Southern Heavyweight champion: Marcus Anthony
Southern Tag Team champions: The Skywalkers
TV champion: Dylan Bostic
Women's champion: Jessie Belle
Dean Hill, Gilbert Corsey, and Michael Titus welcome viewers to the show. For the first time ever, the Saturday Night Special is airing on TV and what a night in store for the fans of Ohio Valley. No skimping tonight as it will be do or die for Team OVW in the Best of 3 for the War Games man advantage when Michael Hayes goes for revenge against the man that took out him out for months and nearly ended his career, Fabiano Rolento. If Hayes loses, The Blacklist goes up 2-0 and gets the man advantage. Not only that but in a special edition of The Bolin Alley, that's right Starmaker Kenny Bolin is here, he has announced that Cliff Compton will reveal which team he will side with in War Games. Both have been courting Mr. Media, both need a 5th man, tonight we find out which team. Big tag team action with Rudy Switchblade & Metal Master vs Jay Bradley & Dylan Bostic, Tag Team champions The Sky Walkers against The Body Brigade in a non title match with potential iPPV implications, and the contract signing for Jamin Olivencia and Marcus Anthony's match next Saturday night for the Southern Title. Right now though, to the ring we go with femmes fatale action kicking things off ...
Heidi Lovelace and Taeler Hendrix fought to a no contest @ 5:18 when Women's champion Jessie Belle interfered, hitting both wrestlers with the championship belt. This was a #1 contenders match to determine who would face Belle at Rage In The Cage, but thanks to Belle's interference that is left up in the air for now. Tracy Smothers heads out to the commentary and tells them that what daddy wants, daddy gets, and daddy said for his daughter to slap a b*%@#. Dean tells him to watch his language as the censors are out, bleeping that. Smothers doesn't care about the censors and says for them to censor this as he does a crotch chop to the camera, a throwback to the late 90s, the era he seems trapped in according to Dean. Smothers takes out the confederate flag and says this is what it's all about as his daughter holds up her title. What does this mean for Rage In The Cage?
Well, out comes the Director of Authority TPT to tell us! He tells Smothers to cool his jets because this is Ohio Valley and just because Jessie Belle made sure there was no #1 contender here, does not mean she will not defend that title. On account of there being no definitive #1 contender, TPT thinks that maybe both Heidi Lovelace & Taeler Hendrix should get a shot. Belle complains as TPT backtracks and agrees that ain't fair. Smothers tells TPT to hurry up cause he's got a hot date with a fat old 500 pounder tonight and he's already popped a viagra so hurry this up so he can get to the real main event. TPT says that was way more info than anybody here needed, but when he says it's not fair, he means to the rest of the women. So what it will be at Rage in the Cage is Jessie Belle defending that title against not 1, not 2, but every single 1 of the women's wrestlers here in a 10 woman gauntlet match. The fans cheer as Smothers & Belle lose their cool over that decision. Dean says it serves them right for trying to rob the fans of a title match. Now instead of 1, they got a whole locker room to contend with.
-- First commercial break --
Back from the break and Gilbert is joined at ringside by Rob Terry and Eddie Diamond. Both wrestlers will be in the King of the Valley ladder match next Saturday at the iPPV, winner getting a a guaranteed shot at the Southern Title whenever they choose. But on the last TV, it was a tag team match with EFD surprisingly pinning The Freak. Diamond says that it was quite possibly the biggest win of his career and it shows what kind of competitor Terry is when he can stand out here and put the loss behind him. Terry laughs and tells EFD that he has tasted the gold that is the Southern Title before, and he is not going to let 1 loss distract him from his goal of getting it back. And besides, everybody here knows it would never, ever happen again. EFD says to hold on. They will both be in the ladder match, but what about next week on TV, before then, they have a 1 on 1 to settle this. Terry tells him to be careful what he wishes for because he can guarantee that is the last thing EFD wants. Diamond says Terry is just scared, prompting Terry to accept telling Diamond he will see him next week on TV 1 on 1.
Match #2
Tag Team champions The Sky Walkers defeat The Body Guy & The Body Guard in a non title match @ 5:39 when Aaron Sky pinned Body Guy after a double superkick. Melvin The Body Guard was unable to make the save as he had gotten pushed back into the ropes, with his arms getting caught between a criss crossed middle and top rope. Had The Body Brigade won this match, they would have earned themselves a title shot at Rage In The Cage. This leaves The Sky Walkers without a match, until the self proclaimed "winner" Raul Lamotta came out and took a mic. He told The Sky Walkers that everybody gets on his case, but from what he's been able to tell, they are the real losers around here in Ohio Valley. They shouldn't have the title, he should. So what he wants is for The Sky Walkers to give him a title shot at the iPPV. Aaron Sky takes the mic and says that he has just 3 things to say about that, "1, 2, 3". The fans start the chant as Lamotta is beside himself. Suddenly from out of nowhere, somebody has slid in the ring from behind and is attacking The Sky Walkers with Lamotta. It's Anarquia! Call him Matt Barella, The Low Rider, Ramon, whatever you want, this would seem to indicate what Raul hinted at on TV. The return of Los Locos! The tag teams here had best watch their backs from here on out.
