Due to 3 shows falling within 2 days on September 5-6, I have decided to space things out better by posting the shows on a more readable schedule of every 4-5 days for anybody following ... August 23 TV on the 20, August 30 TV on the 24, September 5 Kentucky Kingdom on the 28, September 6 TV on the 1, and September 6 Saturday Night Special on the 6 as scheduled.
Live from Kentucky Kingdom in Louisville, Kentucky on September 5, 2014
Southern Heavyweight champion: Marcus Anthony
Southern Tag Team champions: Shiloh Jonze & The French Stallion
TV champion: Dylan Bostic
Women's champion: Heidi Lovelace
Match #1
Aaron Sky & Robbie Walker defeat Nick Dumeyer & Elvis Pridemoore @ 5:08 when Sky pinned Pridemoore after the double superkick. A rematch from the August 23 TV when Sky & Walker defeated The Ghetto Boys for their first TV victory, they proved it was no fluke as they did it again here tonight at Kentucky Kingdom. The rookies could be a tag team to watch in the coming weeks.
Match #2
Mary Elizabeth Monroe defeats Ray Lynn @ 3:51 via submission with The Rainbow Cross, a modified STF. Another rematch, this time from the August 15 Kentucky Kingdom show with the newcomer Monroe again coming out on top with the impressive tap out victory. Yet to make her TV debut, Monroe continues to generate buzz amongst Ohio Valley fans as they await to see what she can do with anticipation.
Match #3
Eddie Diamond & Bud Dwight defeat Raul Lamotta & Deonta Davis @ 4:35 when Diamond made Lamotta tap to the Cripwalk Crossface. Yet another loss for The Rudo as he continues to be unable to find the keys to victory since his return. The fans chanted "1, 2, 3" at him as always, but he took the mic and called all the fans stupid because he proudly exclaims that he was not pinned this time, but instead tapped out! This leads to "you tapped out" chants, which cause him to cover his ears, not wanting to hear any of that.
Match #4
Paredyse defeats The Body Guy @ 5:49 via pinfall after The Long Kiss Goodnight, a Forward STO. A successful return for Paredyse in his first match since taking the Say Your Prayer curb stomp from The Pastor of Disaster Stuart Miles at last month's Saturday Night Special. With no signs of ring rust, things look good heading into the I Quit match. The Body Guard was at ringside for the match as usual, but surprisingly played no role in the outcome here.
Match #5
Metal Master defeats The Mexicutioner @ 5:12 via pinfall with a school boy from behind after moving out of the way as his opponent charged him in the corner. The TV champion Dylan Bostic was in The Mexicutioner's corner for the match and provided some early interference by grabbing at the masked Master's ankle as he hit the ropes. Mexicutioner went for the spinebuster as a finish, but was unable to hit it leading to the Master making a comeback. After the match, Bostic jumped the masked Master and would hold the TV Title up to his face tauntingly, telling him it will never happen after their non title match on the previous TV saw Metal Master win.
Match #6
Rob Conway defeats Fabiano Rolento @ 5:37 via pinfall after the Ego Trip, a whiplash. No sign of manager Bin Hamin after getting humiliated at the hands of Mohammad Ali Vaez on the last TV in an Anything Goes match. Rolento gets in some offense, but the match is mainly designed as a showcase for Conway and something to pop for from the long time fans of Ohio Valley. After the match, Conway requests the American flag be handed to him from ringside and waves it for all, inviting some troops into the ring to acknowledge their service to the country. Basically an attempt at a giant feel good moment for the last show of 2014 at Kentucky Kingdom.
The Main Event
Match #7
Rob Terry defeats Jay Bradley @ 7:28 via pinfall after a Thrust Spinebuster. This match was setup at the last Kentucky Kingdom show when Bradley cheapshotted Terry after their 6 man tag team match with a Boomstick clothesline, and the match gained further steam at the last TV with Bradley getting a countout win thanks to the presence of Timmy Danger. As with Bin Hamin earlier, no sign of Mongo tonight after he was sacrificed by Bradley on TV. The 2 went back and forth with Bradley working over the leg of Terry, but he could not put him away. The Freak would get the win after hitting his signature move as he builds momentum towards his Last Man Standing match for the Southern Title with Marcus Anthony at the Saturday Night Special.
