Danny Davis: When I began this company, I had 1 goal in mind. I wanted to give back to this business that had provided for me. I wanted to give back to the fans and thank them for allowing me to do what I loved in order to make a living. For years I traveled the roads around here as The Nightmare Danny Davis. Memphis, Tennessee. Knoxville, Tennessee. I even ventured out to Dallas, Texas. Up to Calgary, Alberta, Canada. But in the end, all roads led right here. Louisville, Kentucky. And I would say that so far, we've done a pretty damn good job at what I set out to do. Things might not be perfect all the time. There might even be a few bad seeds here and there, guys that I don't see having bothered to come out here today to listen to what I have to say. I'm talking about The Blacklist. The East. Chris Silvio. Dylan Bostic. That's fine. This isn't about any of you anyway. Contrary to what you would believe, Ohio Valley is bigger than any of you. Now what happened last week, that's another story. I'm not going to replay the footage because it sickens me. It makes me sick that anybody out there wants to take what I've done and spit all over it because they can't do it themselves. They might have the talent, the ability, but they don't have the drive and they can't be bothered to put in the effort. CM Punk last week, he drove a stake into the heart of this company. Of this entire business. His actions served no purpose to anybody but to himself and his own ego. Coming off our big announcement, the move to Wednesday nights on ION starting on April 15, you tried to weaken us. I want to say though, right here, right now, that CM Punk, your actions only made Ohio Valley stronger! Your example, it made me realize that maybe the foot was off the gas. But on Sunday April 12, Best In The World, you're gonna have to do your own dirty work. You won't have somebody else doing it for you next time and a free pass. If you want the title, you have to win it yourself in the ring, 1, 2, 3. And you have to do it against this man ...
Jamin Olivencia: Louisville, Kentucky, MAKE SOME NOISE! That's right. I was at home last week, resting up from my battle the week before at the Saturday Night Special, the battle where I won back this right here. The OVW Heavyweight championship! My first class ticket to the main event at Best In The World. But I was back at home, watching, when I saw what CM Punk did. It surprised me, but then again, I'm not sure why. Ever since he came back to this company, he has done nothing but disrespect each and every 1 of you standing around this ring right now. He disrespected every female talent around this ring last week when he walked out and vacated the Women's Title that his wife won, yeah I'll say it even if nobody else will because every fan in 2015 knows the deal by now anyway. He disrespected me the day he showed up back in October and gave me the Go To Sleep in the cage, he disrespected The Pope here with his comments, Christopher Daniels and his accomplishments. And in doing all this, he disrespected Ohio Valley, and thus disrespected every last person in this building today. Everybody watching at home. Every fan that has ever bought a ticket. Every wrestler that has ever laced their boots and competed for the NWA. So on April 12, now he wants what I have. He wants this (the title). I got news for you though Punk, that won't happen. They said I couldn't beat Marcus Anthony, I beat Marcus Anthony. They said I couldn't beat Rudy Switchblade and get the title back after I lost it to him, I beat Rudy Switchblade. Now they say, I can't beat CM Punk. They say you're the best wrestler in the world today. Well on Sunday April 12, we're gonna find out just who is the best in the world, aren't we? Me, you, once that bell rings, it's on.
Elijah Burke: That's good, that's good. I think that match sounds pretty damn good actually to me. But, let me tell you something, CM Punk? He's a no good, low down, dirty dog. I went in there with him a couple months back and let me tell you something, it was war my brother. It was a battle from bell to bell, and as much as you say you gonn' beat him, there ain't no guarantees here. If CM Punk walks in that match, if he leaves with that title, it's this company. It's not just you. It's everybody standing around the ring. It's Nick Dinsmore, it's Rob Conway. It's Trailer Park Trash, Flash Flanagan. It's Jim Cornette, Dean Hill. It's everything they've done since the beginning, on the line. So what I'm saying is this. Put me in the match. Jamin Olivencia, CM Punk, Elijah Burke, the Heavyweight Title. Danny, you yourself said you trusted me 2 months ago. It was a bump in the road, but I can do this. You put us both in that match, it's 2 chances instead of 1.