-- Second commercial break --
Back from break and a table is setup in the ring. The Director of Authority TPT is there, as is head referee Chris Sharpe. Gilbert Corsey is in the ring. It is now time for ...
Danger says that people need to read contracts very carefully because not only is this a title match, not only is it inside a Steel Cage, but he included a couple added stipulations. First, if Jamin loses, he does not get another shot at Anthony and the Southern Title as long as he is champion. Jamin seems fine with that, all he needs is the 1 opportunity in the cage. But there is more. The refereeing around here has been very suspect at times and to make sure that only the best and fairest match is called, Danger gets to name the referee! TPT says no, but Danger tells him to read the contract then. If that is not met, then there is no match. End of story. TPT looks at the contract and it seems to be true. Fine then, NO MATCH!?! He refuses to put his wrestlers under the control of decisions that could impact them in this way, but Jamin cuts him off and tells him not to do that, not for him nor the fans. It doesn't matter who the referee is. All they will be there for is to count 3 when he pins Anthony's shoulders. Danger laughs as TPT tells him fine. But he wants to know right now, who is the referee! Danger tells him not to worry, he just wanted to make sure a tainted referee like Chris Sharpe was not in charge. The match will be refereed by Josh Ashcraft!
Ashcraft has been at the center of controversy in recent months, most notably a fast count in Olivencia's last shot at Anthony in a 3 way dance back at the June Saturday Night Special. This led to Danny Davis suspending Ashcraft for a month with repeated allegations he has been on the take. To his credit, he seems to have been doing a fair job ever since, but this is big stakes and he would be the only referee with the door locked shut. TPT asks Sharpe his opinion on this and whether or not he thinks Ashcraft would do a fair job as referee. Before Sharpe can say anything, Danger cuts them off and says it doesn't matter what anybody thinks. All that matters is that if the match goes down, Ashcraft is the referee or the match does not take place. Olivencia bullishly says that he's not giving up this chance for anything, the match is on! With that, Danger tells Anthony to sign and TPT takes the contract. He holds it up, announces that it is now official. Marcus Anthony defending the Southern Title against Jamin Olivencia inside a Steel Cage on live on iPPV, Saturday October 11. Olivencia stands, Anthony stands as the 2 approach each other. Anthony holds up the title, what this is all about. Possibly the biggest title match in the history of Ohio Valley to date.
-- Third commercial break --
Before the next match, Gilbert is joined at ringside by the always flamboyant Paredyse and The Psychedelic Superstar Chris Silvio. Both wrestlers will be in the King of the Valley ladder match, and above any other 2 combatants in the match, these 2 share a history. At 1 time, they formed a tag team together known as Totally Awesome, and could that give them an advantage should they decide to work together? Silvio says that it would give Paredyse an advantage, but he himself already has a natural advantage and needs the help of nobody to secure that guaranteed title shot. He will stop at nothing to climb that ladder, no matter who gets in his way. Paredyse answers back that he wouldn't want to help Silvio for all the money in the world. He is out to win this and become the Southern champion. Gilbert reminds everybody that we still do not yet know who the 6th man is in the match, and that's assuming it's even a man! Who knows around here who might want that guaranteed opportunity.
Match #3
Jay Bradley & Dylan Bostic defeat Rudy Switchblade & Metal Master @ 7:25 when Bradley pinned Master after the Boomstick clothesline. The 2 singles match at Rage In The Cage come together here with too much going on for Switchblade & the masked wrestler to overcome the odds. Both Mongo & The Mexicutioner were at ringside for this, playing a role in the finish. Mongo distracted Switchblade, leading to the referee also getting distracted. Mexicutioner attempted interference, but Metal Master moved out of the way and Bostic instead hit his own man. Master then dropkicked Bostic out to the floor, but turned to nearly get his head taken off by Bradley charging in with the big lariat style clothesline. Titus on commentary was quick to exclaim that if Metal Master gets pinned next Saturday, he loses the mask!
