PRESENTS LIVE ON USTREAM PAY-PER-VIEW
ON JULY 16TH, 2014
FROM PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA
The show begins with play-by-play man Todd Gillman and his partner, color commentator Ryan Sterling, standing in the ring here to a sold out crowd here in Philadelphia. The crowd are buzzing here, different chants popping up sporatically as they wait in anticipation of some of the greatest action you can find anywhere. Gillman welcomes the fans, leading into Sterling saying just how excited they are to be here and how excited they are to introduce the man who had a huge hand in bringing Liberty Pro Wrestling to Pennsylvania... none other than the Olympic Gold Medalist himself, KURT ANGLE!
"Lunatic Fringe" hits the speakers and out comes the Pittsburgh native to a round of mostly cheers, though there are always some who just have to be contrary and they are making themselves known tonight. Angle takes the mic, sending the commentary team to their post as he begins.
"I gotta say, this is freakin' UNREAL... you fans here tonight, you make this business the greatest thing there is on the planet and I speak for every single one of the workers back there, all of the staff, everybody when I say thank you, from the bottom of my heart, and welcome to 'Summer freakin' Reign'! Oh, it's here, baby, and we're live and we're loud and we're ready kick some butt!"
The fans give a pretty positive response to all of this, but most are ready to get this show on the road.
"I just want to say that we couldn't be happier to be here in Philly, getting this new era kicked off in the first official show under this new banner of ours, Liberty Pro Wrestling, and I just want to speak on that for a second before we begin.
"This is America, ladies and gentlemen, and here in America, we are promised freedom and we are promised liberty, but what does that mean? That means in this society, no matter what we look like, what language we speak, what we believe, who we pray to, or how we choose to spend our time or hard earned American dollars, it doesn't matter, because we are free to do and say what we want, and nobody can hold us back! And that's we represent tonight, because you might not like every guy on this roster, every lady in that ring, everything I've gotta say or some of what goes on here, but you'd better damn sure respect it, because we're not going anywhere, oh IT'S TRUE, IT'S DAMN TRUE!
"So tonight, we have a plan and we're gonna let anybody stop us... tonight, we're gonna blow the roof off this damn building, we're gonna shake the foundation of this building, and we're going to make an impact that is heard all around the world, and tonight, everyone is going to know who the Hell Liberty Pro Wrestling is and that wrestling here in the East is back and we're here for good! Now let's get this damn show on the road, WHOO!"
Angle takes a spin in the center of the ring, soaking in the loud and passionate cheers and chants of these fans as they are ready to see some action!
TAG TEAM MATCH
Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe defeat B-Boy & Homicide. "The Strong Style Thugs" recently reunited in a winning effort against the Crist brothers to earn this match, while the Briscoes had to overcome North American Tag Team title hopefuls Cage & Konley. This was a perfect way to kick this show off, as these two teams helped this hot crowd blow off some steam with a wild and crazy back and forth brawl of a match, which saw both teams dig deep into their arsenals to try and put an end to this. Mark would end up blocking an Elevated Ace Crusher from the buckles to the outside from Homicide, reversing it into a Swinging DDT that sent both men crashing to the floor to leave Jay and B-Boy on the inside alone. Jay would manage to duck an attempted Shining Wizard from B-Boy, catching him with a Discus Lariat and then following up with his J-Driller to get the pinfall victory!
After the match someone jumped the guard rail from the crowd and into the ring came EDDIE KINGSTON! We have not seen "The Last of a Dying Breed" here in Liberty Pro, but he made his presence felt on this night, blasting Jay Briscoe with his vicious Backfist to the Future, following up by diving through the ropes and taking out Mark Briscoe, then helping up Homicide and pulling B-Boy out of the ring. This obviously makes the "Strong Style Thugs" a three man unit now, and they just a little more insane and dangerous with the maniacal Kingston in the fold. One has to think the Briscoes will want some retribution for this, however.
SINGLES MATCH
Cheerleader Melissa defeats Sara Del Rey. "The Female Terminator" and "The Queen of Wrestling" have been embroiled in a back and forth feud for years now, and it really felt like the culmination here, as these two ladies put it all on the line for these die-hard Philly fans. The fans had some of their bloodlust satiated by the last contest, so they were able to really tune in and appreciate the excellence that is the technique of these two very well traveled and world class athletes, both wanting nothing more than to get an opportunity of fulfilling their dreams of becoming World Women's champion.
