Jim Cornette: Hold on a minute here. Don't ring that bell cause this ain't happening. Last week Plunkett, you were out here complaining about Chase Owens having to wrestle Ram Jam Jon Ramser, a guy as you put it that's inferior competition. A match that you yourself set up. So what happens this week? Chase Owens against a guy that's not even on the main roster here. I don't mean any offense to you Mr. I'm not sure what your name is, I'm sure you're deserving of the chance and you'll get it some other time, but Jeremiah Plunkett claims he wants competition and he's passing the buck onto me when he's making these decisions. What I think this is all about is that you don't want Chase Owens to actually get that competition because then people might actually see he's better than you! So here's what I think. If I'm going to take the blame, I might as well take the initiative and give a higher level of opponent, so ladies and gentlemen, the new opponent for Chase Owens today, former TV champion, the Metal Master!
Chase Owens defeats Metal Master @ 8:27 via pinfall after The Roaring Elbow, a discus elbow smash. Ask and ye shall receive with The Crown Jewel getting much stiffer competition this week in the form of the former TV champion. The 2 had a fast paced match with Metal Master getting in more offense than Owens probably would have liked, though not getting any close near falls. As Metal Master started to put the pressure on, he headed up top and came off, but Owens managed to catch him with his finisher out of nowhere to put him away and pick up the win. The commentators are impressed with Owens and feel it could just be a matter of time before he is contending for championship gold, whether here in OVW or more. Jeremiah Plunkett was taken back by the accusations from Jim Cornette, and him and Owens have some words after the match. Plunkett says he never signed for these lower level opponents and it's all Cornette's doing. Owens seems to buy it. Not the last time we will see Plunkett today as later on in the broadcast, Rob Conway will attempt to become #1 contender to his title, and yes he will be joining at commentary for that match. Dean seems sarcastically pleased with that news.

Rump Thump defeats Deonta Davis @ 4:39 via pinfall after the Rumper Stumper. Before the match, Davis did some mic work, ripping into Rump Thump as nothing but white chocolate because he caters all these hick fans. He needs to quit dancing like he's Patrick Swayze's long lost cousin and join him where he belongs. Rump Thump says there's just 1 problem with him joining The No Class Connection, he has something they don't. Class? He's got it, but not that. He turns to them and points to his posterior and turns around to say he's got a rump, thump! And with that he blasts Davis goes for a cheap shot, but Rump Thump blocks and fires back to start the match. Rump Thump builds some momentum on the win last week over Elvis Pridemoore.

The Gossip Minute with Mandy Leon
The Gossip Girl Mandy Leon is back and runs down some of the latest news and rumors that are making the rounds from backstage at the Davis Arena. Fact or fiction, you decide ...- Cliff Compton's partner for the Saturday Night Special will be a reunion with Deuce Shade and Cherry in their corner
- AJ Lee is busy preparing for matches for her World Title outside of Ohio Valley
- Elvis Pridemoore accidentally put the red cap in the washing machine with his whites
- In his absence, Trailer Park Trash has been seen hitting the gym and taking bumps in the ring

Tag Team champions Shiloh Jonze & The French Stallion defeat The Wild Boyz in a non title match @ 7:10 when Jonze put out Bud Dwight with the mandible claw. A strong showing in this non title match, but The Blacklist displayed why they are the top tag team in Ohio Valley in this match. EFD Eddie Diamond would manage to get French Stallion into the Cripwalk Crossface, but Jonze made the save. Dwight was in and all 4 wrestlers were left going at it. After a double dropkick sent Jonze out, EFD tagged Dwight. He took Stallion into a side headlock, but was taken back into the ropes where Jonze made a blind tag. Stallion shot Dwight into the ropes, ducked, and Jonze leveled Dwight with a jumping forearm to the head. From there he finished him off as Stallion ran in and cut off EFD from making the save by knocking him off the apron. While non title, it still marks a big victory for The Blacklist as Jonze & Stallion await the announcement to come of just who Cliff Compton will team with at the SNS on March 7. Right now the story shifts because from the back ...

The Body Guy defeats Elvis Pridemoore @ 3:52 via pinfall after the pedigree. After a couple of losses to The Ironman Rob Conway, the always delusional Body Guy finds his way back to the win column today against red cap. As with the Saturday Night Special, Elvis cut a prematch rap on his opponent here, concluding "when I look at you it makes me wanna hurl. You're not a Body Guy, you're just a body girl!". This got under the skin of The Body Guy but may have just served as extra motivation and backfired on Elvis with a quick win. After the match, Body Guy added extra fuel to the fire as he stood over his defeated opponent and did a Rick Rude style hip swivel taunt.

