CS:"'Welcome everybody to Nwa Mid Atlantic Fan Fest Night one.This is Tag Wars. We are streaming live from Mid Atlantic.com. tonight every match will be a tag team match.We have two great main events the first will be for the World Tag Team Titles when Matt Taven & Micheal Bennett Vs The Hardy Boys. The other one is when World Champion Samoa Joe & World Champion A.J. Lee will face U.S. Champion Cedric Alexander & Reby Sky. The two wrestlers they will face in the main event of the night 2 & 3 respectively. We will also some cool matches tonight.

Match#1
Dustin Rhodes & Cody Rhodes W/ Dusty Rhodes Vs Steve Armstrong & Stevie ArmstrongW/ Bob Armstrong

The Rhodes family comes out with crowd behind them. Cody & Dustin are a great team, not letting the Armstrong's get to much moves in. Cody wins the match with the Disaster Kick on Stevie for the win.

In the interview area is Matt Taven & Michael Bennett

MT:" You are looking at team that did the impossible at Fall Brawl. You are looking at the NWA World Tag Team Champions. For months we had to listen to the IWC say we where a joke. We could not be the best tag team in the world( Both men showing the belts to the crowd). Look who has the last laugh. Tonight the mighty Hardy Boyz will feel what it like to face us. "

MB:" The Pistols are dead, we drop that name. The pistols was tool for us to get over. In prime the Pistols was a faction. Me & Matt are the last one standing. With these belts we will forge a new path."

Match#2
Anthony Henry & Shane Helms Vs Chase Owens & Sean Waltman

Shore tells everyone that Henry will face Waltman, and Owens will face Helms at the IPPV on Sunday. He also tells everybody that these for men are no stranger to each other. Owens & Henry start off first. They pick up where they left off at Unlimted . They where being very stiff, kicking each other head off. Anthony tags in Helms who was getting the better of Owens. He then tag in Sean. Now Sean & Shane show why they are legends in the NWA. The match breaks down with all four men in the ring. The finish happens when Henry counters the face plant with a small package on Sean for the win.

Samoa Joe is walking past the cameras in they ask him about tonight.

SJ:" Tonight I'm supposed to come in Carolina, for their boy look good. Cedric tonight you will only get a taste of what I will give you this Sunday."

As he finish talking Cedric walks past him. He looks a Joe, and says. " Who are you calling boy Joe. " Cedric and Joe start fighting in the back. Refs & officials have to break it up."

Match#3

The Rock & Roll Express( Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) Vs George South & Bobby Fulton

This match goes back to the golden days of Mid Atlantic wrestling. This was a good old fashion southern style match. Rock & Roll win the match with a double dropkick on South.

After the match Country Jacked comes in destroys the Rock & Roll Express. They hit the Southern Doom on Gibson. Page grabs the mic."

AP:" You are looking at the best tag team in Mid Atlantic Wrestling. We are the U.S. Champs. On Sunday we will be the World Champions. Taven & Bennett or The Hardy Boyz this is our yard."

Then they grab Ricky Morton, and hit the Southern Doom on him.

Match#5 Queens of Combat Showcase Match

Gail Kim & Audrey Marie Vs Havok & Alpha Female W/ The Tommy Thomas

Kim does not even make to the ring when Havok & Female jump her from behind. Marie wants nothing to do with these monsters. She walks away. Havok then hits Kim with a bridging German . As Kim head hits the mat, Female drops the leg on her neck.

Havok grabs Kim face and looks at the camera." This is your legend, your hero. We just ended your hero forever!

Match#6

Road Dogg & Jeff Jarrett Vs Matt Classic & Brian Christopher

This was a wild weird match. Classic & Christopher are one the worst paired teams ever. The match match ends when Jarrett hits the stroke on Christopher.

