CS:" Welcome everybody to Fighting Spirit, I'm your host Chris Shore. We have a good show today. We will see the T.V. Debut of The Southern Savior John Skylar, also Semi-Finals for U.S. Title tournament Cedric Alexander Vs The King Of Sleaze Joey Ryan. Fresh off becoming the true North American Tag Team Champions the Pistols will be here.


Match#1

The Southern Savior John Skylar W/ The Southern Sweetheart Chasity Taylor Vs Jason Jordan

Jordan starts off quick hitting a drop kick right when the bell rang. Skylar gets out of the ring to collect his thoughts . Jason goes after him chasing him around the ring. John hid behind Taylor causing Jason to step back. Skylar goes over Taylor head hitting him with a left hand. Skylar then throws Jason in the ring. He then goes on the attack kicking and chopping Jordan all over the ring. He Irish whips Jason to the ropes, and then hits a spine buster. Skylar picks Jason up by his head, then he hits the Saving Grace DDT for the Win. the Winner of the match The Southern Savior John Skylar. After the match he grab the mic.

JS:" You see Mid Atlantic what the Southern Savior can do when you give him screen time. You are looking at the biggest star you got. Along with Country Jakked and my Girl here Southern Death will be the biggest faction in Mid Atlantic." He picks up Jason again hits the The Saving Grace.

Match# 2

Trevor Lee & Jaxson James W/ Tessa Blanchard Vs Christian York & Joey Matthews

This classic youth Vs experience, in the early going James & Lee taking control. They throw York into their corner. Lee hits a two German suplexs for a near fall. He tags in James who then hits spinning heel kick . James spent a lot of time posing to the camera . He whips York to the ropes for a back drop, but York jumps over him. He tags Matthews, who cleans house. All four men are in the ring battling. Lee and Matthews on the outside. James & York on the inside. York hits a side slam , goes to the ropes. He climbs the ropes for a moonsault, but Tessa is on the apron. The ref goes to get Tessa off the apron, as Lee throws York off the ropes. James covers , but Matthews comes in for the save. Lee throws Matthews out of the ring again. When York gets up they hit the High Low( Lee flying heel kick to the face, and James a chop block) for the pin. Winner of the Match Trevor Lee & Jaxson James .

At this time The North American Tag Team Champions the Pistols ( Michael Bennett & Matt Taven)walk to the ring.

Matt Taven has the mic first.

MT:" you know Michael we have been champions for over a year now. We have outlasted 2 home promotions. When you look at the Nwa message board you see that fans think we are a joke. They think that the Nwa should vacate these belts. You see Nwa fans( looking at the camera) when I formed the Pistols, and won the belts it was to get rid of a cancer in the Nwa. After we did that, we cut the fat of people who where not Pistols material . Over the last 6 months we have been all over the Nwa , and still no one can beat us. Some promotions will not even book us. We are fighting champions if you need to find us we will be here in North Carolina."

Hands the mic to Michael Bennett

MB:" I will make this quick, you know what holding the North American Tag Belts means. This belt means we are the #1 contenders for the World Title. So Dem Boys, look behind you a pistol is pointed at your back. "

Match#3 Semi- Finals for the U.S. Title Match

Cedric Alexander Vs The King of Sleaze Joey Ryan

Alexander and Ryan battle all over the ring. Alexander gains control with stiff kicks and chops. He throws Ryan into the corner. He goes for the C.O.D., but Ryan moves out of the way. Ryan then hits a spinning neck breaker for a near fall. Ryan then waits for Cedric to get up. He goes for the walk off super kick . At the last moment Alexander ducks and hits a clothesline . Alexander then hits the Lumbar Check for the three count. Winner of the match and advances to the finals of the U.S. tournament Cedric Alexander.

C.W. Anderson defeats Lodi via pinfall. C.W. Anderson wins the with a spine buster.

The Man Scout Jake Manning defeats Drew Myers via submission. Manning wins with a Scouts Honor sleeper.

Country Jakked ( Adam Page & Corey Hollis) w/ The Southern Chasity Taylor & Ricky Morton & Rich Swann wrestle to a 20 minute draw. This was a great match. Both teams showed why they are the best team.

Opening match does a great job of showcasing Skylar. He needs a few more dominating wins like this and then he should look towards more established names. I like the premise behind Southern Death and Country Jakked have proven themselves as up and coming stars. Lee & James score a great victory over York & Matthews, hopefully this propels them further up the ladder in the tag division, but they need a name for this team. Alexander is becoming a bankable star and regardless of how he does in United States Championship match, he needs to start working as many territories as possible to help create the sort of buzz that demands NWA North American Championship consideration. My only concern was more of the idea that Ricky Morton could hang with Country Jakked and Rich Swann. That is less of a knock on Morton than intended... it is a knock on the other three in that he kept up with them at 57 years of age. As for the Pistols... this has become a waste when you consider that Championships are intended to elevate talent. Taven should have been pushed as a singles star already and Bennett has the look to do the same if brought along properly. I would be begging for a team to take these Championships in a feud that finally closes the book on the Pistols and allows you to create two stars with separate feuds.. or even one against each other. Keep up the great work Chris!

I think the whole board is pretty much in agreement on The Pistols and those title belts. There is little you can do with them, but they are there, and having them throw down a challenge to the Briscoes is a pretty good option. They are still a top tag team in the league regardless of those belts. Personally I would avoid feuding them and just set them on their different ways if they were to split after eventually losing the belts, which seems like not if, but just who at this point and a matter of finding the right tag team. Putting them against each other means a winner and a loser and I think they would both benefit from individual pushes first that sees them both elevate themselves. That aside, nice promo as it hit on everything it should have.

Alexander has been your best used wrestler across your work since inception. Hard to go wrong in the finals as he has a lot to gain from winning the title or losing and entering a chase for the title. I assume his opponent ends up as Rhett Titus with Cody Hall in his corner, which should be a good in ring match.

A close second in great usage is Skyler & Country Jakked. Knowing Ricky Morton, the layout of the match saw him getting his ass kicked and a hot tag to Swann so I don't see that as any sort of knock on anybody there. It was a dark match too so the result is not as important anyway. They are on the cusp of something here, but something is still missing with Page & Hollis. Give it time and it should get there as it really is an intangible, mostly just related to time. Can't wait to see Alexander and Skyler cross paths. The longer they get kept apart, the better.

Not that I'm a giant fan or anything, but if you have him, might be time to start throwing Moose into the occasional squash. I'm not sure what ROH plans on doing with him, but he strikes me as having almost all his value from going through smaller guys for at least a few months before he gets any real competition.

Good stuff, Chris. I will keep an eye out for John Skylar. I have never of him but I do want to see more of him in Mid Atlantic. The Pistols are a great team and have lasted a long time, but I agree that it might be time for them to go in separate directions. Hopefully their challenge to the Briscoes will be the catalyst of that. Good main event – I am happy to see Alexander pick up the victory.
