Arena Puebla
1. Eléctrico & Astral defeats Demus 3:16 & Espíritu Maligno
Tecnicos took falls one and three with the highlight coming from the sequences between Eléctrico and Espíritu Maligno, who is known for his exciting bumps in Arena Puebla. This was a great opener and set the tone for one of the best shows top to bottom from CMLL this year.
2. Cancerbero & Raziel defeats Pegasso & Soberano Jr.
Rudos take falls one and three with Los Cancerberos del Infierno proving they deserve a high profile feud before the end of the year.
3. Black Panther, Cachorro & Tigre Rojo Jr. defeats Blue Center, Kamaitachi & Okumura
Tecnicos win this match in straight falls as Los Hijos del Blue Panther were dominant against their Japanese counterparts. Cachorro has done nothing but exceed all expectations since he debuted at the beginning of the year and may be the frontrunner for Rookie of the Year in CMLL. Rojo Jr. won a long second fall from Center just a week after taking his mask.
4. Reyes del Aire Torneo Cibernetico Match: Máscara Dorada defeats Ángel de Oro, Dragón Rojo Jr., Stigma, Stuka Jr., Rey Escorpión, Gran Guerrero, Misterioso Jr., Puma & Ripper
This match was more than advertised as it took nearly ten minutes to see the first elimination as Stigma sent Gran Guerrero to the locker room with a springboard senton. Stuka Jr. was the second elimination as Puma used La Casita to perfection. Ángel de Oro ended Ripper’s night next with La Mecedora as a brawl had broken out at ringside. It was several more minutes before Escorpión caught Stigma with the Aguijón Venenoso to even the sides at three. This led to an amazing triple dive from the tecnicos that helped setup Misterioso Jr. walking into the Patadas Laguneras by Rojo Jr. for the elimination. Puma finally saw his impressive run come to an end with a springboard dragonrana from Mascara Dorada, though it was clear he has grown throughout 2014 as he outlasted several more experienced luchadors. Escorpión now found alone and escaped several near falls to the groans of the crowd before an amazing sequence with Rojo Jr. that ended with Dragón reversing a hurricanrana, muscling Escorpión to his shoulders for a powerbomb and then Rey scoring an unexpected dragonrana for the elimination. Rojo Jr. and Escorpión exchanged words as the former headed back up the ramp and Ángel de Oro wasted little time attacking the exhausted Rey and eliminating him with a moonsault. This left the two tecnicos to decide the winner and the crowd was very vocal for the remainder of the match. Several good sequences followed each culminating with dives that brought the crowd out of their seats. Ángel de Oro used a beautiful cartwheel to propel himself over the top rope for a corkscrew senton to Dorada at ringside. Dorada refused to be outdone though as he knocked Ángel de Oro over the ringside barricade with the Brillo Dorada. Dorada tossed an exhausted Ángel de Oro under the bottom rope and used a corkscrew somersault senton bomb to win the match.
5. Mr. Niebla, Shocker & Último Guerrero defeats La Máscara, La Sombra & Rush
Ultimo Guerrero replaced Negro Casas and this quickly became a brawl as the six men in the ring wisely decided to involve the crowd early after the match they just witnessed. The first fall was dominated by the tecnicos differentes with Sombra gaining a measure of revenge from last night in Guadalajara by defeating Shocker with the Brilliante Driver. Rush and Guerrero dominated the much of the remainder of the match, even when they weren’t the legal men in the ring, with Guerrero drawing a disqualification by removing his own mask to win the second fall. Rush clearly took exception to the referee’s decision as he pummeled Guerrero for much of the third fall in and out of the ring, ripping at his mask at every opportunity. Rush nailed a seated Guerrero with a corner dropkick and began ripping at his mask once more, causing the referee to warn him before he attempted to pull Rush off of Guerrero. All three men struggled in the corner before Rush responded by shoving the referee through the ropes and to the floor to draw the deciding disqualification. Rush grabbed a microphone after the match and promised to do “Atlantis’ dirty work” tomorrow night in Guadalajara.
