Three dark matches was held prior to the show going live on TV to warm up the crowd;
Dark Matches;
Dark 1: "Kharma" Kia Stevens w/Cheerleader Melissa def. MsChif with the Implant Buster in 0:37. A quick squash win for Stevens who was joined in her corner by Cheerleader Melissa. This duo will be a force to be reckoned with in the womens division.
Dark 2: Fin Balor def. Eddie Edwards in a very good match in 9:40 when he hit a falling over head kick then followed it up with a Shingata Prince's Throne (Overhead gutwrench backbreaker rack dropped into a double knee gutbuster) to score the three-count. No big entrance here for Balor with this being a dark match looks like the promotion are saving that for TV but Balor was decked in the warpaint and got over pretty good in this match.
Dark 3: Serena Deeb def. Candice LeRae in 4:04 with a Fireman's carry gutbuster in a match that calmed the fans down a bit after the high flying of the previous bout.
During the match Luke Harper of The Family came down to ringside to watch the match. Well we say the match when in actual fact he only seemed to come down to watch Serena Deeb. Harper did not take his starey eyes off Deeb throughout the whole time he was there which weirded Deeb out a bit. Deeb managed to retain enough focus to win the match but left the ring afterwards looking warily towards Harper as she left. Harper not taking his eyes off her as she left watching her all the way to the back.

*Show goes live on TV, camera's, light's, action...
Windy City Pro Wrestling held it's 4th anniversary show in downtown Chicago at the old "WCPW Arena", as Windy City returned to the small gym in northeastern Chicago for this televsion special.
The grapple group held it's first start-up show called "Genesis" back on Feb 6th, 2011 in the very same venue in front of a tiny audiennce of just 104 fans. The main-event being a 30-man Battle Royal that saw still current star "The Only Star" Daniel Puder eliminate Rene Dupree (Dick Ryder) in the final 2, to become the first ever NWA Windy City Heavyweight Champion.
The Powers That Be decided to commemorate that event and celebrate the promotions 4th anniversary show with a return to the old arena for this television special at the small but intimate arena. The Anniversary TV special Show was two hours long, with just lucky 400 fans ram-packed into the sold-out venue, creating an exciting and "action-up-close" atmosphere with wrestlers literally landing on peoples lap's as they fly over the ropes to the outside.
Paul Heyman returned to the commentary booth for this night only (wearing the ZG Title he took from champion Sean Waltman over his shoulder), joining play-by-play guy Michael Cole and another very special guest in Windy City living legend 2 Cold Scorpio! The former Cyber TV champion and Heavyweight Title top contender Scorpio was the former top face of the company at one time, and was a good addition to the commentary team for the night and Scorpio was given a heros welcome by the Chicago fans who still clearly love him!
Cole announced that tonight that he was told prior to the show by Triple H of a new match added to the show! The new match will see Japanese sensation Kenta will face off against the Roddy Piper mentored Drew Galloway, a match signed after their recent skirmish on the last Fight Night between the now former short-time allies.

1. The Match to Settle It All
Rockstar Spud Verses American Kickboxer 2 (10 Minute Time-Limit)
~Two former ZG Champions from the past clashed tonight, as Rockstar Spud returned to the ring to take on former long-time rival the American Kickboxer 2 in a special grudge match for the 4th anniversary show.
Rockstar Spud was ZG Champion for a lengthy 517 days until his reign was finally ended by American Kickboxer 2 at "Crossing the Line 2" on the 14th of July 2012 after a year long chase for the title. Unitl the point he won the title from Spud, AK2 just could not beat him, as Spud used every trick in the book to stay ahead. Ultimately he caught up to Spud and became champion reigning as title-holder himself for a record 613 days until Noam Dar won the title in a 3-way also involving Evan Bourne just under a year ago now.
Since then AK2 has been retired, but tonight he was back to face Spud, one last time. The match wasn't as crisp as the dark match between Balor & Edwards but considering the ring-rust involved here it was very entertaining match with alot of emphasis on psycology, with great work from both men. Ak2 had the best of the action coming forward with Spud mostly on the back peddle and cheating any way he knew and often to try and stay in it. The match could have ended in a DQ win many times for American Kickboxer but the ref let it go showing some leeway, and the time-limit was reached at 10:00 and the match was declared a draw. Spud had survived but the fans was not happy with this finish.
Triple H came down to the ring and restarted the match with an over-time period of 5 minutes instructed to the time-keeper.
This time Spud went on the offence, as if he'd been holding some energy back just for this time and maybe this was a strategy devised with his cohort Triple H but AK2 would not stay down for the three even kicking out of a Rockstar Stunner which Spud could not believe! The extra 5 minutes ended and the match was declared a draw again but Triple H was not having it and restarted the match again for a further 5 minutes.
American Kickboxer 2 though was exhausted by this point almost out on his feet with wobbly legs - being out of the ring for so long, he didn't have the cardio for a lengthy epic and Spud hit another Stunner and people thought it was over but unbelievably Kickboxer kicked out again just in the nick of time. Spud was livid, and dragged AK2 up to his feet by his mask, but a last ditch roll-up by AK2 saw a false finish get a big reaction as Spud just about got his shoulder out. Spud dragged a still down AK2 to his feet by his mask again and seemed to say something in his ear up close, before hitting a 3rd Rockstar Stunner! Spud considered a normal cover for a moment but instead pulled him up and quickly rolled-him up for the pinfall and got the three count with his feet going on the bottom rope just to make sure!
A great battle between two Windy City legends, no handshake or anything after the match though because that's not how the Rockstar roll's, but he nodded towards American Kickboxer and left. AK2 was helped to his feet and got a good ovation from the crowd as he left the ring, probably never to be seen again.
Winner: Rockstar Spud via roll-up after a Rockstar Stunner in 16:02 (2nd period of O.T)

