Announcers : Taz and Michael Cole
Date : 11.01.14
Location : CPW Arena, City of Industry, CA
The show started off with highlights from Fall Brawl. It shows clips from the NWA World Tag Team Championship match that had two teams form CPW competing. The endings shows Hawkins and Sting arguing over the bat before Hawkins getting pinned by Mike Bennett for the now Unified NWA World Tag Team Championships.
Tazz and Cole discuss the actions of the Impact Players and their comments that were shown before the match:
We fade into see the Impact Players in there locker room.
Zack Ryder:
Week after week, we are spoken as the 'next great thing' in tag team wrestling, yet we come us short.
Curt Hawkins:
Every week, we are past over for a shot at not only tag team titles shots, but hell TV time in general! It is like we are a second thought
Zack:
So what has Sting done for us.. really? What has he done?
Curt:
He has given us name recognition
Zack:
Hell we could have done that! We are former tag champs!
In walks Sting.
Sting:
I am sorry I haven't been with you guys more...
Zack:
Ya, so are we...
Curt:
Sting, we need to do this on our own...
Sting:
What? I don't understand...
Curt:
Tonight, it is Zack and I.. Doing what we do. Wrestling. Winning.
Zack:
Entertaining the millions of NWA fans on Pay Per View.
Curt:
It is nothing personal, but we need to do this.
The scene fades out.
The Impact Players then make their way out, not looking happy. They get a mixed reaction from the fans.
Curt Hawkins: Yep, that was me... i took the fall and in the process, the loss in probably the most important tag team match in recent history. I took the fall because one 'Icon' con;d let us do it 'our way'
Zack Ryder: You are right Curt, the ego of one, dealt a blow to all. That ego you ask? None other than the 'Icon' Sting! Come on out "boss"
Stings music plays, and after a few seconds, out steps the 'Icon' Sting, dressed in a suit and tie, along with the CPW Champion, Ted DiBiase and the New Breed, Sim Snuka and Richie Steamboat. They proceed to the ring as the fan boo them.
Sting: Look boys.... Guys. Look, what happened at Fall Brawl could have gone our way...
Curt: Could have gone our way? No! No! NO! It WOULD HAVE GONE OUR WAY! If only you had done as we asked!
Sting: Look, I know you are mad..
Zack: Mad? Bro, that is only the beginning. We are pissed! We had the titles! We had the gold in our hands, and you had to make it about you!
Sting: Me? I had to make it about me? no, no, no, I tried to make it about you, about US! You think I like seeing you without a career defining moment?
Zack: Bro, you made Fall Brawl our moment... A moment of loss! WE took that loss! We should be out here with 20 pounds of gold, diamonds and emeralds, instead we stand here... losers. Looking at the hope that we can get a re-match... someday!
Sting: Fine. You feel I screwed you.
Curt: Ya' damn right we do!
Sting: Fine, then I will show you how badly I can screw you!
With that, Sim, Richie and Ted attack their apparent former partners, beating them down. Curt and Zack hold their own for a brief few moments, but the numbers get to them, as does Sting and his bat!
Sting takes down Curt with a shot to the gut, then Zack with a blow to the head.
Sting: Now, I screwed you over. You were nothing before I paired you, were nothing WHEN I paired you, and you will continue to be nothing, now that I have seen the light. You tow want to blame me for your inept attempt at winning a world championship, fine. You can now blame no one but your self from here on out.
Sting tosses the mic as Zack and Curt again are getting kicked and punched by their four former friends until Robert Roode makes the save! he slides in with a steel chair and goes after Steamboat and Snuka, but they escape, as does Ted and Sting!
One on One Match
Eric Young
-vs-
Dolph Ziggler
Results : Dolph Ziggler pinned Eric Young with the Zig Zag in 08:46.
A good match that goes back and forth. The former TV Champ almost get the win, but Dolph is able to hit a Zg Zag to get the win.
