Cliff Compton defeats The Body Guy @ 5:48 via pinfall after The Media Blitz. Not much to this match with some early comedy as The Body Guy poses for fans and challenges Compton to a test of strength, only to end up getting taken to his knees when it actually takes place before Compton stomps on the fingers and takes control. Compton cruises to an easy win, though Body Guy did get in some offense thanks to a distraction from his bodyguard on the floor, Melvin Maximus. With a match against Rob Conway at the Saturday Night Special, the win here continues Compton's momentum. Body Guy meanwhile blames the loss on Melvin not doing more after the match, before waving him off and leaving him. Dean wonders if The Body Guy's delusional about more than just his body now because he wrestled the match and he lost. Titus is sympathetic saying Melvin is utterly useless, all muscle and no brain.

Mary Elizabeth Monroe & The Blossoms defeat Taeler Hendrix, Scarlett Bordeaux & Nikki St. John @ 4:31 when Monroe made St. John tap out to the Rainbow Cross, a modified STF. 2 matches from the last 2 weeks come together with all 3 of the Mean Girls teaming up to disastrous results. After Hendrix lost the #1 contendership match last week, she was eager to reverse her fortunes against Monroe, but no luck. With Monroe locking in the submission, Taeler ordered Scarlett to go in and break it up. Scarlett stood up for herself and actually said no to a pop, leading to an argument, during which The Blossoms just delivered a double dropkick to knock both off the apron. While Monroe will go on to challenge Jessie Belle in 2 weeks time on TV for the Women's Title, Taeler tells Scarlett this is why she should listen. Nikki extended a hand to Taeler to get up after the submission, but she just gave an "eww" type gesture and told Scarlett to deal with this. She did so, but Nikki shoved Scarlett away as the Mean Girls seem to be imploding week after week due to Taeler's bossiness as queen bee.

Match #3
The Southern Tag Team champions The Skywalkers defeat Raul Lamotta & Ray Lynn in a non title match @ 4:48 when Sky pinned Lamotta after a double superkick. Lamotta had control early on and went for a tag, but Lynn just turned to him and "twerked" in his face. Finally Lamotta would forcefully tag her in. The Skywalkers were reluctant to wrestle her, and she would instead just twerk it as Lamotta got upset, telling her to wrestle! Finally he forcefully tagged himself back in and yelled at her, leading to her slapping him to a pop and leaving. Lamotta told her to get back here, but would turn into the double superkick to get finished off. Another week, another partner, another loss for Lamotta. Given he seems to have run out of options as partners here in resorting to 1 of OVW's femmes fatale, is this finally the end of his quest to find a partner and defeat The Skywalkers?

Ryan Howe defeats Nick Dumeyer @ 5:07 via submission to the Whammy Bar, his version of the Fujiwara arm bar. Howe came out with his guitar but was unable to grace Davis Arena with a tune thanks to The Pastor of Disaster Stuart Miles destroying the strings on it last week. With it placed on a stand outside the ring, Miles would make his way out during the match and go for a closer inspection of it. Howe got distracted and told him not to touch it, leaving The Marksman to hit him from behind. Miles then takes the guitar and throws the strap over his shoulder, pretending to play, just mocking Howe. Miles was about to smash it, but Howe quickly reversed Dumeyer into the submission and got a tap out leaving Miles to drop the guitar and run to the back. Howe went out to check on the guitar, just giving a pissed off look to the back. The Pastor will get what's coming to him sooner or later.

Match #5
Rob Terry defeats Mohammad Ali Vaez @ 5:12 via referee's stoppage. Terry just destroys the already injured Vaez in this match, delivering far more punishment than was necessary for the win. To the credit of Vaez, he never quit, never gave up, just like his namesake according to Dean Hill, but The Bully was just too much. 1 spinebuster slam was not enough. 2 spinebuster slams was not enough. Terry then setup Vaez for a powerbomb and drilled him into the mat, just knocking Vaez unconscious. Finally referee Chris Sharpe has seen enough and has no choice but to call for the bell. That is enough. Michael Hayes gets in the ring and checks on his former tag team partner as Terry just stands looking down, almost as if contemplating an attack on the 1 legged Iraqi war vet. Eddie Diamond is out, Bud Dwight is out. Terry leaves the ring. Just like any other bully, Terry won't face the music of his actions in recent weeks or what he did today.

