Jeff Jarrett welcomes the fans
Jarrett is out with wife Karen and thanks the fans for coming out. Without their support, GFW would have never got off the ground, and together tonight with Ohio Valley Wrestling of the NWA, they can present some of the best wrestling that this area has not seen since the days of Jackie Fargo. For years fans grew tired of sports entertainment, and this is the answer, Global Force Wrestling! So sit back and enjoy the show, and hopefully GFW will be back in Bowling Green real soon.
Michael Hayes vs John Skyler
The opening contest gives the fans a first hand look at Hayes, 1 of the more inspirational wrestlers around today. The 1 legged Ohio Valley regular has his work cut out for him however against The Southern Savior, becoming somewhat of a veteran in the Carolinas, gaining some recognition in the Mid Atlantic territory before closing down. As the bell rings, Skyler wastes little time in focusing an attack on the right leg of Hayes, which happens to be his only leg. Hayes however makes the comeback with the crowd solidly behind him. He hits the double underhook DDT and promptly sets up for the Anaconda Vise like submission, The Liberty Lock. Skyler quickly taps to give Hayes a win in the opener.
Michael Hayes defeats John Skyler @ 9:06 via tap out to The Liberty Lock.
Jay Bradley vs Rene Dupree
The Boomstick against The French Tickler. Lonesome Jay vs The French phenom. 2 wrestlers looking to make a big impression after big 2014s. So far, both have lulled in 2015, but this could be a bounce back for 1 of them. Bradley takes the mic ahead of the match.
Jay Bradley: Hold on here, hold on. Before this gets started, I got a question for you. Aren't you ... you know?
Rene Dupree: What?
Jay Bradley: Last I saw of you, you were in some tag team up in Chicago. Called yourself Dick something?
Rene Dupree: Dick Ryder.
Jay Bradley: Yeah! You were part of a tag team. What was it?
Rene Dupree: Don't worry about that. You'll find out first hand today when I beat your ass in the middle of this ring.
Jay Bradley: Woah! Easy there big man! I'm just trying to talk here, break the ice a bit. I don't want anything from your hand or beating, least of allo involving my ass. Yeah, Dick Ryder. It's coming back to me now. You guys walked around with your pockets turned inside out and you had your little friend. I guess he's waiting back at the hotel.
Rene Dupree: What are you trying to say? That I'm a ... ?
Jay Bradley: Hey! You're the ones that called yourself that word. Not me. I'm just trying to remember. I've been hit over the head a few times so I'm a bit hazy. You guys were though. You were ... you know. A little ... ummmm ... fruity?
Dupree gets visibly upset and starts mouthing back in french off mic.
Jay Bradley: Calm down man! I'm not 1 to judge. You guys want to live your lives like that up there? Fine by me. What I do have a problem with though is that whole french thing. Yeah, that doesn't work for me. So today, get ready because I got a present for you. Spoiler alert, it's the boomstick!
Dupree suckers Bradley before the bell and takes the early advantage. It is not long though before Bradley reverses the momentum by sending Dupree into the ropes for a back body drop. Dupree hits hard and rolls out of the ring. Bradley follows to keep the pressure on. The action almost spills into the crowd but Bradley throws Dupree back into the ring. As he heads back in, Dupree gets an eye rake and then chokes Bradley on the middle rope. As the ref backs him off and checks on Bradley, Dupree antagonizes fans with the french tickler and asks who's fruity now? He continues to work over Bradley, but perhaps gets a bit too full of himself as he sends him into the ropes for a clothesline, which Bradley ducks and rebounds hard with the Boomstick lariat clothesline. The cover follows, 3 count made, and Bradley takes the win.
Jay Bradley defeats Rene Dupree @ 8:13 va pinfall after the Boomstick.
Chase Owens vs Anthony Henry
Joining John Skyler in a car ride from the Mid Atlantic region is junior heavyweight Anthony Henry for this match with Chase Owens. Not the first time these 2 have been on opposite sides, with a quick series taking place earlier this year won by Henry, who seemed on the path of a shot at the World Junior Heavyweight Title. The win today should help climb the ladder for either. The action is a faster pace than the first 2. The finish comes on a quick sequence with Henry leapfrogging Owens charging into the corner. As they turn, Owens tries to hit the Roaring Elbow but Henry moves out of the way. He gets behind Owens and runs him into the ropes with a go behind. Owens holds onto the ropes to send Henry rolling back. As he stands up, it's lights out when Owens connects with the Roaring Elbow. That is enough to keep him down for the 3 and gives Owens the win.
Chase Owens defeats Anthony Henry @ 13:40 via pinfall after the Roaring Elbow.
