Before the opening of the show, untelevised footage from last week airs. Backstage after the main event, The French Stallion is backstage. approaching Shiloh Jonze and asking him what the hell was going on out there?, referring to the other 3 Blacklist members abandoning him in the main event match. Jonze tells him to just relax, it was nothing personal. Stallion says that his business is personal so if Jonze has an issue with him, it's on both levels. Just then Eric Locker jumps Stallion from behind as Jonze joins in. Stallion goes down as the 2 kick away at him. Rudy Switchblade then enters the picture directing traffic. He tells Locker to put Stallion's ankle in a steel chair, at which point Jonze stomps down on it to snap it shut and effectively take out Stallion's ankle. Switchblade bends over and tells him that if his business is personal, then he can take this very personally because he is out of The Blacklist, he has failed them, and he can go wave the white flag and beg for help because that's what the French do best. The 3 leave as the opening airs.

Heavyweight champion: Jamin Olivencia
Tag Team champions: Cliff Compton & Colt Cabana
TV champion: Eric Locker
Women's champion: **title vacant**
Dean Hill, Gilbert Corsey, and Michael Titus welcome viewers to the show. Today's broadcast will feature Heidi Lovelace against Jessie Belle in the main event, winner to get a shot at AJ Lee's NWA World championship at Best In The World. But to make sure what happened last time does not repeat, the ring will be surrounded by lumberjills. Also today, Dylan Bostic has issued an open challenge to anybody hardcore enough to take him on as he prepares for Trailer Park Trash's final match, Eddie Diamond vs Aaron Sky in what has been an interesting ordeal revolving around the vivacious Shelly Martinez, and a familiar face will join Jim Cornette but we won't spoil the surprise now. Of course this all leads into the Saturday Night Special with Samoa Joe vs CM Punk, so if you're watching on Saturday or Sunday night, strap in because it will be a wild ride. Kicking us off though is Scarlett Bordeaux, standing by with the introductions in the opening match ...
Match #1
TV champion Eric Locker defeats Jon Ramser in a non title match @ 3:17 via submission to the ankle lock. Locker wasted little time in this match, looking like he had something to prove as he heads into the Submission match at the iPPV with challenger Michael Hayes. Locker hit the Hurt Locker, an electric chair into a German suplex, but rather than go for the pin, applied the submission to get the win. After winning, Locker went back to the ankle, putting it back on as Ram Jam continued to tap out. Dean says to release it, this is ridiculous. Titus says he's just demonstrating what he'll do at the iPPV on 1 handicapped to another! At this point, Hayes was out and got in the ring. Locker finally released the hold. He backed off as Hayes went check on Ram Jam, but the TV champion would then hit Hayes from behind. He gets hold of the leg and puts on the ankle lock! The commentators note the danger here as Hayes of course only has 1 leg and if Locker takes him out now, that could spell the end for Hayes. Enough help gets out that Locker lets go. He heads outside, grabs his championship belt and raises it above his head. Pathetic, and hopefully the last time we see that here as Dean hopes the end is near for Locker's reign as champ.
-- First commercial break --
Back from the break and Rudy Switchblade of The Blacklist is out to talk with Gilbert. At the end of last week's broadcast, The Blacklist turned their back on The French Stallion, why? Switchblade says it was nothing personal, just business. While Stallion supported the cause, he was the weakest link among them and weighing them down. He couldn't risk that going forward as he needed to clear room to show Elijah Burke that they are serious in their offer. This is Burke's golden opportunity. Join them and they take out Olivencia now, just like Eric Locker did to Michael Hayes before the break. Get the early advantage and added insurance. As for himself, he's adding his name to Survival of The Fittest bringing it to 6 so far, and just like he stole the show from "Super Cena" at Starrcade, he will take the show from Jamin Olivencia vs CM Punk, and whether Burke is with him or against him, he will need to decide soon because that means they're both potentially in the match at the iPPV or maybe even 1 on 1 in the first round.
