The show opens with Magnus in the ring with a microphone in hand, he's livid after being double crossed last show by Dean Ayass and Johnny Moss. Magnus demands that Moss come out or he's going to head to the back, find him and drag him to the ring! This eventually draws out the holder of the UK Crown, Johnny Moss as Dean tries to usher him to the back. Magnus demands a match for the crown tonight! Before Moss can answer out comes Wade Barrett who was screwed over by both Moss and Magnus for the crown and also wants a piece of both men. The NWA President Dustin Smith comes out to sort the chaos announcing that tonight in the main event Magnus and Wade Barrett would battle for the #1 contendership! The winner of the match will face off against Moss for the crown at X. Dustin would finish by giving Moss the advice to always watch his back ALWAYS! Moss would look confused before turned around and getting blasted with another spear from Kincaide! Kincaide would tell all three men that no matter who comes away with the crown, he'd be coming for them soon enough!
This was the debut of Prince Nana's Embassy here in NWA UK, and his new client is an absolute beast! Tommy End tried to fight his heart out but Rusev would cream him with a leaping kick before applying a spine breaking camel clutch forcing Tommy End to submit!
Mark Haskins has developed quite a strange attitude looking like a sleazy rockstar as he came into this match against the ultra serious CJ Banks. The match would become a back and forth affair with Haskins creeping out Banks a few times with moves that goldust could get behind! The display was enough to leave Banks open to a superkick that took him off his feet long enough for Haskins to hit his mark with a shooting star press!
Zack Sabre Jr is in the building and he's walking through the halls in the back until a slow clap stops him in his tracks. It's his former tag team partner Marty Scurll, who mockingly congratulates Sabre on his losing effort at the Bash against the other Pistols. This drew out the anger of Sabre as former allies came to blows! Staff had to rush in and break the men apart as this rivalry starts to really heat up.
The Manchester Fight Club is comprised of two very tough men, but they were against a team with uncanny speed and power. The assault came from all sides as Rampage Brown drilled Williams with a farooq style spinebuster while Cameron put out Gallagher's lights with a full slam dropping the back of Gallaghers head over his knee on the way down!
Play by play announcer David Bradshaw would announce that at X it would be Marty Scurll vs. Zack Sabre Jr!
These two men are brutes and this was a slugfest! Samuels and Sheamus would light each other up with chops and punches, things that would bring a normal man to his knees! Sheamus would thread Samuels through the ropes bashing him repeatedly in the chest with clubbing blows! Samuels would come back with his sleeper hold trying to whip Sheamus around but the Celtic Warrior isn't just anyone as he fought back eventually trying for a Brouge kick! Samuels would duck the kick and respond with a kartel kick for a near fall! Sha would pull up Sheamus trying again for his pitbull sleeper but Sheamus would wriggle free hitting the celtic cross backbreaker! Samuels wouldn't see the second brouge kick coming as Sheamus made Sha look up at the lights for a 3 count and then some!
Barrett had to much anger coming into this match, wanting to punish Magnus and go on and get revenge on Moss! This allowed Magnus to leverage his anger against him as Barrett left himself open for the Bounty Hunter. The winner of this match is going to get a shot at the crown and Moss has made himself even more of a marked men by screwing over both of these men in the ring. Barrett would literally fight his way back using his bare knuckle boxing background to stagger Magnus with hard punches! Barrett would attempt for wasteland but Magnus would slip free trying to hit his rolling neckbreaker but Barrett would fight free as well. The bull hammer elbow was a miss as Magnus dodged that bullet! Magnus would go back on the assault trying to wear down Barrett wanting to get an easier shot at putting the match away but Barrett is just so tough and his knock out punch can come out of nowhere, which it did in this one. Barrett was stunned that his violent right didn't score him the win, but tried to fight on, only to get caught with the rolling neckbreaker that saw Magnus get a near fall! The crowd was even stunned in this one as both men laid everything on the line! The Bull Hammer elbow finally hit it's mark and nearly turned Magnus inside out! Barrett would push his elbow into the face of Magnus holding him down for the three count and a chance at the crown at X!