Mark Jindrak vs Rudy Switchblade
With a shot at John Cena and the NWA North American Title in sight, Rudy Switchblade gets a test here against the man that Cena defeated to win the title, Mark Jindrak. Just for a throwback moment to his days in the area, Jindrak is accompanied to the ring by the barely mobile Kenny Bolin, Bolin $ervices briefcase and all. The Bolin appearance gets a pop from the crowd, but that's about all he's good for as he takes a seat. The action begins with Switchblade getting the upperhand after an early back and forth. Perhaps getting too cocky, Switchblade mocks Cena and does the "you can't see me" hand motion to his downed opponent. As he hits the ropes, Jindrak jumps up and catches Switchblade coming back with a Samoan drop. Jindrak has the fan support and gets a couple near falls as he looks to finish this. He hits the Mark of Excellence, a back suplex side slam, but Switchblade gets his foot on the bottom rope to save himself. Jindrak then heads up top. He jumps off with Air Corleone, a diving crossbody, but Switchblade counters as he jumps into Jindrak to connect with his jumping cutter, the RudyKO. That's enough for Switchblade to put Jindrak away as he picks up the win.
Rudy Switchblade defeats Mark Jindrak @ 12:38 via pinfall after the RudyKO.
Intermission
Just before the 15 minute break, Don West is out. He enters shill mode with GFW merchandise for the fans, available at concessions, and to the first 100 fans to spend $50 or more, a free blue bag special. During the break, VIP ticket holders are invited into the ring to get their photo taken with NWA World champion AJ Styles. Jim Cornette also deals out free autographs at the Cornette's Collectibles table.
Jason Kincaid vs Damien Wayne
2 locals from the area are in action next with fans still filing back from intermission. Wayne is coming off a recent stint with Ohio Valley as half of the Sons of Chaos in Jeremiah Plunkett's East stable, and this is his chance to make a name for himself in singles. Kincaid is no pushover here though. Wayne plays heel in another fast paced match that sees both wrestlers get in some offense. Wayne is in control and goes to hit his finisher, The Black Diamond, a gorilla press into a powerslam. Kincaid manages to counter by kneeing Wayne in the head and freeing himself. Kincaid sends Wayne into the ropes, but he holds on and instead heads outside. He throws up his hands and has had enough as he heads to the back. A countout win is elementary now, but from the back is Chase Owens there to stand in his way. The 2 former East stablemates in nearby OVW are left in a staredown that ends with Kincaid coming from behind and throwing Wayne back into the ring. From there, Kincaid hits Wayne with a slingshot sitout suplex slam, The Epilogue. The ref counts 3 and Kincaid gets the win.
Jason Kincaid defeats Damien Wayne @ 8:37 via pinfall after The Epilogue.
Heidi Lovelace vs Nikki Bella
Non title action as the NWA World Women's champion takes on half of the Bella Twins in non title action. Nikki has not got much of a look in NWA based territories, but has still managed to carve out a name for herself outside the league. Not the greatest match as there is only so much that Lovelace can do here and rather than bring Bella up, it is a race to the bottom with Bella bringing her down. After many botched spots, Lovelace connects with a shining wizard. She then heads up top and comes off the top rope with a frog splash to take the win.
NWA World champion Heidi Lovelace defeats Nikki Bella in a non title match @ 5:52 via pinfall after a frog splash.
Immediately after the match, Lovelace grabs the championship and after celebrating, heads off to the back. Bella gets up, but from the back comes Rudy Switchblade! Already having been in action earlier tonight, it seems obvious what this is about. He takes a mic and gets in the ring as Bella goes to leave, but Switchblade promptly grabs her by the arm.
Rudy Switchblade: Just where in the hell do you think you're going? I can hit the RudyKO with the snap of my fingers, so you'd better be a good girl, keep quiet, and do what I tell you. I have a message for you to take to your man. On July 11 up in Louisville at Futureshock, I'm coming for his title. I'm coming for it and I'm going to win it. And when I do, maybe if you're lucky, I'll let you find out what it's like to be with a real man.
And with that Bella slaps him to a pop. Switchblade turns away and rather than get physical, he just smiles and lets her leave. He watches and then nods to the crowd as they boo him.
The Young Bucks vs The Spirit Squad
Surprise appearance here by the Ohio Valley alumni Mike Mondo & Ken Doane under their Spirit Squad gimmick. Together the 2 held the OVW Tag Team Title many years ago, but that was with 3 others, and this is the NWA World Tag Team champions they are facing tonight. The Spirit Squad were mostly about comedy and getting laughs while The Young Bucks were about wowing the crowd. First up in their array was the More Bang for Your Buck, a rolling fireman's carry slam by Matt Jackson, followed by a 450 slash by Nick Jackson, followed by a moonsault by Matt. That seemed to be it until Mondo got in before the 3 to break it up. The Squad get the advantage and then go to finish things off with a diving legdrop by Kenny on Nick, followed by a senton bomb by Mikey. Matt was in before the 3 to break it up. The action continued, but finally Kenny would get taken out of the action with a double superkick. Matt lifts Mikey up as Nick jumps up, springboarding off the top rope with a somersault into spiking Mikey into a kneeling reverse piledriver by Matt. The Meltzer Driver connects and the cover gets made, enough to get the 3 and the win for The Bucks.
