Windy City TV: Fight Night (13/07/14) - episode #27
Where: Evogue Nightclub, 14500 S. Kostner Ave, Chicago, Illinois
When: Sunday 13th July, 2014
Attendance: 1,204
Show starts up with video reels hyping tonight's 2 big matches of Drew McIntrye of NWA United taking on Chris Masters for the NWA Windy City Heavyweight Title in the co-main-event, and then Harry Smith of California Pro Wrestling defending his NWA North American Heavyweight Title against "South of the Border" Mark Jindrak.
We see Masters winning the belt from long-time champ Daniel Puder and then defending the strap against all-comers. Next is "The Future of UK Wrestling" Drew McIntrye defeating Sha Samuels on the latest NWA United Show and a series of his past victims is put away with the Future Shock DDT right before our very eyes, showing the extreme potential of Drew McIntrye.
As the music video starts to reach it's climax...we see Mark Jindraks boasts that he is the king of Mexico and all things south of the border and his claims that now, it's his time to come of age in North America and fulfil his promise and become the King of all the Americas!
The first battle Mark Jindrak and Harry Smith had at the NWA Supershow, Spring Stampede and how razor close that was as Smith retained, just, barely is showcased.
The Mark My Words promo Mark Jindrak cut recently in phased in before a highlight reel of "The Pitbull" Harry Smith defending his title against top talent from around the NWA rolls...including a recent defence against AJ Styles in CPW in which Jindrak got involved with the two having a massive pull apart brawl...Finally, Harry Smith's My time to shine promo plays as he seemingly disses any chance at all that Jindrak has to win tonight.
It's time....It's time...for Fight Night!!!
****Show stars with So Cal Val in the ring, looking very sultry secretary stylee, with a tight black dress and thick rimmed specs, and of course the ever present ear-piece - her direct link up to the "Powers That Be"***
Val welcomes everybody to Fight Night! She announces that tonight is a HUGE night as not only will both the NWA North American Heavyweight Title and the NWA Windy City Title be on the line...BUT she can excluisevly reveal that on the very next Fight Night next month.... the NWA Windy City Tag Team Titles would be on the line as the team of Gaydar, one "Rock Hard" Dick Ryder and Jeffery "Ohhh-La-La" Flockhart have been granted their request for a match at the titles after they won a #1 contenders match on the last Fight Night - and their title match against the tag team champions The Only Way Is Beards, Mike Knoxx & T-Bone, is now signed, sealed and scheduled!
1. The Little Hitlers (Crash Test Dummy & Rockstar Spud) w/several jobber goons def. The Band (Kevin Nash & Sean Waltman)
~Rockstar Spud hits a somewhat tired and energy sapped looking Sean Waltman with the Rockstar Stunner from out of nowhere in a match in which Nash was dominating it for his team bashing about CTD and Spud for fun and kicks before he tagged out to Sean Waltman.
Paul Heyman who was down at ringside scouting the match once again, leaned through the ropes and laughing and taunted Waltman, telling him 'whats wrong, did you forget to take your vitamins?!'
Nash is not impressed, infact he is seriously pissed off that his pal cost him the match against Crash Test Dummy. Nash once again on the losing end against a guy like Dummy???... A guy like dummy with his stupid morph suit and stupid crown that he wears on his head these days...he can't take it anymore and snaps. Nash drags up his so called buddy with his scraggy hair and blasts him with a huge Jacknife Powerbomb right in the middle on the ring with Waltman taking a rough landing on his spine. Nash grabs the mike and yells at Waltman "that one was for your own good Kid."
*The commentators speculate that Waltman has been very inconsistent recently, sometimes performing on a world class level and others very much below par. They come to the conculsion that Nash may be right, and if Waltman can't keep a consistent level of performance, at his age...maybe he should quit his year long quest to earn major gold and retire from the sport of Kings.

Back to the ring and So Cal Val announces that we would have an 8 Man Battle Royal take place next...and the winner would earn an NWA North American Heavyweight Title shot against the winner of tonight's main-event, Smith/Jindrak II.
This battle royal won't be rounded out with any fluff and filler though, it will be be 8 of the very top stars in Windy City and we will see the in-ring debuts of some new recent signings for WCPW as Bobby Roode, Luke Harper and the Uhaa Nation will be competing in their debuts for the company!
2. 8-Man Battle Royal for an NWA North American Heavyweight Title Shot!
Kevin Steen vs "The Only Star" Daniel Puder vs Jack Swagger vs Bully Ray vs Bobby Roode vs Luke Harper vs Kris Travis vs Uhaa Nation
~The match started with Jack Swagger and Kris Travis going back and forth before eliminating each other as their long feud continues to become more and more competative. Suddenly Swagger isn't having it all his own way any more against Kris Travis!
But then suddenly Roode, Puder and Bully Ray would put together a seemingly pre arranged plan as they actually teamed up to eliminate all the other guys in this match one by one until it was down to Puder, Roode and Bully Ray against a lone wolf in Kevin Steen.
