Southern Heavyweight champion: Marcus Anthony
Southern Tag Team champions: The Skywalkers
TV champion: Dylan Bostic
Women's champion: Jessie Belle
Dean Hill, Gilbert Corsey, and Michael Titus welcome viewers to the show. Big show here today on TV as we head not only into Rage In The Cage on iPPV next Saturday night, but also the Saturday Night Special tonight, which for the first time will air on TV. And it will be the contract signing at the SNS, but first here on TV, Jamin Olivencia is in singles action. Also this week a preview of the King of The Valley ladder match with 4 of the participants set to do battle in a tag team match and we still do not know who the 6th and final participant in that match will be. Maybe we will find out later today. We have also seen Cliff Compton being courted by both TPT's Team OVW and Doug Basham's team The Blacklist for the War Games. So far no decision, if any, but again, could we hear from him today on that? Right now though ...
The Director of Authority TPT is out!
Trailer Park Trash Frank Miller heads to the ring and asks for a mic. He says that this is going to be brief and to the point. At Rage In The Cage next Saturday on iPPV, it will be Team OVW vs The Blacklist in a War Games. As everybody knows, the traditional man advantage in a War Games is decided in a coin toss. Not here, not in Ohio Valley. If you want a man advantage, you gotta earn it! So what we're gonna do is a Best of 3 series, starting today on TV. Match #1 will be Mohammad Ali Vaez vs Shiloh Jonze, match #2 will be Michael Hayes vs the man that tried to end his career Fabiano Rolento at the Saturday Night Special, and should match #3 be necessary, it will be The Ironman Rob Conway vs The French Stallion next week here on TV. Whichever team wins 2 of 3 will get the all important man advantage for the War Games.
Music hits and out comes the TV champion Dylan Bostic & The Mexicutioner?! What do they want? Bostic tells TPT that he has changed his mind since last week and TPT needs to make the right decision while he still can and avoid having his post War Games legacy when he loses the job as Director of Authority be remembered for 1 mistake. He needs to put the Justin Bieber of Professional Wrestling into the King of The Valley match. These fans want it and so does he, a shot at the Southern Title. He'll have more gold than the real Bieber has gold records. TPT says that he really needs to stop calling himself that because it's not a compliment. And second, the 6th and final spot in King of The Valley has already been decided and will be announced at the Saturday Night Special. Bostic had his chance to qualify and failed. He does have a match at Rage In The Cage though and he was going to announce it later, but since he's already out here, no time like the present. It will be Bostic defending the TV Title 1 more time against Metal Master! Bostic says no, he already beat him. He owes him nothing, least of all a return match. TPT says that Metal Master has put something on the line too in the match, something he knows that Bostic would love to get his hands on based on his grabby fingers last time they wrestled. His mask! Bostic smirks and asks for clarification, if he wins, Metal Master must unmask and reveal himself to the world, humiliated on live iPPV? TPT says that is the deal. Bostic talks briefly with The Mexicutioner and says it's on. He beat him once, he will beat him again, and this time end this whole charade. End the Metal Master once and for all. The match is set for Rage In The Cage. Metal Master vs Dylan Bostic, Mask vs TV Title.
-- First commercial break --
Back from the break and The Ultimate Fighter Jay Bradley & Mongo are out to talk with Gilbert. Bradley tells him that he heard Rudy Switchblade's offer last week and it was hilarious. He should be a stand up comic instead of a wrestler because there is no way that he could ever defeat Bradley, let alone make him tap. He will humor him though because he has a few minutes to kill next Saturday. He accepts and promises that he will make Switchblade tap out in front of everybody like the sissy that he is. And then just for good measure, Mongo will get in there and show Switchblade a thing or 2 that you don't learn in wrestling school. Another big match is official for the iPPV, Rudy Switchblade vs Jay Bradley.
