds earlier, Jamin went through the ropes and Titus damn well knows that! Olivencia takes Burke on a tour of ringside working him over and then finally Burke meets the ringpost on the floor while Olivencia takes a breather and the 4 wrestlers in the ring continues their brawling.
Aaron Sky is out at #12
Yet another young newcomer as the appropriately named Aaron Sky enters, and at this point the ring is started to fill up. 7 wrestlers. But that is quickly about to change. Thanks to a distraction from Miles' Altar Boy, Paredyse leaves himself open and vulnerable to Miles grabbing him and scooping up over the top rope and dropping him to the floor. Miles is pleased with his work, but does not see Olivencia behind him. Miles turns and takes a big clothesline that sends him out to the floor. Meanwhile Sky has been working over Davis and heads to the top rope, but Burke is up from the floor and shoves Sky off from the side and eliminates him. Davis in the ring bites off more than he can chew and Olivencia ends up eliminating him before dropping down. EFD tries going after Burke, but ends up charging into a back body drop over the top rope and just like that, the match is back to where it started. The fans stand and cheer as Olivencia is against the ropes, Burke is against the ropes.
The Body Guy is out at #13
All that changes though as The Body Guy comes out to booing from the crowd and it is time for another break.
-- Fourth commercial break --
Back from the break and the countdown is on to the next entrant with The Body Guy & Burke taking care of Olivencia.
Rockstar Ryan Howe is out at #14
The fans cheer as Howe runs out and starts laying in with rights to both Burke & The Body Guy. Close call for Burke as Howe takes him and manages to get him up against the ropes, but Body Guy makes the save. Howe starts going to work on Body Guy and even manages to lock him into the Whammy Bar, his Fujiwara Armbar and has Body Guy tapping. No relief in this match though, but Burke is able to kick him in the head from behind. Burke turns and Olivencia is ready, locking in the bodyscissors as he jumps up, but no O Drop as Burke instead drives him into the corner.
The Justin Bieber of Professional Wrestling, Dylan Bostic is out at #15
Bostic quickly hits Howe as he enters the ring with their rivalry nothing to ignore as both together will challenge for the TV Title at the SNS in a 3 way dance. Body Guy starts working with Bostic as the commentators give the quick reminder that these 2 teamed together a few months back and if they can work together the rest of this match, they may survive so that 1 of them can win the Nightmare Rumble. Burke meanwhile sends Olivencia to the ropes but makes the big mistake of putting down his head too soon and Olivencia grabs him by the back of the head, slamming him face first into the mat.
The Psychadelic Superstar Chris Silvio is out at #16
Making the save for Howe, Silvio immediately starts going to work on Bostic. Body Guy does not get out of the way and takes some too. Howe thanks Silvio for that, but when Howe turns his back on him, Silvio grabs him and runs him into the ropes trying to throw him over and to the floor. The ring is filling up now as 6 wrestlers are in the ring with 4 more yet to come. Dean says that from his experience in having seen many of these types of matches, these last numbers are critical and fatigue is definitely setting in for guys like Olivencia & Burke.
The Ultimate Fighter Jay Bradley is out at #17
Complete with Mongo the cut man at his side, Bradley heads out and preps to enter the ring. Mongo holds up his hands as Bradley punches into them while Silvio yells down for him to get in there. Bradley told him to give him a minute because he needs to warm up first. This leaves Silvio open to Bostic jumping him from behind. Bradley continues warming up on the floor as Body Guy kicks away at Olivencia, while Howe has Burke against the ropes. Bostic hits a back cracker on Silvio before picking him up and trying to throw him out.
Big Rob Terry is out at #18
A big pop from the fans as the biggest wrestler in the match heads out and Titus speculates that we could see a Diesel like moment right now. Hill agrees as Terry could clear the ring in seconds here. Instead Terry focuses in on Bradley on the outside to a big pop, who backs away. Terry tells him to get in the ring, but in doing so, ends up distracting himself as The Body Guard is out from the back and jumping Terry from behind. He locks in a bear hug and drives Terry back first into the ringpost. Not once, but backs up and does it a second time! Body Guard rolls Terry in as The Body Guy lifts him up, but ever the muscle man, Terry still has enough that he breaks free, lifts up The Body Guy and press slams him over the top rope, down onto the floor to eliminate him. Terry drops down to 1 knee to recover.
The Body Guard is out at #19
Terry's recovery is non existent as the big Body Guard is in fact announced as the next entrant and immediately jumps on him, already at ringside. He lifts up Terry and dumps him out over the top rope, complete with assistance from the already eliminated Body Guy. He backs off after a warning from the referees, but the damage is done. Terry is eliminated. Body Guy heads to the back, but Terry is not finished. After getting up, he slides back in under the bottom rope and turns The Body Guard into a big lifting spinebuster slam to a big pop. Terry leaves as The Body Guard gets up by the ropes, only to be ousted by Rockstar Ryan Howe. And with that, the countdown is on for #20 ...
