Match #1
Elijah Burke vs Jeremiah Plunket
Heavyweight champion Elijah Burke defeats Jeremiah Plunkett in a non title match @ 6:40 via pinfall after The Elijah Experience. Not the first time their paths have crossed with Burke being the one who took away Plunkett's NWA East championship belt in a title vs title ladder match 3.5 months ago. Here tonight was a different story with neither belt at stake, and thus Plunkett deciding to take a hike when the going got rough. As he exited though, Chase Owens appeared to a pop. Plunkett had nowhere to go but back to the ring, where he would get back in and yell down to Owens before turning into a kick and the sitout facebuster from The Pope. Some revenge for Owens from 2 weeks back ahead of their 1 on 1 this Saturday.

Ringside interview w/ Robbie Walker
Terry Boddie is at ringside with the young up and comer. Walker says he wants to talk about the recent actions of Cliff Compton. If anybody knows what it's like to have a tag team partner turn on you, it's Walker himself. He has no respect for Compton's actions of late and leaving Cabana high & dry is a selfish move. Compton comes out, having heard this. He says that Walker needs to mind his own business out here. See, him & Cabana had an arrangement. He brought him in to be Tag Team champions, that's done now, Cabana's not needed and he's gone. But he's here and since Walker clearly needs a lesson in respect, he'll gladly give it to him at the SNS. Walker nods as Compton tells him to be careful what you wish for kid, cause sometimes you get it.
Match #2
Leon Shelly vs Adam Revolver
Adam Revolver defeats Leon Shelly @ 4:52 via the sleeper hold. The return to TV action for the former half of The Mobile Homers proves successful, albeit the choice in competition is not exactly in line with Revolver's comments a couple weeks back. No disrespect to Shelly, but the commentators talk about Revolver's big talk, and here he is against a guy struggling to get a win. Revolver hits the Russian leg sweep and then locks in the sleeper. After his cowardly attack last week though, he will be tested at the SNS this weekend against Dylan Bostic.

Match #3
Paredyse vs Ali Vaez
Paredyse defeats Ali Vaez via DQ @ 5:34 when Shiloh Jonze & Eric Locker interfered. With Mike Hayes out indefinitely, Paredyse & Rockstar Ryan Howe are stuck in a handicap match with The Blacklist at the SNS, and here tonight, they try and get an advantage. Paredyse had control of the singles match against their leader when Jonze & Locker emerged to make the save and give way to a 3 on 1 bea tdown. Howe raced out for the save, but the numbers game was just too much. No Mike Hayes thanks to the scar tissue opening up at the Nightmare Rumble and needing time to heal. Who can Paredyse & Howe turn to?
From the back, somebody races out. It's former OVW champion James 'Moose' Thomas! He hasn't been seen here in years! With his almost Rhino like physique, Thomas spears Jonze. He starts going toe to toe with Locker before clotheslining him over the top rope. Vaez just exits on his own. Thomas yells for them to get back in as the crowd is jacked! The Blacklist choose not to, but it looks like they will have no choice at the SNS. Thomas has some words with Paredyse & Howe, and do they have a partner for Saturday to replace Hayes?

Ringside interview w/ The Wild Boyz
Terry Boddie is joined by the Tag Team champions. Party Starter Bud Dwight says that they heard what The Congregation had to say last week. They're not ones to run & hide so they accept the challenge and the match is on for the SNS! EFD Eddie Diamond says that the tag team division here is exploding, and they have the belts which mean they're targets of any and all teams here. As for their little Freebird rules game, he just hopes The Pastor of Disaster steps in on Saturday so that he will have to tap out to the Crossfire Crossface in front of all the fans he has harassed the last year in Davis Arena.
Match #4
TerreMex vs Country Jacked
TerreMex defeat Country Jacked @ 6:19 when Randy Terrez pinned Corey Hollis after the corkscrew moonsault. Continuing on their winning ways, the new team of Terrez & The Mexicutioner get a big win here today over the former #1 contenders. The commentators put them over as a perfect combination of high flying from Terrez, and Mexicutioner adding the strength, with both having speed & agility. As Terrez hits his finisher, Adam Page attempts to come in and break it up, but ends up taking a clothesline from Mex instead. You can bet they will be watching the Tag Team Title match this weekend at the SNS.

