Ring Announcer: Scarlett Bordeaux
Interviewer: Terry Boddie
The commentators welcome viewers to the show. Just days away from the big joint show with Global Force Wrestling on June 21 in Bowling Green, and after last week, we now know it will be headlined by World champion AJ Styles vs Jamin Olivencia. That promises to be a huge card, and tonight here on TV should be no different. Scheduled for action here ...
- Jamin Olivencia in singles action
- Cliff Compton & Colt Cabana vs Country Jacked, on paper at least, more on that later
- The Mexicutioner vs Aaron Sky after weeks of problems there
- Rob Conway & Chase Owens vs Melvin Maximus & Jeremiah Plunkett
Plus OVW champion Elijah Burke is here to address the close of last week's program, Jeff Jarrett is here to talk the show on Sunday, and Rump Thump will be here with Ram Jam Jon Ramser to accept or pass on the most recent cash offer from The Pastor of Disaster for a rematch. But kicking us off here this week ...
The Blacklist is out
Rudy Switchblade. Shiloh Jonze. Eric Locker. And after last week, they are now being joined by Ali Vaez. Turning his back on Michael Hayes, turning his back on Ohio Valley as a whole for that matter. Dean has words but he would rather not get into that now out of respect for the viewing audience. Gilbert says he understands, and it is unfortunate that Ali felt the need to do what he did, but maybe today we will get some answers. Ali takes the mic first as fans boo.
Ali Vaez: And you wonder why? Really? Disgusting. You people, each and every last 1 of you is the reason why. I was down and out. My career was over. I might as well have been living in the gutter. And nobody helped me! Nobody that is, until Rudy Switchblade. See, last week he made me realize all of you for what you are. Leaches. Piranhas. You all just want what's best for yourselves, while people like me suffer for your entertainment. You put yourselves on some sort of a high moral pedestal for recognizing my defeat in life, but then when the cards are dealt, you fold and just move on to the next hand. You want more. You want to see the next vicious attack. You want to see the next career ended. And then it's boo hoo, get better, we don't care anymore ... onto ... the next. If this is what this place has come to, I want no part of it. It's flat out pathetic to think that my career nearly ended, no. My LIFE almost ended. You people just watched for the entertainment. But thankfully there was 1 man. 1 man that still remembered me when the smoke cleared. 1 man that still has honor. Dignity. Respect. And it's ironic that it is the same man that helped me put me down in the first place. I'm thankful now though for what he did, because it allowed me to see the light and all of you for what you really are. And that 1 man-
The fans boo to interrupt, fully knowing where this is going. Switchblade just shakes his head saying not to listen to tem as Ali seems disgusted by the behavior. Jonze tells everybody to shut up! Dean says on commentary to give me a break. Rather than finish, Switchblade takes the mic.
Rudy Switchblade: It's ok. It's ok. I know what was going to be said and I thank you. Together, with us, you can now be free to ascend to greatness like you were meant to. With us, The Blacklist, you can achieve every goal you ever dreamed of. The fans. I've been there, so I know what it's like. 6 months ago, nobody cared. Nobody gave a damn. We want more. We want you to slam Jay Bradley's head in an ambulance door. We want you to play runner up to Jamin Olivencia. We need a 5th for War Games on team OVW though? Not you. A title shot? Forget that. Those things, I owe only to these 2 men right here and myself, nobody else. And you Ali, there's no need for thanks. The thank you will come when you're the next OVW champion.
Ali shakes Switchblade's hand as fans boo loudly again. This is not what the people want to see, but Gilbert says it may be prophetic as back to 4 and The Blacklist may now be in their strongest incarnation yet, just when they seemed at their weakest 11 days ago at the SNS.
Rudy Switchblade: Now ... John ... Cena. It's official. July 11, Futureshock on iPPV. I get my opportunity at your title, the opportunity that you tried to duck and dodge from for months. The opportunity that was my destiny since Starrcade. Half the fans seem to cheer you, half hate you, sometimes more, sometimes less, but I don't care. This isn't about your popularity levels to me. This is about wrestling. Imagine that for a change? It's about what happens when that bell rings once, when it rings again, and everything in between. You're scared Cena. I saw it in your eyes. I see it, and I know you do too. Every time you look in the mirror and see the coward that you are. And just like I left you laying at the Saturday Night Special ... I'm gonna do it again. Except this time, when my hand gets raised, it will be as your new North American champion! John Cena, prepare to be Blacklisted.