*On commentary Paul Heyman once again lashed out at ZG Champion Sean Waltman after the battle we had just seen between two legends of the ZG division. Heyman told Waltman that he might have beaten top contender from Mid Atlantic Anthony Henry recently which puts him in a prime spot to challenge for the World Jr Title of Daniel Bryan's - but Paul doesn't believe that at his age Waltman can or should realistically be able to defeat a super high calibre athlete and perhaps G.O.A.T champion in NWA World Jr Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan without the assitance he has been getting thanks to taking PED's. "Alledged PED's" counters Scorpio.
Heyman say's he's been banging on about this for a while now, and he will be proved to be telling the truth. Heyman says he doesn't mind cheaters, he cheats all the time. But when people pretend to be something they are not, like a white-meat babyface like Waltman, when he knows different - well that doesn't sit well with him.
Rene speaks up with that Mr. Heyman-Hustle that it was infact Heyman himself who first suggested to Waltman that he should maybe "seek a little help". Heyman responds saying the only help he was offering Waltman was his management expertise and "the Kid" flatly turned him down and thinks he knows better. Heyman says he could have "protected" the Kid and took him down another path.
Cole says you mean you could have told him how not to get caught! Heyman says that's pretty much true, but just look at the facts. Waltman was edging closer and closer to Bryan-like-levels a few months ago when they had that series of non-title matches. He was getting better and better each time and lasting longer and coming closer to actually beating Bryan each time as well. The only reason why that can be is that he was taking something. Heyman says this will be proved on the next Fight Night as has already been announced, when Waltman defends the ZG Title against Adrian Neville, but must pass an out of competiton random test prior to then and also one on the night.
Cole put's it out there that if Waltman passes the out of competition test, the results of the test on the day against Neville won't be known for several days as it will be in the lab and does Heyman know this, and will the match still go ahead? Heyman informs that Triple H has told him bout would go ahead, but if Waltman fails the test once the results are in - he will be stripped of the title and Heyman has a feeling that one way or another Waltman won't be getting back a-hold of this ZG Title belt ever again.*
2. NWA Windy City Tag Team Championships (15 Minute Time-Limit)
The Usos (Jimmy & Jey) beat The Gaydar (Dick Ryder & Jeffery Flockhart) [c] w/Jimmy Hart in 10:28 to win the NWA Windy City Tag Team Titles. Jey tried to hit a big splash from the top on Dick Ryder but Flockhart dived ontop to cover Ryder and took the hit instead. Flockhart slid to the outside out of it, and Jimmy Hart stood on the apron as a distraction but was knocked off with a punch from Jimmy. As Jimmy turned Ryder tried to set up his Gay Basher finisher on Jimmy from behind but Ryder was low-blowed by Jey to the delight of the fans as Ryder sold it fantastically with great facial visuals. Jimmy hit a flying clothesline on Ryder at the same time Jey scaled to the top rope and landed a big splash onto Ryder and made the cover and the three count, and the titles was The Uso's as we crown new tag team champions!
3. Singles Match (10 Minute Time-Limit)
Kenta downed Drew Galloway w/Roddy Piper with the GTS in 8:49, Kenta pinned Galloway clean to the shock of some - although he did use several illegal tactics throughout the match as Kenta displayed a more vicious side. After the match Piper somewhat unwiseley got in the ring and went face to face with Kenta. Kenta pointed right in Piper's face which lit his fuse and he fired several shots in at Kenta which had him rocked to the roar of the fans but Kenta came back with a kick to the gut and a knee to the face of Piper, and then hoisted Piper up for the GTS. Kenta turned towards the hard camera and seemed to look right into it as he smirked and then dropped Piper's face hard onto his knee with a GTS to huge boo's from the crowd.