-- Fourth commercial break --
Michael Hayes defeats Fabiano Rolento @ 7:42 via submission with the Liberty Lock, a reverse Cobra Clutch applied on the mat. A successful return for the 1 legged Iraqi war veteran here tonight, gaining a measure of revenge against the man that tried to take him out several months back. Rolento would sink to the low level during the match of removing Hayes' prosthetic leg and trying to use it as a weapon, but the referee got it away and gave a verbal warning to Rolento. As the 2 argued leaving Rolento to turn his back, Hayes put the leg back on, got up and would turn Rolento into a DDT, followed by the submission for the finish. After Shiloh Jonze's victory on TV, this evens the series up at 1 match a piece, leaving next weekend's Rob Conway vs French Stallion match to decide which team will get the man advantage in War Games on the iPPV. Of course there is still the announcement yet to come tonight that could have just as big of an impact in itself on the match, which team will Cliff Compton side with as their 5th man having been courted by both Team OVW and The Blacklist?
-- Fifth commercial break --
Back from break and Gilbert is standing by with Rockstar Ryan Howe. Gilbert says they were scheduled to be joined by the 6th man in the King of the Valley, but no sign of him. Howe says that is alright because no matter who the 6th man is, he's climbing that ladder like it was the charts and just like a gold record, he is going to grab hold of that contract for a Southern Title shot. Rob Terry's big, Eddie Diamond's an underdog, Paredyse is unorthodox, and Chris Silvio will do whatever it takes, but he is the rising star in this match and none of them will be able to stop him from reaching his destiny. And just then, familiar music hits as the crowd erupts into cheer. For the first time in 3 months, last seen at the July Saturday Night Special on the losing end of an Ironman match with Jamin Olivencia, it is The Pope Elijah Burke! Gilbert asks if he is the 6th man as Burke tells him that not only is he the 6th man, but the only man. See, Rockstar here's speaking of destiny, but it is The Pope's destiny to become the Southern champion 1 more time. Whether it's Jamin or Marcus Anthony, he's gonna climb that ladder and cash in because Pope is pimpin!
With the fans still buzzing on that, the commentators are ready to go over the current lineup for Rage In The Cage. The event will be live on iPPV next Saturday night, October 11, streaming from right here inside the Davis Arena. Never before have the stakes been this high in so many matches.
- Jamin Olivencia vs Marcus Anthony (c) for the Southern Heavyweight Title inside a Steel Cage
- The Skywalkers (c) vs. Los Locos for the Southern Tag Team Title
- Metal Master vs. Dylan Bostic (c) in a Mask vs TV Title match
- Gauntlet match for the Women's Title with Jessie Belle (c), Heidi Lovelace, Taeler Hendrix, The Blossom Twins, Scarlett Bordeaux, Nikki St. John, Solo Darling, Mary Elizabeth Monroe, and Ray Lynn.
- King of The Valley ladder match with Rob Terry, Ryan Howe, Chris Silvio, Paredyse, Eddie Diamond, and a returning Elijah Burke. Winner receives a guaranteed shot at the Southern Heavyweight Title whenever they choose.
- Rudy Switchblade vs Jay Bradley
- War Games match with Team OVW - Nick Dinsmore, Rob Conway, Mohammad Ali Vaez, Michael Hayes, and a 5th partner, against The Blacklist - Doug Basham, Shiloh Jonze, The French Stallion, Fabiano Rolento, and a 5th partner. If The Blacklist win, Basham is the new Director of Authority, vowing to fire not only Trailer Park Trash, but all of Team OVW. If Team OVW wins, Basham must leave and The Blacklist must disband. We know Cliff Compton may play a role as both teams have been courting his services, and what that role might be, we will now find out ...
And with that the introduction is given for Mr. Media Cliff Compton to head out to a big reaction from the fans. Clearly they are still solidly in his corner, for now anyway, although there are scattered boos. That could change depending which side he choose to go with in mere minutes. Compton tells Bolin to get up because his gravitational pull is drawing him to the mat and he needs to be standing for this. The fans laugh as Bolin gets upset by that. Compton continues and asks Bolin if he got confused and only had him here because he used to go by Domino, but not to disappoint him, he didn't bring an extra large pizzas with him. He's sure though that the Dominos has his GPS position so they know where to find him right now for delivery, but on second thought, everybody knows where Bolin is because it'd be impossible not to. Just look out the door, he's that big. Bolin says enough! He stands with the aid of a cane and tells Compton that he invited him here not to be insulted but to get an answer. Quite frankly he could care less which side he chooses because he knows that contrary to popular belief, all Compton is doing is ensuring a loss for that side. Compton tells Bolin that he's 1 to talk about losses since all he's used to is gains every time he steps on the scale. If he'd shut up though for 5 seconds, Compton will tell him and all the fans who he's choosing. But before he can continue ...
