PRESHOW MATCH
Mark Maverick vs. Zac Vincent
This was a debut for Maverick, but this was a match for Vincent to shine.
PRESHOW MATCH
Jeremiah Plunkett vs. Shawn Shultz
I'm pretty high on both of these guys and let them put on a nice little match before the camera's started to roll. Plunkett got the nod using his knock out punch.
The show opens with Jax Dane and Satoshi Kojima in the ring recalling last weeks attack from Pearce, Wilcott & Marconi. Dane challenges the three men to a match later in the night. This brought out James Gibson the new GM of NWA East who tells Dane and Kojima if they want to have a match with Marconi and company they needed to find themselves a tag team partner. The call to arms quickly yeilded local fan favorite Chance Prophet setting up the main event of the evening.
SINGLES MATCH
Jock Samson vs. Houston Carson
I was happy with the dark matches getting the crowd into the show, but I really wanted to stoke the flames from the get go. Samson and I sat down before the show and came up with him bellowing out "YEEEEEEE HAW!" as he rattled his cow bell and it really picked up with the crowd getting them fired up. Samson put Carson down with a big spinebuster before yelling YEEHAW again to the hot crowd.
The show plays a hype video for the NWA World Heavyweight champion Samoa Joe.
TAG TEAM MATCH
Ron Mathis & Tanner Reynolds vs. The Modern Day Heroes(Kevin Douglas & Shark Boy)
The Modern Day Heroes are obvious fan favorites so I booked this one to give them a win, and entertain the younger audience at the same time.
The show cuts backstage where Steve Corino is talking up his client, the diamond in the rough of NWA East, and the master of the discus elbow! Corino talks about the fact that not even the NWA World Jr. Champion Daniel Bryan could beat Chase (Yeah he failed to mention that the match was thrown out due to DQ!) Corino made a lot of bold and ridiculous claims about the skills of Owen, but guarenteed that sooner or later they'll all come true, including Chase being the next NWA Jr. champion!
SINGLES MATCH
"Sweet" Samuel Elias vs. Colt Cabana
I thought a win would do more for Elias than Cabana who already has a pretty great reputation. I let the boys have pretty free reign on what they wanted to do with this match, my only real note was that Elias would go over with a surprise school boy roll up, and afterwards celebrate like he single handedly won the world series in obnoxious fashion.
TAG TEAM MATCH
The Reapers(Jason Gory & Matt Conard) vs. Sons of Chaos(Phil Monahan & Damien Wayne)
I've been booking the Sons of Chaos as an unstoppable duo and tonight was no different as they laid waste to the Reapers going into Fall Brawl.
SINGLES MATCH
Jason Kincaid vs. Chase Owens w/ Steve Corino
This match was geared towards making Chase Owens discus elbow something to be feared. I had Chase tease the knock out shot with Kincaid doing what he could to avoid the hit. I also wanted Owens to look good going into Fall Brawl and I'd like to think both motives were accomplished when Owens finally hit his discus elbow to take out Kincaid who did a pretty nice sell.
SIX MAN TAG TEAM MATCH
Adam Pearce, Byron Wilcott & Lou Marconi vs. Jax Dane, Satoshi Kojima & Chance Prophet
I want this team of Pearce, Wilcott & Marconi to become a force to be reckoned with so after a nice match up with Dane leveling Pearce and Marconi with a set of spears, Pearce would end the match with a DQ after blasting Dane with a chair! Both teams would end up brawling after the match was thrown out fighting into the crowd giving the fans an up close and personal visit with some of the stars of NWA East.