As Switchblade finishes, from the back comes an angry Michael Hayes! The fans cheer as he has a chair, but officials and lower card wrestlers are out there preventing him from getting to the ring. Director of Authority Jim Cornette is out.
Jim Cornette: Hold on here. Hold on! DAMMIT, I SAID COOL IT! Give me a heart attack out here. Put the chair down Michael! That's not a request, that's an order!
Hayes turns his attention to Cornette, demanding a match with Ali.
Jim Cornette: I can't Michael, and you know that. Ali Vaez has not been medically cleared to compete yet. I can't force him into a match. But here's what I can do. I can give you the next best thing. Michael Hayes vs Rudy Switchblade ... tonight! And if any of those 3 interfere, you can kiss that North American Title shot goodbye!
Hayes likes that, although The Blacklist seem less enthused by the stipulations just made. Switchblade reassures them he will be fine.

Ringside interview w/ Rump Thump & Jon Ramser
Terry Boddie is at ringside with the 2 to get their answer from last week's offer from The Pastor of Disaster. After suffering the first ever defeat to Ram Jam on TV weeks back, Stuart Miles has offered an increasing amount from his church's donation fund, only to get rejected. Last week though, $10,000 should Ram Jam accept and win the match. Rump speaking for the deaf Ram Jam says he wonders what The Pastor's obsession is. Is it that he lost, or that he lost to Ram Jam? He's not sure but the amount last week was enough. Not only does Ram Jam accept, but he will beat The Pastor again and take his ill gotten money, maybe give it some people truly in need when he wins it.
The Mexicutioner vs Aaron Sky
After weeks of problems, things have reached a boiling point with The Mexicutioner looking now to get some revenge on Sky. Once sharing a manager, her departure left them at odds and last week, Sky cost Mexicutioner a match via countout to Robbie Walker. Sky spends much of the early going here, trying to avoid Mexicutioner, but eventually it catches up with him. Mexicutioner dominates Sky until a thum to the eye turns the momentum. Rudo Raul Lamotta makes his way out to get a closer look at things between Sky & his tag team partner. Sky goes for a clothesline, but Mexicutioner ducks and takes Sky into the ropes with a take down that drops them to the floor. As they get up, Sky looks to get his hands on a chair, but Lamotta quickly grabs it away. The 2 argue as Sky gets back in the ring to break up the count and get warned by the referee. Mexicutioner thanks his partner, but as he turns his back to get in, Lamotta strikes the chair across the back. He rolls Mex in, unseen by the referee, as Sky hops to the apron. He jumps up and his the springboard splash, followed by the 3.
Aaron Sky defeats The Mexicutioner @ 5:39 via pinfall after the springboard splash.
The Rudo is back. Forced to pick between the 2, Lamotta has apparently sided with Sky here. He gets in the ring afterwards and raises Sky's hand in victory, but they are not done. Sky holds up Mex as Lamotta charges in with a right hand. The 2 kick at him when from the back comes aid from Randy Terrez! He gets in some right hands on Lamotta, sending him into the ropes for a dropkick. Sky tries for the save, but ends up tossed to the floor. Mexicutioner gets up alone with Terrez in the ring, not sure whether to thank him or attack him.

Cliff Compton & Colt Cabana vs Country Jacked
Last week's broadcast saw Cliff Compton walk out on Colt Cabana. No reason given, and here tonight, there is no sign of him. Leaving Cabana to work a handicap match last week, is he doing the same again against top ranked team Country Jacked? Manager Josh Ashcraft says to ring the bell, but from the back emerges Robbie Walker! The fans pop as Walker talks with Cabana, and they will team tonight. Dean says if anybody knows about screwy tag partners, it'd be Walker from his time with Aaron Sky as The Skywalkers. Cabana & Walker look good enough as a team, with Cabana getting some revenge for the team's actions in recent weeks. Once Country Jacked was able to isolate Walker though, the match was in their hands. After working over Walker, Page would connect with Turn The Page, an armtrap reverse STO. That was followed by a 3 count for the win as Country Jacked seem destined for a date with The Wild Boyz for the OVW Tag Team Title.
Country Jacked defeat Colt Cabana & Robbie Walker @ 6:43 when Adam Page pinned Walker after Turn The Page.
