Southern Heavyweight champion: Marcus Anthony
Southern Tag Team champions: Shiloh Jonze & The French Stallion
TV champion: Dylan Bostic
Women's champion: Heidi Lovelace
Gilbert Corsey, and Michael Titus welcome viewers to the show. Still absent this week is lead commentator Dean Hill, so disgusted by the actions of Doug Basham 2 weeks ago, as Titus remarks that is why he can actually hear himself out here for a change as Gilbert says he is 1 to talk. Today, the big question gets answered during the broadcast. Who has Danny Davis assigned to the position of D.O.A., Director of Authority, and what does that mean for the locker room? What we do know today is that Jamin Olivencia & Rudy Switchblade will team up today against TV champion Dylan Bostic & The Mexicutioner. A big chance for Bostic & his hired muscle to try and move up the ranks with Olivencia & Switchblade not seeing eye to eye these days. Also today, we will hear from both Rob Terry and the Southern champion Marcus Anthony regarding their match last week and Timmy Danger's proclamation that Anthony will wait 30 days before another rematch. But right now ...
Mohammad Ali Vaez is out!
The former co-holder of the Southern Tag Team Title is here and has something to say. Vaez tells the fans that it seems that all hope is gone when it comes to the reign of terror being perpetrated on Ohio Valley by Bin Hamin & The Marauders. Doug Basham turns his back on Ohio Valley at the Saturday Night Special, Dean Hill is gone, The Lords of The Ring are gone. But Vaez insists that he will fight until the bitter end because he intends to fight for what he believes in! The fans pop as Vaez goes on that he has been on the other side, brainwashed by Hamin. He has fought for a cause that has no morals, no boundaries. Hamin and his men are out for themselves, just like Basham at the SNS. So what he wants right now is for Hamin to come out here now because this is going to get settled today on TV or he will go out trying.
And like the vultures that they are, the Iraqi flag appears through the curtain and out comes Fabiano Rolento. Shiloh Jonze & The French Stallion follow, with Bin Hamin at the rear. Vaez is ready for the fight, but it looks like Hamin has something to say first. He starts that all the fans in the Davis Arena need to realize why the Marauders do what they do. Danny Davis has created an environment that breeds American ideals and rejects his values. It is why other foreigners have joined him, and why even an American in Shiloh Jonze saw this for what it was. It is just unfortunate that Vaez thinks he saw the light when in actuality, he is making a mistake he will someday regret. In time, they will have control over Ohio Valley and Vaez had his chance to join them, but repeatedly refused the offer. And now, here, right now, it ends for him so if he has any last words before they take him out, now is the time. Vaez tells them that Ohio Valley breeds American ideals because they have 1 thing in common - love it, or leave it! You can try all you want, but you will never change it because it is the fans here in the Davis Arena that make Ohio Valley what it is. But before they continue ...
TPT is out! The fans pop big as "Trailer Park Trash" Frank Miller is out. Gilbert reminds new viewers that TPT was a longtime competitor here, having done it all. A multi time Southern Tag Team champion and OVW original, this is a surprise. TPT enters the ring and takes a mic. Everybody is probably wondering what he is doing here right now, but before this goes down, let's get 1 thing straight, he is not here to help Vaez. Hamin laughs and tells his men to continue, but TPT clarifies. No, he's not here to help Vaez, but he's not here to help them either. He's here because Danny Davis has hired him as the new D.O.A., Director of Authority, and this type of crap stops now! The fans pop big at that announcement as Hamin holds his men back. TPT continues that from what he has seen, there is no situation more in need of some good old southern justice than this right here. So what he is going to do is book a match for later on today for TV. This gets settled in the ring, in a match, not in a 3 on 1 beat down. Hamin, choose 1 of your men because they will be taking on not Vaez, but somebody of his choosing. TPT warns Vaez to choose wisely though because if that man wins, that wrestler & Vaez receive a Tag Team Title shot at the next SNS on September 6, but if he loses, that's it. Vaez never gets another shot again. Hamin seems to like that idea feeling nobody would dare take on his empire, but there is more than just that. TPT says he made a call to an old friend and convinced him to come back so with that, Davis Arena, please welcome back ...
