Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1. El Brillante defeats El Acertijo
Brillante wins a good opener and the promising youngster may see a call up to México City by the end of the year.
2. Marcela & Princesa Sugehit defeat Amapola & La Seductora
Amapola replaced the newly retired Princesa Blanca but the tecnicos took the first and third falls.
3. Disturbio, Olímpico & Virus defeat Gallo, Omar Brunetti & Smaker
Rudos win the first and third falls, only losing the second due to a disqualification for excessive violence. At times this looked like a training match as Virus & Olímpico worked a diligent match with the young tecnicos. Disturbio would catch Brunetti with a flash rollup to win the third fall and immediately challenged the recently unmasked Omar to a hair match for next week.
4. Felino, Puma & Tiger defeat Blue Panther, Black Panther & Cachorro
The match was easily the best of the night thus far as two wrestling dynasties went head to head. Felino and Panther had a few sequences that were amazing displays of mat wrestling and then took turns schooling each other’s sons on the art of lucha libre. Puma, Tiger & Cachorro were spot on tonight and used their dives to make sure this match included absolutely everything. This is a feud that needs to be continued as all three youngsters could be elevated Cachorro vs. Puma or Tiger could be headlining Arena México for the next 15 years.
5. Diamante Azul, Mascara Dorada & Volador Jr. defeat Euforia, Rey Bucanero & Terrible
This was another good match and may have come off better if it wasn’t sandwiched between two great matches. The first fall was unusually long and featured some great sequences before Terrible used La Terriblina to take the first fall from Azul. The second fall showcased the aerial prowess of Dorada and Volador with the latter scoring the victory with the Ataque Depredador on Euforia. The third fall became more of a brawl allowing Bucanero & Terrible to take control until Azul returned the favor from the first fall with a sequence of power moves that included a devastating German suplex and then a tornado backbreaker transitioned into el Escudo for the deciding fall. Terrible and Azul brawled all over ringside before their partners were able to pull them apart.
6. Último Guerrero defeats Rush
Rush would come out quickly and take control early by using the Martillo Negro to win the first fall. The second fall started with Rush untying Guerrero’s mask and trying to tear it off as he promised last night in Puebla but Guerrero would battle back and even the match with the Guerrero Special. After nearly fifteen minutes, the third fall started and quickly became a brawl all over the ringside area. Rush continued to rip at the mask of Guerrero, tearing a large hole near Guerrero’s right eye. Guerrero would battle back though countering Rush’s corner dropkick and hitting the Gory Invertida for a near fall. Guerrero would follow that up with the Planchita de Ángel but Rush would roll his shoulder at the last moment. Guerrero then lifted Rush back to the top rope and locked him in the reverse headlock for the Guerrero Special but Rush countered by ripping Último’s mask off and tossing it several rows into the crowd. Guerrero immediately fell back to the canvas and covered his face as the referee called for the disqualification.