Match #5
Chase Owens vs Chris Silvio
TV champion Chris Silvio defeats Chase Owens in a non title match @ 7:25 via countout. Owens seemingly had Silvio on the ropes here, out in Psychodelic Superstar mode. As with Rudy Switchblade 4 weeks ago, Owens just lays it on. Suplex into a stunner, 2 count. The Deal Breaker, a DVD into a neckbreaker, 2 count. Owens readies for the Roaring Elbow, but Silvio rolls outside. Owens comes after him where Mary Jane is waiting. Silvio uses her as a shield, pushing her into Owens to catch her, then getting a cheap shot. Silvio rolls back in as the referee questions him. As that goes on, Jeremiah Plunkett is out and pushes Owens into the ringpost, and then head first into the steps before taking off. Some revenge of his own from earlier. Silvio gets the countout win and moves on to the SNS to challenge Elijah Burke for the Heavyweight Title in a First Blood match.

Saturday Night Special lineup
Director of Authority Jim Cornette is out to go over the lineup for August 1. Lots of action, including several matches just signed.
- Heavyweight champion Elijah Burke defends vs Chris Silvio in a First Blood match
- Tag Team champions The Wild Boyz defend vs The Congregation
- Women's champion Mary Elizabeth Monroe defends vs Taeler Hendrix
- Chase Owens vs Jeremiah Plunkett
- Dylan Bostic vs Adam Revolver

- Rob Conway vs Marcus Anthony vs Melvin Maximus in a 3 way dance
Also, we heard from CM Punk last week and he said no. At the SNS, Christopher Daniels will be there with Daniel Puder, and he has a response of his own for Mr. Punk.
Match #6
Rob Conway & Marcus Anthony vs Melvin Maximus & The Body Guy
Rob Conway & Marcys Anthony defeat Melvin Maximus & The Body Guy @ 7:03 when Anthony pinned The Body Guy after The Gamma Punch. The partner chosen to replace CM Punk from last week was ... The Body Guy? Joined by Big Jon, this served as a reunion of sorts with Maximus having previously served under Body Guy last year before a split and feud between them. While Maximus got in some offense for the team, eventually Body Guy would blow it for them. Maximus didn't even bother sticking around as he abandons Body Guy rather than make the save. Manager Josh Ashcraft calls him off, leaving Anthony to hit his rolling release suplex fist drop and finish the match.
Big Jon was quickly in, but Conway was there as well. Conway started to work away, eventually going for a clothesline, but Jon moved and Conway hit Anthony! Maximus & Ashcraft enjoyed the show from the outside as Conway & Anthony had a stare down. This Saturday it will be every man for himself in a 3 way dance. Conway may have taken the Nightmare Rumble with an elimination from behind, but this is going to be the real test. And maybe after this, Maximus has the upperhand thanks to brewing problems between his opponents.
A reminder, the Saturday Night Special is August 1 at the Davis Arena. Don't miss it! For Dean Hill, Gilbert Corsey saying so long until next week.
Websclusive match #1
Mandy Leon defeats Ray Lynn @ 5:16 via pinfall after the Leonsault. Ahead of her match with Tessa Blanchard at the SNS, The Egyptian Goddess picks up a win here as she continue to progress. She will look to ruin the high profile debut of the third generation Blanchard this Saturday, and maybe start getting some looks towards a title shot at Mary Elizabeth Monroe with any luck.
Websclusive match #2
Jake Glasure & Jade Dawson defeat Rump Thump & Jon Ramser @ 6:08 when Dawson pinned Rump Thump after interference from Stuart Miles. A rematch of sorts from Futureshock with Glasure replacing Miles sees The Congregation get an important win ahead of their Tag Team Title opportunity at the SNS. Add to it, they demonstrate the third man advantage when Miles hits Rump from behind with the 'good book' as the referee was busy with Ram Jam & Glasure.
