Southern Heavyweight champion: Marcus Anthony
Southern Tag Team champions: The Skywalkers
TV champion: Dylan Bostic
Women's champion: Jessie Belle
Dean Hill, Gilbert Corsey, and Michael Titus welcome viewers to the show. This is it, the final stop before the Rage In The Cage, live on iPPV Saturday night. And the stakes couldn't be bigger. Last week we found out Cliff Compton had sided with Team OVW, but Doug Basham had a backup plan ready as a masked turncoat joined him as the 5th man on The Blacklist. Today though, Rob Conway and The French Stallion in the final match of the Best of 3. It is tied 1-1, winner here gets his team the ever important man advantage in War Games. Also today, Eddie Diamond vs Rob Terry 1 on 1, a big tag team rematch from the Saturday Night Special as Rudy Switchblade & Metal Master try to right the wrong and avenge their loss to Jay Bradley & Dylan Bostic, plus a 10 woman tag team match - 5 on 5 - and there's a good reason for that, more on it later. Right now though to start the show ...
Team OVW is out!
At least 4/5 of the team joined by the Director of Authority, Trailer Park Trash. Nick Dinsmore, Rob Conway, Mohammad Ali Vaez & Michael Hayes. TPT thanks the 4 wrestlers for backing him up as the fate of Ohio Valley rests in their hands. At Rage In The Cage, these 4 men step inside the War Games to defend the honor of this company. Never before has 1 match mattered this much for the future of the company. If The Blacklist wins, then Doug Basham is the new D.O.A. and he has vowed to fire every last 1 of them. But if, no when Team OVW wins, Basham is history and The Blacklist must disband forever. But they have to win first and when you go into war, you need soldiers. You need an army. But in this case 4 is not enough. And when he put out the call, 1 man answered. 1 man stepped up to the plate and that man is none other than Cliff Compton!
And with that intro, Compton comes out to a big pop as his music plays. After some salutations, Compton shakes hands with TPT and takes the mic. He tells the fans that he had the chance to turn his back on everybody in this ring. He could have done what Basham did 2 months ago, but he took the high road. Unlike Basham, whose greed is exceeded by none, he has respect for where he came from. He has respect for tradition. At the same time, he wants opportunity. Both men gave him that shot, that opportunity, but 1 was about all the wrong things and that is Doug Basham. If he wins, this place gets turned upside down. Wrestlers will not know if they have a job when they show up next week, fans won't know what the ticket prices will be next week, nobody knows anything because at the end of the day it is about Basham himself. TPT is not about himself, he is about the wrestlers and Compton says that he can appreciate that. TPT says that there is 1 more person that wants to say something.
And with that, out comes Danny Davis! A big pop as this is his first appearance since being laid out back on September 6 by The Blacklist. He gets in the ring and shakes hands with TPT before taking the mic. Davis starts by thanking the fans for their support, but also TPT for putting this together. Without TPT, Ohio Valley would have crumbled in the last month to Basham and The Blacklist, but it stands strong and ready to fight. They may have laid him out and draped that black flag over him, but they didn't finish the job. While the D.O.A. was given full authority out here and technically Basham could fire all 6 of these men if his team wins, he can't fire him. And he'll be here every step of the way to make Basham's life a living hell if he thinks he'll just have a walk in the park starting next week. But that won't happen because you put Compton with Dinsmore, Conway, Vaez, and Hayes, you have a team that can't be beat, least of all by a group of sorry S.O.B.'s like The Blacklist.
The sound of mock baby crying takes over the P.A. as Basham steps out saying he has heard enough of this sentimental crap! Accompanied by Shiloh Jonze, The French Stallion, and Fabiano Rolento, Basham says that none of this matters. He might as well start taking the measurements now because once he gets done, this place will be renamed the Basham Arena. And Compton's right. Past their prime wrestlers like Dinsmore and Conway, guys that could never break through to that next level like Vaez, and especially 1 legged freaks like Hayes, drawing booing and a "he didn't just say that" from Dean on the commentary, all of them will be history. Or maybe he will keep them around because he will need some curtain jerkers after all. Danny Davis needs to ask himself though, can he truly trust Cliff Compton? In fact, can he truly trust ANY of these men? Where were the 4 of them when Compton was jumped? It could be Dinsmore under the mask, could be Conway, could be Ali Vaez, could be Hayes, could even be TPT himself for all we know. And just like the masked man that jumped Compton is turning his back on Ohio Valley and that locker room, maybe Compton is too. Maybe that's his whole plan. Revenge. And when he gets in that cage, suddenly a 5 on 5 turns into a 6 on 4 or 7 on 3, or 7 on 2 and a half since Hayes is 1 of the wrestlers.
