Southern Heavyweight champion: Marcus Anthony
Southern Tag Team champions: Shiloh Jonze & The French Stallion
TV champion: Dylan Bostic
Women's champion: Heidi Lovelace
Gilbert Corsey, and Michael Titus welcome viewers to the show. Noticeably absent this week is Dean Hill and as Gilbert explains, following the events at the Saturday Night Special last weekend, Dean is very distraught over what took place involving a returning Doug Basham turning his back on The Lords of The Ring, and he did not show up today. Titus says good, maybe he can finally get a word in to make light of the situation. Also last week, another serious situation as Southern champion Marcus Anthony delivered a Gamma Punch to the ringpost when challenger Rob Terry moved out of the way. Anthony suffered a fracture and could be out for as long as 6 weeks from what they have heard. What does this mean for the Southern Title? We hope to find out here today as we move towards the next show at Kentucky Kingdom this Friday night, August 15. But starting the show in an unexpected way ...
Jamin Olivencia is out!
It was last weekend that Olivencia defeated Rudy Switchblade at the SNS, but Gilbert goes on to explain that it was not without controversy, but more of a forced controversy than what Doug Basham did to The Lords of The Ring. Titus says it was the most controversial finish of all and that "Ashcraft screwed Rudy" will become the new saying with the 2014 Louisville screwjob sure to be spoken of years from now. Olivencia takes the mic and tells the fans that just like he said, he went in last week and he defeated Rudy Switchblade, but now he understands that the Southern champion Marcus Anthony has an injury. He knows that Rob Terry deserves a rematch after their double countout, but he is calling on Danny Davis to do the right thing. If Anthony cannot compete, sign it. Rob Terry vs Jamin Olivencia for the vacant Southern Title, do it for an interim Southern Title, he does not care, but he deserves the chance and nobody can argue that! At least nobody except ...
Rudy Switchblade! Clearly this is not over yet as he gets into the ring. Jamin asks him what he is doing here, he beat him last week, that is that. Rudy says he is disappointed in Jamin. Surely he must have had the chance to go back and watch the footage by now because if he had, he would have seen referee Josh Ashcraft, noted referee of screwjobs, screw him out of the win with a tainted 3 count. Not only was it a fast 3 count, but Switchblade kicked out in time and the footage shows that. Jamin says he watched the footage and Switchblade has no case, he beat him. Rudy says fine then, if not that, what about when the original referee got knocked out and he had him in the Boston Crab? Rudy let go but if you have a standing referee, Jamin was not getting out of that hold. Jamin says what if this, what if that, and that you can what if all day and all night, but what matters is he did not tap out with or without a referee and the finish where Ashcraft counted 3, and there was no confusing it by any of the fans here. Jamin Olivencia defeated Rudy Switchblade, plain and simple, and he deserves a chance at the title. Suddenly over the P.A. we get a "whoa, whoa, whoa" ...
The Ultimate Fighter Jay Bradley is out with Mongo and a mic in hand. If anybody deserves the chance to face Rob Terry for that title, it is him because he beat Cliff Compton fair and square in the middle of the ring. Jamin interrupts and says there was nothing fair about it and if you want to talk about people not deserving their wins, Bradley's is in a league unto himself last weekend. Switchblade interrupts and says that Jamin can't have it both ways. Tainted refereeing to give Bradley a win with a missed call in 1, but it was fair when Jamin won with poor officiating? Which is it? Jamin answers back this is not black and white and Rudy knows it was not poor officiating, just his ego has yet to get the news and is making excuses, so he needs to quit making excuses and accept that he lost to a better man last weekend. He thought he was better than this. Bradley interrupts and says he is better than both of them so they need to both get out of his way and let him take what is rightfully his, the Southern championship.
Finally the last word is out as Danny Davis is out and takes the mic from out of Bradley's hand. He tells him to shut his mouth and tells both Jamin and Rudy to follow suit. He has a lot on his plate right now thanks to his nephew turning into the biggest traitor since Benedict Arnold last Saturday, but just so these 3 are not out here arguing all night, he is going to settle this once and for all. Rob Terry is still the #1 contender, not Jamin, not Rudy, not the supposed Ultimate Fighter. He was not defeated at the SNS, and just so that we are not left without a Southern champion for months on end, he is going to come out next and Marcus Anthony can either hand him the title or fight for it, but this is going to be settled and it will be settled next!