Doug Basham is out to the ring. Bolin says that finally some real talent out here. Basham tells them that he just wanted to be here so he could shake Compton's hand when he announces that he's siding with the rightful choice, The Blacklist. Compton's had no opportunity here under Danny Davis & TPT, but under Basham, he will have it all. Mr. Media will truly be Mr. Media. TV interviews, magazine covers, commercials. The sky is the limit when Doug Basham is in charge of things here. Compton says that all might be true BUT ... the fans cheer sensing what's coming ... this is about more than just him. This is about the future of Ohio Valley. The slogan says it all, tomorrow's superstars, today, and Compton says he once fit into that category. Because of the training given to him here, he's wrestled everywhere. Whether it was tag teaming with Deuce in the big time or taking on Power Uti in a Nigerian nightmare that would have to be the low time, he's made a living doing this. And he hates to break it to Basham, but he's had TV interviews, magazine covers, and commercials. Basham may have never had these things, but he did. So with that in mind, thanks, but no thanks, he's going to be standing firmly in the corner of Team OVW at War Games. The fans go wild at this while Basham puts his hand up to his face, looking incredibly upset with this decision.
Bolin tells Compton to get out of this ring right now because he is not deserving of sharing it with a legend like Basham. Compton in response tells Bolin to get out of the ring, but give him time to get a forklift over here first. Basham tells Bolin to calm down becuse this is all fine. See, Cliff Compton was trained in this environment made by Danny Davis, trained in Ohio Valley, he doesn't know any better. How could he? Take 1 last look at things because once The Blacklist wins inside War Games, Compton can forget about ever stepping foot in here again. If he wants to work for Ohio Valley, he can referee. No better yet, he can work merch. The janitor, whatever, but he will never wrestle in this ring again! Not here, not anywhere! Compton asks Basham who he thinks will be the man to keep him down because if it's Basham himself, he can forget it. Basham answers back not him, but he came prepared. Compton might have been plan A, but meet plan B ... and with that Compton turns to get whacked in the head by a steel chair! A masked man has entered the ring. Basham tells him that not everybody is as loyal to Danny Davis as Compton is and at least 1 wrestler back there was smart enough to see the writing on the wall. 1 wrestler has been held down. 1 wrestler made the right decision, and this is teammate #5. And with that, both teams are now complete - Compton joining Team OVW, and apparently a still unknown masked turncoat joining The Blacklist.
Lots of happenings here tonight, and remember that next weekend on TV, it's the final match in the Best of 3, Rob Conway vs The French Stallion. The winner earns his team the man advantage for War Games, which it now seems is all that more important with what we just saw. Also, it's Rage In The Cage, Saturday October 11, live on iPPV. Don't miss it!

Contract Signing for Rage In The Cage
First out is the challenger Jamin Olivencia to a big pop. That is followed by the reigning and defending Southern champion Marcus Anthony along with his manager Timmy Danger. There is a brief stare down before TPT gets in between them and sends them to opposite sides of the table, although not without Anthony almost taking out TPT himself for getting in his way. Gilbert holds the mic for TPT, who tells both men that they know why they are here right now. Rage In The Cage is Saturday, October 11, live on iPPV. The match is Jamin Olivencia challenging Marcus Anthony for the Southern Title inside a Steel Cage. The match will be first pinfall or submission wins, and the escape the cage rule is not in effect for this match. The goal is simple, keep interference out, which TPT seems to address directly towards Danger. Now if they could sign the contract and make it official. Anthony gets the contract but Danger says no. The challenger signs first! Olivencia takes it and wastes little time signing the document. As it comes back, Danger grabs it and says to hold on a minute here. What is this about???VS |

The Bolin Alley with guest Cliff Compton
Out from the back on his motorized scooter comes the Starmaker Kenny Bolin. Dean says he hopes the ring has been reenforced for this. Titus points out that next week we're seeing 10 wrestlers and a referee in there at the same time, but according to Dean, that still ain't as much as the mass of humanity that is Bolin. Sure enough the man can't even get in the ring for some comedy! He yells for help as assistants come and guide him up the ring steps before he steps through the ropes while the fans laugh it up, and almost immediately collapses into the chair set up for him as if standing another second would put him into a heart attack. Bolin tells all the fans to shut up because if he wanted to, he could buy every ticket in this building from here to the end of eternity and ensure none of them ever see Ohio Valley again. Dean gets in a line about not realizing that bootleg DVDs sold out of the trunk of your car was still such a lucrative business. Bolin cuts to the chase and says that he has scored the scoop of the year tonight because right here live on his talk show, The Bolin Alley, the answer everybody has been waiting on is about ready to be revealed. Both teams want him, only 1 can have him. Ladies and gentlemen, a term used loosely ...And with that the introduction is given for Mr.
