Featured William Regal, Jeremy Borash and Alex Riley as tonight's judges with the score-cards should they be needed. Time-Limit's for matches at 10 minutes. Cyber-TV Championship being the only title that can be won via judges point's decision.
Web-Exclusive Pre-Show Match;
The Family (Luke Harper & Serena) w/The Briscoes beat local wrestlers Cody 45 & Alexia Nicole in mixed tag team action with Harper pinning Cody 45 after a big lariat in under three minutes; The Family show a united front here as they prepare for Luke Harpers steel cage match with Sami Zayn on Fight Night with Serena's future in the family up in the air. If Zayn wins, Serena must have no contact with The Family for 30 days. After those 30 days, if she wants too, she can go back to The Family, or she can leave. If Harper wins, he gets a Heavyweight Title shot at a time of his choosing! But tonight Serena was very much showing like she did not want to leave her family that many people consider have kidnapped her.
1. Saturday Night Live opened with the title challenger in the big Windy City Championship match at Fight Night picking up another win, as "The Demon" Fin Balor followed up his win over Tyler Breeze on the last SNL with a decisive win over CJ Parker in 4:30 in the opener, finishing him off with the Coup de GrĂ¢ce (Diving double foot stomp). Balor was in full Demon mode tonight, focussed for his big title shot against Kevin Owens. Owens meanwhile will get his chance to shine in tonight's main-event when he takes on former Cyber TV Champ Adam Cole.
2. In a Masters Tournament Quarter-Final Match Pierre Carl Ouellett beat Scotty Too Hotty with a Package piledriver in 5:25; Ouellet who was having match of the year bouts with Bret Hart back in '95 wasn't quite in as good nick but still very good for his age although he didn't bust out the Le Cannonball. Scotty looked like he hadn't changed much and even pulled out The Worm for a big pop but it is the French canadian who progresses into the semi-finals. On the next SNL will be the last quarter final match as Hardcore Holly will take on D-Lo-Brown!

*After the break the #BadNewsPodium rises and we are treated to the "Town Crier" of Windy City, Bad News Barrett. Barrett started by saying certain people, and he won't mention any names, Chris Masters...Should listen to his announcements more carefully going forward. BNB said that last SNL he told Masters that he had some BAD NEWS for him. Barrett told Masters that he was a loser. A man who just can't get it done on the big stage...and that's just what happened at NWA Summerslam, Masters lost to Cena. Not everybody can be a true great afterall says Barrett with a laugh.
This brings out Chris Masters. Masters obviously looks disappointed but is keeping his head high. Most of the fans are still behind him, although there are a few who call out "loser!" to him.
Masters starts by saying it took a fist wrapped with a chain to put him down and out at Summerslam, but it was NWA Extreme Rules, so he has no complaints. Fair play to Cena he was the better man on the night but if people think this is the end for Chris Masters they are going to be disappointed. Some might expect Masters to be quietly dropped and pop-up in Memphis or some other hick random place and live a low-key life and career. That's not going to happen. He's the Masterpiece for a reason. This is just the begining, the learning ground, and he has many more years left to compete in the upper echlons and one day he WILL be wearing the big gold belt.
More "loser chants from a select few, as BNB cackles and says to Chris the fans are calling his name.
Masters finishes by saying he still has a gauaranteed Windy City Championship title shot that he can call in, having never lost the belt in the ring, but first he's going to prove himself in the ring and he's not going to take any prisoners! And his first match back is next!
3. "The Masterpiece" Chris Masters defeated Shane Hollister by submission with the Masterlock in 5:49, a match which Bad News Barrett watched from his podium and gave on-going often hilarious commentary as he mocked Masters mercilessly. Masters though got the win over a tough Shane Hollister to get back to winning ways and only let go of Hollister after a slew of ref's got involved pulling him off.
4. Kharma beat Charlotte and Gail Kim in a triple threat non-title match when she pinned Gail Kim following an Implant Buster in 3:03; Charlotte and Kharma who will clash for the Womens Championship at Fight Night engaged a little with Charlotte playing the matador to Kharma's bull. It was Kharma though who got the win as she caught Kim and blasted her with her powerful finisher for the win.
5. Uhaa Nation (ZG Champion) downed Rich Swann w/Ricochet with the Uhaa Combination in 6:20 in non-title action; the match was peppered with interference from Uhaa's opponent at Fight Night Ricochet who was a constant annoyance to the champ throughout the bout. Nation got the win though and stood tall in the ring as Ricochet dragged his partner Swann out of the ring and headed to the back shouting that Uhaa's time was running out as champ.