Jamin Olivencia: It's 2 chances to lose as well. You had your chance Elijah. You had it and you lost. This is personal between me and him, every bit as it is about the company. I can beat him. You couldn't. He says he's the best in the world? I'm better.
Elijah Burke: Oh, is that so? Well then what do you say, you and me right here, right now, and we figure out who is the best today. I don't see CM Punk, so we got some time to kill. Let's do this.
Jamin Olivencia: You wanna go down this road again? You wanna push it? Well I've been waiting for it Pope, bring it.
... HOLD ON JUST 1 MINUTE HERE.
Rudy Switchblade: I think both of you are forgetting somebody in your little equation, and that's me. Before anybody talks about CM Punk this, 3 way that. What I think we need to talk about is how I'm owed a rematch for that title after I got screwed at the Saturday Night Special by your little 2 referee game. I'm owed a rematch that I will get, just like Shiloh Jonze & The French Stallion are getting later today when they take back the Tag Team Title from Cliff Compton & Colt Cabana. Speaking of which, you're worried about me getting that title or these 2, what about them? (referring to Compton & Cabana at ringside) Last I checked, they're pretty chummy with CM Punk. Who's to say that later on today, Punk won't come out and vacate those belts too? I think what we need to do is act preemptively Danny. Just like with Eric Locker last week, reverse the decision. And while you're at it, if you really want to make sure Punk stays away from that title, you reverse that decision and give the belt back to me. Give us back our belts, get them into safe hands. Sure, we don't like Ohio Valley, but unlike Punk, we are here for control, not destruction. And nothing says control like being the champion.
Danny Davis: Alright everybody shut up now! I've had just about enough of this crap. As for Compton, I trust him a hell of a lot more than I do any of you 4 in this little Blacklist garbage. I know he would never allow that to happen. And unlike CM Punk, Colt Cabana has something called dignity. He has class. And today, that match will be happening. That decision from 2 weeks is not being reversed. You want those belts back? Win them, in the ring, where titles should be won and lost. As far as your little rematch Rudy? You'll get it in due time. I think I know how this stuff works after being in this business for 38 years. And Pope, look. I know what the deal is. I know you want him. But we can't do it like this. I change that to a 3 way, Christian Mascagni's out here first thing next week threatening a breach of contract. I know how he operates. Do I think you can do it? Yeah, I do. But I think Jamin can too. And April 12, it's Jamin Olivencia vs CM Punk for that title. End of story.
Rudy Switchblade: If you think that's the end of the story, think again. What happened last week will happen again today unless you act now. Give Shiloh Jonze & The French Stallion back the titles, give me back my title that I was screwed out of by a second referee. Cliff Compton & Colt Cabana are in CM Punk's back pocket, and Jamin, I've showed that he's not invincible when I beat him once before for that title. He is vulnerable. And if he enters that match on April 12 Danny, he will lose. Do the right thing, get behind us, and you won't have a thing to worry about. We'll make sure that CM Punk goes on his way, the loser that he is. You don't act now though? Every single title you have is vacated come April 12 except the TV Title because it's in our possession.
Jamin Olivencia: You know what? You just worry about yourself Rudy because this title I have isn't going anywhere. Not to you, not to Punk, and not to The Pope. On April 12, I'm proving that I'm better than the best in the world. I'm entering as champion, and I'm leaving still your OVW champion! Believe it.
Rudy Switchblade: Yeah, we'll see about that.
Danny Davis: That's not the end of this though. CM Punk still has possession of the Women's championship belt and I want it back. I want it back and I'm giving him until the Saturday Night Special on April 4 to do it. And he wants to talk about @$$**** tax, well 2 can play at that game. Because when CM Punk arrives for the Saturday Night Special, it won't just be to return that belt, but it will be for a match. A match against somebody he knows pretty damn well. April 12 is about the future of this company, but April 4 is for fun. Call it my own personal entertainment at my own expense. I've dug deep into my pockets for this and now you're gonna pay. When you show up on April 4 Punk, you're going to tap out. You're going to tap out because I called the 1 man you have nightmares about, and the 1 man that I think can finish you off once and for all. That man's name ... Samoa Joe!
