NWA Windy City Pro Wrestling drew a near capacity crowd in what is a very small bingo hall. There was a pretty long line to get in & front row tickets were sold out but with Uncensored just days away this was to be expected. These shows have an open bar with $1 beers. 'Nuff Said.
Web Exclusive Pre-Show Match
Uhaa Nation w/Sean Waltman beat Delirious with the Uhaa Combination (Gorilla press drop followed by a standing moonsault followed by a standing shooting star press) in quick fashion in 1:25; Waltman told the crowd on the house mike after that the Uhaa Nation would have another tune up match next week while he waits for Adrian Neville and Daniel Bryan to destroy each other over the next few shows. Waltman said he told Neville and Paul Heyman he has a guy who is ready and better than anyone and that man is the Uhaa Nation and after next week Uhaa will be ready to pick up the pieces and destroy what is left of Adrian Neville and, or, Daniel Bryan!
Saturday Night Live!
Show starts with Triple H backstage announcing that tonight he has arranged for a tune-up for his team ahead of the big six-man tag at Uncensored that has implications for the future of Windy City, as he will step inside the ring alongside one of his trusted soldiers Dean Ambrose to take on those complainers and whistle-blowers Hideo Itami and Rockstar Spud tonight. If Daniel Puder wants to leave his judges booth to stand at ringside for his team well that's too bad, he can't, because he's the boss and he must do as he says, and he says Daniel Puder will have to stay in the judges booth and if he even thinks of getting involved there will be repercussions!
*Shot of Daniel Puder looking not too happy in the judges booth, but defiant at the same time*
Trip's continues that he's going to make tonight a hell of a show to demonstrate to the Powers That Be that they are stupid for even putting on the line his stewardship at Uncensored! The show will start with a match that could and would headline anywhere else in the NWA, as former NWA World Heavyweight Champion Samoa Joe will take on the current NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan, non-title of course, NEXT in tonight's opener!
Samoa Joe went the full ten minutes allotted with Daniel Bryan in their non-title matchup, 10.00; the judges awarded this matchup a majority points decision win for Samoa Joe. Joe wins, with perhaps showing more aggression getting the heavier man the points win here tonight. Both men look ready for 5 more minutes though when Triple H comes back out flanked by Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose.
Triple H informs Samoa Joe that tonight's main-event will comprise of 3-man teams, as the NWA World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles and the NWA World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks, will take on World Title challengers Chris Masters & The Usos...as well as in a surprise booking Jay Lethal joining forces with his 3lite running buddies Alex Shelley & Ricochet!
Joe looks a bit pissed not to be involved, saying as all other 3 men in the fatal four way for the NWA World Heavyweight Title at Uncensored are involved. Trip's says he realises that Samoa Joe is what you might call, a lone wolf. So he's going to make it interesting for him. Tonight Samoa Joe will also take part in that match, and he will team up with his opponent tonight Daniel Bryan, and also Daniel Bryan's opponent at Uncensored, Adrian Neville!
Joe looks a bit uneasy at tagging with Bryan having just fought him but he's in the main-event match, and ready, willing and able to kick his opponents at Uncensored asses so he doesn't mind too much, Bryan though isn't too happy with the addition of his opponent Adrian Neville to the team!
The Briscoes (Mark & Jay) downed Box Office (The Miz & Alex Riley) w/Marsye in 5:35 to advance into the final of the Windy City Tag Team #1 Contenders Final at Uncensored when Mark pinned Riley with the Cut Throat Driver; Jay got on the mike and told Sami Zayn that he hopes he's going to concentrate on Mark Briscoe tonight when they meet in singles match and isn't too worried about what Luke Harper will do to Serena Deeb now that he is on his own with her now both Briscoes are here tonight! Mark tells Sami he had better drop this white knight shit because instead of worrying about a whore, he should worry about The Family! Tonight Mark Briscoe will send a message and at Uncensored Luke Harper will deliver the final judgement!
Curtis Axel beat Dolph Ziggler in a long hard fought win in 9:28 in a somewhat surprising win for Axel. This brought out Heath Slater who clapped sarcastically and said he's not paid by the hour, he doesn't care that their Uncensored match is a no-time-limit match. He's already beaten Axel twice, on points yes, but victories none the less - but on Wednesday Night Live it will be his chance to impress in singles action and he promises to win alot quicker than Curtis Axel did tonight!
Tyler Breeze cut a self-pre-recorded promo from the production truck, via his own selfie-stick; Tyler says he's been watching all this seek-him-here, seek-him-there malarkey from the TV Champion Solomon Crowe and Adam Cole and says that he would never hide from the cameras because he's too beautiful. Tyler says he will be at WNL and will take on Adam Cole and will win and put himself into the TV Title picture, because a picture, a selfie, will say a thousand words when he stands over Cole on Wednesday and takes his usual selfie victory pose with him in the background, but it's ok because Cole is used to being in the background of things.
The Wolves, Eddie Kingston and Davey Richards downed The Celtic Warriors, Sheamus and Fin Balor by countout in 8:24 to advance to the finals of the #1 Contenders Tag Tourney; Balor & Sheamus got into an argument and pushing war on the outside with Sheamus mocking Balor for losing to Kota Ibushi 2 weeks ago, and Balor saying he got the win back last week and Sheamus wouldn't fair much better next week! Sheamus retorts with he only got the win back because of him! The two push each other some more, but stop short of full out breaking up as a team or anything. They walk back from the ring together, but things definately look strained in the Celtic Warriors; Meanwhile, The Wolves pick up a good win and advance to the finals where they will face The Briscoes at the Uncensored kick-off with a guranteed shot at the Tag Team Titles on the line.