Davis yells for Basham to shut up right now! Win or lose, these men have more heart individually than all those cowards with Basham combined, especially the turncoat from last week that couldn't even show his face. That's alright though because in the War Games, after these 5 beat down you 5, he will enter the ring himself and rip it off whoever is under there's ugly mug before he gets an extra special beating. A little bonus for their money for the fans. Basham answers back that come Rage In The Cage, everybody will see Davis for what he truly is, a born loser with nothing to his name. But that is not all from these 2 sides here today. Still to come in the main event, it is Team OVW vs The Blacklist in singles action when Rob Conway battles French Stallion in the final match of the Best of 3, winner gets his team the man advantage for War Games. Tensions are running high here today.

Back from the break and Jamin Olivencia joins Gilbert to talk about the Steel Cage match and his chance at regaining the Southern Title from Marcus Anthony on iPPV live. Nobody is sure what to think of the Josh Ashcraft announcement from last weekend at the contract signing, but maybe Olivencia has new thoughts as it has had some time to set it. He tells Gilbert that it would not be his first choice by any means, but when it comes down to it, he will take the shot when he can get it. Ashcraft has screwed him before with the title on the line 4 months ago, but he served a suspension for it and has seemed changed into a new man. Whether that was all part of the Timmy Danger plan, we will see. But just a warning, if he does have Anthony beat for the 3, then he is down. If Ashcraft does not count, they are locked inside a Steel Cage. Think twice before making dangerous mistakes.
Match #1
Rudy Switchblade & Metal Master defeat Jay Bradley & Dylan Bostic @ 6:42 when Master pinned Bostic after a Jackhammer. A measure of revenge in this Saturday Night Special rematch sees the tide turn in the result. The masked star gets the non title win here over the TV champion, but as pointed out by Titus, this is tag team, not 1 on 1 and the last time they met, Bostic won. If Metal Master loses, Bostic wins his mask. As for Switchblade and Bradley, they ended up fighting on the outside with Bradley running and pulling Mongo in front of him. Switchblade called Bradley on the cowardly move as the supposed Ultimate Fighter then shoved Mongo into Switchblade and caught him with a low blow kick as he was momentarily distracted. Bradley & Mongo had a good laugh as Switchblade started getting up. Bradley decided it was time to leave against the advice of his corner man pointing out the match was still in progress. Switchblade got up and limped to the back after them as Metal Master inside finished Bostic off.
-- Second commercial break --
Before the next match, Rev. Stuart Miles heads to commentary. Been a few weeks since The Pastor of Disaster's last appearance, here uninvited as well and seemingly with no relation to this match. Miles tells them that while he may have been eliminated from the King of the Valley, the big man upstairs has spoken to him through prayer and he will ascend the ladder into the kingdom of heaven and reach for that briefcase with the contract as divine intervention because it is the gospel, hallelujah. So not even in the match, Miles apparently still intends to get that briefcase anyway, which is hanging above the ring for this match to show what the wrestlers will be competing for.
Match #2
Eddie Diamond defeats Rob Terry @ 5:37 via pinfall with a schoolboy from behind. For the second straight week here on TV, the underdog EFD upsets the much larger Freak and continues to ride a wave of momentum over the last several weeks here. All is not as it would seem though as during the match, The Body Guy was out with The Body Guard and let it be known over commentary that while Rev. Stuart Miles might think he can get that contract, the only heavenly body in Ohio Valley is his and despite not being in the match, HE intends to climb that ladder and get the briefcase. So that makes 2 wrestlers not even officially in the match that intend to try and ruin it for the 6 legal participants. During the match, Terry was distracted by The Body Guard having had their issues and left himself open to the big upset. Suddenly the underdog of the match could be a front runner as the once unstoppable Terry seems to have lost focus.
After the match, Miles, The Body Guy & The Body Guard do agree on 1 thing and that is a 3 on 2 beat down in the post match. Fortunately, Ryan Howe, Chris Silvio & Paredyse were watching close by and came out to make the save, clearing the ring of the 3, although Melvin The Body Guard took some extra work due to his size. All 5 wrestlers officially in the King of the Valley ladder match were in the ring and started arguing over which of them would be winning that contract when from the back came the new 6th participant as announced on the Saturday Night Special. With his music playing, Pope Elijah Burke walked out and took away all eyes. He pointed up to the briefcase and let the other 5 know that he intends to leave with it.
-- Third commercial break --
Before the next match, Southern champion Marcus Anthony & manager Timmy Danger were out to talk with Gilbert. Asked on why the additional stipulation of Josh Ashcraft as referee, Danger told him that it was to ensure there was fair and balanced officiating in the title match. Gilbert presses, but why specifically Ashcraft? Point blank, is he being paid off by Danger? Anthony interrupts and tells everybody that he needs no tainted refereeing. He needs no Steel Cage. All he needs is his bare hands to rip apart Olivencia like he has everybody else put before him. At Rage In The Cage, he walks in Southern champion, and he leaves Southern champion. Danger says hopefully that answers everybody's questions. Gilbert says it doesn't really but in the face of Anthony, he'll take it for now.