-- First commercial break --
Back from break and Rob Terry is out in the ring while the other parties except Danny Davis have all left the ringside area. The music hits and out comes Timmy Danger with the Southern Title in his grasp. He takes a mic and says that Marcus Anthony is in no condition to wrestle here tonight, let alone defend the title and he should have 30 days. Davis tells him that either Anthony is ready to go right now or ready to hand over the title. Which is it? Danger says the only way Anthony will hand over this title is when it is taken from his cold dead hands. Suddenly a pan back of the camera reveals Anthony stepping through the curtain. Hand taped up, but he looks ready to go here. Danger says to hold on a minute here and tells Anthony not to do this right now, not to risk further damage and further injury. Titus on commentary makes note of the compassion while Dean makes note that Danger only cares about 1 thing, his meal ticket and the money that comes with it. Anthony ignores the advice and heads to the ring to defend the title as there is a surprise gigantic opener here today on TV.
Match #1
Rob Terry defeats Southern champion Marcus Anthony @ 4:58 via DQ thanks to interference from Jay Bradley, allowing Anthony to retain the Title. Anthony started strong, avoiding use of his injured hand, but Terry began a comeback due to the limited offense until Bradley was back out and slid in to hit Terry with the Boomstick, a big lariat clothesline. Anthony & Bradley started to kick away at the challenger as Timmy Danger & Mongo looked on from the floor, egging them on. Jamin Olivencia & Rudy Switchblade were them out to make the save. After giving Bradley the O Drop, Olivencia joined Switchblade to finally clear the ring with a double clothesline on the champion to send him to the floor. Just like that though, Switchblade turned Olivencia and shoved him, holding up a finger to say he is the better of the 2. Jamin shoves him back and just like that we are right back where we started the show. Terry is up with officials and the 2 are being separated with a chaotic opening here this week on TV.
-- Second commercial break --
Back from break and things have settled down out here. Gilbert says they are going to change things up right now and bring out the Rudo Raul Lamotta while fans chant "1, 2, 3" at him over and over again. Gilbert asks him why he wanted this time. Lamotta says that he wants to tell Gilbert and all the fans that despite what they may think, he is not a loser out here. The last few weeks he has been a little down on his luck, but this Friday at Kentucky Kingdom he wants the chance to turn his fortunes around. The Metal Master has defeated him and made him look bad a few times out here now, but he wants a 2 out of 3 Falls match because while he may be able to defeat the Rudo once, he will never defeat him twice back to back and he feels he is guaranteed at least 1 fall to get his head on straight. We will see about that.
Match #2
Metal Master defeats Elvis Pridemoore @ 4:06 via pinfall after the Jackhammer. Another impressive performance from the masked wrestler as he remains undefeated since his return, but that will be put to the test this Friday as he will have to beat the Rudo Raul Lamotta not once, but twice in a Best 2 out of 3 Falls match at Kentucky Kingdom. Titus says this is a rare match because at this point a victory for Lamotta would just be the mental victory of winning 1 of 3 falls, let alone 2.
-- Third commercial break --
Miss OVW Coronation
Back from break and Michael Titus is in the ring. After an arduous process that has clearly captivated audiences here, the judging is complete and they are finally ready to crown the 2014 Miss OVW. In the ring are the Women's champion Heidi Lovelace, Jessie Belle, Taeler Hendrix, Hannah Blossom, Holly Blossom, Nikki St. John, Scarlett Bordeaux, Solo Darling, and Ray Lynn. Of course when we last saw these 9 femmes fatale, it was in the bikini beach battle royal which was won by Jessie Belle at the Saturday Night Special, last eliminating Lovelace. Potentially controversial moments saw Taeler eliminated early and forcing Scarlett to eliminate herself, as well as a minor riff between The Blossom Twins when 1 eliminated the other before they made up and hugged it out. But all that aside, those minor cracks could become full blown rips today because the envelope is ready. Titus opens it. The 2014 Miss OVW as judged by fans of the website is ...
