Heavyweight champion: Rudy Switchblade
Tag Team champions: Shiloh Jonze & The French Stallion
TV champion: Eric Locker
Women's champion: AJ Lee
Rudy Switchblade: It's about time. Finally, my hard work pays off. Finally, I am your new Ohio Valley Heavyweight champion! (raises the belt to booing) I told everybody what was going to happen at the Saturday Night Special, but nobody wanted to listen. I said I would beat Rob Conway at Retribution. I beat him. I said I would beat Jay Bradley at Starrcade inside the Hell in a Cell. I beat him. I not only beat him, but I went into Starrcade and I out-extremed the NWA North American champion John Cena's performance later that same night. And then I said I would beat both Jamin Olivencia and Cliff Compton last weekend to become the new champion. Here I am, and here it is. The OVW championship belt. This makes me the best wrestler in Ohio Valley today, if not the best in the entire NWA period. When I speak, people need to learn to listen because it's the truth. I'm not all talk like CM Punk, saying he will win it and do this or that. I mean really, who even cares about him in 2015? I said I'd win it and I did. I'm better than CM Punk, I'm better than John Cena, I'm better than Jamin Olivencia, better than Cliff Compton, plain and simply I am the best wrestler alive today. People like Jim Cornette want to make decisions that hold me back, that hold the 3 of us down. But guess what? I'm smarter than him. Not only that, but I'm smarter than all of you. This championship, it says that I'm better than all of you. See, Jim Cornette thought that he could ban Shiloh Jonze & The French Stallion from the building and we wouldn't have a backup plan. Clearly you all learned nothing from the last 6 months. You try and cut off a part of The Blacklist, and not only is it still here, but it just encourages growth. It leads us to expand. So while at War Games in October, you all thought we were finished, now here we are. I got gold. Shiloh & The Stallion, they have gold. We almost have it all. Oh no wait. We do have it all! Ladies and gentlemen, the newest member of The Blacklist, the TV champion, Eric Locker!
Shiloh Jonze: Sometimes it pays to have connections. Back in the state of Washington, both Eric and I got our start by training under Buddy Wayne and we go back. So when the 3 of us needed the favor, Eric Locker was more than willing. Hell, do you really think it was just a coincidence that he debuted back in October, beat everybody thrown in front of him? We brought him to OVW, threw him into that tournament as a test, and he passed it with flying colors. We just took our time for the prestige, the reveal. We've known what we were doing since day 1 and you all just sat back and allowed it to happen. The ascension of Eric Locker, and the rise The Blacklist.
Rudy Switchblade: And now what you have is Ohio Valley's equivalent to The 4 Horsemen. All the gold and there is not a weak link here. And later on today, I'm just counting the minutes until Shiloh & The Stallion defend against Jamin & Compton. Not only will they leave still as the champions, but we'll be watching on. And don't be surprised if you haven't seen the last of us haha. Let's get out of here.
They go to leave, but are quickly backed up as from the back emerges ...
Rudy Switchblade: We had our J.J. Dillon in Doug Basham. That's what makes us better. We didn't need some pointless suit calling the shots and taking our money. We're too smart for that. It's why we're here and Basham? I don't know, who cares where he is haha.
Jim Cornette: Well I have some good news and I have some bad news. I'll give you the good news first. Those 2 morons next to you, they're off the hook tonight just like they were at the Saturday Night Special. Jamin Olivencia & Cliff Compton will get their opportunity, but it won't be today.
Rudy Switchblade: That's the first good decision you've made as Director of Authority. Maybe you've finally realized that it's better to be with us. Gold doesn't lie.
Jim Cornette: Now hold on. That was just the good news. You might get off your knees and throw away the chapstick for my butt once you hear the bad news. The bad news is that Cliff Compton came to me and he demanded a match with Eric Locker, and he demanded it today. That's why the match is delayed, and that match is going to be next!
Rudy Switchblade: Don't worry, you got this Eric. Cliff Compton is just a joke. You think we're scared Cornette? After we get through with Compton today, there will be nothing left of him come his chance at the Tag Team Title. Today, Compton goes down.
Jim Cornette: Oh wait a minute! Must be the old age kicking in but I almost forgot something. Since that request left Jamin Olivencia without a match, and since as the former champion he is owed a guaranteed rematch, what the hey! Jamin Olivencia vs Rudy Switchblade, Heavyweight Title on the line, TODAY!
Rudy Switchblade: WHAT?!? NO WAY! You cancel that match. I have 30 days to defend the belt Cornette, 30 days.
Jim Cornette: That's a 30 day max between defenses. Since you haven't made a defense yet, we can consider this the start and if you win, which I don't think you will, then you can complain about 30 days from now. Here's to hoping you haven't grown too attached yet to that title. If you are the best like you say you are, you'll have to beat Jamin Olivencia 1 on 1 first, tonight.