Match#7 Nwa World Tag Team Title Match

Matt Taven & Michael Bennett(c) Vs The Hardy Boyz( Matt & Jeff)

The crowd is cheering The Hardy Boyz as they come out. The crowd is booing Taven & Bennett out of the convention center. Taven and Jeff start the match. For the next couple of minutes the teams trade blows. Michael gets the advantage on Matt. Taven & Bennett the takes turn wearing down Matt. Taven goes for release German suplex, Matt lands on his feet. He tags in Jeff. Jeff takes the hot tag. All four men are in the ring. Matt and Michael go to the outside. Matt was getting the best of Bennett. Then out of nowhere John Skylar comes out, and DDT Matt. In the ring Jeff hits a twist of fate. He turned around to get speared by Bennett. They waited for Hardy to get up. They double super kicked Hardy for the win.

Match#8 Main Event

Samoa Joe & A.J. Lee Vs Cedric Alexander & Reby Sky

This match did not get started all four people just started beating each other up . Joe hits Alexander with a chair busting him open. A.J. Runs Reby into steel pole. A.J. Then puts Sky throw a table with a splash. Joe then muscle busted Alexander on the apron.

Joe grabs the mic.

SJ:" Mid Atlantic is this the best you can do. We are going take your paper champion and rip them up."

Joe then takes Alexander again , and hits another Muscle Buster.

* this not what I was going to write. In the end I thought this one made the three day fest work better.

This card was a mixed bag for me.

Opener was an odd choice for an opener I thought vs placing it later in the show, but it did what it had to. Second match was probably the most meaningful match on the card. While Chase Owens suffers from the double booking syndrome that seems to be plaguing this place lately since NWA East had a show November 7th as well (which means the same for Colt Cabana as Matt Classic), it had some key players in the Junior title chase and still plays into the original advertising of a legends motif with the recent send ups of Helms & Waltman. Anthony Henry getting the fall helps him enter the fray. Not sure any of Henry, Owens, or Waltman have the positive momentum that Jay Lethal's had since Fall Brawl on the promotion's home shows to be the top contender come Starrcade, but it does maybe set the stage for a 3 way on the undercard to separate 1 of them from the pack, and there is also still time to catch up. Interested to see the Sunday show with Waltman vs Henry and Helms vs Owens, if those matches still take place.

Third match, surprised if the outcome was Country Jacked attacking the Rock N Roll Express to build their shot on Sunday, why not just have them beat the Rock N Roll Express here? That was the match you had originally advertised on this show and would have made far more sense given that end result.

Women's match was ok. Protects Gail Kim in losing, seems to setup a match with her and Audrey Marie at some point when she returns, maybe. Not a match I'm dying to see but I like the attempts you make at adding depth and meaning to your women's division. Jessica Havok seems like a possible contender going forward with her dominance on these shows, although she did just lose twice to Reby Sky in the Fall Brawl build.

The next match, you really need to add more on description. I was really looking forward to Jarrett wrestling here, and then he gets bumped from the main down to this, and it was a wild weird match, but you don't really say how it was either one. Christopher and Jarrett have some now ancient history to them that could be played up, and there is the obvious Jarrett & Road Dogg connection too, but none of that either.

Next match was another one of the highlights. A good pairing and big match for Taven & Bennett. The Hardyz were a good choice as challenger given the build of Matt here, and it allowed you to get in some last minute build for the Sunday match by having John Skyler interfere. Interested to see how you handle Sunday's card as Skyler helped them win here, and now his associates will be challenging them. That has to keep the Hardyz in the mix too,. Hopefully this isn't Jeff's last appearance as he could really help develop Country Jacked if you get in some matches between those 2 teams.

Main event was, something lol. Probably would have reversed the order of that with the Tag Team Title match. Really did a number on getting over the 2 champions at the expense of the challengers and builds to the 2 respective main events on Saturday & Sunday. Would be a little disappointed to pay for this show as a fan given the last minute switch in matches, and then not even getting a match, but not outraged or anything. I think the idea works, just again, makes a bad closer on the night to have the match never even start vs being in the semi main position.