4. Chris Masters returns to the ring Verses Unknown Opponent! (10 Minute Time-Limit)
"The Masterpiece" Chris Masters beat Roman Reigns in 8:09 with a Double-Axe-Handle smash to the face of Reigns which busted open the Samoan star.
Reigns was announced as the mystery opponent and was a top challenge for the returning Masters who looked a little rusty in the first half of the match with Roman getting the best of it. Masters got it together though and managed to get the hard fought win over Reigns in a baby verses baby match. As soon as the three count was counted though from out of the crowd SAMOA JOE leaped over the barriers and into the ring and started stomping on the previously injured shoulder of Chris Masters!
Joe was stomping away, really putting a kicking to Masters when Roman Reigns was back on his feet and went to help Masters nailing Joe with a lariat but Reigns went for a spear and missed hitting the turnbuckle. Joe lifted Reigns up onto the top rope in the turnbuckle and hoisted him up and down with a huge Muscle Buster to Roman Reigns! Masters is up and behind Joe though and goes for The Masterlock! But Joe fight's it off and they run the ropes, Masters hit's a BIG shoulder block sending Joe down - a big sign that his shoulder is now fine! Joe wobbles up to his feet and Masters send's him flying over the top rope with a big clothesline!
Joe is dazed and makes an exit through the crowd as Masters attends to Reigns, and then get's up on the turnbuckle pointing towards Samoa Joe and doing a slitting the throat motion.
5. Co-Main-Event: Unsanctioned Bare Knuckle Fight - Gypsy Rules (No Time-Limit)
Referee: "Big" John McCarthy
Ken Shamrock Verses "The Only Star" Daniel Puder
~Gypsy rules -> No ground fighting, and the fight only end's when another man is KO'd or verbally submits. Both men are entitled to a corner-man under "Fair-Play", with Shamrock choosing Daniel Bryan while Puder hand-picked his former tag team partner Bully Ray.
The show goes outside to the parking lot and this is where this fight will happen. No ring or cage just two men out on the street. Both men have no wraps on their hands this is bare knuckle fighting, Big John McCarthy tells them to "let's get it on!"
The fight starts off with Shamrock peppering Puder with nice stinging jabs and maintains a slight reach advantage over Puder who keeps trying to get inside and clinch, throwing uppercut's and left hook's as he advances in. Shamrock starts to bloody Puder's nose up a little with the boxing and Puder has had enough and dives in with a double leg take-down! Puder get's full mount and starts to reign down some heavy ground and pound and this one could be over soon but Puder is dragged off by Daniel Bryan! Bryan screams that is not "fair play" and the rules say no ground fighting, this stays on it's feet! Bully Ray gets involved and it kicks off between Ray and Bryan until Bryan hit's Bully Ray with a big running knee sending him down and out.
John McCarthy tells Puder to restart on the feet if Shamrock wants too. Big John tells Shamrock he can walk away now with a win as Puder did not follow fair-play but Ken wants to fight on and it's let go again. Shamrock gets the upper-hand but then Puder catches him with a nasty looking elbow to the temple sending Shamrock down. John asks Shamrock if he wants to carry on, he does and gets to his feet but is wobbly and Puder send's him back down again with a hard right hand.
Shamrock is bleeding heavily from a cut above his right eyebrow but he wants to carry on. Ken somehow managed to get back to his feet and Puder is infront of him and has plenty of time to finish this. Puder could potentially do some real permanent damage here to Ken Shamrock as he lines up a final killer blow but he seems to have a change of mind and instead sends Shamrock down with an up-close headbutt. Shamrock is down KO'd and the fight is over, McCarthy has to call it.
Puder could have hurt Shamrock real bad there though and didn't. William Regal is in there and asks Puder for a few words. A winded Puder says that Shamrock is a tough cat bnd he respects his toughness. Puder says that he said he only wants the big fights now, and he got a big fight tonight against the worlds most dangerous man but he's been doing this for 4 straight years now, being in war-after-war and maybe it's time that The Only Star didn't do this anymore!
Puder flicks the blood off his face and leaves as the commentators wonder if this means have we seen the retirement of Windy City legend Daniel Puder tonight!
Winner: Daniel Puder at 2:32

6. MAIN-EVENT: Rematch for NWA Windy City Heavyweight Championship (No Time-Limit)
"Balls of Steel" Kevin Steen [c] Verses Mark "Air" Jindrak
This match basically saw Jindrak who has been getting more and more babyface reactions work a more baby style, while still keeping some "bad guy" tendancies. The finish came when Steen hit a Sommersault Legdrop but Jindrak somehow kicked out, Steen then followed up with a package Piledriver to get the three count and retain his Windy City Heavyweight Championship. After the match Kofi Kingston came out on the ramp, in a dark purple suit with dark shades, and tight tied back braids looking as cool as fuck. Kofi had a mic with him and told Steen that beating the former NWA North American Champion Mark Jindrak was impressive, but all the fancy moves Steen does just panders him to the crowd's wishes like the rest of the morons in the back. Kofi said that Rey Mysterio told him the error of his ways in his own style, and when Kofi Kingston challenges Kevin Steen for the Heavyweight Title he will pass on those learnings to him, but the lesson won't be free, and it won't be painless!
Winner: Kevin Steen with a Cradle Piledriver in 14:05.