Match #2
Ryan Howe defeats Dapper Dan @ 5:48 via pinfall, following the Chart Topper, a blockbuster DDT from the middle rope. After last week's announcement during the websclusive that he would be in Survival of The Fittest, The Rockstar follows that up with an important win today over Dapper Dan. Dan did get in his German suplex finisher, but Howe would lift a shoulder up before the 3. Dan seemed more interested in belittling the referee after that for, in his opinion at least, messing up the 3 count. This gave Howe a breather and the chance to recuperate and make the comeback to put Dapper Dan away and take home the win.
-- Second commercial break --
Back live and to the ring where Jim Cornette is back out with a familiar face.
Jim Cornette: Alright, we are back. Joining me in the ring right now, I don't know, maybe a bit of a surprise that we can stand here side by side haha, but this is half of arguably the greatest tag team to ever hit the Louisville area, talking of course about The Rock N Roll Express! (the fans pop at the mention) Yup. They don't get much bigger, and I can tell you because I was on the receiving end many the time back in the day. This is of course the 1, the only, Ricky Morton! Ricky, great to have you here and joining us today.
Ricky Morton: Thank you Jimmy, great to be here. Great to be back in Louisville with all these great fans out here! Rocking and rolling like the good old days!
Jim Cornette: And yeah, good to have you. Now you asked for this time, and given who you are, what you've done for this business and specifically in this area, I was more than happy to give you 5 minutes of the show. And beside, maybe I owe it to you after some of our run ins back in the day.
Ricky Morton: Haha, yeah. I dunno about that. You get Beautiful Bobby and Loverboy Dennis here, we can do this 1 more time!
Jim Cornette: Yeah, I don't know about that. Not for you guys, but I think my days at ringside are over.
Ricky Morton: Haha, alright then. Yeah, I asked for this time because I've been watching the TV the last couple months and I see a guy that I trained coming out here. Talking about Chase Owens. Part of this East thing.
Jim Cornette: Great talent there, maybe caught up in the wrong crowd though.
Ricky Morton: Boy, you can say that again! This Plunkett guy, I don't know Jimmy. You know, I trained Chase to be better than this. Somehow though, I don't know. Plunkett seems to have some sort of control over him. He's coming out here, I saw last week that they had him, pushing a guy around in a wheelchair? I mean come on man! What I'd like to do is call Chase out, and maybe get to the bottom of all this. So Chase, if you're back there, come on.
Jim Cornette: Alright, Chase Owens and ... oh come on!
Jeremiah Plunkett heads out instead. Joining him are Jax Dane, pushing out the wheelchair ridden mystery man with a face wrapped in bandages like the invisible man, dubbed "East Man". Plunkett gets in the ring with no sign of Chase Owens in all this.
Jim Cornette: We wanted The Crown Jewel of The East, not the horse's ass!
Jeremiah Plunkett: Yeah, real funny. We were back there and couldn't help but hear, it seems like you have some sort of a problem with us? A problem with what we do and our agenda. Let's just get 1 thing straight-
Ricky Morton: No, you get something straight son! Do you know who I am? I'm Ricky Morton, half of The Rock N Roll Express! Next time you speak to me, do it with respect! I might be 58 years old, but I can damn sure beat it into you if I have to. I saw better men than you turned away from preliminary duty back in the TBS days, so don't think you're something when you're nothing!
Jeremiah Plunkett: I got a newsflash for you Morton, this is 2015, not 1985. You might have trained Chase Owens, and yeah, you did a pretty god job. But you're in over your head if you think you can take on me. I'm the NWA East, by God, champion! I beat Rob Conway at the Saturday Night Special, I'm going to win Survival of The Fittest. You? From the looks of it, you damn sure aren't fit and you're barely surviving.
Jim Cornette: Show some respect for this man.
Jeremiah Plunkett: No, you show respect for us! We are The East and we damn sure run this place! Jeremiah Plunkett, Jax Dane, Chase Owens, you couldn't stop us even if you tried!
