I don't want any voting, and majority agreed we weren't going to use the voting system anymore, we made a Championship Committee, you quit that committee, JP, Kevin quit, Dustin quit, and Smith never participated in any discussions. We'd already abolished the voting system and were assigning bookers, which nobody wanted that responsibility or is around to uphold their end. The voting shouldn't even still be a rule, it was more of a... I don't know, a novelty? Most of the votes were respected to the letter. Bryan won the vote, he kept the title, and I used the voting to do something really weird with the World titles: I made wrestling storylines with them. Something we barely have any of.
I want the voting system gone, and for us to actually plan storylines and such around these titles. I vote a certain way because I know how other people vote, and if a title changes, then we might be stuck with one person for a year for no good reason other than they don't think it's time for a change yet.
I'm not offended, JP, by any of this, but the worst outcomes here weren't because I made judgement calls, but the matches that were actually voted on had the most, excuse my language, fucked up outcomes of all. You need only look at the World's Womens title to see that, and traditionally, historically, that title isn't booked on, but I put the novelty of voting onto that belt just to see what happens. Paul was the sole booker of that, I took over those duties when AJ Lee won the championship back in January, and it has only recently been voted on, and look how that worked out.
Anyway, I think the show was a success, I think this is all a bit of a distraction unless it abolishes voting altogether, and I'm going to continue looking to the future.

Also, I want to say I hope this doesn't turn into an issue, I'm not trying to argue about anything, and if you guys don't think I should organize these or whatever, so be it. But, I want to point out, if anything, I screwed myself out of two championships. I'm the only one who really lost anything here, and I'm cool with it.

I like the outcomes as they were/are. You did an AWESOME job Joe. You have for a while. So I apparently didn't vote... i thought I had. so that is my bad, but TBH, I probably would have voted the way the show came out, even with my guys in a few of the matches.
With my limited time, and in the future, if whoever is organizing the show, I haven't voted, please send me a reminder.

I don't see why you would be offended by any of this lol. Your actions are the ones in question, not anybody questioning it. Whatever the case to all of that, it doesn't change that it's unethical. If you didn't defend it, it would be much easier to let it go. You seem pretty justified to yourself that you did nothing wrong, but as a hypothetical, let me ask this. Next PPV comes around, you aren't counting votes, we'll say I am and the main event is AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe. Would you not be offended if I originally vote AJ and then change the vote to Joe knowing everybody else stands at 2-2? Or worst, AJ wins and I still have the win to Joe? Hopefully that helps you see where others might be coming from. All of that other stuff is secondary and can be dealt with. The vote is the major issue because all that aside, we voted. If you felt that way, raise those issues but don't then have and accept a vote, act unethically with it and pretend everything is fine, and then blame the voting process when you get got lol.
As for the rest, you didn't screw yourself out of 2 championships. You didn't vote for yourself in either instance. You won 1 of the votes and were the swing vote against yourself to lose the other. You didn't want either belt obviously so screwed is far from the word I would use. You didn't lose anything because you got what you wanted. And as far as the way the league voted being a disgrace or whatever you previously said with AJ Lee as the example, again, you voted for her. If it bothered you, you wouldn't have voted that way and even then, you changed another, you could have changed that vote too lol. With the Tag Title result, I don't get why that would surprise you. If you didn't want them winning, don't pick them up and push them with a post PPV program only to decide last minute you don't want them because better options came along.
As for the committee, unrelated to this, but I quit because it was pretty obvious it was just about one person's agenda over a committee. I didn't think a lot of things were a good idea, saw where it was headed, stepped down because I didn't want my name attached to the decisions coming out of it because I didn't agree with a lot of them. I was against one idea, it was argued, the resolution was to do it exactly as originally presented. Why would I want any part of that? lol. I think you are a very good person at organizing these. Nobody is saying don't. But you saying not voting, the system is changed, but then holding a vote and then you caught altering results and defend it. Calling it a novelty is your opinion but I don't remotely share that if a vote is going to be held in the first place.