6. Tyler Breeze (Cyber TV Champion) downed Ezekiel Jackson with the Beauty Spot in 5:21 in non-title action; Chief of Staff RVD announced that he had hand-picked Jackson as Breeze's warm-up opponent for his title defense against Ryback at Fight Night with the two both being big, powerhouses - and although he had his troubles with the powerful Jackson even luckily slipping out of the Torture Rack at one point, he managed to secure the win and maybe send a message to Ryback that winning the title won't be the walk over he is expecting!
7. Curtis Axel & Kyle O'Reilly w/Paul Heyman & Adrian Neville beat Clean and Dirty (Dan Lawrence & Judd the Janitor) in 3:54 with a Hart Attack variation; Heyman's Paradigm Shift begins to take shape as Axel & O'Reilly warm-up for their title match against The Briscoes with a win over the local chicago team; Heyman got on the mike afterwards and promised The Family they would be even more fractured once their tag team titles leave their family. Adrian Neville was then passed the mike and cockily gloated about his win over Jay Lethal at NWA Summerslam! Neville boasted that without doubt he is the best Junior Heavyweight in the world and the best pound for pound wrestler in the world today! Neville challenged anyone around the alliance to step up and face him at the next NWA PPV Fall Brawl! Personal Demons, Shane Helms, Michael Hayes, Chase Owens...it doesn't matter who it is...."just somebody give me a challenge, please!"
This brings out Will "The Hype" Ferrera and "The Apex of Agility" Andrew Everett, the two rookies who have made a great start to their careers in Chicago and have managed to get under the skin of Heyman and Neville in the process. Last SNL they was just edged out by The Young Bucks but their star rose in the process. Ferrera and Everett say if Neville wants a challenge, why not put the championship on the line against one of them at Fight Night?!
Heyman scoffs and says they've hardly earned an NWA championship match, but he will give them a non-title match and he doesn't mind who Neville faces one or both of them! Ferrera and Everett turn around and say why not the both of them then, triple threat match! Neville takes the mike and say's it's on he doesn't care he will take both of them out! Booker T on commentary says that this is a great opportunity for the two rookies, but with both of the men looking for a win and possibly a title shot against Neville if they win, they won't be able to work together as much when it's every man for himself!
*John Cena comes out to massive boo's alongside Raymond Rowe and Todd Hanson (who have both had a bit of a ropey hair cut after last weeks oil attack by Sugar Dunkerton!) and holds aloft the NWA North American Heavyweight Championship high above his head still the champion. Cena does his usual the champ is here shtick but is interrupted by Sugar Dunkerton!
Dunkerton say's Cena think's he's the billy-big-shot around here and he's standing up for the guys lower down on the totum pole who people like Cena think they can look down on and bully. Cena just laughs, but he soon stops when Dunkerton replays the ending of the last SNL where he caused the War Machines, Raymond Rowe and Todd Hanson to get covered head to toe in oil after they chased him.
Cena say's enough is enough, Dunkerton has annoyed him for weeks now, and just like a fly he's put up with him enough and now needs to swat him! Cena says if Sugar has the balls, he'll give him an NWA North American title shot at Fight Night! But ONLY if he can pin either Raymond Rowe or Todd Hanson tonight. Pick your poison, Rowe or Hanson? Dunkerton selects Hanson of the Cenation as his opponent tonight and it's on.
8. Sugar Dunkerton beats Todd Hanson with the Grand Slam Dunk elbow from the top rope against the run of play in 07:11 and then escaped through the crowd to earn an NWA North American Championship match against John Cena at Fight Night!
9. MAIN-EVENT: Kevin Owens and Adam Cole went to the 10:00 time-limit in what was a tremendous match in non-title action as Owens tried to prove that he was better than a watching at ringside Fin Balor and Cole proved that he belonged with the elite of Windy City. The SNL Judges gave a split-decision points win to Adam Cole! Owens went crazy but Cole bailed out of the ring and walked away making belt motions around his waist; Balor slid into the ring and stood face to face with a seething Owens. Owens pushed Balor, no response. Owens again pushes Balor and Balor slams the champ with a big right hand. It's off, both men are slugging! Owens slings him off into the ropes, Balor ducks around, Pele Kick! Owens is down and slides out of the ring. Balor climbs the turnbuckle and does a belt motion as Owens just shakes his head no as we go off the air with the commentators quickly running down the card for Fight Night!
