"Windy City On Tour" #20 - Taylor Field, Harrisburg, Illinois (17/08/14)
~Card Highlights from the taped event will be seen on local Syndicated TV in a wrap-up show "Windy City On Tour".
Run-down from the full Live Event card @ Taylor Field in Harrisburg, IL...
1. April Davids & Serena Deeb (Liberty Pro) def. Paige [Womens Champ] & Jessicka Havok (Liberty Pro) when April Davids pinned Jessicka Havok with belly-to-back suplex. Havok & Paige looked to have formed a solid team but April managed to shock Havok and get the pinfall to solidify herself as having earn't another shot at the Women's Title after Paige had previously walked out in her first title shot for the count-out loss.
2. The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) downed The Little Hitlers (Crash Test Dummy & Rockstar Spud) when Jey pinned Spud following a big splash from the top. The Usos then managed to double team Crash Test Dummy and they gained their revenge on the Little Hitlers as with the Some Fuckers not in attendance tonight it seems they laid Crash ontop of the prawn Spud and hit a double-man diving splash from the top turnbuckles for the ultimate demolition job.
3. Ron Shen w/Steve Blackman destroyed Carlito in under 3 minutes finishing him with a KARATE KICK! after what was mostly a squash match Steve Blackman took the house mic and said on the next Fight Night on the 24th, as everybody found out on the last Fight Night, his charge Ron Shen is scheduled to take on Sean Waltman. Steve said that Ron Shen does not need any enhancements or supplements to be a lean, mean, fighting machine like he's heard on the grapevine Sean Waltman has starting using but that won't make a difference anyway because Ron will annihilate "the Kid" artificial improvements or not.
4. The next bout was set-up as Bray Wyatt believes that Dave Rayne short-changed him for his pay-off for a night as the Cyber-TV Champion "John Doe". A gimmick where mercenaries fight for Rayne so that Dave can keep possession of the Cyber-TV Title. Bray Wyatt beat Dave Rayne with the Sister Abagail in 6 minutes in a commanding performance and with Dave Rayne out-cold Wyatt got into his face on the mat and told him that 'he's due some interest on top of his payment' and that he 'would be coming' for the Cyber-TV Title of "John Doe's" on Fight Night!
5. Gaydar ("Rock Hard" Dick Ryder & Jeffery "Ohh-La-La" Flockhart) def. The Gamers ('Arcade' Kameron Kade & Jack 'First Person' Shooter) of GCW in an inter-promotional match-up. The Gamers came in wearing their Minecraft T-Shirts and got over with the crowd but their downfall came when they attempted a 'level-up' during their match with a ladder-spot on the outside which back-fired and allowed Ryder and Flockhart to get Jack Shooter alone in the ring. Ryder hit him with the "French Tickler" before Flockhart latched on the "Queer as Folk" Groin-Claw to obtain the submission win for the #1 contenders for the Tag Team Titles.
6. "The Masterpiece" Chris Masters & "Mr. Wrestling" Kevin Steen bested the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Samoa Joe & Rey Mysterio in a heated main-event tag bout.
Kevin Steen managed to survive and foil an interference attempt by his foes Daniel Puder and Bully Ray and seemed to be at odds with his partner Chris Masters most of the match as Steen is a reknowned "Lone Wolf" type of guy. Meanwhile having formed a bond and mutual respect after their match between each other on the last Tour show Mysterio and Samoa Joe was a very cohesive and seemingly well oiled-machine as it looked like they had tagged with each other for years.
The finish though came against the run of play as Steen bumped Mysterio on the apron as he run the ropes with Joe and Mysterio looked like he had pulled something, again. Steen managed to make the hot-tag to Masters but Mysterio couldn't quite get to his corner in time and missed the tag opportunity from a waiting Joe as Masters came in and closed down the tag chance. Masters and Joe went one on one for a couple of minutes for the first time with Masters having the imitative thanks to the hot tag and freshness and Masters managed to score a shock three count after a Polish Hammer (Double Axe Handle) to gain a pinfall win over the man he will challenge for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship on Fight Night.
After the match Mysterio seemed upset and angry at himself slapping himself in the face and holding his head, pulling at his mask and left the ring leaving a shocked Joe on his own.