Rob Conway defeats Lou Marconi @ 5:40 via pinfall after The Ego Trip, a whiplash. The top contender ends up as the man that Plunkett defeated to win the title he holds, former East champion Beef Stew Lou Marconi. Despite the physical presence of Marconi, working away on the lower back, he drops his head too soon and Conway telegraphs it and hits his finisher out of nowhere early on. Now it is official, Conway vs Plunkett will be for the NWA East championship, which Plunkett cryptically says "he" isn't going to like. Dean says who cares for the belt or what anybody from back east likes or doesn't, but Plunkett stands and says that he demands respect out here. Dean says that he will give him respect when he earns it, not walking in and expecting it. At that point Plunkett grabbed a water bottle and threw water at the commentator, leading to him standing and taking a step back as he is in disbelief at the act. Plunkett laughs as Dean calls him an "a-hole". Conway steps in and asks what's going on here. Plunkett says nothing, don't worry. Conway seemed ready to go now, but got jumped by Marconi. Plunkett joined in as the 2 kicked away. Have we seen a new member of this rebel group of Plunkett? Plunkett holds up two hands and gets a double high 5 from Marconi. Sure enough though as Marconi turns, Plunkett grabs his championship belt off the desk and when he turns back, decks him in the face with it. Plunkett laughs, as does Titus. Dean gets back on the commentary and says he hopes that Conway puts an end to this no good S.o.B. Gilbert says unfortunately, it's not looking that way as Plunkett stands over The Ironman, holding his championship belt up.

Michael Hayes defeats Paredyse, Chris Silvio, and Dylan Bostic @ 9:27 when Hayes made Silvio tap out to The Liberty Lock submission hold. This match was up in the air with all 4 wrestlers coming close to victory, and the big story aside from the #1 contendership to the TV Title was Paredyse and The Psychedelic Superstar in the ring together for the first time since their match at the last SNS where Silvio faked an injury to steal a win. During the match, the action between the 2 of them spilled outside where Mary Jane distracted Paredyse. This allowed for Silvio to hit Paredyse with a low blow from behind. He then rolled his ex partner into the ring, but before he could cover, Hayes started tagging Silvio with rights. New Wave Dylan Bostic tried to sneak in for the pin, but from the back emerged Flash! After last week's tagging with the kendo stick, Bostic was not about to stick around for more. He quickly exited the ring and took off with Flash quickly following behind. Silvio caught Hayes charging in with a big boot and then went back to Paredyse, looking to tag him with the Psychedelic Superpunch, but he moved. As Silvio landed in the corner, Paredyse caught him with The Long Kiss Goodnight. Before he could go for the pin though, Hayes grabbed him and threw him to the outside. From there Hayes quickly locked in his finisher and got the tap out for the win. A measure of revenge for Hayes after last week as he now has a chance to end the TV Title reign of Eric Locker at the next SNS.
Dean & Gilbert put over Hayes seemingly having the Midas touch of late out here, maybe finally completing the vision with a touch of gold. Titus laughs at the idea. Locker has never been pinned, never submitted, he's not about to now to a 1 legged freak. As Hayes celebrates, Gilbert says he's just got word of a match signed for next week. Jamin Olivencia & Hayes vs Rudy Switchblade & Locker, that is big so close to the respective title matches. For Dean Hill and Michael Titus, Gilbert says so long and to come back next week for more action.
Websclusive match #1
Aaron Sky defeats Jon Ramser @ 4:17 via pinfall after a springboard splash. An impressive showing by Sky in his debut since coming under the managerial services of Shelly Martinez. Ram Jam was able to get in some offense, but not enough with Sky showing he can get it done in singles as well as tag team wrestling. Commentators were The Fan Advocate Terry Boddie and Director of Authority Jim Cornette. Boddie asked Cornette his opinion on the turn by Sky on Rockstar Ryan Howe. Cornette doesn't have much to say on that but does say that he's somewhat envious of Ram Jam, a deaf wrestler, because he doesn't have to listen to Shelly Martinez shriek all match out here.VS |
Websclusive match #2
Ray Lynn defeats Taeler Hendrix @ 4:38 via pinfall with a schoolgirl. This has to be considered an upset as Lynn manages to pin the former Women's champion out of nowhere as Hendrix charges into the corner, but Lynn moves and then rolls her up. This match was set up from last week when both were on the same side in a losing effort of a 6 woman tag match thanks to Lynn either being oblivious to who was her partner or just not caring for the attitude of The A List. After the match, Seleziya Sparx entered but Lynn got to the floor celebrating her win. During the match, Boddie asks on the Women's Title rematch and if it will go down soon, with Cornette only answering that there will be an announcement on that on the next edition of TV.VS |