Mr. Media Cliff Compton is out at #20
The fans rise and cheer as the big surprise has Compton heading out and entering the ring. 7 wrestlers left and Compton just starts cleaning house on anybody and everybody in the ring. With everybody down in the ring several minutes later, Bostic bites off more than he can chew and Compton takes him and sends him out and over the top rope to the floor. 6 left! Howe hits Compton from behind and backs him up against the ropes, but meets his demise when Silvio comes from behind and lifts the unsuspecting Howe up and over the top rope to the floor. Olivencia and Burke, still in this, and Compton and Silvio pair off. Olivencia finally hits the O Drop on Burke, drilling him with the jumping DDT. He then takes Burke and brings him to the ropes, trying to lift the dead weight over the top rope. Silvio meanwhile sets up for the Rocket Punch, but he misses. As he tries to catch his balance, he turns up against the ropes, only to meet a charging Compton with a clothesline to the floor! Silvio is eliminated, but just as quickly as that happens, Jay Bradley gets in and throws the unsuspecting Compton up and over to the floor. He goes over to Olivencia and Burke who are by the ropes with their backs turned trying to eliminate each other, sends them out and over to the floor. The bell rings!
The Nightmare Rumble is finished and Dean is less than impressed as The Ultimate Fighter himself, Jay Bradley drops to his knees as Mongo rushes in with a towel and a water bottle as if he has just had the fight of his life. Bradley more or less cheats his way into this win by hiding on the floor until the wrestlers in the ring forgot about him, Dean even says hell, he forgot about him for that matter. Titus says all that matters is that you win, not how you do it. Jay Bradley wins the Nightmare Rumble, and in doing so robs Olivencia & Burke after they got the distance entering at #1 and #2 and surviving until the end. Compton is verbally upset and enters the ring wanting to continue this as unlike Olivencia & Burke he can still go, but Bradley & Mongo are out to the floor. A big win, albeit a cheap win, but a win none the less.
-- Fifth commercial break --
Back from break and Dean is still disgusted by what we just saw, while Titus is overly impressed by the skills of Jay Bradley with what he calls quite possibly the most impressive performance in Ohio Valley history. That said, the commentators are ready to go over the lineup for the Saturday Night Special. It is July 5 from Davis Arena and here is the card ...
- Paredyse battles Rev. Stuart Miles in a grudge match that has been building over the last month.
- Handicap match as Big Rob Terry takes on both The Body Guy and his new second, The Body Guard.
- Winner of the Nightmare Rumble, The Ultimate Fighter Jay Bradley has another open challenge for Saturday. Will anybody step up this time around?
- Women's Title is on the line when champion Heidi Lovelace defends against #1 contender Taeler Hendrix.
- 3 way dance for the TV Title as champion Chris Silvio defends against Rockstar Ryan Howe and Dylan Bostic, first fall wins.
- Mohammad Ali Vaez made the announcement earlier, the return of The Lord of The Rings as he teams with Nick Dinsmore & Rob Conway in a 6 man tag team match against Shiloh Jonze, The French Stallion & Fabiano Rolento as they attempt to stop The Marauders.
- Jamin Olivencia and The Pope Elijah Burke settle the score in a 30 minute Ironman match. Whichever wrestler scores the most falls in 30 minutes wins.
- Rudy Switchblade challenges Marcus Anthony for the Southern Title. Few men have pinned Anthony, and Switchblade is 1 of them having done it a few weeks back in a tag team match. Can he do it again, this time for the title?
Timmy Danger is out next, interrupting the rundown of the card. Southern champion Marcus Anthony is at his side. Danger tells everybody to sit down and shut up because he has something important to say right now. What he wants right now is for Rudy Switchblade to come out and enter the ring. He wants him to get out here because he is going to give him the chance right now to save himself from the embarrassment and humiliation, and forfeit the match to Anthony right now. Dean laughs at that saying no way, but Titus thinks it is a great idea. Gilbert meanwhile reminds the fans that this could be Danger running scared because Switchblade defeated Anthony a few weeks back and has been on a roll here in Ohio Valley, defeating everybody put before him. Finally Switchblade comes out with a puzzled look on his face and gets in the ring. Danger tells him not to worry because Anthony won't bite, at least not yet.
Danger tells Switchblade that he needs to face the facts, he got lucky a few weeks ago. The facts are that Marcus Anthony is not Mike Mondo, he is not Elijah Burke, or anybody else that Switchblade has went through the last month. If he goes in there Saturday night, he will not only lose, but get humiliated. He has an offer for him though, and that is to instead join them! Switchblade just gives a look of disbelief at that, but Danger says to wait a minute and hear him out. Think about it. What they can do together is be unstoppable. Anthony is already unstoppable, but with Switchblade at their side, nobody will ever take away the Southern Title and they will control it until the end of time, while Switchblade will reap the rewards. Switchblade seems interested as Dean yells for him not to listen to this con artist. Titus just laughs, giving a trademark YES! as Switchblade wants to hear more. Danger tells him that together they can be Tag Team champions, Switchblade can be TV champion, and he, rather they, will make more money than they could ever dream of. Dean catches that saying that's what it's all about, Danger's wallet getting fatter and fatter. Switchblade nods his head as Dean just says on commentary not to do this. Danger puts out his hand as Switchblade reciprocates. Anthony smirks as Danger laughs. The title match is off as Switchblade joins them! ...
... or not! The fans cheer as Switchblade pulls Danger in through the handshake and drops him to the mat with a Rock Bottom. Anthony quickly goes after Switchblade, but the challenger for Saturday is able to scoop out the champ's legs. With him on his back, Switchblade turns Anthony into a Boston Crab. Anthony is prone and in a possible sign of things to come, ANTHONY TAPS! Anthony taps again and again until Switchblade releases. Anthony and Danger get to the floor as Switchblade stands tall. He seems to have the champion's number here against all odds and from all indications, we could see a new champion crowned at the Saturday Night Special. July 5th, Davis Arena, be there!