NWA World champions The Young Bucks defeat The Spirit Squad in a non title match @ 13:26 when Matt Jackson pinned Mike Mondo after a Meltzer Driver.

Jamin Olivencia vs AJ Styles
This is what everybody here came to see. Olivencia has fought his way up the ladder of the NWA, only to have GFW owner Jeff Jarrett try and pull the rug out from under him. Angry that Olivencia did not accept his contract, Jarrett tried to change this match, but AJ Styles intervened and demanded the match. This marks the first opportunity for Olivencia at the title. Before the match begins, there's a staredown between the 2. Olivencia and Styles stand face to face, nose to nose, when just like last time, Styles silences the situation by lifting up the World championship belt. That's what it's all about and he has it until somebody beats him for it.
The action goes long and back and forth. Some early spots sees Olivencia hit the Standing O, a bodyscissors into a DDT, but only getting a 2 count before Styles kicks out. Never 1 to bow out, Styles made a comeback and would hit the Styles Clash, but like himself moments earlier, Olivencia would kick out. This surprised the champion, who demanded an explanation from the referee. A 2 count, end of story. Styles continues as he sets up for a second Styles clash, but Olivencia counters by curling up and flipping Styles over with a hurricanrana into a cover for a 2 count. As they pop up, Olivencia blocks a couple punches and gets the better. After some twisting clotheslines, Olivencia hits the turning splash from the top rope, but only gets a 2 count. He attempts the Standing O again, but Styles blocks it and turns it into an inverted atomic drop. Styles turns and leaps back for the Pele Kick, but Olivencia side steps it. As Styles gets up, he hits the Standing O a second time. Olivencia covers ...

... DING! DING! DING!
Before the referee's hand can hit the mat a third time, the bell rings to signify that the time limit has expired. Or has it? That definitely has not been 60 minutes, and upon further review, Jeff Jarrett is at ringside. Did he ring the bell? Jarrett steadfastly denies the accusation when asked by the referee, but the official timekeeper is not so quick to keep up his lie. Olivencia is understandably pissed off by this turn of events. He grabs the referee and tells him that he had the match won, he had a 3. The referee says he only counted a 2, meanwhile Jarrett just laughs having set out to do what he came to do. He tells Jamin that he chose this, and he can live with it because it's his own fault!
Jamin though jumps out and heads after Jarrett, who takes off like a thief in the night. The referee counts with the match still underway. Styles tells him to stop as he exits the ring and goes outside. He comes from behind Olivencia and turns him. The 2 start to brawl outside the ring as they exchange right hands. Styles goes to send Olivencia to the guard rail, but Olivencia reverses it and sends Styles in hard with such force that he goes over the barrier. Fans part as Olivencia comes over and now the 2 are brawling amongst the empty chairs. The referee calls for the bell, the match having been thrown out.
NWA World champion AJ Styles and Jamin Olivencia fought to a no contest @ 24:30 when both were counted out. Styles retains the championship.
Officials are out to keep them separated. What started as some mutual respect between them has clearly ended with none. Olivencia feels he should be the champion, but Styles just shakes his head and goes back to the ring. He requests, make that demands the mic as he gets handed back his World championship belt.
AJ Styles: Jamin! Hey listen. You can say all you want it would've been 3, but when you've been here enough times like I have, you learn a thing or 2. It's not a 3 until the referee's hand says so. You can say it would have been, and I could tell you I would have kicked out, but none of that matters. You didn't beat me. And it's like somebody once said, to be the man ... you gotta beat the man. And this right here (holds up the title belt), this makes me the man. You want a rematch? You just name it, because I can beat you anywhere, any time.
Officials hold Olivencia back, seemingly refusing to accept the decision here. Lost at the moment is that all the blame falls back on GFW owner Jeff Jarrett, having potentially screwed Olivencia out of becoming the World champion. While he started the night as a crowd favorite for bringing championship level wrestling back to Bowling Green, he is ending it anything but. Olivencia finally heads back, likely in search of Jarrett. Styles' music hits as he 'celebrates', though there isn't much to be pleased with for him either so it mainly consists of holding up the belt for the fans a few times. After he clears the ring, a return date is announced for August.