That's fair enough. I guess what I'm saying is I did what I thought was best in the matches that I was writing and involved in. I'm sorry if it has upset anyone.
Thanks Sam for the input there, I appreciate it, and will do. I thought you might have been busy or indifferent, so I didn't know to push the issue, but if there is a vote and your vote hasn't been cast, and I have anything to do with the tallying, I'll actively pursue it next time.
And you're exactly right, jp, I did get what I wanted: we've got a Tag Team program, Daniel Bryan should have a fire lit in him, if AJ/Bryan have a rematch they have some backstory, and I had a segment that lead to intrigue for my promotion with Jericho making his entrance in such a way. When I picked up Hijo del Terror, though, one of our tag team champions was a free agent while the other was on a dead roster, which is basically the reason Dustin picked up Joe, to save us from having a World champion that is a free agent. Nobody wanted them, nobody wanted to book them, but yet they were the best option for tag team champion?
I'll admit it was unethical to an extent, but there was a bigger moral dilemma that went beyond whether or not I wanted to take a bunch of better tag teams that were equally unwanted that I think deserve a lot better than Hijos del Terror, and I will do better with them and try to make the ends justify the means. Sorry to put a black eye on this, though, as I didn't want to do that and sully all of the good, hard work that was done by everyone.

I don't think anybody is putting into question the quality of the show. While I have opinions on some stuff within, it is completely unrelated to the voting aspect outside of the Women's Title, which was not a tainted vote. Unless steve or cdw are actively bothered enough in some regard since they were the ones impacted by the results, I think this is a dead issue and can be moved past in regards to this show.
As for Hijos, I didn't book that match nor did I ever suggest a CPW team be added, let alone 2. I never understood why a unification match was even taking place to be honest with teams that weren't even title holders as it makes no sense. Hijos became the best choice of the 4 though by far through your booking. I don't know how you really can't see that. If you're going to go on about strong champions, making the Pistols get the gold was almost as undeserving as AJ winning, and I don't even think cdw would argue that lol. They were never used by him, never used by anybody else. It almost seems like there was a desire for weak champions to make it easier to win a vote over them lol, but the addition of Cole to the Mid Atlantic roster and Taven joining him and Bennett in real life on ROH could be of unintentional benefit as I can only imagine cdw will start actively booking them, and if AJ can win a vote off her real life antics, surely they can too in the future.

Nice quick curtain jerker to start the show. Liked the unique ending to the NWA Windy City Women's title match. Very well done and it'll be interesting to see what Ms. Davids does on the next Windy City show. Excellent use of the commentary team in the NWA Living Legends match; it added a lot to the story involved, and with two of the best workers in the last 20 years going at it added the perfect amount of window dressing to the match. Solid match between Helms and Waltman, and I'm interested to see where this career renaissance goes for the only man in wrestling who actually had a fan reaction named after him.
I've been on this board for TWO years....and it still makes me laugh to see John Cena fighting for, what is for all intents and purposes, a midcard title; considering where he is irl......and just as I type that he wins the North American Title! Hot darn! Ahhh Bully Ray, my old muse; how nice to see you still being taken care of. Can't wait to see where this goes from here as a Cena-Bully feud could be a license to print money if done correctly. That AJ Lee-Reby Sky bout was short, quick and to the point. Not really much else to say.
The World Junior Heavyweight Title match was DEFINITELY an interesting read. Two solid workers going after one of the richest prizes in the business. Jericho's interference simultaneously intrigues and confuses me. Guess I'll just have to sit back and watch. Considering I was there when the NA Tag Titles were created I'm a little sad to see them die off; but if it had to be done, it had to be done. Interesting that the Pistols picked up the win and both sets of straps. The fall out from Sting's involvement in the match, and how it cost the Impact Players a MAJOR victory is going to be fun to watch....in this scenario it always seems that one side becomes the face and the other the heel...but both sides have a legitimate claim to being the face in this. Great appetizer for the main event.
Excellent build to the main event.....Spring Stampede seems like it was forever ago. Good lord has Joe become a sadistic SOB since I left.....kudos to whoever is writing his material right now. The story told in this match is just awesome. The evolution of Masters is absolutely amazing. I felt bad when he lost to CM Punk in the first round of the title tournament but he gained a lot by losing. One could REALLY argue that he deserved to win this one considering Joe had to do everything but pull out a gun and shoot him to stop him. The build to Starrcade could be one of the best ever seen on this board. The Great Western Forum in Inglewood....historic arena, historic ppv, I can't wait to see where you all go from here.