The fans cheer as shock takes over the Davis Arena. Samoa Joe is coming to OVW on April 4th, and he will be taking on CM Punk! The 1 wrestler that has had Punk's number, the 1 man Punk cannot defeat. Switchblade seems upset, completely left out of this equation. Burke seems disappointed, perhaps that the April 4th match isn't Punk against him. Olivencia meanwhile heads to April 12, Best In The World, Heavyweight Title on the line against Punk at long last. An at times tense opening segment gives way to the commentators back at the table to introduce today's lineup.

Plus as announced before the break, Samoa Joe heading to OVW. Huge match, gigantic even, against CM Punk at the April 4 Saturday Night Special. And that SNS will be aired right here on WBNA-TV as a thank you to the fans for their support, and that will tape on Wednesday, April 1 here at the Davis Arena along with the regular TV. I am making the call now, that match will have a 60 minute time limit. We'll give it the whole hour if we have to. And next week, Samoa Joe will be back because in addition to the match, he has something to say. A few words he wants to get off his chest on why he took this match. Plus he will also sign the contract for the Punk match. The road to Best In The World, you can't miss a beat in OVW!

Jason Lee defeats Jon Ramser @ 4:39 via pinfall, using a cradle with his own feet on the ropes for added leverage. After a lengthy absence, veteran of the area shows up with his trademark dyed blonde hair and schools OVW's first ever and only deaf wrestler Ram Jam. While Dean does not approve of how "The Man" won the match, it would appear as though he could be a threat to many of the wrestlers on the roster. After the tainted win, Lee goes up to the commentary table and flexes his bicep for them before kissing it and laughing. Gilbert wonders if Lee could be 1 of the 11 remaining names in Survival of The Fittest, with Titus feeling that Lee should simply be awarded the title of the fittest now and avoid wasting time.

Rob Conway defeats Deonta Davis @ 4:12 via pinfall after The Ego Trip, a whiplash. Relatively easy win by Conway over half of The No Class Connection, joined ringside by Leon Shelly. The commentators make note that this win puts Conway back on track after the disgraced loss to Jeremiah Plunkett at the SNS, which leads to Nick Dinsmore being questioned on if he thinks Conway has what it takes to win the NWA World Title in 2015, let alone even compete for it? Dinsmore answers that he has known Conway a very, very long time now, and the 1 thing he can say about him is to never count him out. AJ Styles is good, great even, but on any given night, anybody can beat anybody, and while Rob might not be there yet, there's still over 9 months for him to get there before 2015 ends. Dean says he has noticed the change recently to a more confident Conway from a few months back, and certainly a faster, a stronger Conway. The question is, what are his limits at 42? Is he already there? Before they can continue though ...
Jeremiah Plunkett: Good. Good to see The Lords of The Ring together again. I think you 2 need to realize though that it is 2015, not 2000. The times have changed and this is our time, The East's time. I led the way in West Virginia, and I walked in the door and I beat you Ironman. I beat you in your own backyard, and I know that must have hurt. But clearly after last week, you didn't get the message. You're still fighting. You still have aspirations of that World Title. After I got finished laughing, I laughed some more. But then I got a call from this man (the man in the wheelchair). He might look like the invisible man, but I can assure you that this man is all too visible, and all too powerful. And what he wants is this quest over with. Done. Finished. So that's it. Whether it's the Vanilla Godzilla, The Crown Jewel, or yours truly, time is running out for you Conway because just like at the Saturday Night Special Conway, The East always comes out on top.
The East begin laughing as Conway nods to bring it. Just then, Davis & Shelly cowardly jump Conway from behind. Dinsmore gets up from commentary and gets in the ring for the save. He sends Shelly into the ropes, catching him with a fist to the face. Conway backs up with Davis against the ropes, charging and clotheslining him over the top rope and to the floor. The Lords of The Ring stand tall, but they may have met their match in The East when the time comes.