Match #1
The Blossom Twins defeat Nikki St. John & Scarlett Bordeaux @ 4:53 when Holly Blossom pinned St. John with a roll up thanks to a shove from Scarlett. The match was set to be Taeler Hendrix & St. John, but Hendrix refused to compete as she has a big #1 contenders match with Heidi Lovelace at the Saturday Night Special. Instead, as the #1, the queen bee of The Mean Girls, and the real Miss OVW, she was ordering Scarlett to take her place. St. John was abusive towards Scarlett in this rematch of sorts from last week, and eventually had enough and started yelling at Scarlett. Finally she slapped her, but Scarlett had enough and shoved her back into a rollup that let The Blossoms get the win. The 2 argued and eventually started cat fighting afterward as Taeler told them to both stop it now! She told them t focus on what matters, her beating Heidi to become top contender again and getting back the Women's Title. Because of that, Scarlett is suspended from the Mean Girls for the SNS. She's now #4 and #3 is nobody because that's what she is lately, less than nothing. She can't risk her screwing things up she always does. The verbal abuse continues.
-- Second commercial break --
Before the next match, Timmy Danger heads to commentary. Manager of the Southern champion Marcus Anthony, he is here to get a good look at Jamin Olivencia before the Steel Cage match at the iPPV next Saturday night.
Match #2
Jamin Olivencia defeats Nick Dumeyer @ 5:09 via pinfall after the O Drop, a jumping bodyscissors into a DDT. Easy win for Olivencia over The Marksman. Danger on commentary says that Dumeyer is no Marcus Anthony and that Olivencia needs to step up the competition around here if he thinks he will walk into the Steel Cage and take on Anthony with any success. Following the match, Elvis Pridemoore was out and with Dumeyer jumped Olivencia. That is when the big dog Marcus Anthony came out. Danger laughed as it looks like Olivencia may not make it to Rage In The Cage, may not sign that contract at the Saturday Night Special even. The Ghetto Boys hold Olivencia as Anthony enters. He looks them both over and nods, stepping back. Instead though, he gives the Gamma Punch to Elvis! The fans pop as Dumeyer hits Anthony from behind which he completely no sells. He turns and grabs Dumeyer as Elvis is on the outside. Takes him and launches him over the top rope onto Elvis. Danger seems confused but as Anthony turns back to Jamin, the manager laughs. Ok, this is what it is about. Get it down to 1 on 1 and now you take him out. Anthony however steps out of the ring! The fans cheer as Anthony instead heads away from the ring. What is this? Timmy Danger has no idea. Anthony could have finished Olivencia here today, but chose not to. At some level, there seems to be a respect that Anthony has for Olivencia and they intend to settle this 1 on 1. Danger though clearly would have liked Anthony to take out the challenger now, a week before the iPPV. They continue to not be on the same page from indications out here.
-- Third commercial break --
Before the next match, The Body Guy & The Body Guard are out to talk with Gilbert. Body Guy tells him that there has been a huge injustice committed in Ohio Valley in recent weeks, that being Aaron Sky & Robbie Walker becoming the Southern Tag Team champions. That shot should have went to The Body Brigade and they should have the gold right now. They were not defeated in the 4 way at the last Saturday Night Special, a couple jokers were. But tonight at the Saturday Night Special, they have the chance to embarrass and humiliate The Sky Walkers and if they win, no, when they win, they get a shot at the title at Rage In The Cage. If they want to fly, they can fly into the waiting arms of Melvin The Body Guard and submit to the bear hug. Their title reign is a fluke and they will expose them for what they are.
Match #3
Raul Lamotta defeats Bud Dwight @ 4:28 via submission to the cross face chicken wing. The self proclaimed "winner", based on 1 forfeit win, to his credit finally gets a real win here today on TV over The Party Starter. Even with the victory, the fans still chant "1, 2, 3" at Lamotta, getting under his skin. He asks for a mic so he can address this and tells everybody to stop chanting that! He just defeated Bud Dwight right here in the middle of the ring, he has proven himself to be what he says he is, a winner! He is not a loser anymore. And just to show everybody that the Rudo is back, tonight at the Saturday Night Special, it might just be time to get a little crazy again. A little loco. Dean asks if Lamotta just said what he thinks he did. Titus is elated, shouting out "YEESSSS!" in his most annoyingly loud voice. Gilbert says that if that means what they think it might, trouble could be ahead for somebody.
-- Fourth commercial break --
Before the next match, Paredyse is out to join on commentary. As 1 of 6 men in the King of The Valley ladder match at Rage In The Cage, Paredyse has a chance to earn himself a guaranteed shot at the Southern championship. 4 of the others are in action next while the 6th remains a mystery.