Del Rey would work over the neck and left shoulder of Melissa while Melissa would work over the back of Del Rey, both looking to end things with their signature submission holds. Del Rey would lock on her LeBell Lock on two occasions, while Melissa would only successfully put on her Kondo Clutch once, but neither could find a road to victory by these means. In the end, Melissa would hit a second Air Raid Crash, which Del Rey would kick out of, only to immediately pull up the exhausted Del Rey and plant her with the Kudo Driver to put her down and secure the victory!
Del Rey would make her way to her feet and Melissa would look her in the eyes, shaking her head and miming a championship around her waist. She can be heard saying, "You can call yourself a queen, but I am going to be champion!" Del Rey leaves deflated and obviously frustrated after failing to pick up another big and important win. Now the winner of AJ Lee and Sarah Stock had Cheerleader Melissa to look forward to, and that can't be very reassuring.
The song "We Fly High" plays and out to the ring wearing a blue suit and carrying the a championship over his shoulder is none other than the newly crowned North American Heavyweight champion, Mark Jindrak. Jindrak is receiving some very mixed reactions here, mostly negative, but he tries to smile and brush it off. Jindrak gets in the ring and accepts a microphone.
"Alright, alright. So, tonight, you all were expecting to see Harry Smith take on some guy, uh... what's his name?"
"KILL DICKIE KILL! KILL DICKIE KILL!" is being chanted loud and clear in support of his challenger for the night, Chris Dickinson. Jindrak just smirks, taking that in and nodding a bit.
"Oh yeah, that's right. Chris Dickinson. Well, I'm sorry I disappointed you all, but... oh, wait... I'm not. Screw you people."
The fans really start to tear into Jindrak now, and now he really seems to be having fun.
"No, no, no. It's my time now, and it's been a long time coming. I came from this place you might have heard of, it was kind of a big deal, unlike some promotions that used to run in this area... and current promotions who run here. I came up in the greatest promotion that ever existed, W-C-W!"
You can imagine the nasty chants this riles up from this Philly crowd at the mere mention of WCW here in the former ECW territory, where many former ECW fans have come to see action anything but the likes of which used to be shown on the Superstation or TNT on a weekly basis.
"And unfortunately, very sadly... heartbreakingly... that federation shut down before I had the chance to claim my rightful place on top of the mountain. That promotion fell before I could ever reach the top, and now I've had to scratch and claw my way up. Now, finally, I've got something to show for my years of work and I'm not going to let you people ruin it for me! And I sure as Hell am not going to let a low-class nobody like Dickinson take my moment!"
The fans continue to jeer Jindrak until they begin to cheer loudly and the chants for Dickinson begins as "The Diplomat" hits the speakers and out walks the "Original Death Machine"! Chris Dickinson is in the building, and he looks murderous with a mic in hand, wearing a hoodie and his ring gear.
"Two years ago... two long fuckin' years ago, Jindrak. You see, a lot of people don't know our history, Hell, maybe you don't even remember. It was 2012, and it was Cleveland, that shithole fuckin' lake town where dreams go to die. That's why you and I were there, because our dreams were about as good as dead. I was just coming back from a leg injury I thought ended my career... your career was just in a shitty fuckin' slump, where it should have stayed.
"NWA Attitude it was called, and from day one you were supposed to be their poster boy. Week after week they booked you at top billing against cupcake opponents, and week after week you'd phone it in, get the win, then cash in on your name and your time in the 'GLORIOUS' WCW, where you were less than a nobody. But everybody knew who the real star was... everybody knew who the fans really came to see. Everybody knew it was the Chris Dickinson show, and you were just renting a top floor apartment in the damn house I built! Well you couldn't take it, and you tucked tail and left, went down to Mexico and probably soaked away any memory of Cleveland with a nice, hearty cocktail of cheap tequila, Vicodin, and loose whores, just trying to feel like a big man, just trying to remember what it was like to be a star.
"Well you weren't a star then, and you sure as Hell ain't a fuckin' star now, Marky Mark, and tonight, I'm going to drop you on that big head of yours until it sinks in or you die. Either way, I'm taking your belt, bitch!"
The fans start chanting for Dickinson and mocking Jindrak, and Jindrak looks a little more serious now, clutching his title tight.