Melvin Maximus defeats Metal Master @ 5:25 via submission to the bear hug. Despite a bigger test from the former TV champion, Mr. Marvelous picks up another win and it is hard to deny the results so far for Timmy Danger's new recruit. Metal Master tries his best and shows some heart, but against 350 pounds of 4M, that's not nearly enough. Gilbert says that this could be a very lethal pairing for the rest of the locker room. Can anybody stop Maximus? Dean says if history's any indication, Danger will be the worst enemy of Maximus as you either produce results or he sends you to the dogs. Titus says that if history's any indication, nobody so far can stop 4M, nobody will be able to and you might be looking at a future OVW champion. After the match, Danger orders Maximus to pick up Metal Master and drop him with a forward slam. Flat out uncalled for.

VS |
Jessie Belle defeats Rebel @ 4:31 via pinfall, countering a suplex attempt into a small package. The former OVW Women's champion sends a statement with a win over the previously undefeated Rebel. The commentators ask Lovelace on Belle, the woman who defeated her for the title back in September and was scheduled for a rematch last week against then champion AJ Lee before CM Punk disrespectfully vacated the championship. Lovelace thinks that Belle has a case and if she wants to stand in her way, she will go through her to get what she wants. After the win, Belle points to Lovelace and then starts kicking Rebel, clearly not finished and looking to send a message. She picks up Rebel and sets up for the running bulldog, but Lovelace gets in the ring for the save. Belle starts to run with Rebel in position, but ends up getting shoved off into a clothesline from Lovelace. Belle rolls out as Lovelace challenges her, but not now. Belle just raises her arm in victory and yells that if anybody will be getting a piece of AJ Lee, it's her!

Tag Team Title match
Match #5VS |
Tag Team champions Cliff Compton & Colt Cabana defeat Shiloh Jonze & The French Stallion to retain the title @ 12:39 when Cabana pinned Stallion after The Colt 45, a double underhook gutwrench into a backbreaker rack drop. With the shorter matches filling out the rest of the hour, the main event gets some good time as the 2 tag teams go at it over the championship. Despite the tease at the top of the show, no sign of CM Punk here today to vacate the Tag Team Title like he did last week with the Women's Title. The Blacklist would nearly take the win with Compton isolated by the challengers, but a miscue by them leading to Compton getting over and making the hot tag. Boom Boom came in with Stallion also getting a tag and began to clean house and eventually finish the match with the Colt 45. A big win that effectively takes Jonze & Stallion out of the picture for the title, but Dean doesn't doubt that they will be back for more as ideology aside, they get it done in the ring.
Next week's show sees the contract signing for Samoa Joe vs CM Punk, although given last time, it can be assumed Punk will not be here, although they have been assured by Joe himself that he will, and have a lot to get off his chest. Plus after what we saw earlier, Heidi Lovelace vs Jessie Belle, winner to get a shot at AJ Lee's World championship. All that and more next week. For Dean Hill and Michael Titus, Gilbert says so long until then.
Websclusive match #1
Raul Lamotta & The Mexicutioner defeat The Wild Boyz @ 5:24 when Mexicutioner pinned Bud Dwight after a spear, after Lamotta hit Dwight from behind as he went into the ropes. The former champions pick up a win in the websclusive, owing the win in large part to the presence of their manager Shelly Martinez distracting EFD Eddie Diamond long enough for them to keep him from breaking up the cover. The Fan Advocate Terry Boddie is joined on commentary by Gilbert Corsey, who feels that this situation with Martinez is really starting to catch up with The Wild Boyz and they are going to need to figure out a way to get past this as Lamotta & Mexicutioner pick up an important win to send them a notch down the tag team rankings.VS |
Websclusive match #2
Michael Hayes defeats Stuart Miles @ 5:45 via tap out to The Liberty Lock submission. The match that had been scheduled for the TV opener last week takes place here with a competitive back and forth until the 1 legged Iraqi war vet puts The Pastor of Disaster away, making him tap in the process. With his chance at Eric Locker's TV championship at Best In The World a submission only match, Boddie comments about how he may have an advantage as Locker is not known for submissions. Gilbert counters to never count a Blacklist member out, and especially somebody the caliber of Locker who has yet to be pinned or officially made to submit since his arrival as far as the record books are concerned.VS |