Wait a minute, this can't be right. Titus walks over and checks with a ringside attendant for verification and they assure that is accurate. The 2014 Miss OVW is ... Scarlett?!? Disbelief comes over the women, especially Taeler. She immediately asks to see the envelope. Nikki reassuringly says that cannot be right, meanwhile Titus takes the tiara crown and puts it on Scarlett as some of the other women like The Blossoms, Ray Lynn & Solo are congratulating her. An upset Taeler gets angry and storms off with Nikki closely behind, looking back at Scarlett as if she had committed some type of cardinal sin today with this win that she had no control over. Heidi & Jessie also congratulate her. It seems there may be problems in the Mean Girls camp thanks to this result.
-- Fourth commercial break --
Before the next match, Mohammad Ali Vaez is out to talk about what happened last weekend at the Saturday Night Special. He has not spoken yet to either Nick Dinsmore or Rob Conway, but what Doug Basham did, his actions speak louder than words ever could. No explanation could ever justify why he did what he did. But for himself, he has a match this Friday at Kentucky Kingdom to concern himself with so there is no time to focus on the past. Gilbert says the match Friday is a Bootcamp match against half of the Tag Team champions Shiloh Jonze, and Vaez has to know where Shiloh goes, so too does The French Stallion & Fabiano Rolento. Vaez says that he is all too familiar with them and the way they operate and that while it seems they keep taking out his back up, he has a surprise for them on Friday. They pulled 1 over at the SNS against The Lords of The Ring, but fool him once, shame on him, fool him twice, it won't happen!
Match #3
Shiloh Jonze defeats Robbie Walker @ 4:35 via submission with the Mandible Claw. A dominant performance by Shiloh ahead of the Bootcamp match, as he even leaves the hold on Walker past the bell. Come on, enough is enough! Tag team partner Aaron Sky is in to try and get Shiloh to break the hold but just gets attacked from behind by The French Stallion. As Sky gets up to his hands and knee, Stallion runs at him to hit the running big boot to the face, The French Connection. Finally Shiloh releases the hold and Bin Hamin enters with Fabiano Rolento. The Marauders are unstoppable after last Saturday and the Bootcamp match might be the final bow for Mohammad Ali Vaez if he ends up outmatched 3 to 1 on Friday night at Kentucky Kingdom.
-- Fifth commercial break --
Back from break and Danny Davis is back out. He tells Gilbert that things are getting out of hand here, so out of hand that he has taken it upon himself to bring in a special D.O.A., Director of Authority, to troubleshoot things and that person will be announced on TV next week. While he was a wrestler once, he is not the physical presence today that is needed for the role given how these guys today seem to want to get physical week in, week out. That stops next week because the rules will be upheld and law and order will be restored to Ohio Valley. After what happened with his nephew Doug, he also feels that he might need to step back a bit on that situation due to what is now a more personal involvement that he will address when the time is right. As for what happened earlier, he is signing a big 6 man tag team match for Kentucky Kingdom with Jamin Olivencia, Rudy Switchblade & Rob Terry vs Marcus Anthony, Jay Bradley & as a 6th man to the equation, the TV champion Dylan Bostic in a big chance for him to shine and hang with 5 of Ohio Valley's best. They want to settle things, do it in the ring Friday night. As for the rest of the card for Friday night August 15, which is as always free with park admission ...
- Metal Master vs Raul Lamotta in a Best 2 out of 3 Falls match.
- Chris Silvio & Ryan Howe team again against The Body Guy & The Body Guard.
- 6 man tag team action with Jamin Olivencia, Rudy Switchblade & Rob Terry vs Marcus Anthony, Jay Bradley & Dylan Bostic.
- Mohammad Ali Vaez vs Shiloh Jonze in a Bootcamp match.
- Plus 3 other matches.
Match #4
TV champion Dylan Bostic defeats Eddie Diamond to retain the Title @ 6:47 via pinfall after a Backstabber. The final match of TV sees The Justin Bieber of Professional Wrestling defending his belt on TV since he was in a tag team match last Saturday and did not defend the title. EFD put up a good fight and came close to the win on a couple of occasions, but when it was all said and done, Bostic retained after hitting his finisher. And done without interference from his second at ringside, The Mexicutioner. A big win and big showcase to main event TV this week as he heads into what might be his biggest opportunity to date this Friday night at Kentucky Kingdom in that 6 man tag team match and a chance at a potential breakout performance when he teams with Marcus Anthony & Jay Bradley against Jamin Olivencia, Rudy Switchblade & Rob Terry. That plus the Bootcamp match as it all goes down this Friday night at Kentucky Kingdom, don't miss it!