Kyle Matthews and Alberto Del Rio come to the ring. They say at Fall Brawl they were robbed, but when they win this tournament, they will not only take BACK their CPW Tag team titles, but their NWA World Tag Team Titles! Kyle said that they will go back to their roots, their blood thirsty, dirtier that dirt cheating ways. ADR said that to be the best, they have to be the worst... the worst the NWA has ever seen them! They plan on hurting people, drawing blood at every corner, tearing flesh from the bone! Tonight they will show the fans just how 'dirty' they can be!
One on One Match
Austin Aries
-vs-
Alex Riley
Results : Austin Aries defeated Alex Riley when Alex Riley passed out in an armbar submission in 05:34.
Prior to the match, Aries called out Christian, challenging him to a championship match. Christian came out and said he still has a ways to go before he will ever see a title match. Aries said that his time is coming sooner than he thinks.
This match was pretty one sided, but did see glimpes of offence from Riley. In the end, Aries got the submission win, showing that he is an all around stellar athlete.
Tag Team Contenders Match
The Hybrid Athletes w/Brock Lesnar
(Kyle Matthews and Alberto Del Rio)
-vs-
The American Wolves
(Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards)
Results : The Hybrid Athletes defeated The American Wolves when Kyle Matthews pinned Davey Richards after a sunset flip power bomb in 12:51.
This was not as vicious as the Athletes had hoped it would be, or as one sided. The Wolves were actually up to the challenge and dished out some damn hard looking spots to the pair of former World Champions. In the end, Kyle was able to pin Richards after ADR blasted him in the head with the ring bell while Richards was raining down lefts and rights onto the skull of Matthews. The Athletes then then allowed Brock to put an exclamation point on their earlier statement when he planted Richards with a ring shaking F5!
Tag Team Contenders Match
The New Breed w/Sting
(Richie Steamboat & Sim Snuka)
-vs-
Evan Bourne and Flyin' Frank
Results : Evan Bourne and Flyin' Frank defeated The New Breed when Evan Bourne defeated Richie Steamboat by disqualification in 13:29.
How fitting was this? The New breed attacked their former friend, and it was Robert Roode who apologized to Evan before the match for the outcome. Late in to the match, Roode dashed to the ring and in plain sight of the ref, hit Evan with a DDT! The ref called for the bell, and awarded the match to Evan and Frank. this was a highly competitive match, with each team nearly getting the win earlier in the contest, but it looked like Roode had other plans.
CPW Championship Contenders Match : Match 2
Cody Rhodes
-vs-
Robert Roode
Results : Robert Roode pinned Cody Rhodes with the Payoff in 11:40.
This match went back and forth, but you could tell that Roode was looking over his shoulder the entire match. late in the match, Sim and Steamboat tried to interfere, but Lance Archer and Matt Cross cut them off at the pass. Roode was able to catch Cody off guard with the Pay off to even the series and go to a third and final match!
Interview with Ted DiBiase
Ted came out and told Randy Orton that he has no desire to join up with Randy. He has no desire to play second fiddle to some snake in the grass. He is the champion and he calls the shots. Ted said that while Randy has been bouncing around the NWA, he has made it, and made it big in CPW. He is the 'King of Kings' and Randy is a mere peasant.
This of course brought out Randy Orton who challenged Ted to a match... to "Put up or Shut up"! Ted initially looked like he was going to turn down the challenge, but he told Randy: "Fine.. Next week. Title Match!"
CPW Television Championship Match
Harry Smith
-vs-
Damien Sandow (c)
Results : Damien Sandow pinned Harry Smith with the Straight Jacket Neckbreaker in 12:20 to retain the CPW Television Championship.
This match was an anticipated championship match and it didn't let the fans down. While it did look like Smith would win out early on, Damian managed to fight his way back into the match and actually pulled off the win! Damian almost looked as shocked as Harry was once the ref announced the winner, but then again broke into celebration as the show went off the air.