Match #4
Ryan Howe & Eddie Diamond defeat Rob Terry & Chris Silvio @ 6:32 when Diamond pinned Terry with a schoolboy in a huge upset. Terry had Diamond defeated when Howe came in to break up the cover, also bringing in Silvio. Paredyse on commentary says that usually when you have 4 guys going at it he's all about getting in there, but he'll stay out of this today. The referee goes to send Howe out of the ring, as Terry shoves Silvio and tells him to get out so he can finish this. Diamond takes advantage of this, rolls up Terry from behind to get the shocking pinfall that has Terry beside himself. Last week these 2 were tag team partners and now EFD has surprised the Davis Arena. Diamond celebrates with Howe while Silvio just laughs at Terry. A mistake according to Paredyse on the commentary because now The Freak is going to be targeting Silvio, something he can use to his advantage in the ladder match. Once the underdog with seemingly no chance, suddenly Diamond seems like a viable possibility to win. But there is still the mystery 6th competitor that could change everything.
-- Fifth commercial break --
Back from break and the commentators are ready to go over the lineup for the Saturday Night Special. For those watching the earlier broadcasts, that's Saturday night at 10pm central on WBNA-TV 21, and for those watching Saturday night or Sunday evening, it's next up! You don't have to do anything but sit back and relax for another hour of Ohio Valley action.
- Match #2 in the Best of 3 as Michael Hayes battles Fabiano Rolento, the man that injured him and tried to end his career 4 months ago.
- Heidi Lovelace takes on Taeler Hendrix, winner is #1 contender to the Women's Title held by Jessie Belle.
- Tag Team champions The Sky Walkers in non title action against The Body Brigade. Should they win, they get a title shot at the iPPV.
- Rudy Switchblade & Metal Master team up against Jay Bradley & Dylan Bostic as 2 iPPV matches collide into 1.
- The contract signing for Jamin Olivencia vs Marcus Anthony, possibly the biggest Southern Title match in Ohio Valley history.
And before they can continue, HOLY @$%&!!! From the back on a motorized scooter looking like Jabba The Hut ate himself, it is KENNY BOLIN! The Starmaker, the head of Bolin Services, what is he doing here?! Bolin very slowly gets up as Dean goes over to ask him what this is all about. Bolin says that when there is an iPPV, there is money, and when there is money, you know Kenny Bolin will be close by. He has seen this stuff with Cliff Compton, TPT's Team OVW, and Doug Basham's team The Blacklist. At the Saturday Night Special, he will get the exclusive on a special edition of his talk show The Bolin Alley like only he can. Both teams need the 5th man, he has it on good authority that Compton will make his decision at the SNS, and he will do it on his show. A big, literally big since it involves Bolin, shocker here. Kenny Bolin is back, and not only that but Cliff Compton will apparently announce his decision on a live edition of The Bolin Alley at the SNS for which team he will side with for the War Games at Rage In The Cage.
Shiloh Jonze defeats Mohammad Ali Vaez @ 8:19 via pinfall after reversing Vaez into an exposed turnbuckle to daze him. During the match, Shiloh slowly worked at removing the padding in the corner, finally getting it off. His early attempts to send Vaez in failed as it got blocked and he made a comeback. Vaez had Shiloh on the ropes so to speak and was scoring several 2 counts to nearly put him away. Unfortunately for him, Shiloh would manage to reverse an Irish whip and send Vaez in front first to the corner. As Vaez fell back, Shiloh quickly dropped an elbow and covered to pick up the win. This give The Blacklist a 1-0 lead in the Best of 3 to determine the man advantage in War Games at Rage In The Cage. Dean ripped on Shiloh using the exposed turnbuckle while Titus defended it saying Vaez was trying to throw Shiloh into it, leading Dean to just get more frustrated because Shiloh was the 1 that took it off in the first place! Gilbert reminded viewers that it will be Michael Hayes vs Fabiano Rolento at the Saturday Night Special in match #2, and that match is now do or die for Team OVW. If they lose that, it's over for them and The Blacklist get the man advantage in War Games.
We're out of time though! If you're watching Saturday night or Sunday evening, don't go anywhere. The Saturday Night Special is next! If you're watching earlier Saturday, remember to tune in on WBNA-TV 21 Saturday at 10pm central or Retro TV 21.4 Sunday at 7pm central. The Saturday Night Special, the road to Rage In The Cage. Don't miss it!