Ricky Morton: And what is this? (referring to the wheelchair bound individual)
Jim Cornette: Looks like the second coming of The Yeti from the looks of it. Probably needs all that toilet paper wrapped around his head to wipe up all the crap you guys are filled with.
Jeremiah Plunkett: You're just a regular comedian today, aren't you? Who that is, is on a need to know basis, and Ricky Morton, you need know nothing! I will say this much, you are familiar with that man. And he snaps his fingers, your career is over so you best not piss him off!
Jim Cornette: Where'd you find him, King Tut's tomb?
Ricky Morton: Alright, enough with the jokes here Jimmy. Ok, Jeremiah Plunkett, let's get down to it. Yeah, ok, you're out here making some waves. I'll give some credit where it's due. What I don't care for is the way you're treating the man I trained, Chase Owens. This guy could be World champion if given the opportunity, and instead he's your errand boy. He's doing the work nobody else will on false promises because you guys have brainwashed him into thinking he needs you guys, when he damn sure don't! So here's what I suggest. He's not here. Like I said, I might be 58, but I damn sure know I can whoop you. So what do you say to it, me and you, right here, right now!
Jeremiah Plunkett: Hold on a minute here, hold on. Don't get your diaper in a bunch haha. I got, let's see. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, yeah. I got 5 words for you Morton, not a chance in hell. I got nothing to prove out here with you. I mean come on! You're calling him a mummy and all this, yet you look like the walking dead! I'm the NWA East champion.
Jim Cornette: Need you remind us for the 1000th time.
Jeremiah Plunkett: That's cause you guys don't listen. So yeah, I won't, but I know somebody that will. Sunday, April 12, Best In The World. Ricky Morton and Chase Owens. Somebody's got to put you out of your misery and it'll be your own student. Roaring elbow, BAM! Right to the head.
Jim Cornette: You're talking 1 of the best junior heavyweights in the entire world. That's mismatch if I've ever heard it.
Jeremiah Plunkett: That's the offer. I think it's time that the teacher becomes the student because Chase Owens today is better than you ever were in your career Morton.
Ricky Morton: Now hold on here. Normally Jimmy, I'd say no. But I don't see Chase out here, it might be my only way of getting through to him. If I can't talk to him, I might just have to beat it into him. He needs to learn not to associate with trash like you Plunkett. So do I accept? Oh hell yeah! 58 years young pal, and hopefully when it's all said and done, Chase will realize just what you are. Bubba, I'm calling it now. Jeremiah Plunkett ain't but a rat in sheep's clothing!
Jim Cornette: Well there you have it. Chase Owens against Ricky Morton, 1 more time doing the dance here in Louisville, and ... oh wait a minute here.
Plunkett motions for Dane to get in there. The Vanilla Godzilla gets on the apron and enters the ring as they circle Morton. Cornette backs off to a corner as they close in. The fans cheer though as from the back come Rob Conway & Nick Dinsmore, The Lords of The Ring! They enter and Conway starts trading punches with Dane, Dinsmore with Plunkett. Plunkett goes down as Dinsmore joins Conway to send Dane to the floor with a double clothesline. Plunkett gets up and takes a dropkick from the 58 year old Ricky Morton, sending him out to the floor. Plunkett & Dane regroup as the fans cheer, Dane going behind the wheelchair as Plunkett kneels down while the unknown figure points back at the ring. Plunkett is apologetic as Dane brings the chair back and starts to wheel him away, meanwhile the commentators make mention of the future here. Conway vs Dane at Best In The World, both Dinsmore and Plunkett in Survival of The Fittest, but before that it's The Lords of The Ring vs The East in tag team action at the Saturday Night Special.
