Match#1

JT Dunn defeats Josh Alexander & Corey Hollis in good opening threeway. Shore tells the crowd that first of two threeways with these three teams. The crowd is totally behind Hollis in this one. Alexander was eliminated first with a elbow to the temple by Hollis. Dunn wins the match rolling up Hollis with a hand full of tights.

Match#2 Ultra J Tournament Final

Rich Swann defeats Caleb Konley in a great finals match. Swann used every dirty trick in the book to beat Caleb. The crowd started booing Swann at every turn. Caleb got a near fall with a cross armed neck breaker. He was working on the neck when , from the back The Tommy Thomas comes from back. Caleb takes eyes off Swann for a second. That was all Swann needed. He hits Caleb with a Swann cutter for the win.

Match#3

Adam Page defeats Josh Alexander & David Starr in the second threeway match. Page has the whole crowd eating out of his hand. Alexander & Starr had a couple of good spots. In the end Page proved to be to much. Winning the match the plow driver on Alexander for the win.

Match#4

Anthony Henry defeats Chase Owens by DQ. Henry has Owens beat again when Steve Corino who was out with Owens throws Henry off the top rope causing the ref to call for the bell. Owens is mad at Corino for what he did. Henry says that next we go at one last time. It will be a two out of three falls match. Say Chase tell your boys to stay back. Owens grabs the mic. I do not need any help to beat you.

Match#5 U.S. Title Match

Brian Cage defeats Cedric Alexander in a great match to become U.S champion. Both men take their game to the next level. Shore sells the crowd how freaky strong Cage is . Cage hit Alexander with everything his got Cedric kept kicking out. Cedric hits the C.O.D. and a Brainbuster for a two count. He goes for the Lumbar Check, but Cage counters with the Discus Clothesline for a two count. Cage hits the Weapon x for the win.

Best booked show yet here, continuing a solid string of January shows for the promotion. Not only that, but I have to give added props to the building selection. You clearly didn't just pick somewhere at random or fake an attendance figure, as in fact a 3 second google search shows that Paul Porter Arena seats 3500. I like that you take an extra few minutes to figure that out. Not necessary and likely to go completely unnoticed most times, but it is an attention to detail that is good practice to have.

Main event could have went either way, but good to see a change in the guard to shake things up. I think Cage has been well built here and certainly makes for a different kind of champion than Cedric did. He had the belt for a while, it was time. There is a looming issue on the babyface side seeming a bit depleted relative to the heels that could make some problems shortly with match making, but there is still time to get out of that so it will be interesting to see what you have in store. Specifically where Cole will fit in to this title change.

I like the play of Henry vs Owens. It is about the results, it is about the matches. That can't be done up and down the card, but even without a story, there is one in a "who is the better of the 2?" type way that gets fans caring about the result. First meeting was main event material, this time it gets rightly placed below, and the 2 out of 3 falls match should continue things nicely to close out the month on a high. Not sure if the path will cross with Swann now that he has this Ultra J title, or there will be more of a push towards a Daniel Bryan match for the winner. Either way, they should be in title contention for something. Henry going for the Junior Title at the April PPV is a possibility if he beats Owens again, although keeping a guy up to a high level has proven easier said than done as with that, it is not so much the peaking as much as when, so striking while the iron is hot could be the way to go.

The 2 split tag team 3 ways was a good use of getting some life out of them with a different match other than tags. I probably would have saved 1 for next week to get some added life out of it since the feud is already being showcased once on the show, but it really makes no difference as this way gives more of a story within the show itself. I assume there is an error where Josh Alexander is in both matches instead of Ethan Page being in 1 of them.