Dean Hill! The fans pop as Hill comes out and acknowledges the standing ovation he is getting from the fans. TPT assures him and all the fans that going forward, we won't be seeing any crap like what Doug Basham did, and if that happens, you can damn sure bet there will be consequences for the actions. Basham will answer for what he did sooner rather than later. The history and legacy of Ohio Valley will not be compromised by selfish individuals ever again, whether Basham, Hamin, even Danny Davis himself is not above the law of the D.O.A. Now they gotta "take out the trash" if they wanna do that kind of stuff, and that's easier said than done when it's Trailer Park Trash. Hill takes a seat as Gilbert welcomes him back, Titus seems less enthused at his return. Dean thanks Gilbert and says that in a weird way, it is even good to see Titus again. Not hear him though.
-- First commercial break --
Back from break and Rob Terry is out to talk with Gilbert before the opening match. Terry tells him that last week, he was close to taking the Southern championship, but thanks to interference from Jay Bradley, that did not happen. Well, talk is cheap and no matter what Timmy Danger wants to say, he gets another shot at the title. He actually prefers that they wait the 30 days from the last chance because he wants Anthony at full health. No excuses from his injured hand from the Saturday Night Special. He gots his shot last week and he will wait but he wants to send a message next week here on TV. So anybody that wants to step up to the challenge and meet The Freak, Terry tells them to make my day. Nobody will stop him and everybody is looking at the next Southern champion.
Match #1
Heidi Lovelace & Jessie Belle defeat Nikki St. John & Scarlett Bordeaux @ 5:04 when Lovelace pinned Bordeaux after a Shining Wizard after failed interference by Taeler Hendrix only served to distract Bordeaux. Originally the match was Taeler & Nikki, but The Mean Girls seemed to have turned on their own as they bullied Scarlett and made her take the match instead after having to do demeaning tasks like bending over so Taeler could step on her back to get to the apron. Dean speculates this is all jealousy after Scarlett won the Miss OVW last week, while Titus says this all just shows the fans made the wrong choice and it should have been Taeler. The finish sees Taeler try and convince Scarlett to cheat, but she did not want to and in the argument, left herself open to taking the Shining Wizard as the finish. Taeler had a laugh at that rather than concern as her & Nikki just left, not caring for Scarlett's well being in any way.
-- Second commercial break --
Match #2
Eddie Diamond defeats Raul Lamotta @ 4:38 via submission with the Cripwalk Crossface. EFD delivers The Rudo yet another loss that has fans chanting "1, 2, 3" again, despite the submission finish showing that these fans tonight may not exactly be Harvard grads, but that was not all with this match. A solid follow up for EFD after being showcased last week in a strong loss to TV champion Dylan Bostic in the main event. During the opening moments, Mr. Media Cliff Compton interrupted the match and headed out to the entrance. After some time, he told the commentary "So this gets on TV, while I'm sitting in the back? Nice work Double D. Nice work." After that, Compton heads to the back as the match finishes up. Clearly Compton is upset about something out here, and from indications it his being passed over for TV time in favor of this match here today. Gilbert says that hopefully we see Mr. Media next week in a more substantial role, or maybe get him to clarify that.
-- Third commercial break --
Before the next match, The Pastor of Disaster, Reverend Stuart Miles is out to address the sinners of the Davis Arena. It would seem that after a long and rather difficult process, Ohio Valley may have finally been cleansed of Paredyse at the Saturday Night Special 2 weeks ago. He is nowhere to be found and that is probably for the better for him because after what he endured, few men would dare challenge what he stands for ever again. Miles tells the fans that he comes with word from a higher power, 1 that these fans cannot possibly understand. And Paredyse was not in the plans. People like him need saving, and it is unfortunate that he did not see this and had to be eliminated. Next week on TV, the cleansing continues against the so called Party Starter Bud Dwight, and it will go on each week until his mission is complete - no more sinners!
Match #3
Metal Master defeats Deonta Davis @ 4:15 via pinfall after a Jackhammer. Another impressive win in quick order by the still undefeated masked mystery that has taken the ranks here by storm. The commentators wonder on the possibility of Metal Master moving into title contention at this rate, which has Titus laughing if they are referring to the TV champion Dylan Bostic. You put them against each other and let's just be real, Deonta Davis is not Dylan Bostic. Dean says that is a match he would like to see out here and he thinks if given the chance, we could very well be looking at the next TV champion.