Match #3
Raul Lamotta defeats Robbie Walker @ 4:51 via submission to the cross face chicken wing. The 2 wrestlers are joined at ringside respectively by Anarquia and Aaron Sky after what happened last weekend at the Saturday Night Special. The reunited Los Locos will now challenge The Sky Walkers for the Tag Team Title at Rage In The Cage and the once perennial loser in Rudo Lamotta picks up another victory here this week that has to have his team in the driver's seat heading into the title match. While it has been a while since they last teamed, Los Locos are multiple time champions in this area from the late 2000s and likely plan on picking things up right where they left off. The Sky Walkers meanwhile will look to prove themselves worthy champions in their first defense.
-- Fourth commercial break --
Before the next match, Tracy Smothers is out to join on commentary. Dean warns to have that bleep button ready, but Smothers says he is just here to talk about the injustice that is his daughter Jessie Belle having to defend her title against not 1, but 9 other women in a gauntlet match. He says that if Ohio Valley wanted to give all them women work, there's some dishes need cleaning and toilets need scrubbing back there. And it begins.
Match #4
Heidi Lovelace, The Blossom Twins, Mary Elizabeth Monroe & Solo Darling defeat Jessie Belle, Taeler Hendrix, Nikki St. John, Scarlett Bordeaux & Ray Lynn @ 4:29 when Monroe made Lynn tap out to the Rainbow Cross, a modified STF. Big win here for Monroe as she continues to impress since her debut and would certainly have to be considered 1 of the favorites heading into the match. But in a gauntlet match, the order of entry is of the utmost importance and #1 and #2 have their work cut out a lot more than #10 if they want to win this thing. After the match, the women start arguing leading to Smothers standing up with the Women's Title in possession and taking a mic to tell all them trailer trash to stop bickering because none of it matters. Come Rage In The Cage, only 1 woman's leaving with this here belt and you're looking at her, Jessie Belle! She thanks "daddy" and starts do si do'ing around, until turning around to see 9 upset women ready to take her head off. She exits the ring as they charge, but come the iPPV, the odds are not in her favor. The other women start arguing, what they do best according to Smothers.
-- Fifth commercial break --
Back from break and the commentators are ready to go over the lineup for Rage In The Cage. The event will be live on iPPV on Saturday night, October 11, streaming from right here inside the Davis Arena. Never before have the stakes been this high in so many matches.
- Jamin Olivencia vs Marcus Anthony (c) for the Southern Heavyweight Title inside a Steel Cage
- The Skywalkers (c) vs. Los Locos for the Southern Tag Team Title
- Metal Master vs. Dylan Bostic (c) in a Mask vs TV Title match
- Gauntlet match for the Women's Title with Jessie Belle (c), Heidi Lovelace, Taeler Hendrix, The Blossom Twins, Scarlett Bordeaux, Nikki St. John, Solo Darling, Mary Elizabeth Monroe, and Ray Lynn.
- King of The Valley ladder match with Rob Terry, Ryan Howe, Chris Silvio, Paredyse, Eddie Diamond, and a returning Elijah Burke. Winner receives a guaranteed shot at the Southern Heavyweight Title whenever they choose.
- Rudy Switchblade vs Jay Bradley
- War Games match with Team OVW - Nick Dinsmore, Rob Conway, Mohammad Ali Vaez, Michael Hayes, and Cliff Compton, against The Blacklist - Doug Basham, Shiloh Jonze, The French Stallion, Fabiano Rolento, and an unknown masked turncoat. If The Blacklist win, Basham is the new Director of Authority, vowing to fire not only Trailer Park Trash, but all of Team OVW. If Team OVW wins, Basham must leave and The Blacklist must disband. The stakes are gigantic. And with War Games, only 1 team can get the man advantage and we are about to find out which ...
The French Stallion defeats Rob Conway @ 8:25 via DQ. With Josh Ashcraft serving as referee, some controversy in the finish. Both teams spilled out to play a lumberjack match type role on the outside, well expect the masked man. Stallion would end up getting handed a chair by Doug Basham during a melee with the wrestlers to use on Conway. Cliff Compton however was quickly in as Stallion swung the chair back and grabbed it away from behind. Ashcraft turned around to see Compton holding the chair in the ring and immediately called for the bell for the DQ. Stallion says yeah, Compton hit him with it even though he hadn't. It's hard to judge Ashcraft based on what he saw, but that was flat out the wrong call for the match. Titus points out Ashcraft only saw Compton holding the chair, how would he know what happened before, and if anything, this decision probably saved Stallion from getting hit. It was preemptive. The Blacklist gets the man advantage, but now the focus turns to Team OVW as Compton can be considered to have cost them the match. Conway seems upset by him getting in there, even questioning if he is fact a Basham turncoat, meanwhile Compton starts questioning if Conway or any of them for that matter were under that mask last week, and it looks like problems have started. Basham stands outside with his 3 men laughing at the chaos as Danny Davis and TPT are left trying to get their men to relax. Things not looking good at the eleventh hour before War Games.
We're out of time though! Make sure you log on to the Ohio Valley website or WWN Live, catch Rage In The Cage live on iPPV. 7 huge matches. The future of the company is on the line. Don't miss it!