Kofi Kingston came out and cut an in-ring promo with the lights turned a now familiar for him shade of purple, he said he hopes Kevin Steen is proud of himself blindsiding him with that punch last week. Kofi says he wasn't knocked out by Steen though, he infact ducked Steen's punch if you watch the replay closely but slipped on the unsafe arena floor and fell, and slammed his face, mouth first onto the floor. Kofi says he's not happy with the unsafe working environment here in Windy City and he's not surprised that Triple H has some complainers! Kofi says that Steen is not heeding his words and wrestling a safer style, like he has, thanks to the good advice he recieved from Rey Mysterio to ignore the fans. Kofi says that Steen wants to make things ugly and please the fans, but he doesn't know that this match is right up Kofi's alley as he's no longer a high-flyer as he's demonstrated over the last couple of months, he has refined his striking skills and is a fast, force to be feared with his fists and feet. Kofi wrapped up by saying that on Wednesday he will prove this to Kevin Steen as he challenges him to a KO Challenge on the special edition of Wednesday Night Live. Both men will pick opponents, and try to knock them out as quick as possible. The quicker, obviously the better. Whoever loses the challenge must allow his opponent at uncensored, one free shot to the chin before the match starts at Uncensored!
A Womens 4-way is announced for Wednesday Night Live by Booker T on commetary who says he has been given word by Triple H via his ear-piece. Womens Champion Paige, will face her challenger "Kharma" Kia Stevens, as well as her acomplice Cheerleader Melissa and also former partner Gail Kim, who Paige has not been getting on well with recently either! A big womens match set for WNL ahead of Uncensored!
Mark Briscoe w/Jay Briscoe won via DQ over Sami Zayn in 0:48; Zayn flew into a rage after seeing a heavily sexual innuendo laced video from Luke Harper with a tied up and gagged Serena Deeb on a bed next to him. Harper stopped short of suggesting anything sexually untoward would happen to Deeb once the cameras stopped rolling, but with Harpers intense starey eyes and creepy smile, this was an underlying thought to all, and evidently to Zayn. The feed was cut short before anything too bad got aired which could see the company booted off the TV station and Zayn attacked Mark Briscoe with gusto. Sami Zayn pulled in a steel chair and smashed Mark over the head on three occasions before he was pulled to safety by his brother, the Messiah, and leader of The Family, Jay Briscoe. Zayn was DQ'd but he didn't care about that and now can't wait to get his hands on Luke Harper at Uncensored and rescue Serena Deeb from the The Family's cluthces.
Hideo Itami & Rockstar Spud shocked Dean Ambrose & Triple H w/Seth Rollins with a victory in 7:10 when Spud scored a roll-up over Triple H after his team had taken a battering for the most of the match; the turnaround came when judge Daniel Puder left the judges booth as advised against by Triple H and got involved by tripping The Game when he ran the ropes looking for a big knee on Spud, and the Rockstar capitalised with a quick-roll up for the surprise win before Triple H knew it! After the match Trip's was embarassed and promised that on Wednesday he would exert his power and get his revenge before Uncensored!
Brian Cage, formerly of NWA Mid-Atlantic, now a freelancer. Came out a cut an in-ring promo against the NWA North American Champion John Cena. Cage starts by saying he was already due one title shot as he was previously booked by Mid-Atlantic to face Cena in an iPPV match back in March, a match that did not happen, thanks to Highspots.com purchasing Mid-Atlantic. Now Mid-Atlantic is sold and is just a memory in his rear view mirror. Cage says one title shot has already been stolen from him, that as well as his Mid-Atlantic United States title which is now retired and no more. Cage finishes by saying he will replace his US Title with an even better one - the NWA North American Heavyweight Title - as he will defeat that layabout that shmuck John Cena who couldn't even be bothered to travel the relatively short distance to kentucky in OVW to accept a booking. Cage promises the Chicago fans that he would be a better North American Champ than Cena and the anti-Cena fans here in Chicago seem to agree with this talented challenger, Brian Cage.
In the main-event, in a prelude of sorts for the fatal four way at Uncensored, we had men in all four corners tonight as well but with the added element of 3-man teams being in each corner! AJ Styles & The Young Bucks vs Chris Masters & The Usos vs 3lite, Jay Lethal, Alex Shelly & Ricohet vs Samoa Joe, Daniel Bryan & Adrian Neville w/Paul Heyman!
The finish after a whole load of confusion and mass in the ring at 12:55, when Jimmy Uso pinned Nick Jackson following a big splash from the top to claim a big win for the team of Chris Masters and The Usos. The Windy City Tag Team Champions The Usos gain a big pinfall over their opponents the NWA World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks to really send a message that thir tag titles are in serious jeapordy. AJ Styles though avoided a Masterlock attempt from Masters and slid to the outside and took off along with The Bucks. Samoa Joe and Jay Lethal meanwhile got into a heated battle after the match was over fighting all around the ringside area before they was seperated by security. Adrian Neville and Paul Heyman meanwhile had earlier abandoned the matchup while it was still going leaving Joe and Bryan to fend for themselves!
Winners: Chris Masters & The Usos
Web Exclusive Post-Show Match;
Adam Cole beat CJ Parker with the Corona Crash in a good win for him in 4:38. After the match the ring announcer is pre-empted on declaring the winner by a computer voice over the sound speakers which announced CJ Parker as the winner??? Another cyber attack by the Cyber TV Champion Solomon Crowe from afar? Cole was enraged and challenged the referee about this decision but he didn't seem to know what to do. Not sure what this will go down in the record books as but Solomon Crowe is trying to get into the head of the challenger for the TV Title in the main-event of the Uncensored kick-off, Adam Cole.