After the match, Ashcraft celebrates with his men as Cabana checks on Walker at the side of the ring. From the back come The Wild Boyz, looking for some revenge for last week's attack. They get in the ring and the 2 tag teams start brawling. Officials are out to keep them separated, joined by Cabana, and some other wrestlers like Elvis Pridemoore, Deonta Davis, Leon Shelly. It's only a matter of time before the 2 tag teams settle the score in a match with the belts at stake.

Ringside interview w/ Jeff Jarrett
Terry Boddie is joined by Global Force Wrestling owner Jeff Jarrett. Last week, the match was made official, Jamin Olivencia vs AJ Styles, despite Olivencia turning Jarrett down. That seemed to get under his skin. Jarrett says that he's fine with it. The fans spoke and that was what they wanted. So on Sunday June 21, the match is official and the World Title will be at stake. However, if Jamin Olivencia thinks this is some sort of fancy bow on the present, forget it. He's going to find out that you don't piss off Jeff Jarrett and get away with it! This was his night, and now Jamin's trying to steal the thunder. Well forget it! AJ Styles is better, more experienced, and more seasoned. It is Jarrett's prediction that on the 21st, we see Styles walk in World champion, and walk out World champion.
Jamin Olivencia vs Dapper Dan
And with that, out comes Olivencia for his match, sharing a glance with Jarrett. The GFW owner has some words for Olivencia, but they largely go ignored. His opponent comes out and before he gets in the ring, Jarrett pulls Dapper Dan aside. Maybe cutting some sort of deal with him? Jarrett makes a snapping motion with his hands. The commentators wonder if he is trying to pay off Dapper Dan to take Olivencia out before the title match? Dan nods and gets in the ring as the bell rings, but Olivencia is too jacked up tonight. Dan charges and the 2 brawl with him going after the leg. Olivencia kicks Dan off. He hits the ropes as Olivencia does a kip up and jumps, catching Dan in the front facelock and bodyscissors combination, dropping back into the Standing O. Olivencia covers and it's that easy.
Jamin Olivencia defeats Dapper Dan @ 0:56 via pinfall after The Standing O.
Jarrett nods at that development as Dean can't imagine a man of his intelligence actually expected Dapper Dan to succeed. But what about Sunday? What about Jamin Olivencia vs AJ Styles, World Title on the line in Bowling Green? Could we be looking at the next NWA World Heavyweight champion? Or will it stay with this man ...

Rob Conway & Chase Owens vs. Melvin Maximus & Jeremiah Plunkett
Last week saw Conway & Owens take out The Sons of Chaos to render The East down to a 1 man army in Jeremiah Plunkett. Tonight they get the chance to put the finishing touches on him, but with the big 350 pound Mr. Marvelous Melvin Maximus as his tag team partner, that is far easier said than done. During the match comes the announcement that all 4 wrestlers names have been put into the Nightmare Rumble at Futureshock. Could 1 of them have a future World Title opportunity coming to them? Also of note, no sign of Timmy Danger after the beating he took at the Saturday Night Special. His career here perhaps over.
The match sees Plunkett trying to avoid Owens, and thanks to Maximus getting the advantage, it makes that easy. Plunkett tags in to work away on Owens, making sure to call him selfish and worthless during the beatdown. Owens looked to be in trouble here as Maximus readied for the bear hug. Owens would show heart, fighting off Maximus by staying on the run. After ducking a grab attempt, Owens dropkicks Maximus back to his corner. Plunkett tags himself in and goes after Owens, but Conway gets the hot tag. The Ironman enters the match with a flurry of offense for Plunkett. Maximus heads in as Conway catches him and goes for a bodyslam, but Plunkett makes the save. As Maximus gets forced out, Plunkett sets up for the Gourdbuster. Conway however blocks it and instead lifts Plunkett up. He drops him down to drape his feet over the top rope, and hits the whiplash move known as The Ego Trip. He covers as Maximus tries to get in, but not in time. Conway gets the pin as he looks to be on a roll heading into the Nightmare Rumble. Owens meanwhile will have to wait for another day to get his hands on Plunkett, coming sooner than later maybe with both in the Nightmare Rumble.
Rob Conway & Chase Owens defeat Melvin Maximus & Jeremiah Plunkett @ 8:23 via pinfall when Conway pinned Plunkett after The Ego Trip.

