PRESHOW MATCH
Tyson Dean vs. Jeremiah Plunkett

The first of the preshow matches, Jeremiah Plunkett went over with his knock out punch. Plunkett is going to be a future star for me and these matches are getting him prepared for a strong television debut when the time is right.

PRESHOW MATCH
Jason Gory vs. Mark Maverick

Gory is super talented and this match was used to heat up the crowd going into the taping. Jason got the nod in this match.


An opening vignette showing off the reign of Samoa Joe as the NWA World Heavyweight champion and that he will be in action tonight against Jock Samson!

SINGLES MATCH
Houston Carson vs. "Sweet" Samuel Elias

Houston Carson has a lot of talent, so I tried to give him a bit of a gimmick, coming out in a cowboy hat and using some moves HBK made famous and it looked to help. Samuel Elias though got the victory after slapping on a figure four leg lock forcing Carson to submit.


The show cuts to the backstage area where Byron Wilcott is talking to NWA East GM, Jamie Noble. Chance Prophet comes into the shot blasting Wilcott with a huge clothesline before following up with a punt style kick to the head of Wilcott that has Noble cringing as Wilcott looks seriously hurt. Jamie tries to talk to Prophet, but Chance ignores him walking off. I want to see how it goes if I book Chance as a "good guy" who does questionable things against "bad guys"

SINGLES MATCH
"Classic" Chase Owens w/ Steve Corino vs. Shockwave the Robot

Shockwave was another opponent for Owens to lay out with the discus elbow.

TAG TEAM MATCH
Ron Mathis & Tanner Reynolds vs. Arrick Andrews & Vordell Walker

Andrews and Walker are quickly becoming the team that could knock the Sons of Chaos off of their winning streak.


After the match the Sons of Chaos would step out onto the ramp watching the team of Andrews and Walker.

SINGLES MATCH
Colt Cabana vs. Kahagas

These two guys were given the chance to show off and they had a great match that saw Cabana come away with the win after the Colt 45.

SINGLES MATCH
Adam Pearce vs. Satoshi Kojima

Another top tier match with Pearce coming away with the win after a big match. This will put Cabana against Pearce at the next show with the winner getting a shot at Samoa Joe.

NWA EAST TITLE MATCH
Jax Dane vs. Lou Marconi

Chance Prophet would come out during this match but would end up getting taken out in hand cuffs for what he did earlier to Wilcott. The whole situation was a distraction and Marconi was able to blast Dane with the NWA EAST title to retain his championship.

NON-TITLE MATCH
Jock Samson vs. Samoa Joe

Mr. Cow Bells and Rebel Yells Jock Samson had the crowd in his pocket as he faced off against the NWA World Heavyweight champion. Samson put on a great showing but eventually was locked in the Coquina Clutch forcing him to tap out. This gave Samoa Joe a solid win going into Fall Brawl against Chris Masters.

Good to see Gory get the win in the televised opener. I'd have liked to have a little more on Elias in the match against Houston to know why it was he would go over him. Pearce and Cabana is always one that delivers, so you made a safe and solid choice setting up a future match with them; either man will make for an entertaining match against the Champ. Chance Prophet is a "punisher" of sorts, and I think there is potential there. I like how you made him have consequences for his vigilante justice, making him more sympathetic to the crowd. You picked a good first challenger for Joe, a good fan favorite to feed to him as he's been turning more and more heel like. He looks good going into a big main event showdown.

Good booking here. Elias has a good look to him and coming off the Cabana win, seems to be building momentum. Chase Owens was still given a win too, keeping him relevant and on people's minds. I'm not sure what your direction is with the main title but you have built up some good possible contenders on the undercard here that could make a play for the belt at some point, although Owens would still be best served with the World Junior picture, just saying the option is there.

Sons of Chaos on the other hand you kept in the picture by making that tag team match almost like a contenders match just to wrestle them. Almost sucks now the titles are getting unified that plausible secondary tag teams seem to come in droves after that, but I can also see them holding their own with any of the 4 teams for the World title come the January PPV or April if not then.

Cabana vs Pearce should deliver. I guess who wins that depends on part who wins Masters vs Joe at Fall Brawl. Joe has a newfound fire here where even if he does lose, I see no reason he can't come right back and make a play to regain the title. It seemed a sure thing Masters would win before but Joe has come on strong under your work.

Good show as things continue to take shape here.

To talk about something jp brought up, while the tag team scene is building up in the alliance, it is still only strong enough to support one set of titles. While they may appear to be "secondary" teams, how many "main" or "big" tag teams are actually being treated all that well? I'd like to change that at some point and get some more mainstream, steady teams getting the respect they should be getting, but for now, it's nice to see a resurgence of any kind in what has been an otherwise dead division. The Sons of Chaos are being treated well, and stand as a real threat to Hijos del Terror in the future, in my opinion, if they can keep up the momentum and stay interesting.

And I have to agree, Joe has a new breath of life in him under new management here and no matter what looks like he'd still be in the title picture.