-- Fourth commercial break --
Before the next match, The Ultimate Fighter Jay Bradley and cutman Mongo were out to join the commentary. Bradley tells Dean it is good to see him back after his absence last week as he thought maybe he was running scared from the time that Bradley challenged him. Dean assures him that had nothing to do with it as Bradley just mockingly says "sure it didn't", clearly thinking otherwise. He and Titus exchange pleasantries.
Match #4
Dylan Bostic & The Mexicutioner defeat Jamin Olivencia & Rudy Switchblade @ 7:52 via countout after Jay Bradley got up from the commentary and hit an unsuspecting Olivencia with The Boomstick outside the ring. During the match, Olivencia & Switchblade showed no signs of problems, although there may be subtle hints of the 1 upsmanship going on, hard to tell. Bradley did everything he could on commentary to push that there were issues as each man wants to be #1. On commentary, Dean asks if Mongo ever says anything and Bradley tells him that he stays quiet out here because his voice is so horse from them going over gameplans and tapes in the back. He is the premiere trainer of MMA in the world today. Dean asks what MMA stands for, More Meals Anonymous cause from the looks of things, he ain't missed 1 yet. The action spills outside and Bradley takes the opportunity to interfere when it presents itself from a referee distraction, leaving Olivencia laying. Switchblade gets down there and Bradley backs off. Switchblade can help his partner get back in, but instead decides not to turn his back to Bradley and the countout takes place. Again, a scenario where Switchblade's intentions might come into question.
-- Fifth commercial break --
Back from break and Southern champion Marcus Anthony & manager Timmy Danger are out. Gilbert asks on the words earlier from Rob Terry and Danger seems dismissive of what he had to say. Anthony has an injury and should not have even been competing last week, let alone within 30 days after, so what he is going to do is go to the relevant parties and get this match delayed indefinitely. Anthony seems to think otherwise and butts in to speak. He tells Danger that injury or not, he is the best wrestler in Ohio Valley. The match will take place at the earliest possible date and he will defeat Terry to prove who is the best big man today. This injury hinders a mortal man, but he is no mortal! And if Danger has a problem with that, which the manager quickly interrupts saying he has no problem with, clearly a bit scared at the threat, and they will get the match signed ASAP.
For the main event, Bin Hamin is out first, having chosen Fabiano Rolento as his representative. As a reminder, if Rolento wins this match, Mohammad Ali Vaez never gets another opportunity at the Southern Tag Team championship again. However, should Vaez's representative win, he and that man will get a Tag Team Title match at the next Saturday Night Special on September 6. And his representative is The Ironman Rob Conway!?! A big pop as the fans in the Davis Arena are standing at that announcement. Conway was of course half of the team along with Nick Dinsmore that was screwed by Doug Basham's turn at the last SNS 2 weeks ago. TPT heads out before the bell and says that there is more. Everybody to the back and if there is any interference in this match at all by these men, Vaez still forfeits his match, but The Marauders also forfeit the title all together! Needless to say, probably won't be seeing interference, but Hamin is pretty upset with that feeling he should be above that ruling as he is a licensed manager.
Match #5
Rob Conway defeats Fabiano Rolento @ 6:24 via pinfall after The Ego Trip, a whiplash. While Rolento manages to get a couple 2 counts in on Conway, he is ultimately no match for The Ironman in this 1 on 1. Some revenge for Conway who now gets a second chance at the Tag Team Title and putting an end to The Marauders at the next SNS on September 6 with a different partner this time in the form of Mohammad Ali Vaez. After the match, Bin Hamin is out with Shiloh Jonze & The French Stallion and has them surround Conway in the ring. Titus points out that TPT said during the match, but nothing about after the match! Before they could do anything though, Mohammad Ali Vaez was also back out but with an equalizer in hand, a steel chair. Rolento rolled out as Jonze & Stallion retreated with an angered Hamin left yelling back at them. The TPT era has begun here in Ohio Valley with week #1 in the books. Next week on TV, The Freak Rob Terry has an open challenge out, Party Starter Bud Dwight vs Reverend Stuart Miles, plus who knows what else? Next week, don't miss it!