-- Third commercial break --
Back from break and Gilbert is with Timmy Danger and his client Melvin Maximus. Gilbert admits that since their partnership, it would seem that nobody in Ohio Valley is capable of stopping Mr. Marvelous. Danger laughs and says that's right. He's bigger, stronger, badder than anybody in the back, and just to prove it, he's entering 4M into Survival of The Fittest as the 7th name. If anybody wants to win that thing starting next Saturday on TV, they will have to get through Melvin to do it! Gilbert interrupts and says that Maximus is actually the 8th man entered. Danger goes through the list - Burke, Plunkett, Dinsmore, Howe, Sky, Switchblade - no, he's the 7th. Gilbert then says that Danger missed a name, that name being MARCUS ANTHONY! The crowd cheers as Danger says no, he can't. He's under contract to him! Gilbert says apparently not, as of April 1, his old contract expired making Danger into quite the fool, the April fool as it were. Maximus steps in and tells Danger not to worry. He will handle Anthony if he has to. Danger gets some reassurance, but a shock here as the former OVW champion Anthony with an over 9 month reign last year will return next week on TV as part of the Survival of The Fittest, his first appearance in 2015.
Match #3
Before the match starts, EFD Eddie Diamond has an offering of flowers for Shelly Martinez. This pisses Aaron Sky off, grabbing them and throwing them to the ground. This pisses Shelly off as she picks them up and throws them in Sky's face saying he never gets her flowers! Sky then orders her to leave, but EFD intervenes saying that is no way to treat a lady. Sky counters that Shelly's no lady as the crowd begins chanting "puta, puta, puta", the nickname she has picked up in recent weeks. Stipulation time as EFD wonders what it would take for Sky to set her free? Sky says that if he beats EFD here today, EFD must become his man servant for 30, no, 60! days. And if EFD wins, he gets to have 1 night with "la puta". Shelly shoves Sky and asks what the hell he's doing. EFD quickly accepts the offer.
Eddie Diamond defeats Aaron Sky @ 6:41 via pinfall, using a cradle. Sky seemingly had EFD beat. He went outside to the apron and readied for his springboard splash off the top rope, but EFD would get his knees up to instead catch Sky. From there, he quickly cradled him and pulled off the win. Shelly Martinez couldn't believe this! Sky rolls out as she starts to yell at him. He then grabs her, but she answers the age old question of who's the boss as she slaps him away. EFD can't believe it himself as he wins a night with Martinez. Party Starter Bud Dwight comes in and helps up Diamond. Dwight leads the crowd in chants of "puta, puta, puta" as Shelly yells for them all to shut up! Gilbert asks Dean just what the night entails? Dean says it's probably not something she sells on eBay to the highest bidder, that's for sure. Titus hopes we get to see this as the other 2 call him a pervert, at which point he clarifies for journalistic reasons of course. Dean says yeah, Titus could use a lot of research and help in that department from what he's heard.
-- Fourth commercial break --
Back from break and former Director of Authority Trailer Park Trash is out to join on commentary for the next match. A scouting chance for TPT with the Hardcore match against New Wave Dylan Bostic at Best In The World. Dean asks him how training has been going, to which TPT says he is getting a lot done at the trailer park. A lot of beer getting drank most of all. This is his domain, hardcore rules. He's not paid by the hour and he intends to end it fast, giving just long enough to beat on that punk Bostic and teach him a lesson first.
Match #4
Dylan Bostic defeats Mad Man Pondo @ 4:35 via pinfall after The High Tide, a legdrop off the top rope with a kendo stick. The match sees the hardcore Pondo answer the challenge, and in control of the smaller Bostic, using items like stop signs and no regard for the ref's count. Finally though, Bostic is able to get up a forearm between the legs, dropping Pondo with a low blow. Bostic would get up and yell over and gesture to TPT on commentary, causing him to stand. The referee gets in between as TPT approaches the ring, telling him to get back to commentary. Meanwhile Bostic heads up top with the kendo stick, leaping off into the legdrop, putting the stick under him for added impact. This was enough to put Pondo away. TPT has seen all he can handle at this point and slides into the ring, ready to go now. Bostic however exits out the other side. TPT wants to do this now, but Bostic clearly wants no piece of him after the war he just had. Come Best In The World though, he will have no choice when the 2 meet in a hardcore rules match when TPT makes a 1 night only return to the ring.
