Jeremy Borash and Terry Funk welcome fans to another exciting episode of NWA Championship Wrestling as we are just one week away from the most exciting event of the summer, Lonestar's Summer Stampede! Borash and Funk are about to run down the lineup for tonight's card when they are cut off by Angel on my Shoulder by Dale Oliver as Velvet Sky comes down to the ring!
Sky wastes no time in challenging Brooke Tessmacher to a match at Summer Stampede, but she says this time there is a catch. She wants there to be no room for interference or distractions, so she wants it to be a six person mixed tag team match, with Sky and the Motor City Machine Guns facing Tessmacher and the American Wolves. As Sky awaits the response of Tessmacher, who's music just hit the public address system, Borash notes that the American Wolves will team with Anthony Nese tonight to face Jeff Hardy and the Machine Guns.
Tessmacher steps onto the stage with a microphone already in her hand. She accepts the challenge on behalf of her team and tells Sky that her men might not even make it to the pay per view after the beating the Wolves give to them tonight!

Mistico versus Ricochet could easily be the match of the night in any territory in the National Wrestling Alliance and it certainly did not disappoint here tonight. Despite it not having the build of some of the other matches heading into Summer Stampede, it was still good enough for the fans to get on their feet and cheer as Ricochet tapped out to La Mistica.

NWA Championship Wrestling returns from its commercial break and immediately Borash and Funk are in a somber mood as they replay the events of last week with Shiima Xion and Tyler Breeze attacking a production staff member for his accidental photo bomb of their selfie. They update the fans that the worker is still in the hospital with no timetable for his return. On behalf of everyone at Lonestar, Borash wishes the worker, who requested he remain anonymous, a speedy recovery. Funk takes over the speaking role as Borash is too distraught to speak, where he says Xion and Breeze continued their warfare earlier today.
We head to the video screen where we see "the Machine Gun" Karl Anderson walking into the arena, strolling his luggage behind him, minding his own business. For no apparent reason, he is attacked from behind by Xion and Breeze. Unlike their previous two attacks, this time their subject is fighting back! Breeze hops on Anderson's back and puts a sleeper hold on him, but Anderson backs him into a wall, causing Breeze to break the hold. Xion takes Anderson's leg out with a kick and attempts to hit From Lust to Dust, but he is stopped by Luke Gallows, who had dropped his luggage to stop the attack! Xion and Breeze scramble away as Gallows checks on Anderson.
Borash, once again able to speak, wonders if Xion and Breeze have picked a fight with the wrong man as he sends us to another commercial break!

The American Wolves will team with Brooke Tessmacher to take on Velvet Sky and the Motor City Machine Guns at Summer Stampede while Anthony Nese faces Jeff Hardy in a singles contest that same night, making tonight's six man tag team match an important contest heading into the pay per view. With the referee distracted by Sky, who was complaining about the actions of Tessmacher during the match, Tessmacher was able to push Sabin off the top rope, allowing Nese to use the reverse piledriver to win the match as the referee turned around just as Tessmacher stepped off the apron.

This match was a highly anticipated special triple threat match featuring one member from each competing team at Summer Stampede. All three men spent time in control of the match, making it an even contest and anyone's game. Finally, Rush hit La Lanza on Bravado, but could not make the cover as Briscoe hit the Crucible for the victory!
Borash reminds fans that next week's main event is a rematch of sorts with the other members of each team competing in another special triple threat match in a prelude to the World Tag Team Championship match at Summer Stampede and he wonders aloud that, if Mark Briscoe wins that match, do the Bravados or Toros have any confidence heading into the pay per view?
