Show XIV: Everything Went Black

The show opens with fire, as it dies down you can see the horrific image of Shaman on his knees with tears streaming down his face as he's bound and gagged. He's covered in bruises and has a black eye as he pleads with his eyes to the camera as KAMI and Jinn keep him on his knees with a hand on either shoulder. Black Heart stands in the foreground with the Independent Crown over his shoulder, his Black Army of Overdose, Havok, Scourge, Heretic and Black Widow also stand in the shot looking incredible menacing.

Black Heart: The Independent Union now belongs to me. Tonight my army will cement our spot on top by crushing the corner stones of the Independent Union. Black Ninja if you show your face tonight...

Overdose steps forward spewing black mist into the air, the same mist that caused Black Ninja to be bed ridden for months, and nearly ended his career!


The opening credits roll as the dragon's mouth opens with smoke bellowing out of the nostrils. The usual glow of the dragon's green eyes are instead replaced with blackness. Tonight truely is the darkest night of the Independent Union!

SINGLES BOUT
Baku vs. Puchteca

This opening contest was the only match that didn't put the Independent Union against the Black Army as Baku looked to make his debut here in the Union. Puchteca would rush Baku but would end up eating a battering ram style headbutt that knocked Puchteca on his ass! Baku would ply his craft with a stump puller style submission holding Puchteca in place so he could rain down clubbing blows following up by cranking on the neck of Puchteca in brutal fashion. The style that Baku brings with him isn't pretty it's a grind out a win style offense that absolutely punishes opponents. Puchteca would work his way to his feet distracting Baku with wild punches that Baku would avoid for awhile until Puchteca would score with a roundhouse kick out of nowhere putting Baku in the corner where Puchteca fired off clenched MMA knee strikes until the ref had to pull the two men apart! Puchteca would try to rush again but Baku would plant him with an anaconda buster for a two count! Baku would size up Puchteca looking for a lariat but Puchteca would duck the swing and catch Baku in the middle of the ring with a cross arm breaker forcing the new comer to submit after a few moments of sheer torture!

SINGLES BOUT
Mongrel vs. Havok

The former Paladin now rechristened Havok with his alligence to the Black Army takes on his former ally Mongrel who tried hopelessly to beat the evil out of his former friend. Mongrel wasn't a match for Havok who rag dolled the heavenly hound with his immense strength! Mongrel would try to catch Havok with a front face lock but Havok would hurl him out of the ring through a table at ringside! Havok wasn't done even as medical staff went to check on Mongrel who looked to be in a world of pain. Havok would lift the lifeless body of Mongrel over his head with a military press before dumping him to the mat.


This brought out Overdose who would walk out with a book that resembles the necronomicon. The warlock of wrestling would recite an incantation as Mongrel tried to fight it as Havok held him down pleading with his former ally to stop fighting it and become his ally again! Mongrel would succumb to the spell revealing his new self "CERBERUS"

HANDICAP BOUT
MYTHIC(Dragon King & Jaguar) vs. DoA(Heretic & Scourge) and The Summons(KAMI & Jinn)

The nightmare continued for the Union as Dragon King and Jaguar quickly realized they were going to be outnumbered in this match! Dragon King tried to reign in the hot tempered Jaguar who tried to take on all four opponents with dire results! Dragon King would cry out to his partner trying to get the tag in to keep his friend back from the brink of a serious beating. Dragon King and Jaguar were childhood friends turned enemies and now the best of friends again. Jaguar would eventually let his pride subside as Dragon King recieved the tag that looked like it could tip the match in the favor of MYTHIC, but the numbers were too great as the Black Army were able to tag enough to keep everyone fresh. DoA would use a leg sweep/back elbow combination on Dragon King to lay him out as the Black Army continued to decimate the Independent Union through trickery and numbers!

JUNIOR TITLE BOUT
Overdose vs. Shaolin(c)

Shaolin was extremely leary of the potential black mist from Overdose, keeping his distance and picking his spots. Overdose was loving the power he had over Shaolin as he teased the spitting of mist a few times causing Shaolin to slip out of the ring a number of times. Eventually the Summons(KAMI and Jinn) would come to ringside forcing Shaolin to stay in the ring, making it easier for Overdose to spew his mist! Shaolin almost got a face full of poison mist but instead kicked Overdose under the chin forcing the warlock to spit the mist harmlessly into the air! Shaolin's confidence grew as he blasted the challenger with chops and knees looking to give the Union a victory but he was caught out of nowhere with a fireball thrown by Overdose! The fire would temporarily blind the champion allowing for Overdose to score with the glimmering warlock to crown a new Junior weight champion!


Hannibal looked so focused knowing that he has to be the man to stop Black Heart and stop the hemmoraging of the wound caused by the Black Army to the Independent Union. Annie Maye, Hannibal's wife and valet chews her lip in fear, but Hannibal would stop her from walking with him grabbing her by the arms and pleading with her to lock herself away. Black Heart is ruthless and if anything ever happened to her he would never forgive himself. Annie tries to argue but eventually submits and goes to lock herself away safely from the Black Army as Hannibal walks to the gallows to challenge the most dominate champion the Independent Union has ever seen!

INDEPENDENT CROWN BOUT
Hannibal vs. Black Heart(c) w/ Black Widow

Saying this match had big fight atmosphere was an understatement as the entire Union was riding on the shoulders of "The Aerial Ace" Hannibal! Black Heart was stunned when Hannibal ducked an early attempt at the spinning back chop following up with a pele kick that truely staggered the champion! The crowd was electric as Hannibal fed off the crowd and delivered a beating to the general of the Black Army! This night has been hell but if Hannibal could pull off the victory it would absolutely tip the scales in favor of the Independent Union! Hannibal actually hit a leaping back kick that floored the champion before ascending the ropes looking for the Fire Bird Splash but Black Widow would shove him off the top rope! Black Heart tried for the spinning back chop to Hannibal again but Hannibal would "matrix" the attempt with a beautiful bridge, but with the quickness of a cobra Black Heart would strike out with an axe kick knocking the wind out of Hannibal! The hopes of the entire Union looked grim as Hannibal tried to get to his feet sucking wind trying to will himself back into this match! Black Heart would motion for the Black Army to come to the ring to witness the end as he grabs the back of Hannibals mask holding him in place as he looked to finish him off. The Black Army look on at their leader...


The entrance way dragon's eyes glow green again as it let's out a roar that makes everyone in the crowd jump! Everyone's eyes divert to the ramp as Black Ninja stands with his hand out, closing it as members of the Independent Union flood to the ring for an all out war! Black Widow gets into the ring for safety but out comes Annie Maye! She's here to defend her man as she rushes Black Widow and the two women start trading punches in the middle of the ring! Annie breaks away and blasts Widow with a Tokyo Pop! Annie starts to bite off more than she can chew until Powder Keg makes his return! The last time he was in the ring Black Heart nearly crushed his throat with the spinning back chop! This time Powder Keg hits the ring pounding his chest, letting out a primal roar as Black Heart realizes that his forces are being beaten and he's about to pay up for his sins! Powder Keg tries to gore the champion but Overdose runs interference throwing a handful of powder into the face of Keg allowing for the leader of the Black Army to slither through the crowd to fight another day! Black Ninja makes his way to the ring and helps his friend Hannibal to his feet, raising his hand as a showing of respect the the man that is the heart of the entire Union!

Wow, this was a really intense show. The Black Army is just so dominate, but you can feel that there is a lot of hope that the tides will turn. The writing and storytelling were great, as usual, and I just always love reading these shows.