-- Fifth commercial break --
Back from break and Heavyweight champion Jamin Olivencia is out to talk with Gilbert. The big match is closing in, title defense vs CM Punk at Best In The World. Last week a showdown with Samoa Joe. Rudy Switchblade's outstanding offer to Elijah Burke to join The Blacklist, Switchblade with a rematch as the former champion and Burke holding that King of The Valley briefcase for a guaranteed shot whenever he choose. Is the pressure starting to make him crack? Olivencia says that he thrives on pressure and he likes the opportunity. When the dust settles, when Punk has had his chance, when Switchblade has had his rematch, when Burke has used the contract, if Samoa Joe decides to come after him too ... he fully intends to still be standing as the OVW champion. So sit back, enjoy it. Samoa Joe vs CM Punk. Use it as a reference point because whatever Joe does to him, he's just setting the bar, and come Best In The World, he will jump over it and everybody in OVW, everybody in the NWA, they will know that Jamin Olivencia is for real!
Heidi Lovelace defeats Jessie Belle @ 8:25 via pinfall after a frog splash from the top rope. The lumberjills surrounding the ring were Mary Elizabeth Monroe, Rebel, Ray Lynn, Taeler Hendrix, and Seleziya Sparx, the sole purpose being to keep AJ Lee from interfering as she did the last time these 2 met a week ago on TV. As it turned out, the presence was enough to keep the NWA World champion away as a top contender was determined for her championship with a decisive outcome. Belle worked the arm and shoulder of Lovelace, but would make a critical mistake as she headed up to the middle rope and jumped off into a raised foot to the face from Lovelace. From there, Lovelace made the comeback, taking Belle out with the Heidicanrana, and then heading up to the top rope for her finisher. With the win, Heidi Lovelace moves on to Best In The World and a chance to not only win the World championship off AJ Lee, but to avenge all the women around ringside and even her opponent in this match for the disrespectful act perpetrated when AJ won the title and vacated it without even making a defense. Gilbert reminds viewers that the belt is expected to be returned at long last at the Saturday Night Special, speaking of which ...
For those watching Saturday or Sunday night, don't touch that dial as there is another hour of action to come. For the rest of the viewers, the Saturday Night Special is Saturday at 10pm on WBNA, replaying Sunday at 7pm on RetroTV. The Lords of The Ring vs The East. But more importantly and perhaps the biggest match in OVW history, Samoa Joe vs CM Punk, guest referee Christopher Daniels. This is a match that was the main event at both Spring Stampede and The Great American Bash last year, FREE to all the fans in Louisville as a thank you for their support over the years. For Dean Hill and Michael Titus, Gilbert says to make sure you don't miss the Saturday Night Special!

Lumberjill match
Match #5VS |
Websclusive match #1
Shiloh Jonze defeats Elvis Pridemoore @ 5:17 via referee's decision with the mandible claw. No real alternative here as the loose cannon of The Blacklist puts "red cap" out with his finishing move. While used to tag team wrestling, after the elimination of The French Stallion from the group, Shiloh is breaking out here into singles and will continue next weekend with a spot in Survival of The Fittest, making him the 9th confirmed name and leaving only 3 remaining spots. Fan Advocate Terry Boddie wonders on the role of Jonze in The Blacklist. Guest commentator for the week was "Scotty Goldman", never shown on camera, stating that Jonze was clearly an enforcer and his job going forward would seem to be making sure that Rudy Switchblade gets back his title and that Eric Locker keeps his.VS |
Websclusive match #2
Elijah Burke defeats Jason Lee @ 5:42 via pinfall after the Elijah Experience, a sitout facebuster. "The Man" faces his biggest test since his return and comes up short despite a strong showing. Boddie states that Burke is in a class unto himself as of late and would not be surprised if when he cashes in, he takes home the championship. Goldman on the other hand feels that with Burke having 6 more months to use it, it would be a huge mistake right now given the competition surrounding the championship. Might make it easier to take, but makes holding onto it a lot harder with so many pieces at play.VS |