"That's tough talk, Dickinson, but here's the thing. You want to talk about stars, or rather, those who never were a star? You had title opportunity after title opportunity, and you never won. You couldn't pin that paper champion Matthews shoulders to the mat when it counted, but you love to brag about that one time you did pin them when it didn't. Well, guess what? You see this? You see this belt? I pinned a champion to win this, something you've never done, and tonight... that's not going to change, but maybe this time, after I beat the living Hell out of you, it'll be you who packs their bags. Hell, you come down here and I'll do this whole business a favor and take you out right now, screw waiting for later!"
Dickinson doesn't need to hear anymore and he charges the ring, but Jindrak apparently rethinks this and slides out as he is sliding in, jogging up the ramp and turning with his mic in his hand. He smiles, and gets the last word.
"No, on second thought, I've got class, Dickinson, something you've never heard of. I don't fight for free, and I certainly didn't come to this dirty armpit town to not get paid. I'll see you in the main event."
Dickinson just shakes his head, obviously ready to go right now but Jindrak has gotten the upper hand here with his mind games. These fans are super pumped now for this big time main event for the North American title!
#1 CONTENDER TOURNAMENT FOR THE LIBERTY PRO X DIVISION TITLE
LADDER MATCH
LADDER MATCH
Matt Tremont defeats MASADA. This was a very old school take on the ladder match concept, as these two weren't scrambling to get up the ladder. Instead, they showed why the X Division of Liberty Pro is unlike any other title out there right now, beating the ever loving crap out of one another with anything and everything that wasn't nailed down, battling all over the arena, and smashing each other through and with many objects. The most nasty spot was MASADA pulling a pane of glass from under the ring and after a struggle smashing Tremont through it with a Death Valley Driver off the apron, injuring himself in the process and garnering "Holy Shit!" chants from the approving masses. After all was said and done, "The Bulldozer" would manage to take out the "Ultraviolent Beast" with a Package Piledriver through a table, allowing him enough time to slowly make his way up the ladder and retrieve the briefcase holding his contract for a future X Division title match! Either Delirious or Kid Kash will most certainly have their hands full with this madman, as it seems there is nothing that will be able to stop him on his quest for gold!
LIBERTY PRO TAG TEAM TITLE TOURNAMENT FINAL
TAG TEAM MATCH
TAG TEAM MATCH
Roderick Strong & Biff Busick defeat Anthony Nese & Bobby Fish to win the championships. Nese and Fish were really hot early on, hitting a number of sequenced and well coordinated moves to earn near falls, but Strong and Busick showed their meddle in surviving the onslaught and persevering. Strong would get the hot tag from Busick, who took the brunt of the punishment, and would catch his opponents with high knees, chops, and then he would deliver a Sick Kick to Nese for a close two count. The match would finally come to a close when Fish would attempt his Double Jump Moonsault on Busick, who rolled out of the way. Fish would land on his feet but would get caught in a Half Nelson by Strong and drilled with a Backbreaker, followed by Roderick locking on his Strong Hold! Busick would manage to rush and fly through the ropes, crashing into Nese with a Suicide Dive Elbow Strike, and Fish would have no choice but to tap!
After the match, Nese would try to help up Fish, but Fish would shove him away and deliver a big Spinning Roundhouse Kick! And that seems to have effectively ended that team, as Fish walks out to a mostly negative reaction from this Philly crowd.
SINGLES MATCH
Seth Rollins defeats Austin Aries. These two have had a couple of run ins lately, the last of which ended with Rollins stomping Aries head onto steel chair as he proclaimed the era of the "Forever Fallen" faction he is now a part of. Rollins then challenged Aries to a one-on-one match with no accompanying parties, and Aries was quick to accept once he was coherent. The fans here were solidly behind the "A Double" here and the Milwaukee native seemed to be incensed, coming at Rollins with everything he had right out of the gate and making the Iowan have to retreat early on to rethink his strategy.
On the outside Aries would come at Rollins aggressive again, but Rollins would manage to make his first significant move of the match, blocking perhaps a Brainbuster from Aries off the apron and then lifting him on his shoulders, jumping off and planting Aries on the apron with an F-5 variation to get this crowd going! Rollins would keep the pressure on Aries from here, only to find out his will is very hard to break. Aries would manage to reverse a Curb Stomp attempt from Rollins later, rolling and dropkicking his leg out from under him and then locking on a Last Chancery! Rollins would manage to get to the ropes, showing his own grit.