Ringside interview w/ Elijah Burke
Terry Boddie is standing by with the Heavyweight champion. Last weekend, we saw a new side to Chris Silvio, clearly a more disturbed and demented side. Burke says that he don't care about any of that. All he cares about after last week is getting his hands on Silvio in the ring. The man earned a shot, but now he's off the deep end. So on July 11 at Futureshock, the match has been made. Pope vs Silvio for the OVW Title, and he just hopes Silvio brings it like he did last week because he likes to get tested, and just like every other challenger so far has found out, Silvio will too - that Pope is pimping!
Michael Hayes vs Rudy Switchblade
The main event this week was setup at the top of the hour. Last week, Ali Vaez turned on Michael Hayes to join The Blacklist and aid Rudy Switchblade in getting a match with John Cena for the NWA North American Title at Futureshock on July 11. Hayes wanted Vaez, but as he has not yet been medically cleared, Jim Cornette could not make the match. Instead Hayes gets the leader and should any of The Blacklist interfere in this match, Switchblade loses the match with Cena.
The match gets started with some stalling by Switchblade as the 1 legged Iraqi war vet wants to get this thing going. Getting back into the ring, Switchblade gets the advantage but Hayes is always ready with a counter, sending Switchblade back to the floor to complain. Hayes comes out after him and takes it to The Blacklist leader before rolling him back in. Now things get going with Hayes on the offensive. A DDT would see a 2 count before Switchblade kicks out. He is in a bad place but desperate people do desperate things and Switchblade backs into the ropes before grabbing Hayes and falling back to take him tumbling out through the ropes and to the floor.
Switchblade is content with the countout as Hayes struggles to beat the count, but makes it in. Switchblade turns his focus to the back, likely prepping for the Boston Crab. As he sets up for the submission after some more offense, Hayes frees his legs and instead kicks Switchblade back. He gets up as Switchblade bounces back towards him, leaping up to catch him with a knee to the jaw. Hayes gets up and takes advantage of a dazed Switchblade. He fires some rights and tries to force him down to the mat for the Liberty Lock. As he is doing that, Switchblade quickly steps out and turns his body back first to Hayes and leaps into position, connecting with the RudyKO. The ref counts and that's it.
Rudy Switchblade defeats Michael Hayes @ 8:47 via pinfall after The RudyKO.
Another win for Switchblade to add his 3 win performance on last week's TV. The commentators make note that Hayes has more wins than anybody in the NWA this year, but that now makes 2 losses to The Blacklist leader, who seems to have his number. That aside, from the back come Shiloh Jonze & Eric Locker with little focus on any celebration. Switchblade directs them to attack Hayes, but out from the back quickly are Paredyse & Ryan Howe for the save. The Blacklist clear the ring. Conspicuous by his absence is Ali Vaez, a gutless coward according to Dean.
Next week, Mary Elizabeth Monroe vs Rebel in a #1 contenders match, plus get this - just signed - Rudy Switchblade, Shiloh Jonze & Eric Locker vs Michael Hayes, Paredyse & Ryan Howe in a 6 man tag team match for the main event. And don't forget this Sunday, June 21, Bowling Green. Jamin Olivencia vs AJ Styles, NWA World Title on the line. The Young Bucks in action, Heidi Lovelace in action, Switchblade in action, all that and so much more. Be there. For Dean Hill, Gilbert Corsey saying so long until next week.
Websclusive match #1
The Body Guy defeats Elvis Pridemoore @ 4:58 via pinfall after a double underhook facebuster. The Body Guy was again joined by the same man as last week's TV, now identified as simply Big Jon. Elvis had control of the match, but hitting the ropes, Big Jon tripped him as Body Guy distracted the ref. This allowed The Body Guy to take advantage and put him away. During the match it is announced that The Body Guy's name will be 1 of 30 to participate in the upcoming Nightmare Rumble at Futureshock.
Websclusive match #2
Marcus Anthony defeats Leon Shelly @ 3:40 via submission to the Crimson Omen. Continuing a run of dominance, Shelly is no match for Anthony and comes up with virtually no offense as Anthony no sold everything thrown his way. After the match, fellow No Class Connection partner Deonta Davis tested out Anthony, but took the Gamma Punch for his troubles. During the match it is announced that Anthony's name will be 1 of the 30 to participate in the upcoming Nightmare Rumble at Futureshock, bring the total up to 6 for this week.