TV champion Eric Locker defeats Cliff Compton in a non title match @ 6:38 via pinfall after The Hurt Locker, dropping Compton from an electric chair into a German Suplex. Compton got some revenge from Locker's interference at the Saturday Night Special but was unable to pick up the victory thanks to interference here from Shiloh Jonze & The French Stallion, his originally scheduled opponents today. As Compton had Locker ready for defeat, Jonze would get on the apron, only serving to distract the referee. Stallion then tried coming in the other side, but would get nailed by Compton. This did however allow for Locker to get behind Compton and lift him up into the electric chair position for his finisher. The Blacklist is already paying dividends for Locker with what has to be the biggest win of his career so far in terms of the name of his opponent.
After the match, the 3 start kicking away at Compton. Jonze & Stallion pick him up and hold him for Locker, but Compton kicks the TV champion in the gut to back him up. He then breaks from them and gives a right to Stallion, but Jonze catches him with a knee. Jonze then directs Stallion to throw him into the ropes for a double clothesline, but Compton ducks and instead bounces back into taking both of them out. Jonze rolls outside as Stallion gets up and Compton throws him over the top rope onto his partner. Locker is also outside as Compton manages to stand tall, but despite that, lost the match. The 3 are about to go back and finish Compton when Jonze calls them off and says to save it for later. Not a good sign according to Dean for later today when Jamin Olivencia challenges Rudy Switchblade in a return match for the Heavyweight Title. The Blacklist shows no remorse for their actions and will likely stop at nothing to keep their titles intact.

Chris Silvio defeats Elvis Pridemoore @ 5:04 via pinfall after The Psychedelic Superpunch. In a follow up to last week's Chris Silvio Show where The Psychedelic Superstar brought out Elvis to run down Paredyse, only to have Elvis defend him, Silvio had little trouble here today. Elvis did get some offense, but was simply outmatched. Afterward, Silvio's valet Mary Jane encouraged him to continue working over Elvis, leading to him choking him out. Dean says that we have seen a new side of Silvio lately, including the con of using his concussion history last Saturday to steal a win over Paredyse, but his former tag team partner is likely to be coming for more and next time, there will be no mercy. Gilbert calls it the classic tale of the boy who cried wolf, while Titus says this isn't a bed time story and Silvio is the one people need to worry about.

Raul Lamotta & The Mexicutioner defeat Ryan Howe & Aaron Sky @ 4:32 when Lamotta pinned Howe after a spear from The Mexicutioner. The commentators explained that after having accidentaly cost Howe the TV Title match at Saturday Night Special, Sky took it upon himself to sign The Rockstar's name to this match without his consent. Not wanting to disappoint fans, Howe agreed, but it turned out to be a double cross. Sky avoided a tag and then when Howe was close and needed a hot tag, Sky simply jumped from the apron and turned his back on The Rockstar. When Howe got up, he was speared and then Rudo Lamotta covered for the 3. A master plan seemingly devised by Shelly Martinez is confirmed when Sky is left alone with the other 3, but Martinez tells her men to stay back and walks up. Sky then grabs her by the hair and yanks her head back and forces her onto her knees, smiling. Before anything else though, The Wild Boyz rush out. They brawl with Lamotta & Mexicutioner, but Sky makes the numbers game too much. Martinez specifically addresses EFD Eddie Diamond. She instructs Sky to hit his finisher on him, and he complies with the springboard splash from the top rope. The 4 leave with Dean saying that Sky has fallen under her spell, Sky has screwed Howe here. Titus says Sky is just doing what every man in the Davis Arena wishes they could do, and it's not Sky that screwed Howe, but Shelly who has screwed ... before he can finish, Gilbert cuts him off and says that's enough and to speak for yourself saying every man wishes they could as he's a happily married man.

Rob Conway defeats The Body Guy @ 5:26 via pinfall after the Ego Trip, a whiplash. The Ironman continues his run here as he improves to 4-0 since the loss to Rudy Switchblade at Retribution, a run that NWA East champion Jeremiah Plunkett says will come to an end at the next Saturday Night Special on March 7 in what was the first match announced a week ago. Body Guy shows little improvement over the last match, something Plunkett says will work against Conway as he falls into pattern. Will the East championship be on the line? Plunkett says that like any title, you need to be the #1 contender and Conway isn't there yet. Dean laughs as Conway's resume in this sport would dwarf anything Plunkett's accomplished. Gilbert asks on the whereabouts of The Crown Jewel Chase Owens, introduced by Plunkett as a member of The East last Saturday. Plunkett says that Owens is a world class wrestler and as such has commitments elsewhere today. Rest assured though that his debut is coming in OVW, just as soon as Jim Cornette pulls his head out of his rear and gives him the competition he deserves.