Aries would mount a heavy barrage and nail a high speed Dropkick in the corner, following up with a Brainbuster that many thought would end it, but Rollins somehow managed to kick out! Aries would hurry, heading up top and going for his 450 Splash, only to get caught. Rollins would pull Aries from the turnbuckle and swing him around, running and planting him in the corner with a Buckle Bomb! Rollins would then run off the ropes and hit a Sling Blade, following up with a cover for a two count. Rollins would then attempt a Springboard Knee, but Aries would avoid it and hit a German Suplex, followed by another Last Chancery attempt, only to have it reversed by a desperate Rollins, who spins and lifts Aries up, wanting to get off the mat with the gifted grappler.
Aries and Rollins would exchange blows in the center of the ring, leading Aries to try for a Rolling Elbow, only to have it ducked and get caught with a Back Suplex, but Aries lands on his feet, trying for another German Suplex perhaps, but Rollins breaks free, kicking out Aries leg and then planting a Superkick to his temple! Aries is dazed and is on all fours, nearly out of it, and then he was knocked completely out thanks to a Curb Stomp from Rollins, signalling the end as the fans cheered for both men and their tremendous effort tonight!
Rollins gets on the microphone after the match as Aries rolls out, dazed and defeated.
"No crutches, no tricks... nothing but my own heart and determination. You see, I am not evil, my cause is not unjust. I may not do everything you like, I may take extreme measures, but in the end, I am doing what it takes to win a war. Collateral damage, casualties... they are all necessary. Everything we do... the Forever Fallen are NECESSARY and we will change things, both intellectually... and by force, and there is no one who can stop us! YOU ARE EITHER ONE OF US... OR YOU ARE AGAINST US! And you just saw what happens to those who are against us, so I'd say you all better fall in line with the Fallen."
Rollins throws down his mic as the fans give him a positive reaction now, and he heads back to the back.

SINGLES MATCH
Delirious (c) defeats Kid Kash to retain his championship. Another member of this "Forever Fallen" faction makes his way out now in Delirious, and like Rollins, he is alone for this event. Kid Kash holds a victory over Delirious, while Delirious only holds one very tainted victory over Kash, and that was the three way victory Delirious won the X Division championship in that Jimmy Jacobs practically handed him. Kash was very aggressive here, wanting to get the championship back that he feels, and rightfully so, was stolen from him, but Delirious proved to be far from a slouch tonight, putting on the best performance we have seen from him since he debuted here in Liberty Pro.
Delirious and Kash didn't have a very long match here, but it was very action packed as Delirious, while still showing many quirks and still yelling jibberish at the fans from time to time, was more focused than we have seen and showed his technical abilities in fighting off the very wily veteran Kash. Kash would look to win the match by delivering a big Powerbomb and then hitting a high impact Moonsault, but Delirious would manage to kick out at two. He was unable to land his Double Underhook Piledriver, but would hit the Dead Level Brainbuster, also making everyone think he had the match won, but he still couldn't get it. It would be Delirious who would finally hit the Double Underhook Piledriver, and that would be enough to keep Kash down to retain his championship! The fans would give Delirious a good ovation here as he now looks down the barrel of facing "The Bulldozer" Matt Tremont here in the near future.

SINGLES MATCH
BJ Whitmer defeats Rene Dupree (c) w/ KENTA by disqualification. Whitmer seemed primed and ready to win the belt here, and he really should have, but Dupree would manage to get himself disqualified before he could lose the belt. Dupree would look good in the early going, landing many chops and European Uppercuts to the Kentucky native, rocking "The Buzzsaw" and then punishing him on the mat with various holds. Whitmer would use the energy of the crowd to rally back and land some even bigger chops than Dupree laid on him, and then took him to the outside. KENTA would try to get involved out there, but the referee would stop it. This opened up Whitmer for cheap shots many times throughout this match. Whitmer would manage to overcome all of that and would reverse a Death Valley Driver attempt from Dupree, landing a massive Lariat that nearly won him the belt. From there, Dupree gave KENTA a signal and KENTA made his way in and rushed Whitmer, blasting him with a Single Leg High Knee to take him out as the referee called for the bell and these fans booed so loud the roof started to shake!
Dupree would hurry and grab his championship, pulling KENTA along when Kurt Angle made his way out to the ramp and the fans began to cheer.
"Dupree, you French son of a bitch... HOW DARE YOU pull this crap on our first major show, on live streaming Pay-Per-View. You think I'm going to let you get away with this? Well you're wrong, YOU'RE DEAD WRONG! KENTA, I don't know how to say get the Hell out in Japanese, so I'll just have to say it in AMERICAN... GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!"