CM Punk. Will he or won't he? What is going on with him? Well write it down because it can be confirmed. Saturday November 8, Saturday Night Special, he might not be a part of OVW, but he will be here live, and he will address to everybody just why exactly he decided to do what he did at the Rage In The Cage. Some people like to talk about pipe bombs with him, and you can bet this will be 1 for the books. Danny Davis has said to give him all the time he needs, say whatever he has to say, get it off his chest. No subject is going to be off limits. Where he's been, the NWA, Ohio Valley, giving Jamin Olivencia the GTS at Rage In The Cage, even what he thinks of Danny Davis. Anything goes. So if you have not bought a ticket yet, buy 1 now because this thing will sell out, and if you are not there live, the only way to see the SNS will be through DVD or on demand. Because of the subject matter, this will not be shown on TV. Huge news coming from the D.O.A. about the Saturday Night Special on November 8.
Shifting gears though, out comes the Southern champion, Jamin Olivencia! Fresh off his victory over Marcus Anthony 3 weeks ago at Rage In The Cage, the new champion is under the same roof as his opponent for the first time since. We also found out last week that Anthony's manager Timmy Danger will not be at ringside for the rematch on November 8. What Olivencia wants to do here, right now is call out Anthony. He says that he wants to get to the bottom of what happened last week and know if this is legit or some sort of master plan by Danger to try and catch him off guard to screw him out of the title in a rematch. He wants to know if Anthony is for real or just a puppet, still doing the dirty work of Danger. He says jump and Anthony asks how high. He's back there, so come on out right now.
And with that, the beast heads out. Marcus Anthony. There is nothing like him in Ohio Valley as he heads to the ring, the hybrid athlete says Gilbert that captures the perfect mix of speed, strength, and agility. How he was able to hold the Southern Title for an incredible record setting 280 days straight before falling at Rage In The Cage. Titus adds that was only due to injury too! Debatable says Dean, but nobody can debate what Anthony brings to the table. He steps into the ring and Olivencia starts asking the hard questions. Is this all for show or for real? He wants to know why Anthony finally put Danger in his place. Anthony takes the mic and says he said everything he had to say last week! He's not here to explain himself to Jamin, the fans, or anybody. He knows it and Jamin knows it, Danger is taken out of his corner and he wins at Rage In The Cage. Danger cost him the match! Olivencia says ok, but he wants credit where it's due. He pinned Anthony's shoulders to the mat. Whether you want to blame Danger, a Steel Cage, an injured hand, he still did what nobody else could. Anthony says that if he beats him on November 8, he will give him all the credit in the world. Jamin says fair enough, but what he wants to know right now. They went to war at Rage In The Cage. He offered the handshake to Anthony, he refused. Jamin extends the hand again! He tells Anthony to shake it, show him the respect he deserves as the Southern champion. Anthony looks to the crowd, seems to at least ponder it, but ...
The Pope Elijah Burke! He heads out from the back as his music hits. He has the briefcase with him that he won in the King of The Valley ladder match that houses a contract for a guaranteed shot at the Southern championship whenever he chooses. He takes a mic and tells both of them that he is looking forward to the match. He is looking forward to seeing just who is the better man, Jamin Olivencia or Marcus Anthony. But they both need to remember 1 thing! Jamin may walk into the Saturday Night Special as the champion, Anthony may win their match and become Southern champion, but at the end of the night, Pope calls the shots around here. He can cash this in and leave Southern champion so they both need to keep that in the back of their minds because whoever wins between the 2 of them, it don't mean a thing necessarily for whoever leaves with the title that night. November 8, Saturday Night Special, Pope is pimping! The show goes off the air with Olivencia in the ring with the title, Anthony across from him, and Burke on the floor holding up the briefcase. Gilbert pushes that any 1 of these men could leave November 8 as the Southern champion.
Websclusive match #1
Eric Locker defeats Ram Jam Jon Ramser @ 4:58 via pinfall after a T Bone Suplex. The first semi final match in the Future Talent Showcase Tournament sees Locker advance over the deaf wrestler, Locker having defeated Leon Shelly in round 1, Ram Jam having defeated Deonta Davis. Nick Dinsmore on commentary gives Ram Jam all the heart in the world for overcoming what he has in life and making it this far, having also trained him, but Locker is just too good. Chris Silvio says that he almost reminds him of a young Kurt Angle in the determination. The dangerous part is it's all business, no comedy. Next week in the other semi final, it will be Rump Thump against Dapper Dan. The winner of the tournament earns themselves a future shot at the TV Title.VS |
Websclusive match #2
Eddie Diamond defeats Deonta Davis @ 4:23 via submission to the Cripwalk Crossface. EFD has shown some guts in recent weeks, but Silvio has to wonder if the man is biting off more than he can chew? He brought out a different side to Rob Terry that wasn't there when he scored 2 pinfall wins over him. Dinsmore says that he has never been in the ring with either man, but the recent mean streak in Terry is downright frightening and win or lose, Diamond will need to be cautious at the Saturday Night Special when the 2 collide in a singles match.VS | |