Heavyweight Title match
Match #5VS |
Fresh off last weekend's Saturday Night Special, Director of Authority Jim Cornette has ordered the rematch for today. New Heavyweight champion Rudy Switchblade defending against former champion Jamin Olivencia. It could be a short reign for Switchblade. As an added stipulation after what happened in the opening match between Cliff Compton and Eric Locker, the commentators announce that Cornette has put in place extra security to prevent any members of The Blacklist or Compton for that matter from interfering here.
Switchblade is out first, followed by a fired up Olivencia, wasting no time laying into the new champion as the referee calls for the bell. He backs Switchblade to the corner and starts laying in with boots. The ref tries to get him to back off, but he is a man possessed. Finally he steps away and paces to the other corner. Switchblade gets up as the ref checks on him, but the ref has to quickly move as Olivencia charges in and uses the middle rope as a springboard into a knee to the champ's face. He then locks in Switchblade for a running bulldog, but gets shoved away. Olivencia turns to Switchblade charging with a clothesline, but ducks. As Switchblade turns, Olivencia jumps into position for the Standing O, but Switchblade drops down and rolls out to the floor before he can hit. The crowd is taunting him as he turns his back to the ring to argue. Turning back around, Olivencia has hit the ropes and charges out with a suicide dive onto the champion. This match has so far been all Olivencia.
He picks Switchblade up and rolls him back in under the bottom rope. Olivencia then goes to the top rope and stands, leaping off into the 180 degree turning splash, but Switchblade gets his knees up. Switchblade rolls to the ropes and gets up. Olivencia stands, clutching his midsection as the champ chagres the back of the knee with a shoulder block. Switchblade grabs the leg and starts to kick away, eventually dropping an elbow across the knee. He stands and repeats. Switchblade stands and takes the leg, turning into a spinning toe hold. He releases the Terry Funk signature and goes again, but this time Olivencia leans up and pulls Switchblade down into a small package ...

... NO!
Switchblade kicks out in time. Olivencia rolls to the apron as Switchblade leans over and picks him up. He hooks in for a suplex, but wastes too much time as the challenger instead grabs him by the back of the neck and drops down to hang Switchblade on the top rope, springboarding back first to the mat. Olivencia slides in and gets into a position. Switchblade gets up as Olivencia charges, but he pulls the referee into the way! Olivencia has a front facelock and locks in the bodyscissors, dropping back into a DDT, hitting the Standing O, but doing it on the wrong man. Olivencia stands and looks at the referee, before turning into a leaping Switchblade, catching him with the RudyKO jumping cutter. Olivencia is out as Switchblade stands and looks down, but it goes without saying there is no referee to make a count. He then heads out to the table and yanks his title belt away and gets back in. He stands and readies for Olivencia to get up. The challenger turns and gets blasted with the championship in the face. Switchblade goes down and self counts ...

Jim Cornette heads out with head referee Chris Sharpe, who calls for the bell. Cornette takes a mic and says that the winner of this match is NOT Rudy Switchblade because Jamin Olivencia's rematch isn't ending like this. This will continue, but not today when he has given himself a cheap advantage. Rudy Switchblade will defend the title in a rematch against Jamin Olivencia and it will be on March 7 at the next Saturday Night Special. Except the next time, there will be 2 referees, and what you did just now with that belt? It will be legal, but it will be legal for your opponent to do it to you as well because it will be no holds barred! But if anybody, anybody at all from the back interferes this time, they will be fired on the spot. Doesn't matter who, Cornette says it could even be himself if Switchblade pisses him off enough. Switchblade could care less right now though as he stays a potential execution here today for at least a few more weeks. For Dean Hill and Michael Titus, Gilbert Corsey says so long and to come back next week for more OVW action.
Websclusive match #1
Metal Master defeats Deonta Davis @ 4:29 via pinfall after The Jackhammer. A rematch from the match on last week's TV that never finished because it turned into a tag team match part way through. Before the match, Davis & partner Leon Shelly in The No Class Connection took it upon themselves to cut a promo on Metal Master, wondering if he wears that mask at home cause his woman makes him cause he's too damn ugly otherwise. As seen by the result, it didn't have much of an effect. The Fan Advocate Terry Boddie was on commentary as usual, joined this week by Nick Dinsmore. Both agreed that while Metal Master may not be TV champion anymore, he is still a threat as seen here.VS |
Websclusive match #2
Michael Hayes defeats J Best @ 4:50 via tap out to The Liberty Lock submission hold. While defeating J Best is unlikely to shoot somebody up the rankings, last week's win at the SNS over Metal Master and running Rob Terry out of the area are, and both commentators agree that Hayes is ready to take that next step. As Hayes' trainer, Dinsmore says that he shows heart like nobody else in that ring, and given The Blacklist are the current holders of all championships, he would love to see him get some gold now more than ever just because it means they will lose some.VS |