These fans cheer for this nearly nonsensical rant from Angle here, who is about to blow a "freakin'" blood vessel in his neck.
"And you, pretty boy, you get back in there, cause this match is re-starting, PRONTO!"
Rene can be heard yelling, "Are you serious!?"
"OH, I'M SERIOUS, BUSTER! I'M DAMN SERIOUS! RING THE FREAKIN' BELL!"
BJ Whitmer defeats Rene Dupree (c) to win the championship. BJ gives chase to Rene around the ring momentarily until Rene slides back in. Rene has the upperhand for just a moment until BJ manages to catch him with a Reverse STO, rolling and then locking on his deadly Peruvian Neck-tie! Rene can't escape this, and with no assistance, he has no choice but to tap out! The fans go absolutely crazy as BJ Whitmer holds up his hard earned championship!
BJ holds up his championship in the corner as the fans chant derogatory comments at Dupree, including, "DON'T COME BACK!" Rene leaves with his head hung in shame, realizing he has been bested and embarrassed here after trying a very cowardly trick to keep his title. Liberty Pro can now celebrate having a champion with honor in BJ Whitmer!

SINGLES MATCH
AJ Lee (c) defeats Sarah Stock to retain her championship. AJ Lee and Sarah Stock didn't have a long, drawn out match here, but instead put on a very fast, very exciting match that had these fans on their feet nearly the whole time. Lee was on top of her game here, and "The Dark Angel" never looked better, pushing Lee to perhaps her greatest performance yet as these traded lucha libre inspired spots and tried to pin each other down any way they could or make one another tap with mind bending, bone breaking contortion inspired holds. Lee would finally manage to lock on her Black Widow submission, and Stock was unable to escape despite her best efforts. Lee would scream out with intensity as Stock finally had to admit defeat, but both women earned the respect of this crowd here tonight. Now Lee has to try and do the same thing to the red hot "Female Terminator" Cheerleader Melissa in the near future, but for tonight, she can be proud of a very impressive title defense.
NWA NORTH AMERICAN HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE
SINGLES MATCH
SINGLES MATCH
Mark Jindrak (c) and Chris Dickinson wrestle to a time limit draw. Jindrak would manage to get the upper hand early on, rocking Dickinson with a series of left hands and chokes as this volatile crowd laid into him and chanted for his demise. Dickinson would manage to make a comeback on the outside, catching Jindrak with a high kick across the face as Jindrak was jaw jacking with the crowd. Dickinson would brutalize Jindrak after rocking him on the outside, laying into him with stiff kicks and chops before blasting him with mounted elbows and knees, really trying to hurt him a demoralize him. Jindrak would manage to catch Dickinson with a boot as he was charging into the corner, following up with a Springboard Body Block, but only earned a two count. Dickinson would battle back with a big Northern Lights Suplex, but also got a two count. In the end, after Dickinson managed to reverse his attempts at hitting the Mark of Excellence and after Dickinson sent him flying to the outside when he went to the top rope, further damaging him at ringside, Jindrak would simply play it safe, getting to the ropes and surviving until the thirty minute time limit expired.
The fans would boo and jeer, very unhappily until out to the ring ran none other than ADAM COLE carrying a steel chair, which he used to bash Dickinson from behind and catch Jindrak to the ribs, followed by a blow to the back! The fans are very loud here, mostly cheering, as Cole hurries and gets up on the middle turnbuckle before jumping off and then catching Jindrak with the Panama Sunrise! Jindrak is a big guy to get over with that move, but Cole nails it perfectly and these fans are now really behind "The One"!
On the outside is none other than "The Trouble King" Steve Corino! Corino has a microphone, and he looks ready to speak after applauding Cole's actions.
"Ladies and gentlemen, take it in, because you've seen the rest, now you've got the best! Give a warm round of applause to the TRUE future of this business, 'The One' ADAM COLE!"
A lot of fans oblige Corino on this, while some decide to jeer the smug Corino and Cole.
"Harry Smith, Mark Jindrak, Chris Dickinson... nobodies fighting over worthless tin and pleather. It's the man that makes the belt, and you're looking at the man standing in that ring right now, and he will be the next North American Heavyweight champion!"
Cole steps out of the ring and shakes hands with Corino before the two make their way to the back and the show comes to a close.