Steen battled hard and managed to eliminate Bobby Roode, but his success was short lived as Bully Ray and Daniel Puder managed to double team Kevin Steen and eliminate him. Bully Ray and Daniel Puder then both stared at each other for absolutely ages, contemplating double crossing each other - they looked like they might actually go to war with their competative spirit running wild. Suddenly though, the two men cagely shook hands... then stepped through the ropes and out to the ring apron on the outside and then ....after some thought, consideration and stalling from both men.... both dropped to their feet at the exact same time.
Winners: Both Daniel Puder and Bully Ray was declared joint-winners. What that means for the title shot we are unsure right now!
*Backstage, "Rock Hard" Dick Ryder with a smary grin etched on his face walks down the corridor of the locker rooms. He stops in disgust and waits for Jeffery "Ohhh-La-La" Flockhart to catch up with him by his side. Ryder pulls out his trouser pocket inside out and motions for Flockhart to hold onto it. Flockhart looks pleased to be offered his pocket and grabs ahold with a big smile. Ryder walks towards the locker room of The Only Way is Beards with Flockhart tagging behind holding onto his pocket and enters the room.
Ryder and Flockhart find "The Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart alone in the room. His charges T-Bone and Mike Knoxx, nowhere to be seen. Jimmy Hart looks very worried as Ryder does a sinister smirk and we come back to ringside for the co-main...*
3. Co-Main-Event: NWA Windy City Heavyweight Title
"The Masterpiece" Chris Masters [c] vs "The Future of UK Wrestling" Drew McIntrye
~Great iPPV calibre match between Chris Masters and Drew McIntrye in the co-main event as both men proved what good workers they are for their size. McIntrye started off very strong and seemed to shock Masters with just how good he really is. Chicago favourite Masters dug down deep, deeper than he expected he would have to in this match as surely Masters would have thought he'd be back in his locker room with the title around his waist within 10 minutes or so.
But the match went on much longer than Masters or anyone else expected as McIntrye and Masters really pushed out all the stops... on the 19 minute mark Masters nailed McIntrye with a big running powerslam but he clipped the ref with Drew's feet as he spun. Masters made the cover and self-counted 1-2-3 but the ref was down, Masters it seems could have had it won here.
Masters went to check on the ref after a little while but a tired Drew was up near the ropes, holding onto the top rope to keep him up but waiting....Masters turned around... Future Shock DDT! Masters took a bump right through the ring ropes and to the outside while McIntrye collasped to the canvas, spent and exhausted.
After a count of 7, Masters tried to make it onto his feet on the outside, but he was really strugglig and on the the count of 9 he stumbled and dropped back down not able to get up and was counted out!
Chris Masters had retained his title sure enough, but there was no escaping, he had been beaten here tonight by Drew McIntrye!
Winner: "The Future of UK Wrestling" Drew McIntrye by Countout in an around 20 minute match.
4. Main-Event: NWA North American Heavyweight Championship Match
"The Pitbull" Harry Smith [c] vs Mark Jindrak
After all the hype, it was time for the main-event. Jindrak the challenger came out first to loud cheers and chants, the Chicago fans cheering the heel here because he's their Windy City guy going for NWA gold.
Harry Smith made his entrance and was met with a loud chorus of boo's. Smith very much was in enemy territory here tonight.
Jindrak using all the energy from the crowd (a crowd who still conider themselves as somewhat outsiders and anti-NWA to some degree) - but still using his under-hand and cheating ways, took the early advantage as he used a quickend pace. Jindrak ploughed through a series of almost high-flyer esque moves as he hit Planchas, rolling thunders and a big standing dropkick for an almost three count. The Pitbull came back into it teniously and fired home a rappid series of punches, lariats and suplex's.
Smith and Jindrak then went toe to toe, as they battled tough and nail in a real knock-down-drag-out. Smith would hit a DDT onto a chair he brought into the ring for a very close fall when Jindrak got his foot on the bottom rope. But the chair would come back to haunt Smith as Jindrak hit a Mark of Excellence on Smith right onto the same chair. Mark made the cover but amazingly Harry Smith kicked out at 2 & 99/100ths....
Jindrak - fired up - scaled the top rope. A wobbly Harry Smith somehow made it back to his feet...standing missile dropkick off the top rope! Huge move for a man of Jindraks size! Jindrak scrambles, he reaches over and makes the cover....1....2.............3!!!!! 3???
Smith's arm somehow was up???
But no, the referee confirms it as he signals for the bell to be rung. The match is over.
So Cal Val listens to the ref and announces that the winner and NEEEEWWWWWWWW NWA North American Heavyweight Champion.....Maaaaark Jiiiiiiinraaaak!
*The rabbid Chicago fans go absolutely crazy, for the first time in NWA Windy City history - a Windy City guy has won NWA Gold!!!!!
Winner: New NWA North American Heavyweight Champion: Mark Jindrak in around 15 minutes.
*Harry Smith is argueing and protesting bitterly with the referee over his call. He thought his arm was up! But his complaints fall on deaf ears as Mark Jindrak is presented with the belt! Jindraks celebrates! Mark Jindrak - has finally fulfilled his promise north of the border....Mark Jindrak - the new champion of North America!
