Brian Cage defeats Jaxson James in a good opening match. James and Cage battle all over the ring. James takes control of the match hitting running clothesline on Cage for a near fall. James works on the massive arms of Cage. James go for a power bomb , but Cage counters with a back drop. Cage then hits James with a big shoulder tackle. Cage then hits him with a buckle bomb, followed by a Discus Clothesline. Cage then hits The Weapon X for the win.

Trevor Lee defeats Lance Lude in a first round match for the Ultra J title. Lee had the crowd behind him for the whole match. Lee wares Lance down with his high flying moves. Lee hits the the somersault powerslam. He waits for Lude to get he then hits the kill shot knee for the win.

Anthony Henry defeats Drew Myers in a quick fun match. Henry kicks the shit out of Myers the whole match . Henry hits a spine buster on Myers . He then climbs the ropes. Henry then hits a frog splash for the win. After the match Adam Cole & Chase Owens jump Henry. Owens then knocks out Henry with the Discus Elbow.

Rich Swann defeats Stevie Armstrong in a first round match for the Ultra J title. Armstrong was completely over matched in this match. Swann hits a drop kick knocking Stevie head off. Swann then hits a standing 450 for the win.

The Monster Mafia ( Ethan Page & Josh Alexander) defeats Chase Brown & Houston Carson in there NWA Mid Atlantic debut. This is basically a squash match for the Mafia. They win the match a double flapjack for the win.

Matt Hardy defeats Zane Riley via DQ. Hardy did not even make to the match. John Skylar jumps him from behind. Hardy then hits his State of Grace DDT on the concrete . Skylar then hits another DDT again on the ground. The medical staff has to take Hardy out on a stretcher.

News and Notes
. On March 8th Mid Atlantic will return to IPPV for Crowned on HighSpots T.V.
. Matchmaker Dusty Rhodes says that Jan 23rd Cedric Alexander will defend his NWA Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Title against #1 Contender Brian Cage. Also the finals of the Ultra J tournament will be held.
. Chris Shore says that next week World Tag Team Champions will be here.

Really liking Monster Mafia. It seems like for the first time in a long time here, there is actually a tag team now that can give Country Jacked a good program. They have become pretty invisible recently here, bringing the titles with them into that obscurity, so the quicker you can give Alexander & Page wins to get established, the better for all involved.

Likewise, you brought in Cage, have done a good job at getting him over. I couldn't tell you a single guy he has defeated, but it has done the job for January 23. He might not have had any matches that have me anticipating match of the night (and if he has, I have just forgotten them), but the build given to him presents him as a legitimate threat to Alexander. Would not shock me to see him take the title and a win by Alexander on the other side would do a lot for him. A win-win match from a booking standpoint.

Chase Owens jumping Anthony Henry sets up for what should be a big junior heavyweight showdown that could easily have been on the undercard of Starrcade, though does a lot more for you here where it could be a main event. Still feels like Adam Cole is just "there". Waiting for him to break into the top heel role with a big program and well defined singles feud.

I commend these weekly shows, or I think weekly as it is dated January 2, mentions next week at the end, talks about January 23 which is exactly 3 weeks later. That said, it seems like you are repeatedly running shows now at a slightly increasing deficit, posting weeks after the show date. Might be to your benefit to just skip a couple weeks and if you post a show this weekend, give it a date of January 23? That could interfere with your plans, given it lists the final of an ongoing tournament the 23rd, so maybe not then, but some point. I say it now because it becomes a bit more noticeable around the time of league PPVs if a promotion's timeline is out of sync, as shows get posted after the PPV that took place before the PPV and it sometimes can hurt the intended effect.
